1Major advances in studies of the physical geography and living environment of China during the past 70 years and future prospects显示文摘The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. 2Ni-Co/Mg-Al catalyst derived from hydrotalcite-like compound prepared by plasma for dry reforming of methane显示文摘Ni-Co bimetallic catalysts with different Ni/Co content were derived from cold plasma jet decomposition and reduction of hydrotalcite-like compounds containing Ni,Co,Mg and Al,and their catalytic performance was investigated with dry reforming of methane.Experimental results showed that the hydrotalcite-like precursors could be completely decomposed and partly reduced by cold plasma jet,and the Nicontained catalysts exhibited much higher activity than the catalyst without Ni.Especially,the catalyst with Ni/Co ratio of 8/2 achieved not only the highest conversions of 80.3%and 69.3%for CH4 and CO2,respectively,but also the best stability in 100 h testing.The catalysts were characterized by XRD,XPS,TEM and N2 adsorption techniques,and the results showed that the better performance of the 8Ni2Co bimetallic catalyst was attributed to its higher metal dispersion,smaller metal particle size,as well as the interaction effect between Ni and Co,which were brought by the special catalyst preparation method.Huali Long Yan Xu Xiaoqing Zhang Shijing Hu Shuyong Shang Yongxiang Yin Xiaoyan Dai 2013Journal of Energy Chemistry2013,22,5:8
3Comparative genomic and transcriptomic analyses uncover the molecular basis of high nitrogen-use efficiency in the wheat cultivar Kenong 9204显示文摘Studying the regulatory mechanisms that drive nitrogen-use efficiency(NUE)in crops is important for sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.In this study,we generated a high-quality genome assembly for the high-NUE wheat cultivar Kenong 9204 and systematically analyzed genes related to nitrogen uptake and metabolism.By comparative analyses,we found that the high-affinity nitrate transporter gene family had expanded in Triticeae.Further studies showed that subsequent functional differentiation endowed the expanded family members with saline inducibility,providing a genetic basis for improving the adaptability of wheat to nitrogen deficiency in various habitats.To explore the genetic and molecular mechanisms of high NUE,we compared genomic and transcriptomic data from the high-NUE cultivar Kenong 9204(KN9204)and the low-NUE cultivar Jing 411 and quantified their nitrogen accumulation under high-and low-nitrogen conditions.Compared with Jing 411,KN9204 absorbed significantly more nitrogen at the reproductive stage after shooting and accumulated it in the shoots and seeds.Transcriptome data analysis revealed that nitrogen deficiency clearly suppressed the expression of genes related to cell division in the young spike of Jing 411,whereas this suppression of gene expression was much lower in KN9204.In addition,KN9204 maintained relatively high expression of NPF genes for a longer time than Jing 411 during seed maturity.Physiological and transcriptome data revealed that KN9204 was more tolerant of nitrogen deficiency than Jing 411,especially at the reproductive stage.The high NUE of KN9204 is an integrated effect controlled at different levels.Taken together,our data provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of NUE and important gene resources for improving wheat cultivars with a higher NUE trait.Xiaoli Shi Fa Cui Xinyin Han Yilin He Long Zhao Na Zhang Hao Zhang Haidong Zhu Zhexin Liu Bin Ma Shusong Zheng Wei Zhang Jiajia Liu Xiaoli Fan Yaoqi Si Shuiquan Tian Jianqing Niu Huilan Wu Xuemei Liu Zhuo Chen Deyuan Meng Xiaoyan Wang Liqiang Song Lijing Sun Jie Han Hui Zhao Jun Ji Zhiguo Wang Xiaoyu He Ruilin Li Xuebin Chi Chengzhi Liang Beifang Niu Jun Xiao Junming Li Hong-Qing Ling 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,9:6
4Tunable nonlinear refractive index of two-dimensional MoS2, WS2, and MoSe2 nanosheet dispersions [Invited]显示文摘Liquid-phase-exfoliation technology was utilized to prepare layered MoS2, WS2, and MoSe2 nanosheets in cyclohexylpyrrolidone. The nonlinear optical response of these nanosheets in dispersions was investigated by observing spatial self-phase modulation(SSPM) using a 488 nm continuous wave laser beam. The diffraction ring patterns of SSPM were found to be distorted along the vertical direction right after the laser traversing the nanosheet dispersions. The nonlinear refractive index of the three transition metal dichalcogenides dispersions n2 was measured to be 10-7cm2W-1, and the third-order nonlinear susceptibility χ(3)10-9 esu. The relative change of effective nonlinear refractive index Δn2e∕n(2e) of the MoS2, WS2, and MoSe2 dispersions can be modulated 0.012–0.240, 0.029–0.154, and 0.091–0.304, respectively, by changing the incident intensities. 5Identification of Animal Rabies in Inner Mongolia and Analysis of the Etiologic Characteristics显示文摘Objective To perform pathological observation and etiological identification of specimens collected from dairy cows,beef cattle and dogs which were suspected of rabies in Inner Mongolia in 2011,and analyze their etiological characteristics. Methods Pathological observation was conducted on the brain specimens of three infected animals with Hematoxylin-Eosin staining,followed by confirmation using immunofluorescence and nested RT-PCR methods. Finally,phylogenetic analysis was conducted using the virus N gene sequence amplified from three specimens. Results Eosinophilic and cytoplasmic inclusion bodies were seen in neuronal cells of the CNS; and rabies non-characteristic histopathological changes were also detected in the CNS. The three brain specimens were detected positive. N gene nucleotide sequence of these three isolates showed distinct sequence identity,therefore they fell into different groups in the phylogenetic analysis. N gene in the cow and dog had higher homology with that in Hebei isolate,but that in the beef cattle had higher homology with that in Mongolian lupine isolate and Russian red fox isolate. 6Urea combustion synthesis of LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_4 as a cathode material for lithium ion batteries显示文摘LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 was synthesized by combustion synthesis(UCS) using urea as fuel.X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope measurements showed that the spinel structure LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 with the space group Fd3m was formed during urea combustion.Both structure and particle size could be adjusted by the amount of urea and the heat treatment temperature used in the UCS.For the LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 sample prepared with a urea/Li molar ratio of 0.57 and a heat treatment temperature of 900 C,the particle-size distribution fell in a narrow range of 1-2 m.Electrochemical tests indicated that this LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 sample delivered a discharge capacity of 133.6 mAh/g with a capacity retention rate of 99.6% after 20 cycles at 0.5 C.Kedi Yang Jing Su Li Zhang Yunfei Long Xiaoyan Lv Yanxuan Wen 2012Particuology2012,10,6:3
7Ni/MgO catalyst prepared using atmospheric high-frequency discharge plasma for CO_2 reforming of methane显示文摘A new type of Ni/MgO catalyst was prepared using atmospheric high-frequency discharge cold plasma. The influences of conventional method, plasma method, and plasma plus calcination method on the catalytic activity were studied and the CO2 reforming of methane was chosen as the probe reaction. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and CO2 temperature-programmed surface reaction techniques. The results suggested that the nickel-based catalyst prepared by plasma plus calcination method possessed a smaller particle size and a higher dispersion of active component, better low-temperature activity and enhanced anti-coking ability. 8Sorption of Pb(II) from aqueous solution by konjac glucomannan beads显示文摘Konjac glucomannan beads have been investigated as metal biosorbent for Pb(II) from aqueous solu-tions. The effect of contact time, solution pH, initial metal concentration, and desorption were studied in batch experiments at 20℃±2℃. Maximum mental sorption was found to occur at initial pH 4.0―5.5. Kinetic studies revealed that the initial uptake was rapid and equilibrium was established in 3 h and that the data followed the prseudo-second order reaction. The equilibrium sorption data at initial pH 4.0 were described by the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models; however, Langmuir isotherm model has been found to provide the best correlation. The highest value of Langmuir maximum uptake (qmax) was found to be 105.71 mg·g-1. Similar Freundlich empirical constant (KF) was obtained to be 1.98 for lead. Adsorption-complexation may be involved in the sorption process of lead. Desorption experi- ments showed evidence that after two contacts neither HCl nor EDTA solutions were able to desorb lead from the konjac glucomannan beads, but the desorbtion efficacy of HCl solution was higher than EDTA solution. 10Development of the novel ACLY inhibitor 326E as a promising treatment for hypercholesterolemia显示文摘Hepatic cholesterol accumulation is an important contributor to hypercholesterolemia,which results in atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease(CVD).ATP-citrate lyase(ACLY)is a key lipogenic enzyme that converts cytosolic citrate derived from tricarboxylic acid cycle(TCA cycle)to acetyl-CoA in the cytoplasm.Therefore,ACLY represents a link between mitochondria oxidative phosphorylation and cytosolic de novo lipogenesis.In this study,we developed the small molecule 326E with an enedioic acid structural moiety as a novel ACLY inhibitor,and its CoA-conjugated form 326E-CoA inhibited ACLY activity with an IC_(50)=5.31±1.2μmol/L in vitro.326E treatment reduced de novo lipogenesis,and increased cholesterol efflux in vitro and in vivo.326E was rapidly absorbed after oral administration,exhibited a higher blood exposure than that of the approved ACLY inhibitor bempedoic acid(BA)used for hypercholesterolemia.Chronic 326E treatment in hamsters and rhesus monkeys resulted in remarkable improvement of hyperlipidemia.Once daily oral administration of 326E for 24 weeks prevented the occurrence of atherosclerosis in ApoE^(-/-)mice to a greater extent than that of BA treatment.Taken together,our data suggest that inhibition of ACLY by 326E represents a promising strategy for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia.Zhifu Xie Mei Zhang Qian Song Long Cheng Xinwen Zhang Gaolei Song Xinyu Sun Min Gu Chendong Zhou Yangming Zhang Kexin Zhu Jianpeng Yin Xiaoyan Chen Jingya Li Fajun Nan 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,2:1

13FERONIA is involved in phototropin 1-mediated blue light phototropic growth in Arabidopsis显示文摘Plant shoot phototropism is triggered by the formation of a light-driven auxin gradient leading to bending growth.The blue light receptor phototropin 1(phot1)senses light direction,but how this leads to auxin gradient formation and growth regulation remains poorly understood.Previous studies have suggested phot1’s role for regulated apoplastic acidification,but its relation to phototropin and hypocotyl phototropism is unclear.Herein,we show that blue light can cause phot1 to interact with and phosphorylate FERONIA(FER),a known cell growth regulator,and trigger downstream phototropic bending growth in Arabidopsis hypocotyls.fer mutants showed defects in phototropic growth,similar to phot1/2 mutant.FER also interacts with and phosphorylates phytochrome kinase substrates,the phot1 downstream substrates.The phot1-FER pathway acts upstream of apoplastic acidification and the auxin gradient formation in hypocotyl under lateral blue light,both of which are critical for phototropic bending growth in hypocotyls.Our study highlights a pivotal role of FER in the phot1-mediated phototropic cell growth regulation in plants.Chiyu Li Jia Chen Xiaoyan Li Xin Zhang Ying Liu Sirui Zhu Long Wang Heping Zheng Sheng Luan Jiada Li Feng Yu 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,10:1

18Two-dimensional array of nanoparticles intermitted by long chain molecules显示文摘It is an important theme in nanoscience to control the interval of the ordered array of nanoparticles through modifying the chain length of the passivating molecules of the nanoparticles. The theme runs through most of the applications of the ordered array of nanoparticles. Though the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique is one of the most important ways to prepare the two-dimensional ordered array of nanoparticles, it has only been used in case that the passivating molecules are short enough (<C12). When the passivating molecules become longer, it is difficult to obtain the ordered array of the particles simply by compressing them on the surface of water. The present work focused on the formation of the two-dimensional array of the octadecyl-amine-passivated gold nanoparticles at the air/water interface. By properly modifying the ordinary LB technique, the long-term two-dimensional ordered array of nanoparticles was successfully achieved.
