2Reproductive management through integration of PGD and MPS-based noninvasive prenatal screening/diagnosis for a family with GJB2-associated hearing impairment显示文摘A couple with a proband child of GJB2(encoding the gap junction protein connexin 26)-associated hearing impairment and a previous pregnancy miscarriage sought for a reproductive solution to bear a healthy child. Our study aimed to develop a customized preconception-to-neonate care trajectory to fulfill this clinical demand by integrating preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD), noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT), and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis(NIPD) into the strategy. Auditory and genetic diagnosis of the proband child was carried out to identify the disease causative mutations. The couple then received in-vitro-fertilization treatment, and eight embryos were obtained for day 5 biopsy. PGD was performed by short-tandem-repeat linkage analysis and Sanger sequencing of GJB2 gene. Transfer of a GJB2 c.235del C heterozygous embryo resulted in a singleton pregnancy. At the 13 th week of gestation, genomic DNA(g DNA) from the trio family and cell-free DNA(cf DNA) from maternal plasma were obtained for assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2 mutations. NIPT and NIPD showed the absence of chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2-associated disease in the fetus, which was later confirmed by invasive procedures and postnatal genetic/auditory diagnosis. 3Selective removal of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid from water by molecularly-imprinted amino-functionalized silica gel sorbent显示文摘A molecularly-imprinted amino-functionalized sorbent for selective removal of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D) was prepared by a surface imprinting technique in combination with a sol-gel process.The 2,4-D-imprinted amino-functionalized silica sorbent was characterized by FT-IR,nitrogen adsorption and static adsorption experiments.The selectivity of the sorbent was investigated by a batch competitive binding experiment using an aqueous 2,4-D and 2,4-dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP) mixture or using an aqueous 2,4-D and 2,4dichlorophenylacetic acid(DPAC) mixture.The largest selectivity coefficient for 2,4-D in the presence of 2,4-DCP was found to be over 18,the largest relative selectivity coefficient between 2,4-D and 2,4-DCP over 9.The static uptake capacity and selectivity coefficient of the 2,4-D-imprinted functionalized sorbent are higher than those of the non-imprinted sorbent.The imprinted functionalized silica gel sorbent offered a fast kinetics for the extraction/stripping of 2,4-D,73% of binding capacity(200 mg/L 2,4-D onto 20 mg of imprinted sorbent) was obtained within 5 min and the adsorbed 2,4-D can be easily stripped by the mixture solution of ethanol and 6 mol/L HCl(V:V =1:1).In a test of five extraction/stripping cycles,the adsorption capacity of the sorbent was all above 93% of that of the fresh sorbent.Experimental result showed the potential of molecularly-imprinted amino-functionalized sorbent for selective removal of 2,4-D.Deman Han ,Wenping Jia,Huading Liang Department of Chemistry,Taizhou University,Linhai 317000,China. 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,2:11
4Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4)-based nanosized heteroarrays: Promising materials for photoelectrochemical water splitting显示文摘Photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting is recognized as a sustainable strategy for hydrogen generation due to its abundant hydrogen source,utilization of inexhaustible solar energy,high-purity product,and environment-friendly process.To actualize a practical PEC water splitting,it is paramount to develop efficient,stable,safe,and low-cost photoelectrode materials.Recently,graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)has aroused a great interest in the new generation photoelectrode materials because of its unique features,such as suitable band structure for water splitting,a certain range of visible light absorption,nontoxicity,and good stability.Some inherent defects of g-C3N4,however,seriously impair further improvement on PEC performance,including low electronic conductivity,high recombination rate of photogenerated charges,and limited visible light absorption at long wavelength range.Construction of g-C3N4-based nanosized heteroarrays as photoelectrodes has been regarded as a promising strategy to circumvent these inherent limitations and achieve the high-performance PEC water splitting due to the accelerated exciton separation and the reduced combination of photogenerated electrons/holes.Herein,we summarize in detail the latest progress of g-C3N4-based nanosized heteroarrays in PEC water-splitting photoelectrodes.Firstly,the unique advantages of this type of photoelectrodes,including the highly ordered nanoarray architectures and the heterojunctions,are highlighted.Then,different g-C3N4-based nanosized heteroarrays are comprehensively discussed,in terms of their fabrication methods,PEC capacities,and mechanisms,etc.To conclude,the key challenges and possible solutions for future development on g-C3N4-based nanosized heteroarray photoelectrodes are discussed.Liqun Wang Wenping Si Yueyu Tong Feng Hou Daniele Pergolesi Jungang Hou Thomas Lippert Shi Xue Dou Ji Liang 2020Carbon Energy2020,2,2:10
5DNA barcoding of 18 species of Bovidae显示文摘Genetic divergences of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I genes,known as DNA barcodes,have been used in species identification in the animal kingdom.Barcodes can assist field workers and taxonomists to determine groups in need of taxa analysis,and facilitate the recognition of appropriate populations and scales for conservation planning.In this study,18 species of Bovidae were selected to evaluate the effectiveness of DNA barcoding for species differentiation.The results showed that all but 2 species had unique DNA barcodes.The mean intraspecific variation was 0.63%,yielding a threshold of 6.3% for flagging putative species.The results supported the inference that barcode variation within species of mammals is somewhat higher than within other animal groups.The present study validated the effectiveness of barcoding for the identification of bovid species.CAI YanSen ZHANG Liang SHEN FuJun ZHANG WenPing HOU Rong YUE BiSong LI Jing ZHANG ZhiHe 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,2:10

7Expression,structure and function analysis of the sperm-oocyte fusion genes Juno and Izumo1 in sheep(Ovis aries)显示文摘Background:JUNO and IZUMO1 are the first receptor-ligand protein pairs discovered to be essential for spermoocyte fusion;their interaction is indispensable for fertilization.Methods:PCR was used to clone the full-length DNA sequence of the Juno gene in sheep.The single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)loci of Juno were genotyped by Sequenom MassARRAY®.PCR combined with rapid amplification of cDNA Ends were used to clone the full-length cDNA sequence of Juno and Izumo1.Reverse transcriptase-PCR(RT-PCR)and real time-quantitative-PCR(RT-qPCR)were used to analyze the genes’expression in tissues of sheep,and single cell RNA-seq was used to analyze the genes’expression in oocytes,granulosa cells and follicular theca of polytocous and monotocous Small Tail Han ewes.Bioinformatics was used to analyze advanced structure and phylogeny of JUNO and IZUMO1 proteins.Results:The full-length DNA sequence of the Juno gene in sheep was cloned and nine SNPs were screened.We found a significant association between the g.848253 C>A locus of Juno and litter size of Small Tail Han sheep(P<0.05).The full-length cDNA sequence of Juno and Izumo1 genes from Small Tail Han sheep were obtained.We found a new segment of the Izumo1 CDS consisting of 35 bp,and we confirmed the Izumo1 gene has 9 exons,not 8.RT-qPCR showed that Juno and Izumo1 genes were highly expressed in ovarian and testicular tissues,respectively(P<0.01).Single cell RNA-seq showed Juno was specifically expressed in oocytes,but not in granulosa cells or follicular theca,while Izumo1 displayed little to no expression in all three cell types.There was no difference in expression of the Juno gene in oocyte and ovarian tissue in sheep with different litter sizes,indicating expression of Juno is not related to litter size traits.Bioinformatic analysis revealed the g.848253 C>A locus of Juno results in a nonconservative missense point mutation leading to a change from Phe to Leu at position 219 in the amino acid sequence.Conclusions:For the first time,this study systematically analyzed the expression,structure and function of Juno and Izumo1 genes and their encoded proteins in Small Tail Han sheep,providing the basis for future studies of the regulatory mechanisms of Juno and Izumo1 genes.Wenping Hu Xinlong Dong Zhilong Tian Zhuangbiao Zhang Jishun Tang Benmeng Liang Qiuyue Liu Mingxing Chu 2021Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,3:3
8High efficient acetalization of carbonyl compounds with diols catalyzed by novel carbon-based solid strong acid catalyst显示文摘The novel carbon-based acid catalyst has been applied to catalyzing the acetalization and ketalization. The results showed that the catalyst was very efficient with the average yield over 93%. 9Boosting polysulfide redox conversion of Li-S batteries by one-step-synthesized Co-Mo bimetallic nitride显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are considered as one of the most promising next generation energy storage systems due to the high theoretical specific capacity,low cost,and environmental benignity.However,the notorious shuttle effect of polysulfides hinders the practical application of Li-S batteries.Herein,we have rationally designed and synthesized sea urchin-like Co-Mo bimetallic nitride(Co_(3) MO_(3) N)in the absence of additional nitrogen sources with only one step,which was applied as the sulfur host materials for Li-S batteries.The results indicate that Co_(3) Mo_(3) N can efficiently anchor and catalyze the conversion of polysulfides,thus accelerating the electrochemical reaction kinetics and enabling prominent electrochemical properties.As a consequence,the S@Co_(3) Mo_(3) N cathode exhibits a high rate performance of 705 mAh g^(-1) at 3 C rate and an excellent cycling stability with a low capacity fading rate of 0.08%per cycle at 1 C over 600 cycles.Even at a high sulfur loading of 5.4 cmg cm^(-2),it delivers a high initial areal capacity of 4.50 mAh cm^(-2) which is still retained at 3.64 mAh cm^(-2) after 120 cycles.Furthermore,the catalytic mechanism and structural stability of Co_(3) Mo_(3) N during cycling were elucidated by a combination of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray absorption fine structure.This work highlights the strategy of structure-catalysis engineering of bimetallic nitride,which is expected to have a wide application in Li-S batteries.Yingying Yan Hongtai Li Chen Cheng Tianran Yan Wenping Gao Jing Mao Kehua Dai Liang Zhang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:3
10High-temperature tribological behaviors of a Cr-Si co-alloyed layer on TA15 alloy显示文摘A Cr-Si co-alloyed layer was successfully deposited on TA15 alloy by the double glow plasma surface technology to improve its poor wear resistance at elevated temperature.The microstructure,composition,and phase structure of the layer were investigated by SEM,EDS,and XRD.The tribological behaviors of the Cr-Si co-alloyed layer at 20 ℃ and 500 ℃ were analyzed in details.The results indicated that the friction coefficient and wear rate of the Cr-Si coalloyed layer at 20 ℃ and 500 ℃ were much lower than those of the substrate,which was due to higher hardness and superior elastic modulus.This layer may become an approach to effectively improving the wear resistance of TA15 alloy at elevated temperature.Lu Haifeng Miao Qiang Liang Wenping Wang Fang Ding Zheng Xia Jinjiao 2017Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,2:2
11A static-dynamic energy harvester for a self-powered ocean environment monitoring application显示文摘Ocean intelligent buoy is important for ocean environment monitoring.With the increase of requisite sensors and transportable data,a long power supply has become a problem to be solved urgently.In this work,a hybrid nanogenerator integrating triboelectric,piezoelectric,electromagnetic,photovoltaic,and thermotropic units is proposed to maximize ocean ambient energy harvesting,which includes static energy(solar and thermal energy)and dynamic energy(wave energy).Compared with a device with a single energy conversion mechanism,this structural design breaks the limit of harvesting time and natural conditions during the energy harvesting process,thereby increasing the harvested energy.Static energy harvesting is realized by the thermoelectric(TG)and photovoltaic(PV)units located inside the device and the PV unit attached to the device surface.Results show that the maximum open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current are 5 V and 41 mA in the external PV and 1.33 V and 49 mA in the internal PV under 30000 Lux illumination,respectively.The open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current of the TG unit are 5 V and 15 m A,respectively.The core component of the dynamic generation unit is the gimbal used to harvest wave energy by the triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG),piezoelectric generator(PENG),and electromagnetic generator.When the frequency is 2.4 Hz,the maximum peak-to-peak power of the TENG,PENG,and EMG are 0.25,1.58,and 13.8 mW,respectively.Finally,an intelligent ocean buoy is fabricated by the integration of an energy harvester,a power management circuit,sensors,a microcontroller,and a wireless communication module.Driven by static and dynamic energy,temperature signal,humidity signal,GPS signal,and sound signal are sent to the receiving terminal wirelessly.The ocean energy harvester proposed in this work is of great significance for ocean energy harvesting and ocean wireless monitoring systems.XUE Feng CHEN Liang LI ChunCheng REN Jing YU JunBin HOU XiaoJuan GENG WenPing MU JiLiang HE Jian CHOU XiuJian 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,4:2
12Ultrathin Ni_(x)Co_(y)-silicate nanosheets natively anchored on CNTs films for flexible lithium ion batteries显示文摘The rapid development of portable and wearable electronics has called for novel flexible electrodes with superior performance.The development of flexible electrode materials with excellent mechanical and electrochemical properties has become one of the key factors for this goal.Here,a Ni_(x)Co_(y)-silicate@CNTs film is developed as a flexible anode for lithium ion batteries(LIBs).On this film,Ni_(x)Co_(y)-silicate nanosheets are firmly and intimately anchored on the surface of CNTs,which have a 3D network structure and link the adjacent nanosheets together.Benefitted from this,the composite film is not only sufficient to withstand various deformations due to its excellent flexibility but also has excellent electrochemical properties,in terms of high reversible capacity of 1047 mAh g^(-1) at 0.1 A g^(-1) as well as a high rate and cycling performance(capacity retention up to 78.13% after 140 cycles).The pouch-type full flexible LIB using this material can stably operate under various bending conditions,showing the great potential of this 3 D Ni_(x)Co_(y)-silicate@CNTs film for flexible energy storage devices with high durability.Wenlei Guo Wenping Si Tao Zhang Yonghuan Han Lei Wang Ziyue Zhou Pengyi Lu Feng Hou Ji Liang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:2
13A flexible CNT@nickel silicate composite film for high-performance sodium storage显示文摘Due to the sufficient ion diffusion channels provided by the large interlayer spacing, layered silicates are widely considered as potential anode materials for lithium ion and sodium ion batteries. However, due to the poor electronic conductivity, the application of layered silicates for electrochemical energy storage has been greatly limited. Carbon nanotube(CNT) film has excellent electrical conductivity and a unique interconnected network, making it an ideal matrix for composite electrochemical material. We herein report a CNT@nickel silicate composite film(CNT@NiSiO) fabricated by a SiO2-mediated hydrothermal conversion process, for sodium storage with excellent electrochemical properties. The obtained composite possesses a cladding structure with homogeneous nanosheets as the outermost and CNT film as the inner network matrix, providing abundant ion diffusion channels, high electronic conductivity, and good mechanical flexibility. Due to these merits, this material possesses an excellent electrochemical performance for sodium storage, including a high specific capacity up to 390 mAh g-1 at 50 mA g-1, good rate performance up to 205 mAh g-1 at 500 mA g-1, and excellent cycling stability. 15Lightweight Design of Spaceborne CFRP Rigid Antenna Reflector显示文摘In order to overcome the shortcoming of space-borne rigid antenna reflector made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP)skins with aluminum honeycomb sandwich(SAHS)structure,a new type of full CFRP skin plus rib(SPR)structure ring-focused parabolic surface antenna reflector with the size of 2.5 m×1.9 m is designed.Under the condition that the original caliber,surface type,and interface remain unchanged,the main influence factors are designed and controlled.First,from the perspective of high stiffness,lightweight,and easy to form,a finite element simulation software is used to analyze and optimize the layout of the rib,the cross-sectional shape of the rib,the size of the rib,and the matching of the size and the coefficients of thermal expansion(CTEs)of the rib and the skin.Second,two structures are prepared by the autoclave molding process.Third,the weight and the surface precision root mean square(RMS)value are measured.The results show that the fundamental frequency of the SPR structure is 142.2 Hz,which is 3.5 Hz higher;the number of the new structural parts is reduced by 40%,and the forming process is greatly simplified.The total weight of the new structure is 11.9 kg,lighter 42.5%,indicating that the weight loss is obvious.The RMS value is 0.15 mm,which is slightly lower 0.01 mm but satisfies the accuracy requirement not greater than 0.3 mm.It is proved that the SPR structure reflector is a superior structure of the lightweight spaceborne antenna reflector.ZHOU Tao LIANG Yanmin WU Wenping WU Xinrui YE Zhoujun DONG Bin 2022上海航天(中英文)2022,39,1:1

17Dual-modification of manganese oxide by heterostructure and cation pre-intercalation for high-rate and stable zinc-ion storage显示文摘Zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)possess great advantages in terms of high safety and low cost,and are regarded as promising alternatives to lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,limited by the electrochemical kinetics and structural stability of the typical cathode materials,it is still difficult to simultaneously achieve high rates and high cycling stability for ZIBs.Herein,we present a manganese oxide(Sn_(x)Mn O_(2)/Sn O_(2))material that is dual-modified by Sn O_(2)/Mn O_(2)heterostructures and pre-intercalated Sn;cations as the cathode material for ZIBs.Such modification provides sufficient hetero-interfaces and expanded interlayer spacing in the material,which greatly facilitates the insertion/extraction of Zn^(2+).Meanwhile,the“structural pillars”of Sn^(4+) cations and the“pinning effect”of SnO_(2)also structurally stabilizes the Mn O_(2)species during the repeated Zn^(2+) insertion/extraction,leading to ultra-high cycling stability.Due to these merits,the Sn_(x)MnO_(2)/SnO_(2)cathode exhibits a high reversible capacity of 316.1 m Ah g^(-1) at 0.3 A g^(-1),superior rate capability of 179.4 m Ah g^(-1) at 2 A g^(-1),and 92.4%capacity retention after 2000 cycles.Consequently,this work would provide a promising yet efficient strategy by combining heterostructures and cations preintercalation to obtain high-performance cathodes for ZIBs.Song Wang Weibing Ma Zhiyuan Sang Feng Hou Wenping Si Jingdong Guo Ji Liang De'an Yang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,4:1

20Improving a PenmanMonteith evapotranspiration model by incorporating soil moisture control on soil evaporation in semiarid areas显示文摘PenmanMonteith(PM)theory has been successfully applied to calculate land surface evapotranspiration(ET)for regional and global scales.However,soil surface resistance,related to soil moisture,is always difficult to determine over a large region,especially in arid or semiarid areas.In this study,we developed an ET estimation algorithm by incorporating soil moisture control,a soil moisture index(SMI)derived from the surface temperature and vegetation index space.We denoted this ET algorithm as the PM-SMI.The PM-SMI algorithm was compared with several other algorithms that calculated soil evaporation using relative humidity,and validated with Bowen ratio measurements at seven sites in the Southern Great Plain(SGP)that were covered by grassland and cropland with low vegetation cover,as well as at three eddy covariance sites from AmeriFlux covered by forest with high vegetation cover.The results show that in comparison with the other methods examined,the PM-SMI algorithm significantly improved the daily ET estimates at SGP sites with a root mean square error(RMSE)of 0.91 mm/d,bias of 0.33 mm/d,and R^(2) of 0.77.For three forest sites,the PM-SMI ET estimates are closer to the ET measurements during the non-growing season when compared with the other three algorithms.At all the 10 validation sites,the PMSMI algorithm performed the best.PM-SMI 8-day ET estimates were also compared with MODIS 8-day ET products(MOD16A2),and the latter showed negligible bias at SGP sites.In contrast,most of the PM-SMI 8-day ET estimates are around the 1:1 line.Liang Sun Shunlin Liang Wenping Yuan Zhongxin Chen 2013International Journal of Digital Earth2013,6,S01:1
