1Secretory/releasing proteome-based identification of plasma biomarkers in HBV-associated hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘For successful therapy, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) must be detected at an early stage. Herein, we used a proteomic approach to analyze the secretory/releasing proteome of HCC tissues to identify plasma biomarkers. Serum-free conditioned media (CM) were collected from primary cultures of cancerous tissues and surrounding noncancerous tissues. Proteomic analysis of the CM proteins permitted the identification of 1365 proteins. The enriched molecular functions and biological processes of the CM proteins, such as hydrolase activity and catabolic processes, were consistent with the liver being the most important metabolic organ. Moreover, 19% of the proteins were characterized as extracellular or membrane-bound. For validation, secretory proteins involved in transforming growth factor-β signaling pathways were validated in plasma samples. Alphafetoprotein (AFP), metalloproteinase (MMP)1, osteopontin (OPN), and pregnancy-specific beta-1-glycoprotein (PSG)9 were significantly increased in HCC patients. The overall performance of MMP1 and OPN in the diagnosis of HCC remained greater than that of AFP. In addition, this study represents the first report of MMP1 as a biomarker with a higher sensitivity and specificity than AFP. Thus, this study provides a valuable resource of the HCC secretome with the potential to investigate serological biomarkers. 2Use of catalytic wet air oxidation (CWAO) for pretreatment of high-salinity high-organic wastewater显示文摘Catalytic wet air oxidation(CWAO)coupled desalination technology provides a possibility for the effective and economic degradation of high salinity and high organic wastewater.Chloride widely occurs in natural and wastewaters,and its high content jeopardizes the efficacy of Advanced oxidation process(AOPs).Thus,a novel chlorine ion resistant catalyst Bsite Ru doped LaFe_(1-x)Ru_(x)O_(3-)δin CWAO treatment of chlorine ion wastewater was examined.Especially,LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-δ)was 45.5% better than that of the 6%RuO_(2)@TiO_(2)(commercial carrier)on total organic carbon(TOC)removal.Also,doped catalysts LaFe_(1-x)Ru_(x)O_(3-)δshowed better activity than supported catalysts RuO_(2)@LaFeO_(3) and RuO_(2)@TiO_(2) with the same Ru content.Moreover,LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-)δhas novel chlorine ion resistance no matter the concentration of Cl^(−) and no Ru dissolves after the reaction.X-ray diffraction(XRD)refinement,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),transmission electron microscope(TEM),and X-ray absorption fine structure(XAFS)measurements verified the structure of LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-)δ.Kinetic data and density functional theory(DFT)proved that Fe is the site of acetic acid oxidation and adsorption of chloride ions.The existence of Fe in LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-)δcould adsorb chlorine ion(catalytic activity inhibitor),which can protect the Ru site and other active oxygen species to exert catalytic activity.This work is essential for the development of chloride-resistant catalyst in CWAO.Wenjing Sun Hongxia Lv Lei Ma Xiangdong Tan Chengyu Jin Huiling Wu Lili Chen Mengyang Liu Huangzhao Wei Chenglin Sun 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,10:4

4Core-shell Ni_(3)Sn_(2)@C particles anchore d on 3D N-dope d porous carbon skeleton for modulated electromagnetic wave absorption显示文摘Synthesizing multi-component composites via a straightforward,reliable,and scalable approach has been challenging.Herein,a three-dimensional nitrogen-doped porous carbon decorated with core-shell Ni_(3)Sn_(2)@carbon particles(3D N-PC/Ni_(3)Sn_(2)@C)was customized through a simple salt-template pyrolysis approach.The formed Ni_(3)Sn_(2) particles are perfectly surrounded by crystalline carbon layers and em-bedded in 3D carbon walls during pyrolysis.The dual protection of crystalline carbon layers and porous carbon walls guarantees the electrical conductivity and stability of Ni_(3)Sn_(2).The intriguing 3D and core-shell structure coupled with the introduction of multiple components empowers the composite with rich heterogeneous interface and conductive network,and contributes to the lightweight,corrosion resistance,oxidation resistance,and superior stability of electromagnetic(EM)wave absorbers.The N-PC/Ni_(3)Sn_(2)@C possesses the minimum reflection loss(RL min)of-54.01 dB and wide effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 7.36 GHz under a low filler content of less than 10%.The concept in the work proposes a facile,eco-friendly,and scalable pathway for the synthesis of other heterogeneous structures of EM wave ab-sorbers.Hongxia Zhang Kaige Sun Kangkang Sun Lei Chen Guanglei Wu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,27:4
5Kinetics, thermodynamics, and equilibrium of As(Ⅲ),Cd(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ) and Pb(Ⅱ) adsorption using porous chitosan bead-supported MnFe_(2)O_(4) nanoparticles显示文摘A novel porous nanocomposite,cross-linked chitosan and polyethylene glycol(PEG) bead-supported MnFe_(2) O_(4) nanoparticles(CPM),was developed as an efficient adsorbent to remove metalloid(As(Ⅲ))and heavy metals(Cd(Ⅱ),Cu(Ⅱ),and Pb(Ⅱ)).The characteristics of CPM showed a porous structure,well dispersed MnFe_(2) O_(4),and several of hydroxyl and amino groups(-OH,-NH_(2)).Batch experiments demonstrated that the best adsorption property of As(Ⅲ),Cd(Ⅱ),Cu(Ⅱ),and Pb(Ⅱ) was achieved within 8 h with maximum adsorption capacities of 9.90,9.73,43.94,and 11.98 mg/g,respectively.Competitive and synergistic effects(particularly precipitation) were included in the co-adsorption mechanism of As(Ⅲ) and heavy metals.Thereinto,As(Ⅲ) was partly oxidized by MnFe_(2) O_(4) to As(V),and both were coordinated on MnFe_(2) O_(4) nanoparticles.Pb(Ⅱ) could also bind to MnFe_(2) O_(4) by ion exchange and electrostatic attraction.Furthermore,Cd(Ⅱ) and Cu(Ⅱ) tended to be coordinated on chitosan.Therefore,CPM can serve as a remediation material for water and soil co-contaminated with As(Ⅲ) and heavy metals.Hongxia Li Hongbing Ji Xinglan Cui Xiaokui Che Qidong Zhang Juan Zhong Rongzhen Jin Lei Wang Yi Luo 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,6:2
6Association of assisted reproductive technology, germline de novo mutations and congenital heart defects in a prospective birth cohort study显示文摘Emerging evidence suggests that children conceived through assisted reproductive technology(ART)have a higher risk of congenital heart defects(CHDs)even when there is no family history.De novo mutation(DNM)is a well-known cause of sporadic congenital diseases;however,whether ART procedures increase the number of germline DNM(gDNM)has not yet been well studied.Here,we performed whole-genome sequencing of 1137 individuals from 160 families conceived through ART and 205 families conceived spontaneously.Children conceived via ART carried 4.59 more gDNMs than children conceived spontaneously,including 332 paternal and 1.26 maternal DNMs,after correcting for parental age at conception,cigarette smoking,alcohol drinking,and exercise behaviors.Paternal DNMs in offspring conceived via ART are characterized by C>T substitutions at CpG sites,which potentially affect protein-coding genes and are significantly associated with the increased risk of CHD.In addition,the accumulation of non-coding functional mutations was independently associated with CHD and 87.9% of the mutations were originated from the father.Among ART offspring,infertility of the father was associated with elevated paternal DNMs;usage of both recombinant and urinary follicle-stimulating hormone and high-dosage human chorionic gonadotropin trigger was associated with an increase of maternal DNMs.In sum,the increased gDNMs in offspring conceived by ART were primarily originated from fathers,indicating that ART itself may not be a major reason for the accumulation of gDNMs.Our findings emphasize the importance of evaluating the germline status of the fathers in families with the use of ART.Cheng Wang Hong Lv Xiufeng Ling Hong Li Feiyang Diao Juncheng Dai Jiangbo Du Ting Chen Qi Xi Yang Zhao Kun Zhou Bo Xu Xiumei Han Xiaoyu Liu Meijuan Peng Congcong Chen Shiyao Tao Lei Huang Cong Liu Mingyang Wen Yangqian Jiang Tao Jiang Chuncheng Lu Wei Wu Di Wu Minjian Chen Yuan Lin Xuejiang Guo Ran Huo Jiayin Liu Hongxia Ma Guangfu Jin Yankai Xia Jiahao Sha Hongbing Shen Zhibin Hu 2021Cell Research2021,31,8:2
7Characterization and Expression of Ammonium Transporter in Peach (Prunus persica) and Regulation Analysis in Response to External Ammonium Supply显示文摘As the preferred nitrogen(N)source,ammonium(NH_(4)^(+))contributes to plant growth and development and fruit quality.In plants,NH 4+uptake is facilitated by a family of NH_(4)^(+) transporters(AMT).However,the molecular mechanisms and functional characteristics of the AMT genes in peach have not been mentioned yet.In this present study,excess NH_(4)^(+) stress severely hindered shoot growth and root elongation,accompanied with reduced mineral accumulation,decreased leaf chlorophyll concentration,and stunned photosynthetic performance.In addition,we identified 14 putative AMT genes in peach(PpeAMT).Expression analysis showed that PpeAMT genes were differently expressed in peach leaves,stems and roots,and were distinctly regulated by external NH_(4)^(+) supplies.Putative cis-elements involved in abiotic stress adaption,Ca^(2+) response,light and circadian rhythms regulation,and seed development were observed in the promoters of the PpeAMT family genes.Phosphorylation analysis of residues within the C-terminal of PpeAMT proteins revealed many conserved phosphorylation residues in both the AMT1 and AMT2 subfamily members,which could potentially play roles in controlling the NH 4+transport activities.This study provides gene resources to study the biological function of AMT proteins in peach,and reveals molecular basis for NH_(4)^(+) uptake and N nutrition mechanisms of fruit trees.Meiling Tang Yuhe Li Yahui Chen Lei Han Hongxia Zhang Zhizhong Song 2020Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2020,89,4:2

12Tea polyphenols increase X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 1 and apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease/redox factor-1 expression in the hippocampus of rats during cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘Recent studies have shown that tea polyphenols can cross the blood-brain barrier, inhibit apoptosis and play a neuroprotective role against cerebral ischemia. Furthermore, tea polyphenols can decrease DNA damage caused by free radicals. We hypothesized that tea polyphenols repair DNA damage and inhibit neuronal apoptosis during global cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. To test this hypothesis, we employed a rat model of global cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. We demonstrated that intraperitoneal injection of tea polyphenols immediately after reperfusion significantly reduced apoptosis in the hippocampal CA1 region; this effect started 6 hours following reperfusion. Immunohistochemical staining showed that tea polyphenols could reverse the ischemia/reperfusion-induced reduction in the expression of DNA repair proteins, X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 1 and apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease/redox factor-1 starting at 2 hours. Both effects lasted at least 72 hours. 15The differentiation of iron-reducing bacterial community and iron-reduction activity between riverine and marine sediments in the Yellow River estuary显示文摘Rivers are the primary contributors of iron and other elements to the global oceans.Iron-reducing bacteria play an important biogeochemical role in coupling the iron and carbon redox cycles.However,the extent of changes in community structures and iron-reduction activities of iron-reducing bacteria in riverine and coastal marine sediments remains unclear.This study presents information on the spatial patterns and relative abundance of iron-reducing bacteria in sediments of the Yellow River estuary and the adjacent Bohai Sea.High-throughput sequencing of bacterial 16S rRNA found that the highest relative abundances and diversities were from the estuary(Yellow River-Bohai Sea mixing zone).Pseudomonas,Thiobacillus,Geobacter,Rhodoferax,and Clostridium were the most abundant putative iron-reducing bacteria genera in the sediments of the Yellow River.Vibrio,Shewanella,and Thiobacillus were the most abundant in the sediments of the Bohai Sea.The putative iron-reducing bacterial community was positively correlated with the concentrations of total nitrogen and ammonium in coastal marine sediments,and was significantly correlated with the concentration of nitrate in river sediments.The riverine sediments,with a more diverse iron-reducing bacterial community,exhibited increased activity of Fe(III)reduction in enrichment cultures.The estuary-wide high abundance of putative iron-reducing bacteria suggests that the effect of river-sea interaction on bacterial distribution patterns is high.The results of this study will help the understanding of the biogeochemical cycling of iron in riverine and coastal marine environments.Hongxia Zhang Fanghua Liu Shiling Zheng Lei Chen Xiaoli Zhang Jun Gong 2020Marine Life Science & Technology2020,2,1:0

17In-situ formed hierarchical transition metal oxide nanoarrays with rich antisite defects and oxygen vacancies for high-rate energy storage devices显示文摘Developing transition metal oxides(TMOs)with high energy,power,and long cycle lifetime for elec-tric energy storage devices remains a critical challenge to date.Herein,we demonstrate a facile method that enables in-situ transformation of nickel cobalt oxide nanowire arrays(NiCoO NWA)into hierarchical nanowire-nanosheet arrays(ac-NiCoO NWSA)for enhanced energy storage properties.More specifically,the method leads to formation of atomically thin nanosheets(only 2.0 nm)and creates abundant an-tisite defects and oxygen vacancies.Owing to these merits,the as-prepared ac-NiCoO NWSA electrode exhibits over five-fold higher specific capacity,superior rate capability(up to 100 A/g),and excellent cy-cling stability of 10,000 cycles at 50 A/g in alkaline electrolyte compared to pristine NiCoO NWA.Density functional theory(DFT)simulations elucidate the electrochemical activity enhancement mechanism of the TMOs.Moreover,our method triggers similar structural reconstruction phenomenon on other TMOs including ZnCo-,CoMn-and ZnNiCo-oxides,proving the universality of the method.Our findings provide a general method towards simultaneously manipulating the micro-morphologies and defects of TMOs for advanced energy storage devices.Teng Wang Bo Xu You Wang Jiaqi Lei Wenjing Qin Ke Gui Chuying Ouyang Kai-Jie Chen Hongxia Wang 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,5:0
18Clinical Observation and Network Pharmacology Study on Analgesic Effect of Qianghuo Chushi Decoction on Fasciitis显示文摘[Objectives]To observe the clinical analgesic effect of Qianghuo Chushi Decoction(QHCSD)on patients with fasciitis,and explore its possible molecular mechanism based on network pharmacology.[Methods]120 enrolled patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,and were separately treated with QHCSD formula granules and Diclofenac Sodium Enteric-coated Tablets for 4 weeks.The patient’s pain visual analogue scale(VAS)was used as the curative effect indicator.The molecular action mechanism of QHCSD was predicted based on network pharmacology,the active components of QHCSD were screened using TCMSP database,potential targets were predicted by PharmMapper server,compound-target network and protein interaction network were constructed,and GO-based enrichment analysis and KEGG-based biological pathway enrichment analysis were performed.[Results]After treatment,the pain scores in each group were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01),the score of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.01),and the total effective rate of the experimental group was 83.33%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(78.33%,P<0.05).Based on 108 active components in QHCSD,a compound-target network was constructed.The PPI network contained 155 nodes and 527 interaction relationships,and key nodes included FOS,ESR1,NCOA1,RELA,EGFR,MAPK8,IL-6,etc.The GO pathway mainly involved steroid hormone and its receptor activity,RNA polymerase II transcriptional regulator binding,nuclear receptor activity,protein heterodimerization activity and other pathways.KEGG metabolic pathways included PI3 K-Akt signaling pathway,Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpesvirus(KSHV)infection and other pathways.[Conclusions]QHCSD has a significant analgesic effect on fasciitis,and the PI3 K-Akt signaling pathway may be the key pathway for its analgesic effect.Mingchen CAO Lei DONG Chuan WANG Wenjing LI Xinxin WEI Shasha ZHANG Hongxia YU Cheng CHENG Xue YANG 2022Medicinal Plant2022,13,5:0
19Cumulative live birth rates of in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection after multiple complete cycles in China显示文摘There were few studies of cumulative live birth rates(CLBRs) based on multicenter reproductive clinical data from the general Chinese population.Here we report a retrospective cohort study,including 14 311 women with17 315 cycles,in three reproductive centers to evaluate two estimated parameters of CLBRs with multiple transfer cycles of in vitro fertilization(IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI) in a Chinese population.We found that CLBRs were related to female age and endometrial thickness.By the fourth transfer cycle,the conservative and optimal estimates of CLBRs were 52.95% and 77.30% in women under 30 years of age,and 18.17% and26.51% in those 37 years of age or older,respectively.The two estimates were 44.70% and 63.15% in women with endometrial thickness more than 7 mm,and 32.05% and 46.18% in those with less than 7 mm,respectively.In addition,body mass index(BMI),duration of infertility,and infertility diagnoses may also be related to CLBRs on certain conditions.The findings from this study on CLBRs after multiple transfer cycles of IVF/ICSI treatment on different conditions in the Chinese population should be beneficial to both infertile couples and clinicians.Lei Huang Qun Lu Jiangbo Du Hong Lv Shiyao Tao Shiyao Chen Xiuzhu Li Xiumei Han Kun Zhou Bo Xu Xiaoyu Liu Hongxia Ma Yankai Xia Guangfu Jin Hongbing Shen Xiufeng Ling Zhibin Hu Jichun Tan Feiyang Diao 2020The Journal of Biomedical Research2020,34,5:0
