1Status and development of high-power laser facilities at the NLHPLP显示文摘In this paper, we review the status of the multifunctional experimental platform at the National Laboratory of High Power Laser and Physics(NLHPLP). The platform, including the SG-II laser facility, SG-II 9th beam, SG-II upgrade(SG-II UP) facility, and SG-II 5 PW facility, is operational and available for interested scientists studying inertial confinement fusion(ICF) and a broad range of high-energy-density physics. These facilities can provide important experimental capabilities by combining different pulse widths of nanosecond, picosecond, and femtosecond scales. In addition, the SG-II UP facility, consisting of a single petawatt system and an eight-beam nanosecond system, is introduced including several laser technologies that have been developed to ensure the performance of the facility. 3Exceptional mechanical properties of AZ31 alloy wire by combination of cold drawing and EPT显示文摘A 0.66 mm-diameter AZ31 alloy wire with ultimate tensile strength of 400 MPa and elongation of 28.5%was successfully prepared via the combination of cold-drawing and electropulsing treatment processing(EPT).Microstructure observation showed that the grain size of EPTed samples was refined to about 1μm and the basal texture strength with maxima texture index was weakened to 7.18.EPT can significantly accelerate recrystallization by enhancing the mobility of dislocation and atomic diffusion due to the coupling of the thermal and athermal effects.Finally,uniform ultrafine-grained structure was obtained in the EPTed samples by static recrystallization completed in a very short time(30 s)at relatively low temperature(433 K).Zhaohui Shan Jing Bai Jianfeng Fan Hongfei Wu Hua Zhang Qiang Zhang Yucheng Wu Weiguo Li Hongbiao Dong Bingshe Xu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,16:3
4Effect of electropulsing treatment on static recrystallization behavior of cold-rolled magnesium alloy ZK60 with different reductions显示文摘Effect of electropulsing treatment(EPT) on recrystallization behavior of cold-rolled Mg alloy ZK60 strips was investigated. It was found that EPT significantly improved nucleation rate and migration ability of grain boundaries, leading to accelerated recrystallization of the deformed metals at relatively low temperature. After the recrystallization induced by EPT, the average grain size of 20% rolling reduction samples decreased from 113 um to around 10 um, meanwhile the typical basal-type texture of the coldrolled sample was weakened. EPT was normally accompanied with a thermal and an athermal effects. The athermal effect played a dominated role in increasing nucleation rate, while the thermal effect promoted grain growth. 6Effects of daidzein on antioxidant capacity in weaned pigs and IPEC-J2cells显示文摘Our previous study found that soybean isoflavones in soybean meal play an important role in improving growth performance and antioxidant capacity in pigs.However,it is still unknown whether long-term supplementation with daidzein,an active molecule deglycosylated from daidzin,in a corn-soybean meal diet can enhance growth performance in pigs.Thus,in the present study,an animal trial was carried out to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with daidzein on the growth performance and antioxidant capacity of pigs.A total of 80 weaned piglets(40 barrows and 40 females)were assigned to 4treatments with 5 pens per treatment and 4 piglets per pen and fed a diet supplemented with 0,25,50 and 100 mg/kg daidzein for a 72-day trial.In addition,porcine intestinal epithelial cells(IPEC-J2)were used as an in vitro model to explore the underlying antioxidant mechanisms of daidzein.IPEC-J2 cells were treated with 0.6 mM hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))in the presence or absence of 40μM daidzein.The results showed that adding 50 mg/kg of daidzein to the diet significantly improved body weight on day72,average daily gain(ADG)during days 0 to 72 and plasma superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity on day42,and decreased malondialdehyde(MDA)content on day 14(P<0.05).Treatment with 0.6 m M H_(2)O_(2)for 1 h significantly decreased cell viability and catalase(CAT)activity and increased intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels and MDA content(P<0.05),while pretreatment with 40μM daidzein prevented the decrease in cell viability and CAT activity and the increase in intracellular ROS levels and MDA content caused by H_(2)O_(2)(P<0.05).In addition,H_(2)O_(2)stimulation significantly suppressed the expression of nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2(Nrf2),CAT,occludin and zonula occludens-1(ZO-1),while pretreatment with daidzein preserved the expression of Nrf2,CAT and occludin in H_(2)O_(2)-stimulated IPEC-J2 cells(P<0.05).In conclusion,our results suggested that long-term dietary supplementation with 50 mg/kg daidzein improved growth performance in pigs and was beneficial to the antioxidant capacity of pigs.Daidzein exerted protective effects against H_(2)O_(2)-induced oxidative stress in IPEC-J2 cells and the underlying mechanism may be related to the activation of the Nrf2 signaling pathway.Yanpin Li Xianren Jiang Long Cai Yanli Zhang Hongbiao Ding Jingdong Yin Xilong Li 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,4:1

9Metal-coordinated porous polydopamine nanospheres derived Fe_(3)N-FeCo encapsulated N-doped carbon as a highly efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘The exploration of high-efficiency,long-durability,and cost-effectiveness transition metal doped carbon materials to replace the commercial Pt/C in oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is greatly desirable for promoting the advancement of sustainable energy devices.Herein,the Fe_(3)N and FeCo alloy decorated N-doped carbon hybrid material(denoted Fe_(3)N-FeCo@NC)is prepared and applied as the ORR catalyst,which is derived from the two-step pyrolysis of an intriguing complex consisted of metal-coordinated porous polydopamine(PDA)nanospheres(i.e.,Fe-PDA@Co)and melamine.The resulting Fe_(3)N-FeCo@NC delivers outstanding ORR activity with an onset potential(E_(on))of 1.05 V,a half-wave potential(E_(1/2))of 0.89 V,as well as excellent long-term stability and methanol resistance over Pt/C.Interestingly,the home-made Zn-air battery with Fe_(3)N-FeCo@NC as the air-cathode demonstrates much higher open-circuit voltage(1.50 vs.1.48 V),power density(141 vs.113 mW·cm^(−2))and specific capacity(806.6 vs.660.6 mAh·g^(−1)_(Zn))than those of Pt/C counterpart.Such a remarkable ORR activity of Fe_(3)N-FeCo@NC may stem from the synergistic effect of Fe_(3)N and FeCo active species,the large surface area,the hierarchical porous structure and the exceptional sphere/sheet hybridized architecture.Fanjuan Guo Mingyue Zhang Shicheng Yi Xuxin Li Rong Xin Mei Yang Bei Liu Hongbiao Chen Huaming Li Yijiang Liu 2022Nano Research Energy2022,1,3:1

11Evaluating data-driven algorithms for predicting mechanical properties with small datasets:A case study on gear steel hardenability显示文摘Data-driven algorithms for predicting mechanical properties with small datasets are evaluated in a case study on gear steel hardenability.The limitations of current data-driven algorithms and empirical models are identified.Challenges in analysing small datasets are discussed,and solution is proposed to handle small datasets with multiple variables.Gaussian methods in combination with novel predictive algorithms are utilized to overcome the challenges in analysing gear steel hardenability data and to gain insight into alloying elements interaction and structure homogeneity.The gained fundamental knowledge integrated with machine learning is shown to be superior to the empirical equations in predicting hardenability.Metallurgical-property relationships between chemistry,sample size,and hardness are predicted via two optimized machine learning algorithms:neural networks(NNs)and extreme gradient boosting(XGboost).A comparison is drawn between all algorithms,evaluating their performance based on small data sets.The results reveal that XGboost has the highest potential for predicting hardenability using small datasets with class imbalance and large inhomogeneity issues.Bogdan Nenchev Qing Tao Zihui Dong Chinnapat Panwisawas Haiyang Li Biao Tao Hongbiao Dong 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,4:1
12A Study on the Unsteady Flow Characteristics and Energy Conversion in the Volute of a Pump-as-Turbine Device显示文摘To study the unsteady flow and related energy conversion process in the volute of a pump-as-turbine(PAT)device,six different working conditions have been considered.Through numerical calculation,the spatio-temporal variation of static pressure,dynamic pressure,total pressure and turbulent energy dissipation have been determined in each section of the volute.It is concluded that the reduction of the total power of two adjacent sections of the PAT volute is equal to the sum of the power lost by the fluid while moving from one section to the other and the power output from the two adjacent sections.For a fixed flow rate,the percentage of static pressure energy at the outlet of the PAT is roughly similar to that of the corresponding volute section,and both show a gradually increasing trend.The turbulent dissipation rate on each section of the PAT volute displays a similar a spatio-temporal behavior for different flow rates.Senchun Miao Hongbiao Zhang Wanglong Tian Yinqiang Li 2021Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2021,17,6:1

14The research on the decomposition and softening-meltingproperties of iron ore by TG-DSC显示文摘13 kinds of iron ores ( 6 from Australia and 7 from Brazil) were studied on their properties concerning CW ( Combined Water ) decomposition,Fe 2 O 3 decomposition and softening-melting in air atmosphere through the characterization method of TG-DSC ( Thermogravimetry-Differential Scanning Caloremetry) . The experimental results of the Australian ores and Brazilian ores differ in terms of the initial temperature,temperature range and endothermic amount of CW decomposition,and besides,the content of CW. It is estimated that for every percent increase of CW content in sintering raw material,the extra thermal amount absorbed in the process is about 1. 83 × 10 4 kJ,which equals to the thermal capacity of 0. 625 kg of standard coal burning up completely. As to the decomposition of Fe 2 O 3 ,the initial temperatures, terminal temperatures and temperature ranges of the Australian and Brazilian ores are quite close. However,the endothermic amount of Fe 2 O 3 decomposition of the two turns out rather different: the endothermic capacity of Fe 2 O 3 decomposition of the Australian ores is greater than that of the Brazilian ores. Furthermore,the liquid amount generated in the softening-melting process is closely related to the SiO 2 content in iron ore. 16Correlation Between ASI and Yield and Drought Resistance of Maize Inbred显示文摘Maize is the main grain crop and important forage crop in China. The correlation between ASI and yield of maize inbred lines and whether ASI and the ASI extension time(Dct) of maize inbred lines could be used as a direct indicator of drought resistance of maize inbred lines were explored. The results showed that the goodness of fit of ASI and Dct with DI were 0.478 and 0.829, respectively, and the ASI had an extremely significant negative correlation with yield per plant. 19Adaptability Analysis of Fluctuating Traffic for IP Switching and Optical Switching显示文摘The technological development of smart devices and Internet of Things(IoT)has brought ever-larger bandwidth and fluctuating traffic to existing networks.The analy⁃sis of network capital expenditure(CAPEX)is extremely important and plays a fundamen⁃tal role in further network optimizing.In this paper,an adaptability analysis is raised for IP switching and optical transport network(OTN)switching in CAPEX when the service bandwidth is fluctuating violently.This paper establishes a multi-layer network architec⁃ture through Clos network model and discusses impacts of maximum allowable blocking rate and service bandwidth standard deviation on CAPEX of IP network and OTN network to find CAPEX demarcation point in different situations.As simulation results show,when the bandwidth deviation mean rate is 0.3 and the maximum allowable blocking rate is 0.01,the hardware cost of OTN switching will exceed IP switching as the average band⁃width is greater than 6100 Mbit/s.When the service bandwidth fluctuation is severe,the hardware cost of OTN switching will increase and exceed IP switching as the single port rate is allowed in optical switching.The increasing of maximum allowable blocking rate can decrease hardware cost of OTN switching.Finally,it is found that Flex Ethernet(FlexE)can be used to decrease CAPEX of OTN switching greatly at this time.LIAN Meng GU Rentao JI Yuefeng WANG Dajiang LI Hongbiao 2021ZTE Communications2021,19,1:0
20Slicing capacity-centered mode selection and resource optimization for network-assisted full-duplex cell-free distributed massive MIMO systems显示文摘Network-assisted full-duplex(NAFD) cell-free distributed massive multiple-input multipleoutput(MIMO) systems enable uplink(UL) and downlink(DL) communications within the same timefrequency resources,which potentially reduce latency by avoiding the overhead of switching UL/DL modes.However,how to choose UL/DL modes remains an important factor affecting system performance.With the dramatic increase in the number of users and access points(APs),massive access brings significant overhead in the mode selection.Additionally,the different quality of service(QoS) among users also makes the effective utilization of resources difficult.As one of the most promising technologies in sixth-generation(6G),network slicing enables the adaptive configuration of limited UL/DL resources through the resource isolation assisted NAFD technique.Therefore,we propose a slicing capacity-centered scheme.Under this scheme,APs are motivated by slicing requirements and associated slices to form different subsystems.Collaborative mode selection and resource allocation are performed within each subsystem to reduce overhead and improve resource utilization.To implement this scheme efficiently,a double-layer deep reinforcement learning(DRL)mechanism is used to realize the joint optimization of mode selection and resource allocation.Simulation results show that the slicing capacity-centered scheme can effectively improve resource utilization and reduce overhead.Jie WANG Jiamin LI Pengcheng ZHU Dongming WANG Hongbiao ZHANG Yue HAO Bin SHENG 2024Science China(Information Sciences)2024,67,1:0
