To explore the strategy for controlling traffic congestion, this paper introduces and analyzes some classic car-following models, and gives a systematic review of their developments. Moreover, in order to introduce the approach to analyze the stability, taking the full velocity difference (FVD) model for example, the local and asymptotic stability analysis is discussed, while the corresponding nonlinear analysis is also conducted. | 4 | Experimental investigation of incremental reactivity of di-tert-butyl peroxide显示文摘Large quantities of di-tert-butyl peroxide (DTBP) have been emitted into the troposphere due to human activities. Its role in the atmospheric photochemical reaction has not been understood. This study presents the results of the photochemical reactions of DTBP and NOx, which have been simulated in a self-made smog chamber under the temperature of (29±1)℃. Both the wall decays of ozone and NO2 could be neglected, compared to the results in simulative experiments. The effective intensity of UV light used in the experiments was 1.28×10-3 s-1, which was expressed by the rate constant of NO2 photolysis in purified air. The reaction mechanism was proposed according to our results and reports of other researchers. The maximum values of incremental reactivity (IR) in the three simulative ex- periments were 9.53×10-2, 5.23×10-2 and 3.78×10-2, respectively. The incremental reactivity decreased with the increase of initial concentrations of DTBP. | 5 | Investigation and Analysis of Three Nitrogen Pollution in Groundwater in Ledong, Hainan Province显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to systematically monitor the contents of 'three nitrogen',including ammonia nitrogen (NH4^+-N),nitrate nitrogen (NO3^--N) and nitrite nitrogen (NO2^--N) in groundwater in Ledong and analyze the reasons.[Methods]A total of 30 sampling points were set up in Ledong,including 22 ground waters and 8 surface waters.NO3^--N,NH4^+-N,NO2^--N and pH indicators were detected.[Results]① There is a problem of excessive nitrogen in the groundwater of Ledong,Hainan.NH4^+-N and NO3^--N exceeded the standards severely,and the over-standard rates were 27.27% and 13.64%,respectively.NO2^--N didn't exceed the standard.Among them,the highest concentration of NH4^+-N was up to 2.692 mg/L;and the highest concentration of NO3^--N reached 24.071 mg/L.② The pollution trends of NH4^+-N and NO2^--N in Ledong County were similar,and NO3^--N had no similarity.③ There was a regional difference in the groundwater three nitrogen in Ledong,Hainan.The pollution level near the farmland was greater than that far from the farmland.The pollution level near the farm area was greater than that far from the farm area.In addition,in combination with the layout of the sampling points and the test results,it was not found that the area far from the coastline would be lower than the area near the coastline in the pollution level.④ The main reasons for the excessive nitrogen in the groundwater of Ledong,Hainan are farmland fertilization,random discharge of domestic sewage,discharge of aquaculture wastewater,and discharge of industrial water at will.[Conclusions]This study is of great significance to safe prevention and control of groundwater in Ledong. | Zixi TANG Yongfu ZHANG Lifang ZENG Qiang YUAN Na LI | 2019 | Agricultural Biotechnology2019,8,3: | 5 |

| 7 | Measuring Spatio-temporal Characteristics of City Expansion and Its Driving Forces in Shanghai from 1990 to 2015显示文摘Urbanization has both direct and indirect impacts on land use change, and analyzing spatio-temporal characteristics of land use change is essential for understanding these impacts. By comparing Landsat TM images, this paper examines the changes of land use structure and landscape patterns in Shanghai from 1990 to 2015. It finds that the city doubled in size, with the growth of isolated construction land being most significant among eight land use types. A land use change matrix was established and landscape indices were selected to evaluate the change of spatial structure in Shanghai. In order to identify the main driving forces of city expansion in Shanghai, this research ran partial least square regression models to assess the impact of 10 social-economic factors on land use change of Shanghai from 1990 to 2015. It then conducted bivariate correlation analysis to explore the drivers of change of various land use types: urban settlement, rural settlement and isolated construction land. Besides quantitative analysis, this paper analyzes the influence of policy-dimensional factors in land use change. | 9 | Identification of a novel planthopper resistance gene from wild rice(Oryza rufipogon Griff.)显示文摘Rice planthoppers,including brown planthopper(BPH)and white-backed planthopper(WBPH),are the most destructive pests in Asian rice cultivation regions.Planthopper resistance genes that have been mapped and characterized advance our understanding of underlying resistance mechanisms and facilitate the breeding of resistant varieties,thereby contributing to an efficient pest management strategy.In this study,a novel resistance gene Bph38 derived from the wild rice species Oryza rufipogon Griff.was found to confer high resistance to BPH and WBPH.Conventional mapping was performed to identify regions associated with BPH and WBPH resistance,and two mapping efforts led to the same region on chromosome 4 flanked by markers RM16563 and RM16763.Bulked-segregant analysis and next-generation sequencing were performed using the same population to detect the resistance gene.Conventional mapping narrowed the region to a 12.3-Mb segment,and fine mapping using BC1 F2 recombinants identified a 79-kb segment flanked by markers YM112 and YM190.Near-isogenic lines(NILs)carrying Bph38 in the 9311(indica)and BR54(japonica)genetic backgrounds were developed by crossing and backcrossing with marker-assisted selection.The agronomic traits and BPH and WBPH resistance of the NILs were similar to those of the recurrent parents.Mandatory feeding and host-choice tests revealed that Bph38 showed both antibiotic and antixenotic effects in both insects,with stronger effects in indica-background lines.Further fine mapping and characterization of the major gene may result in map-based cloning of the gene and allow its application in breeding insectresistant rice varieties. | Meng Yang Jiebin Lin Ling Cheng Hailian Zhou Shu Chen Fang Liu Rongbai Li Yongfu Qiu | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,6: | 3 |

| 11 | Nonradical-dominated peroxymonosulfate activation through bimetallic Fe/Mn-loaded hydroxyl-rich biochar for efficient degradation of tetracycline显示文摘Biochar-based transition metal catalysts have been identified as excellent peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activators for producing radicals used to degrade organic pollutants.However,the radical-dominated pathways for PMS activation severely limit their practical applications in the degradation of organic pollutants from wastewater due to side reactions between radicals and the coexisting anions.Herein,bimetallic Fe/Mn-loaded hydroxyl-rich biochar(FeMn-OH-BC)is synthesized to activate PMS through nonradical-dominated pathways.The as-prepared FeMn-OH-BC exhibits excellent catalytic activity for degrading tetracycline at broad pH conditions ranging from 5 to 9,and about 85.0%of tetracycline is removed in 40 min.Experiments on studying the influences of various anions(HCO_(3)^(−),NO_(3)^(−),and H_(2)PO_(4)^(−))show that the inhibiting effect is negligible,suggesting that the FeMn-OHBC based PMS activation is dominated by nonradical pathways.Electron paramagnetic resonance measurements and quenching tests provide direct evidence to confirm that 1O2 is the major reactive oxygen species generated from FeMn-OH-BC based PMS activation.Theoretical calculations further reveal that the FeMn-OH sites in FeMn-OH-BC are dominant active sites for PMS activation,which have higher adsorption energy and stronger oxidative activity towards PMS than OH-BC sites.This work provides a new route for driving PMS activation by biochar-based transition metal catalysts through nonradical pathways. | Yihui Li Deying Lin Yongfu Li Peikun Jiang Xiaobo Fang Bing Yu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 3 |
| 12 | Detection of the interictal epileptic discharges based on wavelet bispectrum interaction and recurrent neural network显示文摘Detection of interictal epileptic discharges(IED) events in the EEG recordings is a critical indicator for detecting and diagnosing epileptic seizures. We propose a key technology to extract the most important features related to epileptic seizures and identifies the IED events based on the interaction between frequencies of EEG with the help of a two-level recurrent neural network. The proposed classification network is trained and validated using the largest publicly available EEG dataset from Temple University Hospital.Experimental results clarified that the interaction between β and β bands, β and γ bands, γ and γ bands,δ and δ bands, θ and α bands, and θ and β bands have a significant effect on detecting the IED discharges.Moreover, the obtained results showed that the proposed technique detects 95.36% of the IED epileptic events with a false-alarm rate of 4.52% and a precision of 87.33% by using only 25 significant features. | 13 | Biochar amendments increase soil organic carbon storage and decrease global warming potentials of soil CH4 and N2O under N addition in a subtropical Moso bamboo plantation显示文摘Background: Nitrogen(N) deposition affects soil greenhouse gas(GHG) emissions, while biochar application reduces GHG emissions in agricultural soils. However, it remains unclear whether biochar amendment can alleviate the promoting effects of N input on GHG emissions in forest soils. Here, we quantify the separate and combined effects of biochar amendment(0, 20, and 40 t·ha) and N addition(0, 30, 60, and 90 kg N·ha·yr) on soil GHG fluxes in a long-term field experiment at a Moso bamboo(Phyllostachys edulis) plantation.Results: Low and moderate N inputs(≤60 kg N·ha·yr) significantly increase mean annual soil carbon dioxide(CO) and nitrous oxide(NO) emissions by 17.0%–25.4% and 29.8%–31.2%, respectively, while decreasing methane(CH) uptake by 12.4%–15.9%, leading to increases in the global warming potential(GWP) of soil CHand NO fluxes by 32.4%–44.0%. Moreover, N addition reduces soil organic carbon(C;SOC) storage by 0.2%–6.5%. Compared to the control treatment, biochar amendment increases mean annual soil CO2emissions, CHuptake, and SOC storage by 18.4%–25.4%, 7.6%–15.8%, and 7.1%–13.4%, respectively, while decreasing NO emissions by 17.6%–19.2%, leading to a GWP decrease of 18.4%–21.4%. Biochar amendments significantly enhance the promoting effects of N addition on soil COemissions, while substantially offsetting the promotion of N2O emissions, inhibition of CHuptake, and decreased SOC storage, resulting in a GWP decrease of 9.1%–30.3%.Additionally, soil COand CHfluxes are significantly and positively correlated with soil microbial biomass C(MBC) and pH.
