| 1 | Electro-acupuncture regulates the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway in a rat model of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease显示文摘Objective: Acupuncture has a definite therapeutic effect on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD), and the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway(CAP) has been shown to be involved in regulation of inflammation. In this study, we investigated whether electro-acupuncture(EA) affects the CAP in COPD.Methods: Sprague-Dawley rats were induced into COPD through exposure to cigarette smoke combined with lipopolysaccharide. EA treatment was applied at Zusanli(ST36) and Feishu(BL13) points for 30 min/d for 7 d. Seventy-two rats were randomly divided into six study groups, including normal, normal + EA,normal + α-bungarotoxin(a-BGT)(the antagonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor a7 subunit(a7 nAChR)) + EA, COPD, COPD + EA, and COPD + α-BGT + EA. Lung function, pathology and vagus nerve discharge were tested. The levels of acetylcholine(ACh), acetylcholinesterase(AChE), interleukin-6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-a(TNF-a) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) and lung tissue were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The mRNA and protein expression and immunoreactivity of a7 nAChR and its postreceptor inflammation signal pathway, including janus kinase 2(JAK2), signal transducers and activators of transcription 3(STAT3), nuclear factor-KB(NF-κB), were observed by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, Western blot and immunohistochemistry.Results: Compared with normal rats, there were a significant decline in lung function and discharge of the vagus nerve(P < 0.01), a marked sign of lung inflammation and an increase of ACh, AChE, IL-6 and TNF-a level in BALF or lung tissue(P < 0.05, P < 0.01) and higher expression of a7 nAChR, JAK2, STAT3 and NF-κB(P<0.05, P<0.01) in the COPD rats. In rats receiving EA, the lung function and vagal discharge were enhanced(P < 0.01), lung inflammation was improved and the levels of ACh, AChE, IL-6 and TNF-a were decreased(P<0.01). Further, the expression of a7 nAChR, JAK2, STAT3 and NF-κB was downregulated(P < 0.05, P < 0.01). | 6 | Emission factors of gaseous carbonaceous species from residential combustion of coal and crop residue briquettes显示文摘Experiments were performed to measure the emission factors (EFs) of gaseous carbonaceous species, such as CO2, CO, CH4, and non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs), from the combustion of five types of coal of varying organic maturity and two types of biomass briquettes under residential burning conditions. Samples were collected in stainless steel canisters and 2,4- dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) cartridges and were analyzed by GC FID/MS and HPLC, respectively. The EFs from crop residue briquette burning were generally higher than those from coals, with the exception of CO2. The dominant NMVOC species identified in coal smoke were carbonyls (41.7%), followed by C2 unsaturated hydrocarbons (29.1%) and aromatics (12.1%), while C2 unsaturated hydrocarbons were the dominant species (68.9%) emitted from the combustion of crop residue briquettes, followed by aromatics (14.4%). A comparison of burning normal crop residues in stoves and the open field indicated that briquettes emitted a larger proportion of ethene and acetylene. Both combustion efficiency and coal organic maturity had a significant impact on NMVOC EFs from burning coal: NMVOC emissions increased with increasing coal organic maturity but decreased as the combustion efficiency improved. Emissions from the combustion of crop residue briquettes from stoves occurred mainly during the smoldering process, with low combustion efficiency. | 11 | De novo combination therapy with lamivudine and adefovir dipivoxil in chronic hepatitis B patients显示文摘AIM:To investigate the appropriate time for combination therapy in HBeAg positive chronic hepatitis B(CHB) patients with decompensated cirrhosis.METHODS:Thirty HBeAg positive CHB patients with decompensated cirrhosis were enrolled in the study.All of the patients were given 48 wk combination therapy with lamivudine(LAM) and adefovir dipivoxil(ADV) .Briefly,10 patients were given the de novo combination therapy with LAM and ADV,whereas the other 20 patients received ADV in addition to LAM after hepatitis B virus(HBV) genetic mutation.RESULTS:Serum alanine aminotransferase and total bilirubin were both improved in the two groups at 4,12,24 and 48 wk after treatment.Serum albumin was also improved at 24 and 48 wk after combination therapy in both groups.The serum HBV DNA level wasstill detectable in every patient in the two groups at 4 and 12 wk after combination treatment.However,in the de novo combination group,serum HBV DNA levels in 4(40%) and 9(90%) patients was decreased to below 1×10 3 copies/mL at 24 and 48 wk after the combination treatment,respectively.In parallel,serum HBV DNA levels in 2(20%) and 8(40%) patients in the add-on combination group became undetectable at 24 and 48 wk after combination treatment,respectively.Furthermore,6(60%) patients in the de novo combination group achieved HBeAg seroconversion after 48 wk treatment,whereas only 4(20%) patients in the add-on combination group achieved seroconversion.Child-Pugh score of patients in the de novo combination group was better than that of patients in the add-on combination group after 48 wk treatment.Moreover,patients in the de novo combination group had a significantly decreased serum creatinine level and elevated red blood cell counts.CONCLUSION:De novo combination therapy with LAM and ADV was better than add-on combination therapy in terms of Child-Pugh score,virus inhibition and renal function. | Xiao-Hong Fan Jian-Zhang Geng Li-Fen Wang Ying-Ying Zheng Hai-Ying Lu Jing Li Xiao-Yuan Xu | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011,17,43: | 12 |

| 13 | Study of Serum Metabonomics and Formula-Pattern Correspondence in Coronary Heart Disease Patients Diagnosed as Phlegm or Blood Stasis Pattern Based on Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry显示文摘Objectives: To study the characteristics of serum metabonomics in coronary heart disease(CHD) patients diagnosed as phlegm or blood stasis pattern and explore effects of formula-pattern correspondence treatment. Methods: A total of 102 stable CHD patients were enrolled and divided into phlegm group(P group, n=52) and blood stasis group(BS group, n=50) according to pattern identification. Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction(瓜蒌薤白半夏汤, GXBD) and Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction(血府逐瘀汤, XZD) were used as drug interventions. Relevant indicators of metabonomics were observed by ultra performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS) and pattern recognition. Results: Levels of amino acids and phosphatidylethanolamine(PE) in the CHD group were much higher than those in healthy control group, while the levels of unsaturated fatty acids, sphingosine, Lyso, phosphatidylcholine(PC) were significantly lower(P<0.01). Most of the differential metabolites between the CHD and the healthy groups were also common metabolites of phlegm and blood stasis. 7(Z), 10(Z)-hexadecadienoic acid and DPA were decreased in the P group and increased in the BS group. According to the quantity of retraced metabolites, improvement in metabonomics by formula-pattern correspondence was superior to that without correspondence in the BS group. Based on the varieties of metabolites, GXBD could improve the levels of docosapentaenoic acid(DPA), sphingomyelin(SM)(d34:1), and L-Lactic acid and XZD could ameliorate the levels of sphingosine and Vit E in the P group. In the BS group, GXBD could improve vitamin E level and XZD could make improvements in the levels of octadecanoic acid, phosphoglycerol, and SM(d34:1). Conclusions: Phlegm and blood stasis in CHD patients present specific differential metabolites, and share common metabolites. Remarkable differences have been displayed in pathological properties and severity of phlegm and blood stasis. Patients with phlegm are more likely to have lipid metabolism disorders. However, in patients with blood stasis, problems mainly lie in glucose, protein and fat metabolism and the injury of vascular cell membrane is relatively severe. The metabolic disorder is more complicated in blood stasis pattern than that in phlegm pattern. | 15 | Application value analysis of magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography in the diagnosis of intracranial infection after craniocerebral surgery显示文摘BACKGROUND Intracranial infection is a common clinical disease.Computed tomography(CT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)have certain sensitivity and have good diagnostic efficacy.AIM To study the application value of MRI and CT in the diagnosis of intracranial infection after craniocerebral surgery.METHODS We selected 82 patients who underwent craniocerebral surgery(including 40 patients with intracranial infection and 42 patients without infection)during the period from April 2016 to June 2019 in our hospital.All 82 patients received CT and MRI examinations,and their clinical data were reviewed.A retrospective analysis was performed,and the coincidence rate of positive diagnosis and the overall diagnosis coincidence rate of different pathogenic infection types were measured with the two examination methods.The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity as well as the positive and negative predictive values of the two examination methods were compared.RESULTS For all types of pathogenic infections(Staphylococcus aureus,Staphylococcus hemolyticus,Staphylococcus epidermidis,and others),MRI scans had higher positive diagnostic coincidence rates than CT scans;the overall diagnostic coincidence rate,sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,and negative predictive values were significantly higher with MRI examinations than with CT examinations,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION MRI examination can accurately diagnose intracranial infection after clinical craniocerebral surgery.Compared with CT,MRI had higher diagnostic efficiency.The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity,the diagnostic coincidence rate,and the positive and negative predictive values were significantly higher with MRI than with conventional CT,which can be actively promoted. | Lan Gu Xiao-Liang Yang Hui-Kang Yin Ze-Hua Lu Cheng-Jun Geng | 2020 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,23: | 10 |

| 19 | Zircon Hf Isotopes and Geochemistry of the Early Paleoproterozoic High-Sr Low-Y Quartz-Diorite in the Quanji Massif,NW China:Crustal Growth and Tectonic Implications显示文摘The metamorphosed Early Paleoproterozoic granitoids in the Quanji massif,Northwestern China provide constraints for relationship between the Tarim Craton and North China Craton.Among granitoids batholiths,rocks of the Mohe quartz-diorite show typically adakitic geochemical characteristics,with medium K2O/Na2O ratios(0.56–1.17)and high Sr(519–619 ppm)low Y(9.37–20.40 ppm)and Yb(0.97–1.77 ppm)concentrations.The rocks haveεNd(t)values between+2.4and+4.4 and depleted mantle Nd model ages of 2.43–2.59 Ga.The magmatic zircons have positiveεHf(t)values ranging from+0.40 to+7.60 and depleted mantle Hf model ages of 2.43–2.70 Ga,with major peaks at^2.54 and^2.65 Ga.The geochemical and Nd-Hf isotopic characteristics indicate that the Mohe quartz-dioritic rocks might be formed by partial melting of high-pressure metamorphosed juvenile crustal rocks in post-orogenic extensional regime in the Early Paleoproterozoic.It suggests that important crustal growth occurred in the Quanji massif and the Tarim Craton at^2.4 and 2.5–2.7 Ga.The Quanji massif and Tarim Craton might share a similar crustal evolution history with the North China Craton in the Neoarchean. | Songlin Gong Nengsong Chen Hongyan Geng Min Sun Lu Zhang Qinyan Wang | 2014 | Journal of Earth Science2014,25,1: | 8 |
