1Timing and splitting of nitrogen fertilizer supply to increase crop yield and efficiency of nitrogen utilization in a wheat–peanut relay intercropping system in China显示文摘Agronomically optimizing the timing and rates of nitrogen(N) fertilizer application can increase crop yield and decrease N loss to the environment. Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)–peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) relay intercropping systems are a mainstay of economic and food security in China. We performed a field experiment to investigate the effects of N fertilizer on N recovery efficiency, crop yield, and N loss rate in wheat–peanut relay intercropping systems in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, China during 2015–2017. The N was applied on the day before sowing, the jointing stage(G30) or the booting stage(G40) of winter wheat, and the anthesis stage(R1) of peanut in the following percentage splits: 50-50-0-0(N1), 35-35-0-30(N2), and 35-0-35-30(N3), using 300 kg N ha-1, with 0 kg N ha-1(N0) as control. ^(15)N-labeled(20.14 atom %) urea was used to trace the fate of N in microplots. The yields of wheat and peanut increased by 12.4% and 15.4% under the N2 and N3 treatments, relative to those under the N1 treatment. The ^(15)N recovery efficiencies( ^(15)NRE) were 64.9% and 58.1% for treatments N2 and N3, significantly greater than that for the N1 treatment(45.3%). The potential N loss rates for the treatments N2 and N3 were23.7% and 7.0%, significantly lower than that for treatment N1(30.1%). Withholding N supply until the booting stage(N3) did not reduce the wheat grain yield; however, it increased the N content derived from ^(15)N-labeled urea in peanuts, promoted the distribution of ^(15)N to pods, and ultimately increased pod yields in comparison with those obtained by topdressing N at jointing stage(N2). In comparison with N2, the N uptake and N recovery efficiency(NRE) of N3 was increased by 12.0% and 24.1%,respectively, while the apparent N loss decreased by 16.7%. In conclusion, applying N fertilizer with three splits and delaying topdressing fertilization until G40 of winter wheat increased total grain yields and NRE and reduced N loss. 3A Voltage Sensorless Finite Control Set-Model Predictive Control for Three-Phase Voltage Source PWM Rectifiers显示文摘In this paper,a grid voltage sensorless model predictive control is proposed and verified by simulation and experimental tests for a PWM rectifier.The presented method is simple and cost effective due to no need of modulator and voltage sensors.The developed sliding mode voltage observer(SMVO)can theoretically track the grid voltage accurately without phase lag and magnitude error.Based on the proposed SMVO,the finite control set-model predictive control(FCS-MPC)is incorporated for power regulation.The active power and reactive power are calculated and predicted using the measured current and the estimated grid voltage from the SMVO.With the predicated power for one-step delay compensation,the best voltage vector minimizing the tracking error is selected by FCS-MPC.The whole algorithm is implemented in stationary frame without using Park's transformation.Both the simulation and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.Haitao Yang Yongchang Zhang Nong Zhang Paul D.Walker Jihao Gao 2016Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2016,2,2:5
4Modeling and compensation of hysteresis for pneumatic artificial muscles based on Gaussian mixture models显示文摘This paper presents a new data-driven model of length-pressure hysteresis of pneumatic artificial muscles(PAMs) based on Gaussian mixture models(GMMs). By ignoring the high-order dynamics, the hysteresis of PAMs is modeled as a first-order nonlinear dynamical system based on GMMs, and inversion of the model is subsequently derived. Several verification experiments are conducted. Firstly, parameters of the model are identified under low-frequency triangle-wave pressure excitations.Then, pressure signals with different amplitudes, shapes and frequencies are applied to the PAM to test the prediction performance of the model. The proposed model shows advantages in identification efficiency and prediction precision compared with a generalized Prandtl–Ishlinskii(GPI) model and a modified generalized Prandtl–Ishlinskii(MGPI) model. 5New direction of arrival estimation method for wideband coherent signals显示文摘To estimate the direction-of-arrival (DOA) of wideband coherent signals, a new method by modifying the orthogonality of the projected subspaces method is proposed. And it can deal with randomly position perturbed arrays by using the Toeplitz method. This method needn't the primary information of DOA for focusing matrix and the sector dividing of interpolated method, which improving the precision of estimation and reducing the computational complexity. 6Quantifying the effects of long-term news on stock markets on the basis of the multikernel Hawkes process显示文摘Recent studies have revealed that long-term financial news can affect stock markets. However,previous research mainly focuses on modeling the short-term effects of financial news and suffers from the weak ability of quantifying the time-decaying influence of financial news. To fill this gap, this study introduces the Hawkes process to estimate the time-decaying influence of long-term financial news. However, the performance of the conventional Hawkes process is sensitive to the choice of kernel functions. Hence, we propose a novel multikernel-powered Hawkes process framework, which uses multiple kernels to model different time-decaying rates, thus alleviating the instability of our proposed Hawkes process based prediction model.Experimental results show that the proposed framework yields state-of-the-art stock market prediction accuracies on 515 listed companies and gains more profits in market trading simulation compared with baseline methods. 7The production of iron oxide during peridotite serpentinization:Influence of pyroxene显示文摘Serpentinization produces molecular hydrogen(H2)that can support communities of microorganisms in hydrothermal fields;H2 results from the oxidation of ferrous iron in olivine and pyroxene into ferric iron,and consequently iron oxide(magnetite or hematite)forms.However,the mechanisms that control H2 and iron oxide formation are poorly constrained.In this study,we performed serpentinization experiments at 311℃ and 3.0 kbar on olivine(with <5% pyroxene),orthopyroxene,and peridotite.The results show that serpentine and iron oxide formed when olivine and orthopyroxene individually reacted with a saline starting solution.Olivine-derived serpentine had a significantly lower FeO content(6.57±1.30 wt.%)than primary olivine(9.86 wt.%),whereas orthopyroxene-derived serpentine had a comparable FeO content(6.26±0.58 wt.%)to that of primary orthopyroxene(6.24 wt.%).In experiments on peridotite,olivine was replaced by serpentine and iron oxide.However,pyroxene transformed solely to serpentine.After 20 days,olivine-derived serpentine had a FeO content of 8.18±1.56 wt.%,which was significantly higher than that of serpentine produced in olivine-only experiments.By contrast,serpentine after orthopyroxene had a slightly higher FeO content(6.53±1.01 wt.%)than primary orthopyroxene.Clinopyroxene-derived serpentine contained a significantly higher FeO content than its parent mineral.After 120 days,the FeO content of olivine-derived serpentine decreased significantly(5.71±0.35 wt.%),whereas the FeO content of orthopyroxene-derived serpentine increased(6.85±0.63 wt.%)over the same period.This suggests that iron oxide preferentially formed after olivine serpentinization.Pyroxene in peridotite gained some Fe from olivine during the serpentinization process,which may have led to a decrease in iron oxide production.The correlation between FeO content and SiO_2 or AI_2 O_3 content in olivine-and orthopyroxene-derived serpentine indicates that aluminum and silica greatly control the production of iron oxide.Based on our results and data from natural serpentinites reported by other workers,we propose that aluminum may be more influential at the early stages of peridotite serpentinization when the production of iron oxide is very low,whereas silica may have a greater control on iron oxide production during the late stages instead.Ruifang Huang Chiou-Ting Lin Weidong Sun Xing Ding Wenhuan Zhan Jihao Zhu 2017Geoscience Frontiers2017,8,6:3
8Mantle melting beneath the Southwest Indian Ridge: signals from clinopyroxene in abyssal peridotites显示文摘The mineral chemistry and texture of clinopyroxenes in peridotite from the Kingkong tectonic zone of the Southwest Indian Ridge segment in an effort to constrain mantle melting beneath this slow-spreading ridge are reported.There are three types of clinopyroxenes in the abyssal peridotites:coarse-grained,intergranular and exsolved.The compositional variations among these three types suggest that the coarse-grained clinopyroxene is a mantle-derived source.The Al,Na and Ti contents and the Na/Ti ratio of the coarsegrained clinopyroxene may be used to monitor the degree of partial melting,combined with the contradistinction with Spinel Cr#,which is calculated to be between 7.9%and 14.9%,and may represent low degrees of melting in the global ocean ridge system.The along-axis compositional variations in the coarse-grained clinopyroxene suggest that the degree of partial melting is primarily controlled by the transform faults on both sides of the ridge.Nonetheless,the northwestern side of the ridge may be affected by a hypothesised detachment fault as documented by the calculated P-T conditions.Simultaneously high Na and low Ti contents in the coarse-grained clinopyroxene points to mantle heterogeneities along the ridge axis.WANG Wei CHU Fengyou ZHU Jihao DONG Yanhui YU Xing CHEN Ling LI Zhenggang 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,12:2

11Tephra records from abyssal sediments off western Sumatra in recent 135 ka: evidence from Core IR-GC1显示文摘Three volcanic ash layers were identified in a deep-sea Core IR-GC1 from the north-eastern Indian Ocean, adjacent to western Indonesian arc. They were dominated by glass shards with minor mineral crystals, such as plagioclase, biotite, and hornblende. According to the morphology and major element compositions of the representative glass shards, combined with the δ18O-based age, it is suggested that ash Layer A is correlated to the youngest Toba tuff(YTT), Layer B is supposed to be associated with a new eruption of Toba caldera in an age of 98 to 100 ka.
