| 1 | Isotopic evidence of TSR origin for natural gas bearing high H_2S contents within the Feixianguan Formation of the northeastern Sichuan Basin, southwestern China显示文摘The northeastern area of Sichuan Basin, southwestern China, is the area with the maximal reserve of natural gas containing higher hydrogen sulphide (H2S) that has been found among the petroliferous basins of China, with the proven and controlled gas reserve of more than 200 billion cubic meters. These gas pools, with higher H2S contents averaging 9%, some 17%, are mainly distributed on structural belts of Dukouhe, Tieshanpo, Luojiazhai, Puguang, etc., while the oolitic-shoal dolomite of the Triassic Feixianguan Fm. (T1f) is the reservoir. Although many scholars regard the plentiful accumulation of H2S within the deep carbonate reservoir as the re-sult of Thermochemical Sulfate Reduction (TSR), however, the process of TSR as well as its residual geological and geochemical evidence is still not quite clear. Based on the carbon iso-topic analysis of carbonate strata and secondary calcite, etc., together with the analysis of sulfur isotopes within H2S, sulphur, gypsum, iron pyrites, etc., as well as other aspects including the natural gas composition, carbon isotopes of hydrocarbons reservoir petrology, etc., it has been proved that the above natural gas is a product of TSR. The H2S, sulphur and calcite result from the participation of TSR reactions by hydrocarbon gas. During the process for hydrocarbons be-ing consumed due to TSR, the carbons within the hydrocarbon gas participate in the reactions and finally are transferred into the secondary calcite, and become the carbon source of secon-dary calcite, consequently causing the carbon isotopes of the secondary calcite to be lower (?18.2‰). As for both the intermediate product of TSR, i.e. sulfur, and its final products, i.e. H2S and iron pyrites, their sulfur elements are all sourced from the sulfate within the Feixianguan Fm. During the fractional processes of sulfur isotopes, the bond energy leads to the 32S being re-leased firstly, and the earlier it is released, the lower δ 34S values for the generated sulphide (H2S) or sulfur will be. However, for the anhydrite that participates in reactions, the higher the reaction degree, the more 32S is released, while the less 32S remains and the more δ 34S is increased. | 2 | Origins of High H_2S-bearing Natural Gas in China显示文摘Natural gas containing hydrogen sulphide (H2S) has been found in several petroliferous basins in China, such as the Sichuan Basin, Bohai Bay Basin, Ordos Basin, Tarim Basin, etc. Natural gas with higher H2S contents (H2S >5 % mol.) is mostly distributed in both the gas reservoirs of Dukouhe, Luojiazhai, Puguang and Tieshanpo, which belong to the Triassic Feixianguan Formation in the northeastern Sichuan Basin and those of the Kongdian-Shahejie formations in the northeastern Jinxian Sag of the Jizhong Depression, Bohai Bay Basin. In the Sichuan Basin, the H2S contents of natural gas average over 9% and some can be 17 %, while those of the Bohai Bay Basin range from 40 % to 92 %, being then one of the gas reservoirs with the highest H2S contents in the world. Based on detailed observation and sample analysis results of a total 5000 m of core from over 70 wells in the above-mentioned two basins, especially sulfur isotopic analysis of gypsum, brimstone, pyrite and natural gas, also with integrated study of the geochemical characteristics of hydrocarbons, it is thought that the natural gas with high H2S contents resulted from thermochemical sulfate reduction (TSR) reactions. Among them, the natural gas in the Feixianguan Formation resulted from TSR reactions participated by hydrocarbon gas, while that in the Zhaolanzhuang of the Jinxian Sag being the product of TSR participated by crude oil. | 8 | Preparation of nitrogen doped clews-like carbon materials and their application as the electrode in supercapacitor显示文摘In this work, nitrogen doped clews-like carbon materials were successfully fabricated through hydrothermal polymerization method, followed by post treatment that integrated the carbonization,activation and post-nitrogen doping into one process. This preparation method can form particular hierarchical porous structure without using any sacrificial templates. The experimental results show that the nitrogen doped clews-like hierarchical porous carbon materials possess a relatively high specific surface area of 815 m^2/g with the nitrogen content of 10.58 at%. The electrochemical properties show that the resulting sample delivers 258 F/g at a 0.5 A/g and excellent capacity retention of 79% at 20 A/g. | 14 | Genetic mapping of folate QTLs using a segregated population in maizeFA显示文摘As essential B vitamin for humans, folates accumulation in edible parts of crops, such as maize kernels, Is of great importance for human health. But its breeding is always limited by the prohibitive cost of folate profiling. The molecular breeding is a more executable and efficient way for folate fortification, but is limited by the molecular knowledge of folate regulation. Here we report the genetic mapping of folate quantitative trait loci (QTLs) using a segregated population crossed by two maize lines, one high in folate (GEMS31) and the other low in folate (DAN3130). Two folate QTLs on chromosome 5 were obtained by the combination of F2 whole-exome sequencing and F3 kernel-folate profiling. These two QTLs had been confirmed by bulk segregant analysis using F6 pooled DNA and F7 kernel-folate profiling, and were overlapped with QTLs identified by another segregated population. These two QTLs contributed 41.6% of phenotypic variation of 5-formyltetrahydrofolate, the most abundant storage form among folate derivatives in dry maize grains, in the GEMS31×DAN3130 population. | 16 | Bubble-templated synthesis of nanocatalyst Co/C as NADH oxidase mimic显示文摘Designing highly active nanozymes for various enzymatic reactions remains a challenge in practical applications and fundamental research. In this work, by studying the catalytic functions of natural NADH oxidase(NOX), we devised and synthesized a porous carbon-supported cobalt catalyst(Co/C) to mimic NOX. The Co/C can catalyze dehydrogenation of NADH and transfers electrons to O_(2)to produce H_(2)O_(2).Density functional theory calculations reveal that the Co/C can catalyze O_(2)reduction to H_(2)O_(2)or H;O considerably. The Co/C can also mediate electron transfer from NADH to heme protein cytochrome c,thereby exhibiting cytochrome c reductase-like activity. The Co/C nanoparticles can deplete NADH in cancer cells, induce increase of the reactive oxygen species, lead to impairment of oxidative phosphorylation and decrease in mitochondrial membrane potential, and cause ATP production to be damaged. | 17 | Elevated carbon dioxide stimulates nitrous oxide emission in agricultural soils: A global meta-analysis显示文摘Elevated carbon dioxide (CO_(2))(e CO_(2)) has been shown to affect the nitrous oxide (N_(2)O) emission from terrestrial ecosystems by altering the interaction of plants,soils,and microorganisms.However,the impact of e CO_(2) on the N_(2)O emission from agricultural soils remains poorly understood.This meta-analysis summarizes the effect of e CO_(2) on N_(2)O emission in agricultural ecosystems and soil physiochemical and biological characteristics using 50 publications selected.The e CO_(2) effect values,which equal to the percentage changes of N_(2)O emission under e CO_(2),were calculated based on the natural logarithm of the response ratio to e CO_(2).We found that e CO_(2) significantly increased N_(2)O emission (by 44%),which varied depending on experimental conditions,agricultural practices,and soil properties.In addition,e CO_(2) significantly increased soil water-filled pore space (by 6%),dissolved organic carbon content (by11%),and nitrate nitrogen content (by 13%),but significantly reduced soil p H (by 1%).Moreover,e CO_(2) significantly increased soil microbial biomass carbon(by 28%) and soil microbial biomass nitrogen (by 7%) contents.Additionally,e CO_(2) significantly increased the abundances of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria(AOB) amo A (by 21%),nir K (by 15%),and nir S (by 15%),but did not affect the abundances of ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) amo A and nos Z.Our findings indicate that e CO_(2) substantially stimulates N_(2)O emission in agroecosystems and highlight that optimization of nitrogen management and agronomic options might suppress this stimulation and aid in reducing greenhouse effect. | Yilin DU Xinyu GUO Jinxing LI Yuankun LIU Jipeng LUO Yongchao LIANG Tingqiang LI | 2022 | Pedosphere2022,32,1: | 0 |
