1Poisson-Gumbel Mixed Compound Distribution and its application显示文摘With the development of offshore engineering, the joint probability study for extreme sea environments has been a subject of increasing interest for both mathematicians and engineers. However, the conventional multivariate probability distribution models do not describe the distribution of the occurrences of extreme sea states induced by typhoon, hurricane or winter storm, and thus fail to reflect the probability characteristics of sea environments in all the aspects. Extreme sea environments are typically to be found in storms like typhoon, and the occurrences of such storms in certain sea areas, varying from year to year, may be fitted to a discrete distribution. By compounding the discrete distribution with a bivariate continuous distribution of two extreme sea environments, a new kind of distribution-Bivariate Compound Extreme Value Distribution (BCEVD) is obtained in this note. 3Hepatitis B virus X protein enhances hepatocarcinogenesis by depressing the targeting of NUSAP1 mRNA by miR-18b显示文摘Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the underlying mechanism whereby HBx modulates the targeting of NUSAP1 by miR-18b to enhance hepatocarcinogenesis.Methods: We employed an integrated approach of bioinformatics analysis and molecular experiments in hepatoma cells, HBV transgenic mice, and clinical liver cancer tissues to investigate the role of HBx-regulated miR-18b in the development of liver cancer.Results: In this study, we report that the HBx-mediated tumor suppressor miR-18b modulates hepatocarcinogenesis during the host-HBV interaction. The expression levels of miR-18b were lower in clinical HBV-positive liver cancer tissues and liver tissues of HBV-transgenic mice. Interestingly, HBx inhibited miR-18b expression by inducing the methylation of CpG islands in its promoter. Accordingly, we tested the hypothesis that HBx enhanced hepatocarcinogenesis by increasing the expression of target genes of miR-18b. Moreover, we identified nucleolar spindle-associated protein 1(NUSAP1) as one of the target genes of miR-18b.NUSAP1 was expressed at high levels in liver cancer tissues. Interestingly, HBx up-regulated NUSAP1 by suppressing miR-18b.Functionally, miR-18b significantly inhibited the proliferation of hepatoma cells by depressing NUSAP1 levels in vivo and in vitro.Conclusions: Thus, we conclude that the targeting of NUSAP1 mRNA by the tumor suppressor miR-18b is controlled by HBxmodulated promoter methylation during the host-virus interaction, leading to hepatocarcinogenesis. 4Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon formation under simulated coal seam pyrolysis conditions显示文摘Coal seam pyrolysis occurs during coal seam fires and during underground coal gasification.This is an important source of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAH) emission in China.Pyrolysis in a coal seam was simulated in a tubular furnace.The 16 US Environmental Protection Agency priority controlled PAHs were analyzed by HPLC.The effects of temperature,heating rate,pyrolysis atmosphere,and coal size were investigated.The results indicate that the 3-ring PAHs AcP and AcPy are the main species in the pyrolysis gas.The 2-ring NaP and the 4-ring Pyr are also of concern.Increasing temperature caused the total PAH yield to go through a minimum.The lowest value was obtained at the temperature of 600 °C.Higher heating rates promote PAH formation,especially formation of the lower molecular weight PAHs.The typical heating rate in a coal seam,5 °C/min,results in intermediate yields of PAHs.The total PAHs yield in an atmosphere of N2 is about 1.81 times that seen without added N2,which indicates that an air flow through the coal seam accelerates the formation of PAHs.An increase in coal particle size reduces the total PAHs emission but promotes the formation of 5-and 6-ring PAHs.Liu Shuqin Wang Yuanyuan Wang Caihong Bao Pengcheng Dang Jinli 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,4:5
5Ultrahigh sensitive near-infrared photodetectors based on MoTe2/germanium heterostructure显示文摘The efficient near-infrared light detection of the MoTe2/germanium(Ge)heterojunction has been demonstrated.The fabricated MoTe2/Ge van der Waals heterojunction shows excellent photoresponse performances under the illumination of a 915 nm laser.The photoresponsivity and specific detectivity can reach to 12,460 A/W and 3.3×10^12 Jones,respectively.And the photoresponse time is 5 ms.However,the MoTe2/Ge heterojunction suffers from a large reverse current at dark due to the low barrier between MoTe2 and Ge.Therefore,to reduce the reverse current,an ultrathin GeO2 layer deposited by ozone oxidation has been introduced to the MoTe2/Ge heterojunction.The reverse current of the MoTe2/GeO2/Ge heterojunction at dark was suppressed from 0.44µA/µm^2 to 0.03 nA/µm^2,being reduced by more than four orders of magnitude.The MoTe2/Ge heterojunction with the GeO2 layer also exhibits good photoresponse performances,with a high responsivity of 15.6 A/W,short response time of 5 ms,and good specific detectivity of 4.86×10^11 Jones.These properties suggest that MoTe2/Ge heterostructure is one of the promising structures for the development of high performance near-infrared photodetectors.Wenjie Chen Renrong Liang Shuqin Zhang Yu Liu Weijun Cheng Chuanchuan Sun Jun Xu 2020Nano Research2020,13,1:5
6Particle Filter Object Tracking Algorithm Based on Sparse Representation and Nonlinear Resampling显示文摘Object tracking with abrupt motion is an important research topic and has attracted wide attention.To obtain accurate tracking results,an improved particle filter tracking algorithm based on sparse representation and nonlinear resampling is proposed in this paper. First,the sparse representation is used to compute particle weights by considering the fact that the weights are sparse when the object moves abruptly,so the potential object region can be predicted more precisely. Then,a nonlinear resampling process is proposed by utilizing the nonlinear sorting strategy,which can solve the problem of particle diversity impoverishment caused by traditional resampling methods. 8Lymphangiogenesis contributes to exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth显示文摘Background:Promoting cardiac lymphangiogenesis exerts beneficial effects for the heart.Exercise can induce physiological cardiac growth with cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and increased proliferation markers in cardiomyocytes.However,it remains unclear whether and how lymphangiogenesis contributes to exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth.We aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of lymphangiogenesis in exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth.Methods:Adult C57 BL6/J mice were subjected to 3 weeks of swimming exercise to induce physiological cardiac growth.Oral treatment with vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3(VEGFR3) inhibitor SAR1 3 1 675 was used to investigate whether cardiac lymphangiogenesis was required for exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth by VEGFR3 activation.Furthermore,human dermal lymphatic endothelial cell(LEC)-conditioned medium was collected to culture isolated neonatal rat cardiomyocytes to determine whether and how LECs could influence cardiomyocyte proliferation and hypertrophy.Results:Swimming exercise induced physiological cardiac growth accompanied by a remarkable increase of cardiac lymphangiogenesis as evidenced by increased density of lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronic acid receptor 1-positive lymphatic vessels in the heart and upregulated LYVE-1 and Podoplanin expressions levels.VEGFR3 was upregulated in the exercised heart,while VEGFR3 inhibitor SAR131675 attenuated exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth as evidenced by blunted myocardial hypertrophy and reduced proliferation marker Ki67 in cardiomyocytes,which was correlated with reduced lymphatic vessel density and downregulated LYVE-1 and Podoplanin in the heart upon exercise.Furthermore,LEC-conditioned medium promoted both hypertrophy and proliferation of cardiomyocytes and contained higher levels of insulinlike growth factor-1 and the extracellular protein Reelin,while LEC-conditioned medium from LECs treated with SAR131675 blocked these effects.Functional rescue assays further demonstrated that protein kinase B(AKT) activation,as well as reduced CCAAT enhancer-binding protein beta(C/EBPβ) and increased CBP/p300-interacting transactivators with E(glutamic acid)/D(aspartic acid)-rich-carboxylterminal domain 4(CITED4),contributed to the promotive effect of LEC-conditioned medium on cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and proliferation.Conclusion:Our findings reveal that cardiac lymphangiogenesis is required for exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth by VEGFR3 activation,and they indicate that LEC-conditioned medium promotes both physiological hypertrophy and proliferation of cardiomyocytes through AKT activation and the C/EBPβ-CITED4 axis.These results highlight the essential roles of cardiac lymphangiogenesis in exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth.Yihua Bei Zhenzhen Huang Xing Feng Lin Li Meng Wei Yujiao Zhu Shuqin Liu Chen Chen Mingming Yin Huimin Jiang Junjie Xiao 2022Journal of Sport and Health Science2022,11,4:2
9The depositional Environment at Shuidonggou Locality 2 in Northwest China at ~72-18 kaBP显示文摘Shuidonggou site has abundant Paleolithic remains of Late Pleistocene deposition. Studying the evolution of depositional environments is essential to the comprehensive understanding of the living conditions of ancient populations. To reconstruct the depositional environment at Shuidonggou, we carried out archaeological excavations and collected systematic deposition samples at the key position of Shuidonggou Locality 2 for grain size analysis and sporopollen statistics. The environmental evolution around the Shuidonggou site generally underwent four stages at ~72-18 kaBP. During the first stage (~72-41 kaBP), the river developed with gravel and sand stratums. During the second stage (41~34 kaBP), a swamp with numerous aquatic plants formed. In the third stage (34-29 kaBP), site formation was characterized by shallow lake depositional conditions; the climate was relatively warm and humid. 11Biochar for the removal of contaminants from soil and water:a review显示文摘Biochar shows significant potential to serve as a globally applicable material to remediate water and soil owing to the extensive availability of feedstocks and conducive physio-chemical surface characteristics.This review aims to highlight biochar production technologies,characteristics of biochar,and the latest advancements in immobilizing and eliminating heavy metal ions and organic pollutants in soil and water.Pyrolysis temperature,heat transfer rate,residence time,and type of feedstock are critical influential parameters.Biochar’s efficacy in managing contaminants relies on the pore size distribution,surface groups,and ion-exchange capacity.The molecular composition and physical architecture of biochar may be crucial when practically applied to water and soil.In general,biochar produced at relatively high pyrolysis temperatures can effectively manage organic pollutants via increasing surface area,hydrophobicity and microporosity.Biochar generated at lower temperatures is deemed to be more suitable for removing polar organic and inorganic pollutants through oxygen-containing functional groups,precipitation and electrostatic attraction.This review also presents the existing obstacles and future research direction related to biochar-based materials in immobilizing organic contaminants and heavy metal ions in effluents and soil.Muqing Qiu Lijie Liu Qian Ling Yawen Cai Shujun Yu Shuqin Wang Dong Fu Baowei Hu Xiangke Wang 2022Biochar2022,4,1:2
12Experimental results for the vapor-liquid equilibria of 0(formaldehyde+1,3,5-trioxane+methanol+salt+water)systems and comparison with predictions显示文摘The salt effect on the vaporliquid phase equilibrium(VLE)of solvent mixtures is of significant interest in the industrial production of 1,3,5trioxane.Experimental data for the VLE of quinary systems(formaldehyde+1,3,5trioxane+methanol+salt+water)and their ternary subsystems(formaldehyde+salt+water),(1,3,5trioxane+salt+water),and(methanol+salt+water)were systematic measured under atmospheric pressure.The salts considered included KBr,NaNO_(3),and CaCl_(2).The extended UNIFAC model was used to describe the VLE of the saltcontaining reactive mixtures.The model parameters were determined from the experimental VLE data of ternary systems or obtained from the literature,and then were used to predict the VLE of systems(1,3,5trioxane+KBr+water),(methanol+KBr+water),(formaldehyde+KBr+water),and(formaldehyde+1,3,5trioxane+methanol+salt+water)with salt=KBr,NaNO_(3),and CaCl_(2).The predicted results showed good agreements with the measured results.Furthermore,the model was used to uncover the salt effect on the VLE of these multisolvent reactive systems.Xianming Zhang Mengchen Li Yufeng Hu Zhichang Liu Shuqin Mo 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,4:2
