| 2 | A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. | 4 | Profiling kidney microRNAs from juvenile grass carp(Ctenopharyngodon idella) after 56 days of oral exposure to decabromodiphenyl ethane显示文摘Grass carp(Ctenopharyngodon idella) is one of the most important species in China.Decabromodiphenyl ethane(DBDPE) is a brominated flame retardant that has been used widely in industry, and has been observed to accumulate in the tissues of fish from South China. Evidence has shown that DBDPE is toxic to aquatic animals, but the molecular response has been unclear. MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are small noncoding and negative regulatory RNAs that are 20–24 nucleotides in length, which are involved in a wide range of biological processes. We took advantage of deep-sequencing techniques to accurately and comprehensively profile the kidney mi RNA expression of grass carp after 8 weeks of oral exposure to DBDPE. After mapping sequencing data to the genome and Expressed Sequence Tags(ESTs) of grass carp, we identified 493 miRNAs in the sequenced grass carp samples, which included 51 new miRNAs. The results indicated that 5 miRNAs were significantly down-regulated and 36 miRNAs were significantly up-regulated(FDR < 0.001,1.5-fold change) after DBDPE exposure. Real-time quantitative PCR(RT-q PCR) was performed on 4 miRNAs from the two samples, and the sequencing and RT-q PCR data were consistent. | 7 | MOF-Like 3D Graphene-Based Catalytic Membrane Fabricated by One-Step Laser Scribing for Robust Water Purification and Green Energy Production显示文摘Increasing both clean water and green energy demands for survival and development are the grand challenges of our age.Here,we successfully fabricate a novel multifunctional 3D graphene-based catalytic membrane(3D-GCM)with active metal nanoparticles(AMNs)loading for simultaneously obtaining the water purification and clean energy generation,via a“green”one-step laser scribing technology.The as-prepared 3D-GCM shows high porosity and uniform distribution with AMNs,which exhibits high permeated fluxes(over 100 L m^(−2) h^(−1))and versatile super-adsorption capacities for the removal of tricky organic pollutants from wastewater under ultra-low pressure-driving(0.1 bar).After adsorption saturating,the AMNs in 3D-GCM actuates the advanced oxidization process to self-clean the fouled membrane via the catalysis,and restores the adsorption capacity well for the next time membrane separation.Most importantly,the 3D-GCM with the welding of laser scribing overcomes the lateral shear force damaging during the long-term separation.Moreover,the 3D-GCM could emit plentiful of hot electrons from AMNs under light irradiation,realizing the membrane catalytic hydrolysis reactions for hydrogen energy generation.This“green”precision manufacturing with laser scribing technology provides a feasible technology to fabricate high-efficient and robust 3D-GCM microreactor in the tricky wastewater purification and sustainable clean energy production as well. | Xinyu Huang Liheng Li Shuaifei Zhao Lei Tong Zheng Li Zhuiri Peng Runfeng Lin Li Zhou Chang Peng Kan-Hao Xue Lijuan Chen Gary J.Cheng Zhu Xiong Lei Ye | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,11: | 2 |
| 8 | Clinical effects of acupuncture therapy for vascular dementia显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate clinical acupuncture treatment studies for vascular dementia,as well as to collect high-quality evidence related to clinical acupuncture treatment for clinical diagnosis.DATA SOURCES:PubMed database(1966-2010),Embase database(1986-2010),Cochrane Library(Issue 1,2010),Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(1979-2010),China HowNet database(1979-2010),VIP Journals Database(1989-2010),and Wanfang database(1998-2010) were analyzed by computer.DATA SELECTION:Any form of acupuncture(needles,electro-acupuncture,laser acupuncture,pointer,or ear acupuncture),as well as blank,placebo,Western medicine,acupuncture therapy combined with other therapies,and randomized or quasi-randomized controlled studies were included.The priority was given to high-quality randomized,controlled trials.Data were independently extracted from two reviewers and cross-checked in accordance with high to low standards utilizing evidence-based medicine to answer five relevant clinical questions.Statistical outcome indicators were measured using RevMan 5.0.20 software,such as overall function,Hasegawa Dementia Scale score,Functional Activities Questionnaire score,Mini Mental State Examination,and efficacy of daily living activities.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The present study assessed standards of efficacy,including Hasegawa Dementia Scale score,Functional Activities Questionnaire score,Mini Mental State Examination,and efficacy of daily living activities.RESULTS:A total of 11 articles were included,including one with systematic reviews/meta-analysis,one with Cochrane A level,eight with Cochrane B level,and one with Cochrane C level evidence.Acupuncture resulting in improved overall function and cognitive function was superior than Western medicine.A system evaluation showed the following:weighted mean difference(WMD) = 5.64,95% confidence interval(CI):2.87-11.09,P < 0.01;WMD = 6.07,95% CI:3.76-8.38,P < 0.01.Two articles with Class B evidences revealed efficacy at different aspects of acupuncture and moxibustion,which was superior to the conventional body acupuncture group(risk ratio(RR) = 0.03,95% CI:0.01-0.18,P < 0.01;RR = 0.05,95% CI:0.07-0.13,P < 0.05).One A-level evidence study demonstrated that acupuncture improved mental state,daily living activities,and efficacy and effect of cognitive aspects,which was superior to the drug group [cognitive effects(RR = 5.92,95% CI:2.66-13.16,P < 0.01);activities of daily living efficacy(RR = 3.00,95% CI:1.57-5.75,P < 0.01)].The Mini Mental State Examination score resulted in the following:WMD = 3.85,95% CI:1.63-6.07,P < 0.01.One B-grade evidence article revealed that laser irradiation combined with electro-acupuncture was more effective than simple drug treatment(RR = 10.43,95% CI:1.22-89.46,P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:The inclusion of limited clinical studies has verified the efficacy of acupuncture in vascular dementia treatment.Acupuncture or its combination with Chinese herbs provides certain advantages,but most clinical studies have a small sample size.Large sample size,randomized,controlled trials are needed in the future for more definitive results. | Zhao, Lei Guo, Yi Xiong, Jun Wang, Wei Du, Yuanhao Yan, Lijuan | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,3: | 2 |

| 20 | Regeneration of immunocompetent B lymphopoiesis from pluripotent stem cells guided by transcription factors显示文摘Regeneration of functional B lymphopoiesis from pluripotent stem cells(PSCs)is challenging,and reliable methods have not been developed.Here,we unveiled the guiding role of three essential factors,Lhx2,Hoxa9,and Runx1,the simultaneous expression of which preferentially drives B lineage fate commitment and in vivo B lymphopoiesis using PSCs as a cell source.In the presence of Lhx2,Hoxa9,and Runx1 expression,PSC-derived induced hematopoietic progenitors(iHPCs)immediately gave rise to pro/pre-B cells in recipient bone marrow,which were able to further differentiate into entire B cell lineages,including innate B-1a,B-1b,and marginal zone B cells,as well as adaptive follicular B cells.In particular,the regenerative B cells produced adaptive humoral immune responses,sustained antigen-specific antibody production,and formed immune memory in response to antigen challenges.The regenerative B cells showed natural B cell development patterns of immunoglobulin chain switching and hypermutation via cross-talk with host T follicular helper cells,which eventually formed T cell-dependent humoral responses.This study exhibits de novo evidence that B lymphopoiesis can be regenerated from PSCs via an HSC-independent approach,which provides insights into treating B cell-related deficiencies using PSCs as an unlimited cell resource. | Qi Zhang Bingyan Wu Qitong Weng Fangxiao Hu Yunqing Lin Chengxiang Xia Huan Peng Yao Wang Xiaofei Liu Lijuan Liu Jiapin Xiong Yang Geng Yalan Zhao Mengyun Zhang Juan Du Jinyong Wang | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,4: | 0 |
