1Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder in China:A Nationwide Multi-center Population-based Study Among Children Aged 6 to 12 Years显示文摘This study aimed to obtain the first national estimate of the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) in Chinese children.We targeted the population of 6 to 12-year-old children for this prevalence study by multistage convenient cluster sampling.The Modified Chinese Autism Spectrum Rating Scale was used for the screening process.Of the target population of 142,086 children,88.5%(n=125,806) participated in the study.A total of 363 children were confirmed as having ASD.The observed ASD prevalence rate was 0.29%(95% CI:0.26%-0.32%) for the overall population.After adjustment for response rates,the estimated number of ASD cases was867 in the target population sample,thereby achieving an estimated prevalence of 0.70%(95% CI:0.64%-0.74%).The prevalence was significantly higher in boys than in girls(0.95%;95% CI:0.87%-1.02% versus 0.30%;95%CI:0.26%-0.34%;P <0.001).Of the 363 confirmed ASD cases,43.3% were newly diagnosed,and most of those(90.4%) were attending regular schools,and 68.8% of the children with ASD had at least one neuropsychiatric comorbidity.Our findings provide reliable data on the estimated ASD prevalence and comorbidities in Chinese children.Hao Zhou Xiu Xu Weili Yan Xiaobing Zou Lijie Wu Xuerong Luo Tingyu Li Yi Huang Hongyan Guan Xiang Chen Meng Mao Kun Xia Lan Zhang Erzhen Li Xiaoling Ge Lili Zhang Chunpei Li Xudong Zhang Yuanfeng Zhou Ding Ding Andy Shih Eric Fombonne Yi Zheng Jisheng Han Zhongsheng Sun Yong-hui Jiang Yi Wang LATENT-NHC Study Team 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,9:158
2The Sunway TaihuLight supercomputer: system and applications显示文摘The Sunway Taihu Light supercomputer is the world's first system with a peak performance greater than 100 PFlops. In this paper, we provide a detailed introduction to the Taihu Light system. In contrast with other existing heterogeneous supercomputers, which include both CPU processors and PCIe-connected many-core accelerators(NVIDIA GPU or Intel Xeon Phi), the computing power of Taihu Light is provided by a homegrown many-core SW26010 CPU that includes both the management processing elements(MPEs)and computing processing elements(CPEs) in one chip. With 260 processing elements in one CPU, a single SW26010 provides a peak performance of over three TFlops. To alleviate the memory bandwidth bottleneck in most applications, each CPE comes with a scratch pad memory, which serves as a user-controlled cache. To support the parallelization of programs on the new many-core architecture, in addition to the basic C/C++and Fortran compilers, the system provides a customized Sunway Open ACC tool that supports the Open ACC2.0 syntax. 3Extract of Naotaifang, a compound Chinese herbal medicine, protects neuron ferroptosis induced by acute cerebral ischemia in rats显示文摘Objective:Our previous research showed that Naotaifang(a compound traditional Chinese herbal medicine)extract(NTE)has clinically beneficial effects on neurological improvement of patients with acute cerebral ischemia.In this study,we investigated whether NTE protected acute brain injury in rats and whether its effects on ferroptosis could be linked to the dysfunction of glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)and iron metabolism.Methods:We established an acute brain injury model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)in rats,in which we could observe the accumulation of iron in neurons,as detected by Perl’s staining.Using assay kits,we measured expression levels of ferroptosis biomarkers,such as iron,glutathione(GSH),reactive oxygen species(ROS)and malonaldehyde(MDA);further the expression levels of transferrin receptor1(TFR1),divalent metal transporter 1(DMT1),solute carrier family 7 member 11(SLC7 A11)and GPX4 were determined using immunohistochemical analysis,real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blot assays.Results:We found that treatment with NTE reduced the expression levels of TFR1 and DMT1,reduced ROS,MDA and iron accumulation and reduced neurobehavioral scores,relative to untreated MCAO rats.Treatment with NTE increased the expression levels of SLC7 A11,GPX4 and GSH,and the number of Nissl bodies in the MCAO rats.Conclusion:Taken together,our data suggest that acute cerebral ischemia induces neuronal ferroptosis and the effects of treating MCAO rats with NTE involved inhibition of ferroptosis through the TFR1/DMT1 and SCL7 A11/GPX4 pathways.Bin Lan Jin-wen Ge Shao-wu Cheng Xi-long Zheng Jun Liao Chao He Zheng-qing Rao Guo-zuo Wang 2020Journal of Integrative Medicine2020,18,4:37
4Biodegradation of oil wastewater by free and immobilized Yarrowia lipolytica W29显示文摘The ability of Yarrowia lipolytica W29 immobilized by calcium alginate to degrade oil and chemical oxygen demand(COD) was examined.The degradation rules of oil and COD by immobilized cells with the cell density of 6.65 × 106 CFU/mL degraded 2000 mg/L oil and 2000 mg/L COD within 50 h at 30℃(pH 7.0,150 r/min),similarly to those of free cells,and the degradation effciencies of oil and COD by immobilized cells were above 80%,respectively.The factors affecting oil and COD degradation by immobilized cells were investigated,the results showed that immobilized cells had high thermostability compared to that of free cells,and substrate concentration significantly affected degrading ability of immobilized cells.Storage stability and reusability tests revealed that the oil degradation ability of immobilized cells was stable after storing at 4℃ for 30 d and reuse for 12 times,respectively,the COD degradation rate of immobilized cells was also maintained 82% at the sixth cycle.These results suggested that immobilized Y.lipolytica might be applicable to a wastewater treatment system for the removal of oil and COD.WU Lan GE Gang WAN Jinbao 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,2:14

6Transcriptional Regulation of miR528 by OsSPL9 Orchestrates Antiviral Response in Rice显示文摘Many microRNAs (miRNAs) are critical regulators of plant antiviral defense.However,little is known about how these miRNAs respond to virus invasion at the transcriptional level.We previously show that defense against Rice stripe virus (RSV) invasion entailed a reduction of miR528 accumulation in rice,alleviating miR528-mediated degradation of L-Ascorbate Oxidase (AO) mRNA and bolstering the antiviral activity of AO.Here we show that the miR528-A0 defense module is regulated by the transcription factor SPL9.SPL9 displayed high-affinity binding to specific motifs within the promoter region of miR528 and activated the expression of miR528 gene in vivo.Loss-of-function mutations in SPL9 caused a significant reduction in miR528 accumulation but a substantial increase of AO mRNA,resulting in enhanced plant resistance to RSV.Conversely,transgenic overexpression of SPL9 stimulated the expression of miR528 gene,hence lowering the level of AO mRNA and compromising rice defense against RSV.Importantly,gain in RSV susceptibility did not occur when SPL9 was overexpressed in mir528 loss-of-function mutants,or in transgenic rice expressing a miR528-resistant AO.Taken together,the finding of SPL9-mediated transcriptional activation of miR528 expression adds a new regulatory layer to the miR528-A0 antiviral defense pathway.Shengze Yao Zhirui Yang Rongxin Yang Yu Huang Ge Guo Xiangyue Kong Ying Lan Tong Zhou He Wang Wenming Wang Xiaofeng Cao Jianguo Wu Yi Li 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,8:10

8Oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil hepatic infusion with lipiodolized chemoembolization in large hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To investigate transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) with hepatic infusion of oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil and Lipiodol chemoembolization in large hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS: In this retrospective study, 132 patients with unresectable HCCs larger than 10 cm were treated with hepatic infusion of oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil followed by Lipiodol chemoembolization. The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS). Sixteen-week disease-control rate, time to progression(TTP), and major complications were also studied. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify prognostic factors affecting OS and TTP.RESULTS: A total of 319 procedures were performed in the 132 patients. Eleven(8.3%) patients received radical resection following TACE treatment(median time to initial TACE 4.3 ± 2.3 mo). The median OS and TTP were 10.3 and 3.0 mo respectively, with a 50.0% 16-wk disease-control rate. Major complications were encountered in 6.0%(8/132) of patients following TACE and included serious jaundice in 1.5%(2/132) patients, aleukia in 1.5%(2/132), and hepatic failure in 3.0%(4/132). One patient died within one month due to serious hepatic failure and severe sepsis after receiving the second TACE. 10Microemulsion synthesis and photocatalytic activity of visible light-active BiVO_4 nanoparticles显示文摘A water-in-oil microemulsion made up of a cyclohexane/n-hexyl alcohol/Polyethylene glycol tertoctylphenyl/aqueous solution including Bi3+ and VO+3 ions yields the spherical BiVO4 precursors with the size from 5 to 300 nm. Well-crystallized monoclinic scheelite BiVO4 particles with nanometer or micrometer size are fabricated in control by heating microemulsion precursors under various temperatures. The corresponding nucleation and growth process of as-prepared samples has also been investigated via TEM,which demonstrates the detailed morphological evolution of nuclei inside the precursors. As-prepared BiVO4 photocatalysts exhibit enhanced photocatalytic activity under visible-light irradiation in comparison with the bulk BiVO4 prepared by solid-state reaction. 13Synthesis of Ni_2P promoted trimetallic NiMoW/γ-Al_2O_3 catalysts for diesel oil hydrotreatment显示文摘The Ni2P promoted and γ-Al2O3 supported NiMoW sulfide catalyst consisting of 4 wt% Mo, 22 wt% W, 2 wt% Ni and 2.5 wt% Ni2P was synthesized by a co-impregnation method. The catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption, X-ray diffraction (XRD), diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT) spectroscopy, NH3 temperature-programmed desorption (NH3-TPD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results showed that Ni2P, Ni, Mo and W species were highly dispersed over γ-Al2O3. The hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of dibenzothiophene (DBT) showed that the presence of Ni2P brought a strong promotional effect on the HDS activity, which was further confirmed by the HDS and hydrodenitrogenation (HDN) of diesel oil under industrial conditions. The enhancement in HDN activity and stability by Ni2P addition could be attributed more to the effect of new active sites of Ni2P than that of acidity modification. 15In situ scattering study of multiscale structural evolution during liquid–liquid phase transition in Mg-based metallic glasses显示文摘The glass-forming ability of Mg-Cu-Gd alloys could be significantly promoted with the addition of Ag.A calorimetric anomaly could be observed in the supercooled liquid region of the Mg-Cu-Ag-Gd metallic glass,indicating the occurrence of a liquid-state phase transition driven by entropy.However,the underlying mechanism of the polyamorphous phase transition remains unsettled.In the paper,in situ scattering techniques were employed to reveal multiscale structure evidence in a Mg65Cu15Ag10Gd10metallic glass with an anomalous exothermic peak upon heating.Resistivity measurements indicate a reentrant behavior for the Mg-Cu-Ag-Gd metallic glass in the anomalous exothermic peak temperature region during heating.In situ synchrotron diffraction results revealed that the local atomic structure tends to be ordered and loosely packed first,followed by reentering into the initial state upon heating.Moreover,time-resolved small-angle synchrotron X-ray scattering(SAXS) results show an increase in nanoscale heterogeneity first followed by a reentrant supercooled liquid behavior.A core-shell structure model has been used to fit the SAXS profiles when polyamorphous phase transition occurs.In contrast,there is no structure anomaly for the reference Mg-Cu-Gd alloy system.The detailed multiscale structural evidence suggests the occurrence of a liquid-liquid phase transition followed by a reentrant behavior in the MgCu-Ag-Gd metallic glass.Our results deepen the understanding of the structural origin of the glass-forming ability and shed light on the possibility of tuning the physical and mechanical properties by heat-treatment in the supercooled liquid region of Mg-based metallic glasses.Kang-Hua Li Jia-Cheng Ge Si-Nan Liu Shu Fu Zi-Xuan Yin Wen-Tao Zhang Guo-Xing Chen Shao-Chong Wei Hua Ji Tao Feng Qi Liu Xun-Li Wang Xiao-Bing Zuo Yang Ren Horst Hahn Si Lan 2021Rare Metals2021,40,11:3
16Cyanobacteria-based self-oxygenated photodynamic therapy for anaerobic infection treatment and tissue repair显示文摘Photodynamic therapy(PDT)is an important technique to deal with drug-resistant bacterial infections in the post-antibiotic era.However,the hypoxic environment in intractable infections such as refractory keratitis and periodontitis,makes PDT more difficult.In this work,spontaneous oxygen-producing cyanobacteria were used as the carrier of photosensitizer(Ce6),and ultrasmall Cu_(5.4)O nanoparticles(Cu_(5.4)O USNPs)with catalase activity for infection and inflammation elimination and rapid tissue repair(CeCycn-Cu_(5.4)O).The loading of Ce6 and Cu_(5.4)O USNPs onto cyanobacteria surface were confirmed by transmission electron microscopy,nano particle size analyzer,scanning electron microscopy.In vitro sterilization and biofilm removal experiments demonstrated that the restriction of hypoxic environment to PDT was significantly alleviated due to the oxygen production of cyanobacteria.Under laser irradiation,the close transfer of energy photons to oxygen produced by cyanobacteria reduced more than 90% of Ce6 dosages(660 nm,200 mW/cm^(2),2 min).It is worth mentioning that both rapid sterilization through PDT and long-term oxidized free radicals elimination were achieved by adjusting the ratio of Ce6 and Cu_(5.4)O USNPs.Both periodontitis and refractory keratitis animal models proved the excellent self-oxygenation enhanced antibacterial property and promotion of tissue repair.Bailiang Wang Liyang Zhou Yishun Guo Hanwen Guo Yiming Zhong Xiaomin Huang Yifan Ge Qingying Wang Xiaoying Chu Yingying Jin Kaiyue Lan Mei Yang Jia Qu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,6:3

19Aquaporin-1 Expressed in Cultured Human Trabecular Meshwork Cells显示文摘Objective:To determine if aquaporin-1 could be detected in cultures of human trabecularshwork cells. Methods: Using primers specific for aquaporin-1, reverse transcription combined withpolymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) yielded a product and its size with total RNAprepared from the human trabecular meshwork cells. SDS-PAGE and immunoblottingwere also used in this study to detect the specific water channel.Results: The presence of this product and its size (298 base pairs) are consistent withthat of an aquaporin-1 message in these cells.
