2Effect of manganese on the catalytic performance of an iron-manganese bimetallic catalyst for light olefin synthesis显示文摘A systematic study was carried out to investigate the promotion effect of manganese on the performance of a coprecipitated iron-manganese bimetallic catalyst for the light olefins synthesis from syngas. The catalyst samples were characterized by N2 physisorption, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Mo¨ssbauer spectroscopy, H2-differential thermogravimetric analysis (H2-DTG), CO temperature-programmed reduction (CO-TPR) and CO2 temperature-programmed desorption (CO2-TPD). The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) performance of the catalyst was measured at 1.5 MPa, 250 C and syngas with H2 /CO ratio of 2.0. The characterization results indicated that the addition of manganese decreases the catalyst crystallite size, and improves the catalyst BET surface area and pore volume. The presence of manganese suppresses the catalyst reduction and carburization in H2 , CO and syngas, respectively. The addition of manganese improves the catalytic activity of water-gas shift reaction and suppresses the oxidation of iron carbides in the FTS reaction. The incorporation of manganese improves the catalyst surface basicity and results in a significant improvement in the selectivities to light olefins and heavy hydrocarbons (C5+ ), and furthermore an inhibition of methane formation in FTS. The pure iron catalyst (Mn-00) has the highest initial FTS catalytic activity (65%) and the lowest selectivity (17.35 wt%) to light olefins (C=2-C=4 ). 5Substrate matters:The influences of substrate layers on the performances of thin-film composite reverse osmosis membranes显示文摘Thin-film composite(TFC) reverse osmosis(RO) membranes are playing the dominating role in desalination.Tremendous efforts have been put in the studies on the polyamide selective layers. However, the effect of the substrate layers is far less concerned. In this review, we summarize the works that consider the impacts of the substrates, including pore sizes, surface hydrophilicity, on the processes of interfacial polymerization and consequently on the morphologies of the active layers and on final RO performances of the composite membranes. All the works indicate that the pore sizes and surface hydrophilicity of the substrate evidently influence the RO performances of the composite membranes. Unfortunately, we find that the observations and understandings on the substrate effect are frequently varied from case to case because of the lack of substrates with uniform pores and surface chemistries. We suggest using track-etched membranes or anodized alumina membranes having relatively uniform pores and functionalizable pore walls as model substrates to elucidate the substrate effect.Moreover, we argue that homoporous membranes derived from block copolymers have the potential to be used as substrates for the large-scale production of high-performances TFC RO membranes.Jie Li,Mingjie Wei YongWang 2017Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,11:5

7ILF2 cooperates with E2F1 to maintain mitochondrial homeostasis and promote small cell lung cancer progression显示文摘Objective:Mitochondria play multifunctional roles in carcinogenesis.Deciphering uncertainties of molecular interactions within mitochondria will promote further understanding of cancer.Interleukin enhancer binding factor 2(ILF2)is upregulated in several malignancies,however,much remains unknown regarding ILF2 in small cell lung cancer(SCLC).In the current study,we explored ILF2's role in SCLC and demonstrated its importance in mitochondria quality control.Methods:Colony formation,cell proliferation,cell viability and xenograft studies were performed to examine ILF2's role on SCLC progression.Glucose uptake,lactate production,cellular oxygen consumption rate and extracellular acidification rate were measured to examine the effect of ILF2 on glucose metabolism.RNA-sequencing was utilized to explore genes regulated by ILF2.E2 F1 transcriptional activity was determined by dual luciferase reporter assay.Mitochondria quantification and mitochondrial membrane potential assays were performed to examine mitochondrial quality.Gene expression was determined by RT-qPCR,Western blot and IHC assay.Results:ILF2 promotes SCLC tumor growth in vitro and in vivo.ILF2 elevates oxidative phosphorylation expression and declines glucose intake and lactate production.Genome-wide analysis of ILF2 targets identified a cohort of genes regulated by E2 F1.In consistent with this,we found ILF2 interacts with E2 F1 in SCLC cells.Further studies demonstrated that suppression of E2 F1 expression could reverse ILF2-induced tumor growth and enhanced mitochondria function.Significantly,expression of ILF2 is progressively increased during SCLC progression and high ILF2 expression is correlated with higher histologic grades,which indicates ILF2's oncogenic role in SCLC.Conclusions:Our results demonstrate that ILF2 interacts with E2 F1 to maintain mitochondria quality and confers SCLC cells growth advantage in tumorigenesis.Meng Zhao Yahui Liu Jiao Chang Jin Qi Ran Liu Yongwang Hou Yanhui Wang Xinwei Zhang Lu Qiao Li Ren 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,4:3

10Activation pressure studies with an iron-based catalyst for slurry Fischer-Tropsch synthesis显示文摘Fischer-Tropsch synthesis(FTS) was carried out with an industrial iron-based catalyst(100Fe/5Cu/6K/16SiO 2,by weight) under the baseline conditions in a stirred tank slurry reactor(STSR) . The effects of activation pressure on the catalyst activity and selectivity were investigated. It was found that iron phase compositions,textural properties,and FTS performances of the catalysts were strongly dependent on activation pressure. The high activation pressure retards the carburization. M ssbauer effect spectroscopy(MES) results indicated that the contents of the iron carbides clearly decrease with the increase of activation pressure,especially for the activation pressure increasing from 1.0 MPa to 1.5 MPa,and the reverse trend is observed for superparamagnetic Fe 3+(spm) . The higher content of Fe 3+(spm) results in the higher amount of CO 2 in tail gas when the catalyst is reduced at higher pressure. The catalyst activity decreases with the increase of activation pressure. The high quantity of iron carbides is necessary to obtain high FTS activity. However,the activity of the catalyst activated in syngas can not be predicted solely from the fraction of the carbides.
