| 3 | Role of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in percutaneous radiofrequency ablation of liver metastases and efficacy evaluation显示文摘Objective: To retrospectively investigate the role of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) in percutaneous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in patients with liver metastases and evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of RFA assisted by CEUS. Methods: From May 2004 to September 2010, 136 patients with 219 liver metastatic lesions received CEUS examination 1 h before RFA (CEUS group), and other 126 patients with 216 lesions without CEUS examination in the earlier period were served as a historical control group. The mean tumor size was 3.2 cm and the mean tumor number was 1.6 in the CEUS group, while 3.4 cm and 1.7 in the control group, respectively (P>0.05). The clinical characteristics, recurrence results and survival outcomes were compared between two groups. Results: In the CEUS group, two isoechoic tumors were not demonstrated on unenhanced ultrasonography (US), and 63 (47%) of 134 tumors examined with CEUS were 0.3 cm larger than with unenhanced US. Furthermore, in 18.4% of 136 patients, additional 1-3 tumors were detected on CEUS. The CEUS group showed higher early tumor necrosis and lower intrahepatic recurrence than the control group. The 3-year overall survival (OS) rate and the 3-year local recurrence-free survival (LRFS) rate in the CEUS group were 50.1% and 38.3%, in contrast to 25.3% and 19.3% in the control group, respectively (P=0.002 and P<0.001). | 6 | Evaluation of coronary plaque and stent deployment by intravascular optical coherence tomography in elderly patients with unstable angina and non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction显示文摘Objective To evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of intravascular optical coherence tomography (OCT) in the assessment of plaque characteristics and drug eluting stent deployment quality in the elderly patients with unstable angina (UA) and non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). Methods OCT was used in elderly patients undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions. Fifteen patients, 9 males and 6 females with mean age of 72.6±5.3 years (range 67-92 years) were enrolled in the study. Images were obtained before initial balloon dilatation and following stent deployment. The plaque characteristics before dilation, vessel dissection, tissue prolapse, stent apposition and strut distribution after stent implantation were evaluated. Results Fifteen lesions were selected from 32 angiographic lesions as study lesions for OCT imaging after diagnostic coronary angiography. There were 7 lesions in the left anterior descending artery, 5 lesions in the right coronary artery and 3 lesions in the left circumflex coronary artery. Among them, 12 (80.0%) were lipid-rich plaques, and 10 (66.7%) were vulnerable plaques with fibrous cap thickness 54.2±7.3 μm. Seven ruptured culprit plaques (46.7%) were found; 4 in UA patients and 3 in NSTEMI patients. Tissue prolapse was observed in 11 lesions (73.3%). Irregular stent strut distribution was detected in 8 lesions (53.3%). Vessel dissections were found in 5 lesions (33.3%). Incomplete stent apposition was observed in 3 stents (20%) with mean spacing between the struts and the vessel wall 172±96 mm (range 117-436 mm). | 7 | The metastable constituent effects on size-dependent deformation behavior of nanolaminated micropillars: Cu/FeCoCrNi vs Cu/CuZr显示文摘Metastable high entropy alloys(HEAs) and amorphous metallic glasses(MGs), with the chemical disordered character, are intensively studied due to their excellent performance. Here, we introduce Cu to separately constrain these two metastable materials and comparatively investigate their deformation behaviors and mechanical properties of Cu/HEA Fe Co Cr Ni and Cu/MG Cu Zr nanolaminated micropillars in terms of intrinsic layer thickness h and extrinsic pillar diameter D. The metastable HEA layers, as the hard phase in Cu/HEA micropillars, are stable and dominate the deformation, while transformation(crystallization) occurs in MG which plays a minor role in deformation of Cu/MG micropillars. The h-controlled deformation mode transits from the D-independent homogenous-like deformation at large h to the Ddependent shear banding at small h in both Cu/HEA and Cu/MG micropillars. Although both Cu/HEA and Cu/MG micropillars exhibit a maximum strain hardening capability controlled by h, the former manifests much lower hardening capability compared with the latter. The intrinsic size h and extrinsic size D have a strong coupling effect on the strength of Cu/HEA and Cu/MG micropillars. The strength of strength of Cu/HEA micropillars exhibits the D-dependent transition from 'smaller is stronger' to 'smaller is weaker'with increasing h. | 10 | Flexibility improvement evaluation of hydrogen storage based on electricity-hydrogen coupled energy model显示文摘To achieve carbon neutrality by 2060,decarbonization in the energy sector is crucial.Hydrogen is expected to be vital for achieving the aim of carbon neutrality for two reasons:use of power-to-hydrogen(P2H)can avoid carbon emissions from hydrogen production,which is traditionally performed using fossil fuels;Hydrogen from P2H can be stored for long durations in large scales and then delivered as industrial raw material or fed back to the power system depending on the demand.In this study,we focus on the analysis and evaluation of hydrogen value in terms of improvement in the flexibility of the energy system,particularly that derived from hydrogen storage.An electricity-hydrogen coupled energy model is proposed to realize the hourly-level operation simulation and capacity planning optimization aiming at the lowest cost of energy.Based on this model and considering Northwest China as the region of study,the potential of improvement in the flexibility of hydrogen storage is determined through optimization calculations in a series of study cases with various hydrogen demand levels.The results of the quantitative calculations prove that effective hydrogen storage can improve the system flexibility by promoting the energy demand balance over a long term,contributing toward reducing the investment cost of both generators and battery storage and thus the total energy cost.This advantage can be further improved when the hydrogen demand rises.However,a cost reduction by 20%is required for hydrogen-related technologies to initiate hydrogen storage as long-term energy storage for power systems.This study provides a suggestion and reference for the advancement and planning of hydrogen storage development in regions with rich sources of renewable energy. | Chen Jin Jinyu Xiao Jinming Hou Xiaoqing Wu Jinxuan Zhang Ershun Du | 2021 | Global Energy Interconnection2021,4,4: | 3 |
| 11 | Characteristic dysbiosis in gout and the impact of a uric acid-lowering treatment,febuxostat on the gut microbiota显示文摘Gut dysbiosis is suggested to play a critical role in the pathogenesis of gout.The aim of our study was to identify the characteristic dysbiosis of the gut microbiota in gout patients and the impact of a commonly used uric acid-lowering treatment,febuxostat on gut microbiota in gout.16S ribosomal RNA sequencing and metagenomic shotgun sequencing was performed on fecal DNA isolated from 38 untreated gout patients,38 gout patients treated with febuxostat,and 26 healthy controls.A restriction of gut microbiota biodiversity was detected in the untreated gout patients,and the alteration was partly restored by febuxostat.Biochemical metabolic indexes involved in liver and kidney metabolism were significantly associated with the gut microbiota composition in gout patients.Functional analysis revealed that the gut microbiome of gout patients had an enriched function on carbohydrate metabolism but a lower potential for purine metabolism,which was comparatively enhanced in the febuxostat treated gout patients.A classification microbial model obtained a high mean area under the curve up to 0.973.Therefore,gut dysbiosis characterizings gout could potentially serve as a noninvasive diagnostic tool for gout and may be a promising target of future preventive interventions. | Suxian Lin Tao Zhang Lingxiao Zhu Kun Pang Saisai Lu Xin Liao Senhong Ying Lixia Zhu Xin Xu Jinyu Wu Xiaobing Wang | 2021 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,9: | 3 |
| 12 | Precise robust motion control of cell puncture mechanism driven by piezoelectric actuators with fractional-order nonsingular terminal slidingmode control显示文摘A novel robust controller is proposed in this study to realize the precise motion control of a cell puncture mechanism(CPM)driven by piezoelectric ceramics(PEAs).The entire dynamic model of CPM is constructed based on the Bouc–Wen model,and the nonlinear part of the dynamic model is optimized locally to facilitate the construction of a robust controller.A model-based,nonlinear robust controller is constructed using time-delay estimation(TDE)and fractional-order nonsingular terminal sliding mode(FONTSM).The proposed controller does not require prior knowledge of unknown disturbances due to its real-time online estimation and compensation of unknown terms by using the TDE technology.The controller also has finite-time convergence and high-precision trajectory tracking capabilities due to FONTSM manifold and fast terminal sliding mode-type reaching law.The stability of the closed-loop system is proved by Lyapunov stability theory.Computer simulation and hardware-in-loop simulation experiments of CPM verify that the proposed controller outperforms traditional terminal sliding mode controllers,such as the integer-order or model-free controller.The proposed controller can also continuously output without chattering and has high control accuracy.Zebrafish embryo is used as a verification target to complete the cell puncture experiment.From the engineering application perspective,the proposed control strategy can be effectively applied in a PEA-driven CPM. | Shengdong Yu Hongtao Wu Mingyang Xie Haiping Lin Jinyu Ma | 2020 | Bio-Design and Manufacturing2020,3,4: | 2 |

| 15 | One-dimensional ZnSe@N-doped carbon nanofibers with simple electrospinning route for superior Na/K-ion storage显示文摘One-dimensional carbon nanofibers are widely applied as anode material in the energy storage field due to its unique structure and high conductivity. In this work, one-dimensional ZnSe@N-doped carbon nanofibers(ZnSe@NC NFs) are successfully synthesized by electrospinning and annealed without extra troublesome conditions. ZnSe nanocrystals are enfolded in the N-doped carbon nanofibers, which can act as a protective layer to avoid the volume expansion of active material and promote ion transport during the cycling process. More importantly, the as-synthesized ZnSe@NC NFs are served as the anode material and display the admirable storage properties for Na/K-ion batteries. The one-dimensional Zn Se@NC NFs material shows the high capacity of 237 mAh/g for Na-ion batteries at a current density of 1 A/g for 2000cycles. Meanwhile, it also delivers a high discharge capacity of 337 mAh/g for K-ion batteries at 0.2 A/g for 300 cycles.
