2Flame retardant polyamide 6 by in situ polymerization of ε-caprolactam in the presence of melamine derivatives显示文摘An improved method for preparing melamine cyanurate (MCA) based flame retardant polyamide 6 (FRPA6) materials has been proposed. This processing method, i.e., improved in situ polymerization, was used to synthesize flame retardant PA6. In situ formed MCA nanoparticles were supposed to be linked to PA6 chains in the e-caprolactam hydrolytic polymerization system to obtain star- type polymers for the first time. Through TEM photographs, it can be found that the in situ formed MCA nanoparticles with diametric size of less than 50 nm, are nanoscaled, highly uniformly dispersed in the PA6 matrix. 3Application of a catch-based method for stock assessment of three important fisheries in the East China Sea显示文摘Most fisheries in China do not have maximum sustainable yield(MSY) estimates due to limited and poor data.Therefore, finding a common method to estimate MSY or total allowable catch(TAC) for fishery management is necessary. MSYs of three important fisheries in the East China Sea were evaluated through a catch-based model.Estimates for intrinsic rate of increase(r) and five levels of process error were considered. Results showed hairtail Trichiurus japonicas(Temminck and Schlegel) and small yellow croaker Larimichthys polyactis(Bleeker) fisheries experienced overfishing from the mid-1990 s to the early 2000 s, and the suggested TACs were 55.8×10~4 t and9.06×10~4 t, respectively. 4Deposition of FeCoNiCrMn high entropy alloy(HEA) coating via cold spraying显示文摘High entropy alloys(HEAs) are of great interest in the community of materials science and engineering due to their unique phase structure. They are constructed with five or more principal alloying elements in equimolar or near-equimolar ratio. Therefore, HEAs can derive their performance from multiple principal elements rather than a single element. In this work, solid-state cold spraying(CS) was applied for the first time to produce FeCoNiCrMn HEA coating. The experimental results confirm that CS can be used to produce a thick HEA coating with low porosity. As a low-temperature deposition process, CS completely retained the HEA phase structure in the coating without any phase transformation. The characterization also reveals that the grains in the CSed HEA coating had experienced significant refinement as compared to those in the as-received HEA powder due the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization at the highly deformed interparticle region. Due to the increased dislocation density and grain boundaries,CSed HEA coating was much harder than the as-received powder. 5Serum Uric Acid is Associated with the Predicted Risk of Prevalent Cardiovascular Disease in a Community-dwelling Population without Diabetes显示文摘Objective To examine the association between serum uric acid levels and cardiovascular disease risk among individuals without diabetes. Methods We investigated the association between serum uric acid levels and the risk of prevalent cardiometabolic diseases, 10-year Framingham risk for coronary heart disease, and 10-year risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases(ASCVD) among 8,252 participants aged ≥ 40 years without diabetes from Jiading district, Shanghai, China. Results Body mass index, waist circumference, blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, blood pressure, and serum lipids increased progressively across the sex-specific quartiles of uric acid(all P trend < 0.05). Compared with individuals in the lowest quartile, those in the higher quartiles had a significantly higher prevalence of obesity, hypertension, and dyslipidemia(all P trend < 0.05). A fully adjusted logistic regression analysis revealed that individuals in the highest quartile had an increased risk of predicted cardiovascular disease compared with those in the lowest quartile of uric acid. The multivariate adjusted odds ratios(ORs) [95% confidence intervals(CIs)] for the highest quartiles for high Framingham risk were 3.00(2.00-4.50) in men and 2.95(1.08-8.43) in women. The multivariate adjusted ORs(95% CIs) for the highest quartile for high ASCVD risk were 1.93(1.17-3.17) in men and 4.53(2.57-7.98) in women. 7Structural evolution of non dendritic AlSi7Mg alloy during reheating显示文摘The structural evolution of non dendritic AlSi7Mg alloy during reheating in resistance furnace was studied. The alloy ingots were produced by electromagnetic stirring during solidification. It was found that, the Si phase in eutectic dissolves in a way of diffusion toward α phase, its appearance changes from flake to dot like, and tends to be fine and spheroidal with increasing reheating temperature. The thinner the flake, the lower the temperature for the occurrence of this process, and the higher the transforming speed. The eutectic melts partially when Si phase dissolves to some extent, and the morphology and size of primary α phase begin to change. The dendrite and rosette α phases tends to sphericize. The size of the former becomes larger, while the size of the latter reduces to be 1/2~1/4 of the original size. 8A transgene-free method for rapid and efficient generation of precisely edited pigs without monoclonal selection显示文摘Gene-edited pigs for agricultural and biomedical applications are typically generated using somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT).However, SCNT requires the use of monoclonal cells as donors, and the time-consuming and laborious monoclonal selection process limits the production of large populations of gene-edited animals. Here, we developed a rapid and efficient method named RE-DSRNP(reporter RNA enriched dual-sg RNA/CRISPR-Cas9 ribonucleoproteins) for generating gene-edited donor cells. RE-DSRNP takes advantage of the precise and efficient editing features of dual-sg RNA and the high editing efficiency, low off-target effects, transgene-free nature, and low cytotoxic characteristics of reporter RNA enriched RNPs(CRISPR-Cas9ribonucleoproteins), thus eliminating the need for the selection of monoclonal cells and thereby greatly reducing the generation time of donor cells from 3–4 weeks to 1 week, while also reducing the extent of apoptosis and chromosomal aneuploidy of donor cells. We applied RE-DSRNP to produce cloned pigs bearing a deletion edit of the wild-type p53-induced phosphatase 1(WIP1)gene: among 32 weaned cloned pigs, 31(97%) carried WIP1 edits, and 15(47%) were homozygous for the designed fragment deletion, and no off-target event was detected. The WIP1 knockout(KO) pigs exhibited male reproductive disorders, illustrating the utility of RE-DSRNP for rapidly generating precisely edited animals for functional genomics and disease research. 10Area and volume ratios for prediction of visual outcome in idiopathic macular hole显示文摘AIM:To predict the visual outcome in patients undergoing macular hole surgery by two novel three-dimensional morphological parameters on optical coherence tomography(OCT): area ratio factor(ARF) and volume ratio factor(VRF).METHODS: A clinical case series was conducted,including 54 eyes of 54 patients with an idiopathic macular hole(IMH). Each patient had an OCT examination before and after surgery. Morphological parameters of the macular hole,such as minimum diameter,base diameter,and height were measured. Then,the macular hole index(MHI),tractional hole index(THI),and hole form factor(HFF) were calculated. Meanwhile,novel postoperative macular hole(MH) factors,ARF and VRF were calculated by three-dimensional morphology. Bivariate correlations were performed to acquire asymptotic significance values between the steady best corrected visual acuity(BCVA) after surgery and 2D/3D arguments of MH by the Pearson method with two-tailed test. All significant factors were analyzed by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis of SPSS software which were responsible for vision recovery. ROC curves analyses were performed to further discuss the different parameters on the prediction of visual outcome.RESULTS: The mean and standard deviation values of patients' age,symptoms duration,and follow-up time were 64.8±8.9y(range: 28-81),18.6±11.5d(range: 2-60),and 11.4±0.4mo(range: 6-24),respectively. Steady-postBCVA analyzed with bivariate correlations was found to be significantly correlated with base diameter(r=0.521,P<0.001),minimum diameter(r=0.514,P<0.001),MHI(r=-0.531,P<0.001),THI(r=-0.386,P=0.004),HFF(r=-0.508,P<0.001),and ARF(r=-0.532,P<0.001). Other characteristic parameters such as age,duration of surgery,height,diameter hole index,and VRF were not statistically significant with steady-post-BCVA. According to area under the curve(AUC) values,values of ARF,MHI,HFF,minimum diameter,THI,and base diameter are 0.806,0.772,0.750,0.705,0.690,and 0.686,respectively. However,Steady-post-BCVA analysis with bivariate correlations for VRF was no statistical significance. Results of ROC curve analysis indicated that the MHI value,HFF,and ARF was greater than 0.427,1.027 and 1.558 respectively which could correlate with better visual acuity.CONCLUSION: Compared with MHI and HFF,ARF could effectively express three-dimensional characteristics of macular hole and achieve better sensitivity and specificity. 11Variations in paleoproductivity and the environmental implications over the past six decades in the Changjiang Estuary显示文摘Total organic carbon and organic carbon stable isotope, biogenic silica, chlorin were measured from a high resolution sediment core to indicate the variation in paleoproductivity and the environmental implications over the past decades (1942 to 1997) in the Changjiang Estuary. Based on these biomarkers, the shift in the phytoplankton community structure in the past decades was discussed in response to the long-term variations in nutrient concentrations and nutrient ratios. The results showed that the δ 13 C values varied from –26.15‰ to –19.5‰, suggesting the combined organic carbon sources of riverine and marine organisms. Based on the biogenic proxies, paleoproductivity changes were categorized into three stages: low production before 1950; an increase in production with the dominance of diatoms during 1950 to 1980, consistent with increasing of nutrient concentrations; a decrease in production after 1980 when the diatom production decreased while the production of non-silicious phytoplankton increased due to high nutrient inputs, and high N/P and P/Si ratios in the Changjiang Estuary. 12Review of CHINARE chemical oceanographic research in the Southern Ocean during 1984–2016显示文摘Between 1984 and 2016, China executed 33 Antarctic cruises with the icebreaker R/V Xuelong, which have provided opportunities for Chinese scientists to investigate the status and changes of the Southern Ocean. Research in chemical oceanography constitutes one of the primary missions of the Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition(CHINARE). This paper reviews nearly 30 years of Chinese Antarctic expeditions, focusing on the major progress achieved in chemical oceanographic research. Specifically, the sea-surface distributions and air–sea fluxes of CO_2 and N_2O are considered, and the transport, flux, and budget of organic matter are investigated based on isotopes in the Southern Ocean, especially in Prydz Bay. In addition, the nutrient distribution and deep-water particle export in Prydz Bay and the study of aerosol heavy metal characteristics are considered. 15Magnetostratigraphy and ^(230)Th dating of a drill core from the southeastern Qaidam Basin:Salt lake evolution and tectonic implications显示文摘The Qarhan Salt Lake area is the Quaternary depocenter of the Qaidam Basin, and carries thick lacustrine sediments, as well as rich potassium and magnesium salt deposits. The abundant resources and thick sediments in this lake provide an ideal place for the study of biogas formation and preservation, salt lake evolution, and the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau. In this study, we attempt to construct a paleomagnetic and ^(230)Th age model and to obtain information on tectonic activity and salt lake evolution through detailed studies on a 1300-m-long drill core(15DZK01) from the northwestern margin of the Qarhan Salt Lake area(Dongling Lake). Based on gypsum ^(230)Th dating, the age of the uppermost clastic deposit was calculated to be around 0.052 Ma. The polarity sequence consist of 13 pairs of normal and reversed zones,which can be correlated with subchrons C2r.1r-C1n of the geomagnetic polarity timescale(GPTS 2012)(from ~2.070 Ma to ~0.052 Ma). Sedimentary characteristics indicate that Dongling Lake witnessed freshwater environment between ~ 2.070 Ma and 1.546 Ma. During this period, the sedimentary record reflects primarily lakeshore, shallow-water and swamp environments, representing favourable conditions for the formation of hydrocarbon source rocks. Between 1.546 Ma and ~ 0.052 Ma, the Dongling Lake was in sulphate deposition stage, which contrasts with the central Qarhan Salt Lake area, where this stage did not occur in the meantime. During this stage, Dongling Lake was in a shallow saltwater lake environment, but several periods of reduced salinity occurred during this stage. During the late Pleistocene at ~0.052 Ma, the Dongling Lake experienced uplift due to tectonic activity, and saltwater migrated through the Sanhu Fault to the central Qarhan Salt Lake area, resulting in the absence of halite deposition stage. 16Predicting dynamic cellular protein–RNA interactions by deep learning using in vivo RNA structures显示文摘Interactions with RNA-binding proteins(RBPs)are integral to RNA function and cellular regulation,and dynamically reflect specific cellular conditions.However,presently available tools for predicting RBP–RNA interactions employ RNA sequence and/or predicted RNA structures,and therefore do not capture their condition-dependent nature.Here,after profiling transcriptome-wide in vivo RNA secondary structures in seven cell types,we developed PrismNet,a deep learning tool that integrates experimental in vivo RNA structure data and RBP binding data for matched cells to accurately predict dynamic RBP binding in various cellular conditions.PrismNet results for 168 RBPs support its utility for both understanding CLIP-seq results and largely extending such interaction data to accurately analyze additional cell types.Further,PrismNet employs an“attention”strategy to computationally identify exact RBP-binding nucleotides,and we discovered enrichment among dynamic RBP-binding sites for structure-changing variants(riboSNitches),which can link genetic diseases with dysregulated RBP bindings.Our rich profiling data and deep learning-based prediction tool provide access to a previously inaccessible layer of cell-type-specific RBP–RNA interactions,with clear utility for understanding and treating human diseases.Lei Sun Kui Xu Wenze Huang Yucheng T.Yang Pan Li Lei Tang Tuanlin Xiong Qiangfeng Cliff Zhang 2021Cell Research2021,31,5:6

18PbGA2ox8 induces vascular-related anthocyanin accumulation and contributes to red stripe formation on pear fruit显示文摘Fruit with stripes,which are generally longitudinal,can occur naturally,but the bioprocesses underlying this phenomenon are unclear.Previously,we observed an atypical anthocyanin distribution that caused red-striped fruit on the spontaneous pear bud sport“Red Zaosu”(Pyrus bretschneideri Rehd.).In this study,comparative transcriptome analysis of the sport and wild-type“Zaosu”revealed that this atypical anthocyanin accumulation was tightly correlated with abnormal overexpression of the gene-encoding gibberellin(GA)2-beta-dioxygenase 8,PbGA2ox8.Consistently,decreased methylation was also observed in the promoter region of PbGA2ox8 from“Red Zaosu”compared with“Zaosu”.Moreover,the GA levels in“Red Zaosu”seedlings were lower than those in“Zaosu”seedlings,and the application of exogenous GA4 reduced abnormal anthocyanin accumulation in“Red Zaosu”.Transient overexpression of PbGA2ox8 reduced the GA4 level and caused anthocyanin accumulation in pear fruit skin.Moreover,the presence of red stripes indicated anthocyanin accumulation in the hypanthial epidermal layer near vascular branches(VBs)in“Red Zaosu”.Transient overexpression of PbGA2ox8 resulting from vacuum infiltration induced anthocyanin accumulation preferentially in calcium-enriched areas near the vascular bundles in pear leaves.We propose a fruit-striping mechanism,in which the abnormal overexpression of PbGA2ox8 in“Red Zaosu”induces the formation of a longitudinal array of anthocyanin stripes near vascular bundles in fruit.Rui Zhai Zhigang Wang Chengquan Yang Kui Lin-Wang Richard Espley Jianlong Liu Xieyu Li Zhongying Wu Pengmin Li Qingmei Guan Fengwang Ma Lingfei Xu 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:5

20Designing a Phthalonitrile/Benzoxazine Blend for the Advanced GFRP Composite Materials显示文摘High performance resin must be used in the high performance glass fiber-reinforced plastic(GFRP) composites, but it is sometimes difficult to balance the processabilities and the final properties in the design of advanced thermoset GFRP composites. In this study, a phthalonitrile/benzoxazine(PPN/BZ) blend with excellent processability has been designed and applied in the GFRP composite materials. PPN/BZ blend with good solubility, low melt viscosity, appropriate gel condition and low-temperature curing behavior could enable their GFRP composite preparation with the prepreg-laminate method under a relatively mild condition. The resulted PPN/BZ GFRP composites exhibit excellent mechanical properties with flexural strength over 700 MPa and flexural modulus more than 19 GPa. Fracture surface morphologies of the PPN/BZ GFRP composites show that the interfacial adhesion between resin and GF is improved. The temperatures at weight loss 5%(T_(5%)) and char residue at 800 °C of all PPN/BZ GFRP composites are over 435 °C and 65% respectively.
