1High expression of ACE2 receptor of 2019-nCoV on the epithelial cells of oral mucosa显示文摘It has been reported that ACE2 is the main host cell receptor of 2019-nCoV and plays a crucial role in the entry of virus into the cell to cause the final infection. To investigate the potential route of 2019-n Cov infection on the mucosa of oral cavity, bulk RNA-seq profiles from two public databases including The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) and Functional Annotation of The Mammalian Genome Cap Analysis of Gene Expression(FANTOM5 CAGE) dataset were collected. RNA-seq profiling data of 13 organ types with para-carcinoma normal tissues from TCGA and 14 organ types with normal tissues from FANTOM5 CAGE were analyzed in order to explore and validate the expression of ACE2 on the mucosa of oral cavity. Further, single-cell transcriptomes from an independent data generated in-house were used to identify and confirm the ACE2-expressing cell composition and proportion in oral cavity. The results demonstrated that the ACE2 expressed on the mucosa of oral cavity. Interestingly, this receptor was highly enriched in epithelial cells of tongue. 2Clinical characteristics of 24 asymptomatic infections with COVID-19 screened among close contacts in Nanjing,China显示文摘Previous studies have showed clinical characteristics of patients with the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)and the evidence of person-to-person transmission.Limited data are available for asymptomatic infections.This study aims to present the clinical characteristics of 24 cases with asymptomatic infection screened from close contacts and to show the transmission potential of asymptomatic COVID-19 virus carriers.Epidemiological investigations were conducted among all close contacts of COVID-19 patients(or suspected patients)in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province,China,from Jan 28 to Feb 9,2020,both in clinic and in community.Asymptomatic carriers were laboratory-confirmed positive for the COVID-19 virus by testing the nucleic acid of the pharyngeal swab samples.Their clinical records,laboratory assessments,and chest CT scans were reviewed.As a result,none of the 24 asymptomatic cases presented any obvious symptoms while nucleic acid screening.Five cases(20.8%)developed symptoms(fever,cough,fatigue,etc.)during hospitalization.Twelve(50.0%)cases showed typical CT images of ground-glass chest and 5(20.8%)presented stripe shadowing in the lungs.The remaining 7(29.2%)cases showed normal CT image and had no symptoms during hospitalization.These 7 cases were younger(median age:14.0 years;P=0.012)than the rest.None of the 24 cases developed severe COVID-19 pneumonia or died.The median communicable period,defined as the interval from the first day of positive nucleic acid tests to the first day of continuous negative tests,was 9.5 days(up to 21 days among the 24 asymptomatic cases).Through epidemiological investigation,we observed a typical asymptomatic transmission to the cohabiting family members,which even caused severe COVID-19 pneumonia.Overall,the asymptomatic carriers identified from close contacts were prone to be mildly ill during hospitalization.However,the communicable period could be up to three weeks and the communicated patients could develop severe illness.These results highlighted the importance of close contact tracing and longitudinally surveillance via virus nucleic acid tests.Further isolation recommendation and continuous nucleic acid tests may also be recommended to the patients discharged.Zhiliang Hu Ci Song Chuanjun Xu Guangfu Jin Yaling Chen Xin Xu Hongxia Ma Wei Chen Yuan Lin Yishan Zheng Jianming Wang Zhibin Hu Yongxiang Yi Hongbing Shen 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,5:77
3Effects of dietary arginine levels on growth performance,body composition, serum biochemical indices and resistance ability against ammonia-nitrogen stress in juvenile yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco)显示文摘This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary arginine levels on growth performance, body composition, serum biochemical indices and resistance ability against ammonia-nitrogen stress in juvenile yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco). Five isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets(42%protein and 9% lipid) were formulated to contain graded levels of arginine(2.44%, 2.64%, 2.81%, 3.01% and3.23% of diet), by supplementing L-Arginine HCI. Seven hundred juvenile yellow catfish with an initial average body weight of 1.13 ± 0.02 g were randomly divided into 5 groups with 4 replicates of 35 fish each and each group was fed one of the diets. After 56 d feeding, fish were exposed to 100 mg/L of ammonia-nitrogen for 72 h. The results showed that weight gain(WG) and specific growth rate(SGR) in2.64% and 2.81% groups were significantly higher than those in 3.23% group(P < 0.05). The feed conversation ratio(FCR) in 2,64%, 2,81% and 3.01% groups was significantly decreased when compared with3,23% group. The protein efficiency ratio(PER) in 2.64% group was significantly higher than that in 2.44%and 3.23% groups(P < 0.05). The condition factor(CF) of fish was significantly higher in 2.81% group than that in 2,44% group(P < 0.05). Dietary arginine levels had no significant effect on hepatosomatic index(HSI), viscerosomatic index(VSI), and whole-body dry matter, crude protein, crude lipid, ash contents, as well as serum total protein(TP), triglyceride(TG), glucose(GLU), urea nitrogen(UN) contents and aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT) activities(P> 0.05). After the fish were challenged to ammonia-nitrogen for 72 h, their cumulative mortality rate in 2.81% group was significantly lower than that in 2.44% group(P < 0.05). The results suggested that dietary arginine level at 2.81%could optimize anti-ammonia-nitrogen stress ability of juvenile yellow catfish and a level of 3.23%arginine seemed to depress the growth performance of fish and decreased their tolerance to the ammonia-nitrogen stress under current study. 5Mechanical properties of gangue-containing aluminosilicate based cementitious materials显示文摘High performance aluminosilicate based cementitious materials were produced using calcined gangue as one of the majorraw materials. The gangue was calcined at 500°C. The main constituent was calcined gangue, fly ash and slag, while alkali-silicatesolutions were used as the diagenetic agent. The structure of gangue-containing aluminosilicate based cementitious materials wasstudied by the methods of IR, NMR and SEM. The results show that the mechanical properties are affected by the mass ratio betweenthe gangue, slag and fly ash, the kind of activator and additional salt. For 28-day curing time, the compressive strength of the samplewith a mass proportion of 2:1:1 (gangue: slag: fly ash) is 58.9 MPa, while the compressive strength of the sample containing 80wt%gangue can still be up to 52.3 MPa. The larger K+ favors the formation of large silicate oligomers with which Al(OH)4? prefers to bind.Therefore, in Na-K compounding activator solutions more oligomers exist which result in a stronger compressive strength of alumino-silicate-based cementitious materials than in the case of Na-containing activator. The reasons for this were found through IR and NMRanalysis. 6Application of next-generation sequencing technology to precision medicine in cancer: joint consensus of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology显示文摘Next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology is capable of sequencing millions or billions of DNA molecules simultaneously.Therefore, it represents a promising tool for the analysis of molecular targets for the initial diagnosis of disease, monitoring of disease progression, and identifying the mechanism of drug resistance. On behalf of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology(CSCO) and the China Actionable Genome Consortium(CAGC), the present expert group hereby proposes advisory guidelines on clinical applications of NGS technology for the analysis of cancer driver genes for precision cancer therapy. This group comprises an assembly of laboratory cancer geneticists, clinical oncologists, bioinformaticians,pathologists, and other professionals. After multiple rounds of discussions and revisions, the expert group has reached a preliminary consensus on the need of NGS in clinical diagnosis, its regulation, and compliance standards in clinical sample collection. 7PREPARATIOPREPARATION OF 1-OCTENE BY ETHYLENE TETRAMERIZATION WITH HIGH SELECTIVITY显示文摘Two novel PNP ligands have been synthesized and characterized by 1H-NMR, elemen- tal analysis, and mass spectra. In combination with Cr(Ⅲ ) and cocatalyst MAO, they generate active catalytic systems that tetramerize ethylene with both high catalytic activity and high selectivity to produce 1-octene. 8Ethylene tetramerization with a highly active and long-lifetime trinuclear diphenylphosphinoamine/Cr(III)/MAO catalyst显示文摘The synthesis and characterization of a novel trinuclear diphosphinoamine ligand 2 are reported. The ligand combined with Cr(III), activated with methylaluminoxane, lead to highly active and long-lifetime catalytic systems for the tetramerization of ethylene to form 1-octene. The effects of reaction temperature, reaction pressure, molar ratio of Al/Cr and bis(diphenylphosphino)amine/Cr on the catalytic activity and product selectivity were studied. Compared with its mononuclear analogue 1, ligand 2 showed a higher catalytic activity and longer lifetime for ethylene tetramerization in the presence of methylaluminoxane as cocatalyst. 9The deep-lake deposit in the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation in Ordos Basin, China and its significance for oil-gas accumulation显示文摘The deep-lake facies of the Yanchang Formation represents a large outflowing lake basin in the Ordos area. Its deposition can be divided into four stages: lake genetic and expanding stage, peak stage, inversion stage and dying stage. All the stages are obviously consistent with the evolution of depositional environment and the paleoclimate in the region. The study indicates that the lake basin has evolution fluctuations from highstand to lowstand for four times in its evolution history, and the deposition center of the lake has not obviously moved, staying along the Huachi-Yijun belt. The deep lake sedimentary system mainly consists of deep water deltas and turbidite fans during the entire evolution course of the lake basin in the Late Triassic. The former mainly developed on the slope of steep shore of the delta in the early period of the deep-water expansion and gradually experienced a big shift from deep-water deltas to shallow-water platform delta. And the latter appeared almost in all the above stages and had two types of turbidite fans, slope-moving turbidite fans and slump turbidite fans. The slope-moving turbidite fans have relatively complete facies belts overlapping one another vertically and consist of the slope channel of inter fans, the turbidite channel, inter turbidite channel and turbidite channel front of middle fans and outer fans (or lakebottom plain). However, the slide-moving turbidity fans are formed in the deep lake with their microfacies difficult to be distinguished, and only the center microfacies and edge microfacies can be determined. The two types of the turbidity fans are similarly distributing in the near-root-slope and far-root-slope regions. 13Industrial Spatial Agglomeration Using Distance-based Approach in Beijing, China显示文摘To study the difference of industrial location among different industries, this article is to test the spatial agglomeration across industries and firm sizes at the city level. Our research bases on a unique plant-level data set of Beijing and employs a distance-based approach, which considers space as continuous. Unlike previous studies, we set two sets of references for service and manufacturing industries respectively to adapt to the investigation in the intra-urban area. Comparing among eight types of industries and different firm sizes, we find that: 1) producer service, high-tech industries and labor-intensive manufacturing industries are more likely to cluster, whereas personal service and capital-intensive industries tend to be randomly dispersed in Beijing; 2) the spillover of the co-location of firms is more important to knowledge-intensive industries and has more significant impact on their allocation than business-oriented services in the intra-urban area; 3) the spatial agglomeration of service industries are driven by larger establishments, whereas manufacturing industries are mixed.LI Jiaming ZHANG Wenzhong YU Jianhui CHEN Hongxia 2015Chinese Geographical Science2015,25,6:7
14Empirical Study on Effect of Industrial Structure Change on Regional Economic Growth of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Region显示文摘Based on the data of gross domestic product(GDP),industrial added value and the proportion of industrial employees from 2000 to 2008,this paper studies the effect of industrial structure change on the regional economic growth of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Region in China using the shift-share method.The results show that:1) In the 21st century,the industrial output of three industries,namely,primary,secondary,and tertiary,and the GDP grew rapidly in the study period.The tertiary industry grew the fastest;it had the largest contribution to the GDP and mean-while had become the most competitive industry in the metropolitan region.2) The development of cities within the region was not balanced.Firstly,compared with Tianjin,Beijing,as one of the two core cities,was more rational in the industrial structure.Secondly,the surrounding eight cities,which are Shijiazhuang,Qinhuangdao,Tangshan,Langfang,Baoding,Cangzhou,Zhangjiakou,and Chengde,were all uncompetitive than the two core cities.3) There was a great industrial gradient in the region(especially between the two core cities and the cities of Tangshan,Baoding,Zhangjia-kou,Chengde,Cangzhou,and Langfang).As a result,it is foreseeable that the industry transfer in the Bei-jing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Region will be one of the trends in regional development,and the industry transfer is inevitably to promote the regional integration.CHEN Hongxia LI Guoping 2011Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,6:7

16Prognostic assessment of apoptotic gene polymorphisms in non-small cell lung cancer in Chinese显示文摘Apoptosis plays a key role in inhibiting tumor growth, progression and resistance to anti-tumor therapy. We hypothesized that genetic variants in apoptotic genes may affect the prognosis of lung cancer. To test this hypothesis, we selected 38 potentially functional single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) from 12 genes (BAX, BCL2, BID, CASP3, CASP6, CASP7, CASP8, CASP9, CASP10, FAS, FASLG and MCL1) involved in apoptosis to assess their prognostic significance in lung cancer in a Chinese case cohort with 568 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Thirty-five SNPs passing quality control underwent association analyses, 11 of which were shown to be significantly associated with NSCLC survival (P<0.05). After Cox stepwise regression analyses, 3 SNPs were independently associated with the outcome of NSCLC (BID rs8190315: P=0.003; CASP9 rs4645981: P=0.007 and FAS rs1800682: P=0.016). A favorable survival of NSCLC was significantly associated with the genotypes of BID rs8190315 AG/GG (adjusted HR=0.65, 95% CI: 0.49-0.88), CASP9 rs4645981 AA (HR=0.22, 95% CI: 0.07-0.69) and FAS rs1800682 GG (adjusted HR=0.67, 95% CI: 0.46-0.97). Time-dependent receptor operation curve (ROC) analysis revealed that the area under curve (AUC) at year 5 was significantly increased from 0.762 to 0.819 after adding the risk score of these 3 SNPs to the clinical risk score. The remaining 32 SNPs were not significantly associated with NSCLC prognosis after adjustment for these 3 SNPs. 17Corrosion behavior of Al_(0.4)CoCu_(0.6)NiSi_(0.2)Ti_(0.25) high-entropy alloy coating via 3D printing laser cladding in a sulphur environment显示文摘High-entropy alloys(HEAs) are of great interest in materials science and engineering communities owing to their unique phase structure.HEAs are constructed with five or more principal alloying elements in equimolar or near-equimolar ratios.Therefore,they can derive their performance from multiple principal elements ratherthan a single element.In this work,three-dimensional printing laser cladding was applied to produce an Al_(0.4)CoCu_(0.6)NiSi_(0.2)Ti_(0.25) HEA coating.The experimental results confirmed that the laser cladding could be used to produce a thin coating of 120 μm in thickness.In the high-temperature laser cladding process,some Fe elements diffused from the substrate to the coating,forming a combination of face-centred cubic and body-centred cubic phase structures.The HEA coating metallurgically bonded well with the substrate.Owing to the increased dislocation density and number of grain boundaries,the HEA coating was harder and had a stronger hydrophobicity than X70 steel.The electrochemistry results showed that the HEA coating had better corrosion resistance than X70 steel.Aluminium oxides formed on the surface of the HEA coating had a certain protective effect.However,because of the laser cladding,the HEA coating generated cracks.In future work,the laser cladding technology will be improved and heat treatment will be implemented to prevent formation of cracks.Hongxia Wan Dongdong Song Xiaolei Shi Yong Cai Tingting Li Changfeng Chen 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,1:6
18Progress of Chinese research in physical oceanography of the Southern Ocean显示文摘Oceanographic surveying has been one of the key missions of the Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition since 1984. Using the field data obtained in these surveys and the results from remote sensing and numerical models, Chinese physical oceanographers have investigated the water masses, fronts and circulation patterns in the Southern Ocean. The results of nearly 30 years of research are summarized in this paper. Most oceanographic observations by Chinese researchers have been conducted in Prydz Bay and the adjacent seas. CTD (Conductivity Temperature and Depth) data, collected during the past 20 years, have been applied to study several features of the water masses in this region: The spatial variation of warm summer surface water, the northward extension of shelf water, the flow of ice shelf water from the cavity beneath the Amery Ice Shelf, the upwelling of the Circumpolar Deep Water, and the formation of the Antarctic Bottom Water. The circulation and its dynamic factors have been analyzed with dynamic heights calculated from CTD data as well as by numerical models. The structure and strength of the fronts in the southeast Indian Ocean and the Drake Passage were investigated with underway XBT/XCTD (Expendable Bathythermograph/Expendable CTD) and ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) data. Their interannual variations have been determined and the factors of influence, especially the atmospheric forcing and mesoscale oceanic processes, were studied using remote sensing data. The dynamic mechanism of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC) was analyzed by theoretical models. The transport and pattern of the ACC have been well reproduced by coupled sea ice-ocean models. Additional details of ACC variability were identified based on satellite altimeter data. The response of the ACC to climate change was studied using reanalysis data. 19Patient-derived non-small cell lung cancer xenograft mirrors complex tumor heterogeneity显示文摘Objective:Patient-derived xenograft(PDX)models have shown great promise in preclinical and translational applications,but their consistency with primary tumors in phenotypic,genetic,and pharmacodynamic heterogeneity has not been well-studied.This study aimed to establish a PDX repository for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and to further elucidate whether it could preserve the heterogeneity within and between tumors in patients.Methods:A total of 75 surgically resected NSCLC specimens were implanted into immunodeficient NOD/SCID mice.Based on the successful establishment of the NSCLC PDX model,we compared the expressions of vimentin,Ki67,EGFR,and PD-L1 proteins between cancer tissues and PDX models using hematoxylin and eosin staining and immunohistochemical staining.In addition,we detected whole gene expression profiling between primary tumors and PDX generations.We also performed whole exome sequencing(WES)analysis in 17 first generation xenografts to further assess whether PDXs retained the patient heterogeneities.Finally,paclitaxel,cisplatin,doxorubicin,atezolizumab,afatininb,and AZD4547 were used to evaluate the responses of PDX models to the standard-of-care agents.Results:A large collection of serially transplantable PDX models for NSCLC were successfully developed.The histology and pathological immunohistochemistry of PDX xenografts were consistent with the patients’tumor samples.WES and RNA-seq further confirmed that PDX accurately replicated the molecular heterogeneities of primary tumors.Similar to clinical patients,PDX models responded differentially to the standard-of-care treatment,including chemo-,targeted-and immuno-therapeutics.Conclusions:Our established PDX models of NSCLC faithfully reproduced the molecular,histopathological,and therapeutic characteristics,as well as the corresponding tumor heterogeneities,which provides a clinically relevant platform for drug screening,biomarker discovery,and translational research.Xuanming Chen Cheng Shen Zhe Wei Rui Zhang Yongsheng Wang Lili Jiang Ke Chen Shuang Qiu Yuanli Zhang Ting Zhang Bin Chen Yanjun Xu Qiyi Feng Jinxing Huang Zhihui Zhong Hongxia Li Guowei Che Kai Xiao 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:5
20Use of catalytic wet air oxidation (CWAO) for pretreatment of high-salinity high-organic wastewater显示文摘Catalytic wet air oxidation(CWAO)coupled desalination technology provides a possibility for the effective and economic degradation of high salinity and high organic wastewater.Chloride widely occurs in natural and wastewaters,and its high content jeopardizes the efficacy of Advanced oxidation process(AOPs).Thus,a novel chlorine ion resistant catalyst Bsite Ru doped LaFe_(1-x)Ru_(x)O_(3-)δin CWAO treatment of chlorine ion wastewater was examined.Especially,LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-δ)was 45.5% better than that of the 6%RuO_(2)@TiO_(2)(commercial carrier)on total organic carbon(TOC)removal.Also,doped catalysts LaFe_(1-x)Ru_(x)O_(3-)δshowed better activity than supported catalysts RuO_(2)@LaFeO_(3) and RuO_(2)@TiO_(2) with the same Ru content.Moreover,LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-)δhas novel chlorine ion resistance no matter the concentration of Cl^(−) and no Ru dissolves after the reaction.X-ray diffraction(XRD)refinement,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),transmission electron microscope(TEM),and X-ray absorption fine structure(XAFS)measurements verified the structure of LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-)δ.Kinetic data and density functional theory(DFT)proved that Fe is the site of acetic acid oxidation and adsorption of chloride ions.The existence of Fe in LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-)δcould adsorb chlorine ion(catalytic activity inhibitor),which can protect the Ru site and other active oxygen species to exert catalytic activity.This work is essential for the development of chloride-resistant catalyst in CWAO.Wenjing Sun Hongxia Lv Lei Ma Xiangdong Tan Chengyu Jin Huiling Wu Lili Chen Mengyang Liu Huangzhao Wei Chenglin Sun 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,10:4
