1Review on the recent progress of laser frontiers in China显示文摘The discussion on laser science and technology during the 'Laser Frontier' forum on 20 to 21 October 2012 in Beijing provided a global overview of laser development status and trends. Several frontiers in the application and industrial development of laser science and technology in China are reviewed. 2Doping bioactive elements into a collagen scaffold based on synchronous self-assembly/mineralization for bone tissue engineering显示文摘Pure collagen is biocompatible but lacks inherent osteoinductive,osteoimmunomodulatory and antibacterial activities.To obtain collagen with these characteristics,we developed a novel methodology of doping bioactive elements into collagen through the synchronous self-assembly/mineralization(SSM)of collagen.In the SSM model,amorphous mineral nanoparticles(AMN)(amorphous SrCO3,amorphous Ag3PO4,etc.)stabilized by the polyampholyte,carboxymethyl chitosan(CMC),and collagen molecules were the primary components under acidic conditions.As the pH gradually increased,intrafibrillar mineralization occurred via the self-adaptive interaction between the AMNs and the collagen microfibrils,which were self-assembling;the AMNs wrapped around the microfibrils became situated in the gap zones of collagen and finally transformed into crystals.Srdoped collagen scaffolds(Sr-CS)promoted in vitro cell proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells(rBMSCs)and synergistically improved osteogenesis of rBMSCs by altering the macrophage response.Ag-doped collagen scaffolds(Ag-CS)exhibited in vitro antibacterial effects on S.aureus,as well as cell/tissue compatibility.Moreover,Sr-CS implanted into the calvarial defect of a rat resulted in improved bone regeneration.Therefore,the SSM model is a de novo synthetic strategy for doping bioactive elements into collagen,and can be used to fabricate multifunctional collagen scaffolds to meet the clinical challenges of encouraging osteogenesis,boosting the immune response and fighting severe infection in bone defects.Huanhuan Liu Mingli Lin Xue Liu Ye Zhang Yuyu Luo Yanyun Pang Haitao Chen Dongwang Zhu Xue Zhong Shiqing Ma Yanhong Zhao Qiang Yang Xu Zhang 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,4:6

15Renewal of embryonic and neonatal-derived cardiac-resident macrophages in response to environmental cues abrogated their potential to promote cardiomyocyte proliferation via Jagged-1-Notch1显示文摘Cardiac-resident macrophages(CRMs)play important roles in homeostasis,cardiac function,and remodeling.Although CRMs play critical roles in cardiac regeneration of neonatal mice,their roles are yet to be fully elucidated.Therefore,this study aimed to investigate the dynamic changes of CRMs during cardiac ontogeny and analyze the phenotypic and functional properties of CRMs in the promotion of cardiac regeneration.During mouse cardiac ontogeny,four CRM subsets exist successively:CX3CR1+CCR2-Ly6C-MHCII-(MP1),CX3CR1lowCCR2lowLy6C-MHCII-(MP2),CX3CR1-CCR2+Ly6C+MHCII-(MP3),and CX3CR1+CCR2-Ly6C-MHCII+(MP4).MP1 cluster has different derivations(yolk sac,fetal liver,and bone marrow)and multiple functions population.Embryonic and neonatal-derived-MP1 directly promoted cardiomyocyte proliferation through Jagged-1-Notch1 axis and significantly ameliorated cardiac injury following myocardial infarction.MP2/3 subsets could survive throughout adulthood.MP4,the main population in adult mouse hearts,contributed to inflammation.During ontogeny,MP1 can convert into MP4 triggered by changes in the cellular redox state.These findings delineate the evolutionary dynamics of CRMs under physiological conditions and found direct evidence that embryonic and neonatal-derived CRMs regulate cardiomyocyte proliferation.Our findings also shed light on cardiac repair following injury.Rong Chen Shiqing Zhang Fang Liu Lin Xia Chong Wang Siamak Sandoghchian Shotorbani Huaxi Xu Subrata Chakrabarti Tianqing Peng Zhaoliang Su 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,1:1

19Improved multiferroic in EuTiO_(3) films by interphase strain engineering显示文摘Interphase strain engineering provides a unique methodology to significantly modify the lattice structure across a single film,enabling the emergence and manipulation of novel functionalities that are inaccessible in the context of traditional strain engineering methods.In this work,by using the interphase strain,we achieve a ferromagnetic state with enhanced Curie temperature and a room-temperature polar state in EuO secondary phase-tunned EuTiO_(3) thin films.A combination of atomic-scale electron microscopy and synchrotron X-ray spectroscopy unravels the underlying mechanisms of the ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties enhancement.Wherein,the EuO secondary phase is found to be able to dramatically distort the TiO_6 octahedra,which favors the non-centrosymmetric polar state,weakens antiferromagnetic Eu-Ti-Eu interactions,and enhances ferromagnetic Eu-O-Eu interactions.Our work demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of interphase strain engineering in simultaneously promoting ferroelectric and ferromagnetic performance,which would provide new thinking on the property regulation of numerous strongly correlated functional materials.Yiyan Fan Shiqing Q.Deng Tianyu Li Qinghua Zhang Shuai Xu Hao Li Chuanrui Huo jiaou Wang Lin Gu Kuijuan Jin Oswaldo Dieguez Er-jia Guo Jun Chen 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,7:0
20Boosting Cu(In,Ga)Se_(2)Thin Film Growth in Low-Temperature Rapid-Deposition Processes:An Improved Design for the Single-Heating Knudsen Effusion Cell显示文摘The Knudsen effusion cell is often used to grow high-quality Cu(In,Ga)Se_(2)(CIGS)thin film in coevaporation processes.However,the traditional single-heating Knudsen effusion cell cannot deliver complete metal selenides during the whole deposition process,particularly for a low-temperature deposition process,which is probably due to the condensation and droplet ejection at the nozzle of the crucible.In this study,thermodynamics analysis is conducted to decipher the reason for this phenomenon.Furthermore,a new single-heating Knudsen effusion is proposed to solve this difficult problem,which leads to an improvement in the quality of CIGS film and a relative increase in conversion efficiency of 29%at a growth rate of about 230 nmmin1,compared with the traditional efficiency in a lowtemperature rapid-deposition process.Yunxiang Zhang Shuping Lin Shiqing Cheng Zhichao He Zhaojing Hu Zhiqiang Zhou Wei Liu Yun Sun 2021Engineering2021,7,4:0
