| 1 | Multiple sulfur and oxygen isotope compositions in Beijing aerosol显示文摘Multiple sulfur isotopes(32S, 33 S, 34 S, 36S) and oxygen isotopes(16O, 18O) in Beijing aerosols were measured with MAT-253 isotope mass spectrometer. The δ34S values of Beijing aerosol samples range from 1.68‰ to 12.57‰ with an average value of 5.86‰, indicating that the major sulfur source is from direct emission during coal combustion. The δ18O values vary from 5.29‰ to 9.02‰ with an average value of 5.17‰, revealing that the sulfate in Beijing aerosols is mainly composed of the secondary sulfate. The main heterogeneous oxidation of SO2 in atmosphere is related to H2O2 in July and August, whereas H2O2 oxidation and Fe3+ catalytic oxidation with SO2 exist simultaneously in September and October. Remarkable sulfur isotope mass-independent fractionation effect is found in Beijing aerosols, which is commonly attributed to the photochemical oxidation of SO2 in the stratosphere. | 2 | Anti-tumor Activity of Biodegradable Polymer-paclitaxel Conjugated Micelle Against Mice U14 Cervical Cancers显示文摘Two kinds of paclitaxel(PTX) conjugate micelles,of which one contained 25%(mass fraction) PTX [M(PTX)] and the other contained 22.5%(mass fraction) of PTX and 1.4%(mass fraction) of folate(FA)[FA-M(PTX)],were prepared for cell apoptosis and anti-tumor activity evaluation on U14 cervical cancer mouse models in comparison with 0.9%(mass fraction) saline(control) and equivalent Taxol.Seven days after tail intravenous injection of the drugs,the mice were sacrificed to measure the tumor masses.The average tumor masses were 4.26,2.89,2.63,and 2.17 g for the control,Taxol,M(PTX) and FA-M(PTX) groups,respectively.The inhibition rates of tumor growth calculated for the three drug groups were 32%,38% and 49%,respectively.Flow cytometry(FC) analysis and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase(TdT)-mediated deoxyuridine triphosphate(dUTP) nick end labeling(TUNEL) assay were conducted on the cancer tissues.The cell apoptosis rates based on the FC data and the TUNEL data were 20%,31%,37%,42%,and 10%,22%,26%,34%,respectively,both showing statistically significant differences(P<0.05) between three drug groups and the control group,and between the FA-M(PTX) group and the other two drug groups.In conclusion,the composite FA-M(PTX) micelles can be used for U14 cervical cancer treatment. | CHEN Fengl DONG Danl FU Yan ZHENG Yong-hui LIU Shi CHANG Ming-xin JING Xia-bin | 2012 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2012,28,4: | 4 |
| 3 | Combined peripheral natural killer cell and circulating tumor cell enumeration enhance prognostic efficiency in patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer显示文摘Objective:Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is a heterogeneous disease with poor prognosis.Circulating tumor cells(CTCs)are a promising predictor for breast cancer prognoses but their reliability regarding progression-free survival(PFS)is controversial.We aim to verify their predictive value in TNBC.Methods:In present prospective cohort study,we used the Pep@MNPs method to enumerate CTCs in baseline blood samples from 75 patients with TNBC(taken at inclusion in this study)and analyzed correlations between CTC numbers and outcomes and other clinical parameters.Results:Median PFS was 6.0(range:1.0–25.0)months for the entire cohort,in whom we found no correlations between baseline CTC status and initial tumor stage(P=0.167),tumor grade(P=0.783)or histological type(P=0.084).However,among those getting first-line treatment,baseline CTC status was positively correlated with ratio of peripheral natural killer(NK)cells(P=0.032),presence of lung metastasis(P=0.034)and number of visceral metastatic site(P=0.037).Baseline CTC status was predictive for PFS in first-line TNBC(P=0.033),but not for the cohort as a whole(P=0.118).This prognostic limitation of CTC could be ameliorated by combining CTC and NK cell enumeration(P=0.049).Conclusions:Baseline CTC status was predictive of lung metastasis,peripheral NK cell ratio and PFS in TNBC patients undergoing first-line treatment.We have developed a combined CTC-NK enumeration strategy that allows us to predict PFS in TNBC without any preconditions. | Xiaoran Liu Ran Ran Bin Shao Hope S.Rugo Yanlian Yang Zhiyuan Hu Zewen Wei Fengling Wan Weiyao Kong Guohong Song Hanfang Jiang Xu Liang Ruyan Zhang Ying Yan Guobing Xu Huiping Li | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,3: | 4 |

| 16 | Ficolin-2 binds to HIV-1 gp120 and blocks viral infection显示文摘Ficolin-2 is a lectin complement pathway activator present in normal human plasma and usually associated with infectious diseases, but little is known about the role of ficolin-2 in human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) infection. Here, we describe our novel findings that serum ficolin-2concentrations of 103 HIV-1 patients were much higher compared to those of 57 healthy donors. In vitro analysis showed that HIV-1 infection could enhance ficolin-2 expression. We further demonstrated that recombinant ficolin-2 protein could bind with HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein gp120, and subsequently induce complement dependent cytotoxicity. Moreover, ficolin-2 could block the entry of HIV-1 into target cells(TZM-b1 and MT-2 cells) and infection in a ficolin-2 dosedependent manner. | 19 | Record-Breaking Frequency of 44 GHz Based on the Higher Order Mode of Surface Acoustic Waves with LiNbO_(3)/SiO_(2)/SiC Heterostructures显示文摘Surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology has been extensively explored for wireless communication, sensors, microfluidics, photonics, and quantum information processing. However, due to fabrication issues, the frequencies of SAW devices are typically limited to within a few gigahertz, which severely restricts their applications in 5G communication, precision sensing, photonics, and quantum control. To solve this critical problem, we propose a hybrid strategy that integrates a nanomanufacturing process (i.e., nanolithography) with a LiNbO_(3)/SiO_(2)/SiC heterostructure and successfully achieve a record-breaking frequency of about 44 GHz for SAW devices, in addition to large electromechanical coupling coefficients of up to 15.7%. We perform a theoretical analysis and identify the guided higher order wave modes generated on these slow-on-fast SAW platforms. | 20 | Genetic susceptibility loci of lung cancer are associated with malignant risk of pulmonary nodules and improve malignancy diagnosis based on CEA levels显示文摘Objective:The heightened prevalence of pulmonary nodules(PN)has escalated its significance as a public health concern.While the precise identification of high-risk PN carriers for malignancy remains an ongoing challenge,genetic variants hold potentials as determinants of disease susceptibility that can aid in diagnosis.Yet,current understanding of the genetic loci associated with malignant PN(MPN)risk is limited.Methods:A frequency-matched case-control study was performed,comprising 247 MPN cases and 412 benign NP(BNP)controls.We genotyped 11 established susceptibility loci for lung cancer in a Chinese cohort.Loci associated with MPN risk were utilized to compute a polygenic risk score(PRS).This PRS was subsequently incorporated into the diagnostic evaluation of MPNs,with emphasis on serum tumor biomarkers.Results:Loci rs10429489G>A,rs17038564A>G,and rs12265047A>G were identified as being associated with an increased risk of MPNs.The PRS,formulated from the cumulative risk effects of these loci,correlated with the malignant risk of PNs in a dose-dependent fashion.A high PRS was found to amplify the MPN risk by 156%in comparison to a low PRS[odds ratio(OR)=2.56,95%confidence interval(95%CI),1.40−4.67].Notably,the PRS was observed to enhance the diagnostic accuracy of serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)in distinguishing MPNs from BPNs,with diagnostic values rising from 0.716 to 0.861 across low-to high-PRS categories.Further bioinformatics investigations pinpointed rs10429489G>A as an expression quantitative trait locus.Conclusions:Loci rs10429489G>A,rs17038564A>G,and rs12265047A>G contribute to MPN risk and augment the diagnostic precision for MPNs based on serum CEA concentrations. | Zhi Li Liming Lu Yibin Deng Amei Zhuo Fengling Hu Wanwen Sun Guitian Huang Linyuan Liu Boqi Rao Jiachun Lu Lei Yang | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2023,35,5: | 0 |
