2Modeling of Spatial Distributions of Farmland Density and Its Temporal Change Using Geographically Weighted Regression Model显示文摘This study used spatial autoregression(SAR)model and geographically weighted regression(GWR)model to model the spatial patterns of farmland density and its temporal change in Gucheng County,Hubei Province,China in 1999 and 2009,and discussed the difference between global and local spatial autocorrelations in terms of spatial heterogeneity and non-stationarity.Results showed that strong spatial positive correlations existed in the spatial distributions of farmland density,its temporal change and the driving factors,and the coefficients of spatial autocorrelations decreased as the spatial lag distance increased.SAR models revealed the global spatial relations between dependent and independent variables,while the GWR model showed the spatially varying fitting degree and local weighting coefficients of driving factors and farmland indices(i.e.,farmland density and temporal change).The GWR model has smooth process when constructing the farmland spatial model.The coefficients of GWR model can show the accurate influence degrees of different driving factors on the farmland at different geographical locations.The performance indices of GWR model showed that GWR model produced more accurate simulation results than other models at different times,and the improvement precision of GWR model was obvious.The global and local farmland models used in this study showed different characteristics in the spatial distributions of farmland indices at different scales,which may provide the theoretical basis for farmland protection from the influence of different driving factors.ZHANG Haitao GUO Long CHEN Jiaying FU Peihong GU Jianli LIAO Guangyu 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,2:2

4Functions of Nitrogen,Phosphorus and Potassium in Energy Status and Their Influences on Rice Growth and Development显示文摘Nitrogen(N),phosphorus(P)and potassium(K)are important essential nutrients for plant growth and development,but their functions in energy status remains unclear.Here,we grew Nipponbare rice seedlings in a growth chamber for 20 d at 30℃/24℃day/night)under natural sunlight conditions with different nutrient regimes.The results showed that N had the strongest influence on the plant growth and development,followed by P and K.The highest nonstructural carbohydrate content,dry matter weight,net photosynthetic rate(Pn),ATP content,as well as NADH dehydrogenase,cytochrome oxidase and ATPase activities were found in the plants that received sufficient N,P and K.The lowest values of these parameters were detected in the N-deficient plants.Higher dry matter accumulation was observed in the K-deficient than in the P-deficient treatments,but there was no significant difference in the ratio of respiration rate to Pn between these two treatments,suggesting that differences in energy production efficiency may have accounted for this result.This hypothesis was confirmed by higher ATP contents and activities of NADH dehydrogenase,cytochrome oxidase and ATPase in the K-deficient plants than in the P-deficient plants.We therefore inferred different abilities in energy production efficiency among N,P and K in rice seedlings,which determined rice plant growth and development.MA Jiaying CHEN Tingting LIN Jie FU Weimeng FENG Baohua LI Guangyan LI Hubo LI Juncai WU Zhihai TAO Longxing FU Guanfu 2022Rice science2022,29,2:0
5A Two-dimensional Dual-pore Covalent Organic Framework for Efficient Iodine Capture显示文摘Effectively capturing volatile radioiodine generated during the nuclear fission process is considered to be a safe way to the utilization of nuclear power. Here we report a new two-dimensional covalent organic framework(2D COF), ETTA-PyTTA-COF, as a highly efficient iodine adsorbent, which is constructed through the condensation reaction between 4,4’,4’’,4’’’-(ethene-1,1,2,2-tetrayl)-tetrabenzaldehyde(ETTA) and 1,3,6,8-tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)pyrene(PyTTA). The ETTA-PyTTA-COF possesses a permanent 1D channel porous structure with a high Brunauer-Emmet-Teller(BET) surface area of 1519 m2/g and excellent chemical and thermal stability. 6Human endoderm stem cells reverse inflammation-related acute liver failure through cystatin SN-mediated inhibition of interferon signaling显示文摘Acute liver failure(ALF)is a life-threatening disease that occurs secondary to drug toxicity,infection or a devastating immune response.Orthotopic liver transplantation is an effective treatment but limited by the shortage of donor organs,the requirement for life-long immune suppression and surgical challenges.Stem cell transplantation is a promising alternative therapy for fulminant liver failure owing to the immunomodulatory abilities of stem cells.Here,we report that when transplanted into the liver,human endoderm stem cells(hEnSCs)that are germ layer-specific and nontumorigenic cells derived from pluripotent stem cells are able to effectively ameliorate hepatic injury in multiple rodent and swine drug-induced ALF models.We demonstrate that hEnSCs tune the local immune microenvironment by skewing macrophages/Kupffer cells towards an anti-inflammatory state and by reducing the infiltrating monocytes/macrophages and inflammatory T helper cells.Single-cell transcriptomic analyses of infiltrating and resident monocytes/macrophages isolated from animal livers revealed dramatic changes,including changes in gene expression that correlated with the change of activation states,and dynamic population heterogeneity among these cells after hEnSC transplantation.We further demonstrate that hEnSCs modulate the activation state of macrophages/Kupffer cells via cystatin SN(CST1)-mediated inhibition of interferon signaling and therefore highlight CST1 as a candidate therapeutic agent for diseases that involve over-activation of interferons.We propose that hEnSC transplantation represents a novel and powerful cell therapeutic treatment for ALF.Yilin Xu Jinglin Wang Haozhen Ren Hao Dai Ying Zhou Xiongzhao Ren Yang Wang Sisi Feng Xiaogang Deng Jiaying Wu Tianlong Fu Tengfei Nie Haifeng He Tongkun Wei Bing Zhu Lijian Hui Bin Li Jing Wang Hongyan Wang Luonan Chen Xiaolei Shi Xin Cheng 2023Cell Research2023,33,2:0
7Expanding Corpora for Chinese Polarity Classification via Opinion Paraphrase Generation显示文摘Although much progress has been made to date on sentiment classification, lacking annotated corpora remains a problem. In this paper we propose to expand corpora for Chinese polarity classification via opinion paraphrase generation. To this end, we first exploit three strategies for opinion paraphrase generation, namely sentences re-ordering, opinion element substitution and explicit attribution implying. To improve the quality of the generated opinion paraphrases, we define four criteria for opinion paraphrase evaluation and thus present a filtering algorithm to discard improper opinion paraphrase candidates. To assess the proposed method, we further apply the expanded corpus to a SVM classifier for polarity classification. 8Normalization of Homophonic Words in Chinese Microblogs显示文摘Homophonic words are very popular in Chinese microblog, posing a new challenge for Chinese microblog text analysis. However, to date, there has been very little research conducted on Chinese homophonic words normalization. In this paper, we take Chinese homophonic word normalization as a process of language decoding and propose an n-gram based approach. To this end, we first employ homophonic–original word or character mapping tables to generate normalization candidates for a given sentence with homophonic words, and thus exploit n-gram language models to decode the best normalization from the candidate set. 11Response of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium to alginate oligosaccharides fermented with fecal inoculum:integrated transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses显示文摘Alginate oligosaccharides(AOS),extracted from marine brown algae,are a common functional feed additive;however,it remains unclear whether they modulate the gut microbiota and microbial metabolites.The response of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium,a common poultry pathogen,to AOS fermented with chicken fecal inocula was investigated using metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses.Single-strain cultivation tests showed that AOS did not directly inhibit the growth of S.Typhimurium.However,when AOS were fermented by chicken fecal microbiota,the supernatant of fermented AOS(F-AOS)exhibited remarkable antibacterial activity against S.Typhimurium,decreasing the abundance ratio of S.Typhimurium in the fecal microbiota from 18.94 to 2.94%.Transcriptomic analyses showed that the 855 diferentially expressed genes induced by F-AOS were mainly enriched in porphyrin and chlorophyll metabolism,oxidative phosphorylation,and Salmonella infection-related pathways.RT-qPCR confrmed that F-AOS downregulated key genes involved in fagellar assembly and the type III secretory system of S.Typhimurium,indicating metabolites in F-AOS can infuence the growth and metabolism of S.Typhimurium.Metabolomic analyses showed that 205 microbial metabolites were signifcantly altered in F-AOS.Among them,the increase in indolelactic acid and 3-indolepropionic acid levels were further confrmed using HPLC.This study provides a new perspective for the application of AOS as a feed additive against pathogenic intestinal bacteria.Jiaying Cheng Mengshi Xiao Xinmiao Ren Francesco Secundo Ying Yu Shihao Nan Weimiao Chen Changliang Zhu Qing Kong Youtao Huang Xiaodan Fu Haijin Mou 2023Marine Life Science & Technology2023,5,2:0
12Cecal microbiota transplantation:unique influence of cecal microbiota from divergently selected inbred donor lines on cecal microbial profile,serotonergic activity,and aggressive behavior of recipient chickens显示文摘Background Accumulating evidence from human trials and rodent studies has indicated that modulation of gut microbiota affects host physiological homeostasis and behavioral characteristics.Similarly,alterations in gut micro-biota could be a feasible strategy for reducing aggressive behavior and improving health in chickens.The study was conducted to determine the effects of early-life cecal microbiota transplantation(CMT)on cecal microbial composi-tion,brain serotonergic activity,and aggressive behavior of recipient chickens.Methods Chicken lines 63 and 72 with nonaggressive and aggressive behavior,respectively,were used as donors and a commercial strain Dekalb XL was used as recipients for CMT.Eighty-four 1-d-old male chicks were randomly assigned to 1 of 3 treatments with 7 cages per treatment and 4 chickens per cage(n=7):saline(control,CTRL),cecal solution of line 6_(3)(6_(3)-CMT),and cecal solution of line 7_(2)(7_(2)-CMT).Transplantation was conducted via oral gavage once daily from d 1 to 10,and then boosted once weekly from week 3 to 5.At weeks 5 and 16,home-cage behavior was recorded,and chickens with similar body weights were assigned to paired aggression tests between the treat-ments.Samples of blood,brain,and cecal content were collected from the post-tested chickens to detect CMT-induced biological and microbiota changes.Results 63-CMT chickens displayed less aggressive behavior with a higher hypothalamic serotonergic activity at week 5.Correspondingly,two amplicon sequence variants(ASVs)belonging to Lachnospiraceae and one Ruminococ-caceae UCG-005 ASV were positively correlated with the levels of brain tryptophan and serotonin,respectively.7_(2)-CMT chickens had lower levels of brain norepinephrine and dopamine at week 5 with higher levels of plasma serotonin and tryptophan at week 16.ASVs belonging to Mollicutes RF39 and GCA-900066225 in 7_(2)-CMT chickens were nega-tively correlated with the brain 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid(5-HIAA)at week 5,and one Bacteroides ASV was negatively correlated with plasma serotonin at week 16.Conclusion Results indicate that CMT at an early age could regulate aggressive behavior via modulating the cecal microbial composition,together with central serotonergic and catecholaminergic systems in recipient chickens.The selected CMT could be a novel strategy for reducing aggressive behavior through regulating signaling along the microbiota-gut-brain axis.Yuechi Fu Jiaying Hu Marisa A.Erasmus Huanmin Zhang Timothy A.Johnson Hengwei Cheng 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,5:0
