1Neoproterozoic magmatism in eastern Himalayan terrane显示文摘Geochronological investigation on gneisses of granitic to leucogranitic compositions in Cuona,south Tibet,reveal that their protoliths formed at 808.8 ± 7.9-816.4 ± 3.4 Ma and 855.8 ± 7.0 Ma,respectively.Zircon rims from the granitic gneiss record a metamorphic age of 739.4 ± 4.3 Ma.Lu-Hf isotopic analyses on zircon grains with Neoproterozoic ages yield negative ε_(Hf)(t) values from-9.0 to-4.2,and the corresponding two-stage Hf model ages are 1965-2228 Ma.Whole-rock geochemical data indicate that all granitic gneisses are K-riched calc-alkali series.These new data together with literature data show that(1) the Himalayan terrane experienced an episode of Neoproterozoic magmatism at 850-800 Ma;(2) the Neoproterozoic magma of granitic compositions were derived from partial melting of ancient crusts,possibly due to the thermal perturbation related with the breakup of the Rodinia supercontinent.Yuhua Wang Lingsen Zeng Li-E Gao Chunli Guo Kejun Hou Lifei Zhang Wei Wang Huiyi Sun 2017Science Bulletin2017,62,6:5
2Water in coesite: Incorporation mechanism and operation condition,solubility and P-T dependence, and contribution to water transport and coesite preservation显示文摘A series of coesite,coexisting with or without a liquid phase,was synthesized in the nominal system SiO2-H2O at800-1450℃and 5 GPa.Micro-Raman spectroscopy was used to identity the crystalline phase,electron microprobe and LA-ICP-MS were employed to quantity some major and trace elements,and unpolarized FTIR spectroscopy was applied to probe the different types of hydrogen defects,explore water-incorporation mechanisms and quantify water contents.Trace amounts of A1 and B were detected in the coesite.Combining our results with the results in the literatures,we have found no positive correlation between the Al contents and the'Al'-based hydrogen concentrations,suggesting that previously proposed hydrogen-incorporation mechanism H^++Al^3+■Si^4+does not function in coesite.In contrast,we have confirmed the positive correlation between the B contents and the B-based hydrogen concentrations.The hydrogen-incorporation mechanism H^++B3^+■Si^4+readily takes place in coesite at different P-T conditions,and significantly increases the water content at both liquid-saturated and liquid-undersaturated conditions.For the SiO2-H2O system,we have found that type-Ⅰhydrogarnet substitution plays a dictating role in incorporating water into coesite at liquid-saturated condition,type-II hydrogarnet substitution contributes significantly at nearly dry condition,and both operate at conditions in between.The water solubility of coesite,as dictated by the type-Ⅰhydrogarnet substitution,positively correlates with both P and T,cH2O=-105(30)+5.2(32)×P+0.112(26)×T,with cH2O in wt ppm,P in GPa and T in℃.Due to its low water solubility and small fraction in subducted slabs,coesite may contribute insignificantly to the vertical water transport in subduction zones.Furthermore,the water solubility of any coesite in exhuming ultra-high pressure metamorphic rocks should be virtually zero as coesite becomes metastable.With an adequately fast waterdiffusion rate,this metastable coesite should be completely dry,which may have been the key factor to the partial preservation of most natural Coe.As a byproduct,a new IR experimental protocol for accurate water determination in optically anisotropic nominally anhydrous minerals has been found.Aided with the empirical method of Paterson(1982)it employs multiple unpolarized IR spectra,collected from randomly-orientated mineral grains,to approximate both total integrated absorbance and total integrated molar absorption coefficient.Its success relies on a high-level orientation randomness in the IR analyses.Wei Yan Yanyao Zhang Yunlu Ma Mingyue He Lifei Zhang Weidong Sun Christina Yan Wang Xi Liu 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,1:3
3Rutile to Titanite Transformation in Eclogites and its Geochemical Consequences:An Example from the Sumdo Eclogite,Tibet显示文摘The formation of titanite coronae after rutile is common in retrograde high-to ultrahigh-pressure meta-mafic rocks,which provides a good opportunity to address the geochemical behavior of HFSE in crustal environments.In the Sumdo eclogite,titanite occurs either as a corona around rutile grains or as semi-continuous veins cross-cutting the major foliation,whereas rutile grains occur either as inclusions in garnet or omphacite or as a relict core surrounded by titanite.Textural relationships and trace elements characteristics of rutile and titanite with different occurrences indicate that both minerals preferentially incorporate Nb and Hf over Ta and Zr in aqueous fluid.Moreover,the breakdown of omphacite and epidote could release substantial amounts of aqueous fluids enriched in Ca,Si,Fe and REE,which would react with rutile to form titanite coronae and veins.During this process,water-insoluble elements,like HFSE and HREE,behave like mobile elements,but they do not migrate substantially out of the system,instead,tending to react in situ.This suggests that the aqueous fluids released during the retrograde metamorphic reactions in mafic rocks could not substantially transfer fluidimmobile elements into the overlying mantle wedge in subduction environments.ZHAO Linghao ZENG Lingsen GAO Li’e HU Mingyue SUN Dongyang ZHANG Lifei 2023Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,1:2
4Metallic and ferromagnetic MoS2 nanobelts with vertically aligned edges显示文摘Edge effects are predicted to significantly impact the properties of low dimensional materials with layered structures. The synthesis of low dimensional materials with copious edges is desired for exploring the effects of edges on the band structure and properties of these materials. Here we developed an approach for synthesizing MoS2 nanobelts terminated with vertically aligned edges by sulfurizing hydrothermally synthesized MoO3 nanobelts in the gas phase through a kinetically driven process; we then investigated the electrical and magnetic properties of these metastable materials. These edge-terminated MoS2 nanobelts were found to be metallic and ferromagnetic, and thus dramatically different from the semiconducting and nonmagnetic two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) 2H-MoS2 materials. The transitions in electrical and magnetic properties elucidate the fact that edges can tune the properties of low dimensional materials. 7Growth of single-walled carbon nanotubes from Ag15 cluster catalysts显示文摘Chirality-specific growth of single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs) remains a challenge for their practical applications in electronics. Here, we explored the surface growth of SWNTs by utilizing the atomic-precise silver cluster complex [Ag_(15){1,3,5–(C:C)_3–C_6H_3}_2(Py[8])_3–(CF_3SO_3)_3](CF_3SO_3)_6(Py[8] is abbreviation for octamethylazacalix[8]pyridine) as a catalyst precursor. The diameters of most acquired SWNTs distributed in the range of 1.2–1.4 nm, which is suitable for making high performance field-effect transistors. The high quality of the obtained SWNTs was evidenced by Raman spectroscopy and electrical measurements. 9The Origin of the Early Proterozoic Kuandian Complex: Evidence from Geochemistry显示文摘The Kuandian Complex is scarcely preserved Early Proterozoic volcanic suite, formed2.3-2.4 Ga ago. It is located in an Early Proterozoic mobile belt bounded by the ArchaeanRangrim and Ryonggang Blocks of the northeastern Sino-Korean Craton. The Complex ismainly made up of amphibolites, gneisses, leucoleptite, leptite and layered granite. Petrologicaland geochemical studies show that the protoliths of the Complex are mainly assoctations ofbimodal volcanics and anorogenic granites. The Kuandian amphibolites are depleted in Nb, Ta,P and Ti, and enriched in LILE, e.g. K, Rb and Cs, with pronounced depletion of Sr relative toNd and Pb; La/Nb ratios are higher than 1(1.75 to 5.18). The trace element patterns of theamphibolites are similar to continental flood basalts formed by the Gondwana break-up, suchas those in South Karoo and Tasmania, which shows continental contamination. εNd valuesranging from 0.70 to 1.94 of the Kuandian amphibolites and the relationships between Nb/Yband La/Yb suggest that contamination of basaltic magma happened in the mantle, rather thanalong the conduit. Isotope ratios of 208Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/ 204Pb, 206Pb/204Pb, 143Nd/144Ndand 87Sr/86Sr indicate that the magma was derived from a contaminated mantle source likeDMM or a mixture of DMM and EM2. The Kuandian Complex has Dupal anomaly, as is thecase with some continental basalts in the south hemisphere, e.g. in South Karoo and Tasmania.Petrochemical modelling proposes that the Kuandian gneiss, granite, and amphibolite camefrom the same parental magma, being products of strong fractional crystallization. Protoliths ofthe Kuandian Complex were formed in extensional tectonic setting during the transition fromcontinental crust to oceanic crust. The formation of the Kuandian Complex indicates that 2.3or 2.4 Ga ago tectonic evolution of the Sino-Korean craton was different from that of otherwell-studied Precambrian cratons, e.g. the North American shield, European platform andAustralian continent in that strong volcanic eruption resulted in its accretion. 12Identification of Susceptibility Genes Loci Associated with Type 2 Diabetes显示文摘In this study, we selected 10 susceptible SNPs loci to investigate their contribution to susceptibility to type 2 diabetes in Han Chinese among Hubei population. We genotyped SNPs rs5219, rs1801282, rs1470579, rs1111875, rs1081661, rs7754840, rs4506565, rs13266634, rs4402960, and rs5643981 by using the method of polymerase chain reaction-ligase detection reaction (PCR-LDR). In a case-control study, we have genotyped the 10 candidate susceptibility SNP loci, and here, we reported that the SNP rs5219 in KCNJ11 was strongly associated with type 2 diabetes in Han Chinese in Hubei China. There were significant differences in the TT genotype frequency (OR=1.6, 95%CI 1.1-2.3, p=0.01) and T allele frequency (OR=1.3, 95%CI 1.1-1.6, p=0.03) of SNP rs5219 between cases and controls. The other nine SNP loci did not show significant association with type 2 diabetes in Han Chinese in Hubei. 13Responses of soil microbial communities to freeze–thaw cycles in a Chinese temperate forest显示文摘Background:Freeze–thaw events are common in boreal and temperate forest ecosystems and are increasingly infuenced by climate warming.Soil microorganisms play an important role in maintaining ecosystem stability,but their responses to freeze–thaw cycles(FTCs)are poorly understood.We conducted a feld freeze–thaw experiment in a natural Korean pine and broadleaf mixed forest in the Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve,China,to determine the dynamic responses of soil microbial communities to FTCs.Results:Bacteria were more sensitive than fungi to FTCs.Fungal biomass,diversity and community composition were not signifcantly afected by freeze–thaw regardless of the stage.Moderate initial freeze–thaw resulted in increased bacterial biomass,diversity,and copiotrophic taxa abundance.Subsequent FTCs reduced the bacterial biomass and diversity.Compared with the initial FTC,subsequent FTCs exerted an opposite efect on the direction of change in the composition and function of the bacterial community.Soil water content,dissolved organic carbon,ammonium nitrogen,and total dissolved phosphorus were important factors determining bacterial community diversity and composition during FTCs.Moreover,the functional potentials of the microbial community involved in C and N cycling were also afected by FTCs.Conclusions:Diferent stages of FTCs have diferent ecological efects on the soil environment and microbial activities.Soil FTCs changed the soil nutrients and water availability and then mainly infuenced bacterial community composition,diversity,and functional potentials,which may disturb C and N states in this temperate forest soil.This study also improves our understanding of microbial communities regulating their ecological functions in response to climate change.Changpeng Sang Zongwei Xia Lifei Sun Hao Sun Ping Jiang Chao Wang Edith Bai 2021Ecological Processes2021,10,1:1
14Evaluation of SRAP markers efficiency in genetic diversity of Aspergillus flavus from peanut-cropped soils in China显示文摘In order to evaluation the efficiency of SRAP markers on genetic diversity of Aspergillus flavus,we screened out 17sets of primer pairs which could produce clear and reproducible SRAP bands from 150 SRAP primer pairs.The size of SRAP fragments ranged from 120 to 2100 bp.Primer pair Me10/Em9 produced the maximum number of polymorphic bands(12 bands),while Me8/Em13 produced the fewest number of polymorphic bands(only 1).Through analysis genetic diversity ability of different sets of primer pairs,the set of 12 primer pairs was selected for SRAP genetic marker of A.flavus.Cluster analysis was performed based on the genetic similarity coefficients,which ranged from 0.53 to 0.89.A dendrogram assembled using the unweighted pair-group method with arithmetic averages grouped A.flavus samples into 5 main clusters.The results suggested that SRAP marker is a useful molecular technology for the diversity of A.flavus from peanut soils in China.Chushu Zhang Lifei Zhu Mian Wang Yueyi Tang Haixiang Zhou Qi Sun Qiang Yu Jiancheng Zhang 2022Oil Crop Science2022,7,3:0

18Carboxylated carbon nanotubes with high electrocatalytic activity for oxygen evolution in acidic conditions显示文摘Since most electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OER),except for precious metal oxides RuO_(2) and IrO_(2),are unstable in harsh acidic solutions,it is highly desirable to develop high-performance OER electrocatalysts for acidic media,though it is still a big challenge.Herein,we report a simple strategy to produce carboxyl-enriched multiwalled carbon nanotubes(COOH-MWNTs)that exhibit stable and high electrocatalytic activities for OER in acidic solutions,showing an overpotential at a current density of 10 mA cm^(–2) and a Tafel slope as low as of 265 mV and 82 mV dec^(–1),respectively.As far as we are aware,these results represent the best OER performance for metal-free electrocatalysts,even comparable to those of RuO_(2) and IrO_(2).We have further revealed the catalytic mechanism,which involves one electron lose from the COOH-MWNTs catalyst at the beginning of the OER process to trigger H_(2)O molecule oxidation by forming peralcohol,followed by the recapture of one electron from water molecule to oxidize water and to recover the initial state for the COOH-MWNTs catalyst.The unravel of this new OER mechanism is important as it provides new insights into the crucial role of organic functional groups in electrocatalytic processes.Also,the mechanistic understanding can be used to guide the design and development of novel metalfree catalysts for acidic OER electrocatalysis and beyond.Xin Zhang Wenqing Zhang Jianying Dai Mingzi Sun Jun Zhao Lifei Ji Lin Chen Fanlong Zeng Fengchun Yang Bolong Huang Liming Dai 2022InfoMat2022,4,1:0
19A DnaA-dependent riboswitch for transcription attenuation of the his operon显示文摘Transcription attenuation in response to the availability of a specific amino acid is believed to be controlled by alternative configurations of RNA secondary structures that lead to the arrest of translation or the release of the arrested ribosome from the leader mRNA molecule.In this study,we first report a possible example of the DnaA‐dependent riboswitch for transcription attenuation in Escherichia coli.We show that(i)DnaA regulates the transcription of the structural genes but not that of the leader hisL gene;(ii)DnaA might bind to rDnaA boxes present in the HisL‐SL RNA,and subsequently attenuate the transcription of the operon;(iii)the HisL‐SL RNA and rDnaA boxes are phylogenetically conserved and evolutionarily important;and(iv)the translating ribosome is required for deattenuation of the his operon,whereas tRNA^(His) strengthens attenuation.This mechanism seems to be phylogenetically conserved in Gram‐negative bacteria and evolutionarily important.Yuan Yao Hongwei Sun Wurihan Gegeheng Gezi Kirsten Skarstad Lifei Fan Morigen 2023mLife2023,2,2:0
