2The five major autoimmune diseases increase the risk of cancer:epidemiological data froma large-scale cohort study in China显示文摘Background:Cancer incidence and mortality have received critical attention during the long-term management of morbidities in patients with autoimmune diseases(AIDs).This study aimed to investigate and compare the risk of cancer associated with five major AIDs in a large-scale Chinese cohort.Methods:A total of 8,120 AID patients consecutively admitted to a national tertiary referral center in China were included and followed-up for 38,726.55 patient-years,including those with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),rheumatoid arthritis(RA),Sjoren’s syndrome(SS),systemic scleroderma(SSc),and idiopathic inflammatory myositis(IIM).Demographic data,cancer incidence,predilecting sites and cancer onset time were recorded and compared among the five AIDs.Results:Four hundred and thirty(5.3%)patients developed cancer.Their median agewas 57.5 years and AID durationwas 79.8 months.The estimated total standardized incidence ratio(SIR)of cancer in AIDs patients was 3.37,with the highest SIR observed in IIM(4.31),followed by RA(3.99),SSc(3.77),SS(2.88)and SLE(2.58).The increased SIR of cancers in AID patients showed a female predominance(female vs.male:3.59 vs.2.77)and younger patient involvement(age<50 vs.≥50 years:4.88 vs.3.04).Patientswith SLE had increased SIRs for developing hematologic malignancies and solid tumors located in the urinary bladder,corpus uteri and cervix uteri.Patients with SS had a significantly high SIR for developing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.Within 3 years of IIM diagnosis,74.6%of the patients developed cancer and they had a high risk of ovarian cancer.RA was associated with a wide distribution of scancers,including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma,gynecologic,urinary tract,thyroid gland and lung cancers.SSc patients had increased SIRs for developing cervical uterine,lung,and breast cancers.Conclusion:Patients with five major AIDs in China had an increased risk of developing cancer,with a predominance in women and younger patients,although cancer incidence,predilection sites and cancer onset time may vary greatly in each AID entity.Ziyue Zhou Huazhen Liu Yiying Yang Jingya Zhou Lidan Zhao Hua Chen Yunyun Fei Wen Zhang Mengtao Li Yan Zhao Xiaofeng Zeng Fengchun Zhang Huaxia Yang Xuan Zhang 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,5:4

5The impact of biofuel plantation on biodiversity: a review显示文摘Because plants convert solar energy into chemical energy stored in organisms, biomass production as an energy source can help to reduce the world's reliance on fossil energy and mitigate global warming. Biofuel production is a fast-growing industry that represents a new type of large-scale human disturbance on ecosystems. Thus, the benefits of biofuel production bring environmental risks that include its potential impact on biodiversity, which is still an open question. In this review, we start first with a brief overview of the evolution of biofuel concept; second, we review the state of biofuel production across the continents,with a major emphasis on the main species used and their major feedstock. For which, we found significant differences for land use and environmental cultural management of biofuel plantation between tropical and temperate regions.Third, we summarize the impacts of biofuel plantation on biodiversity at multiple scales, based on the case studied with respect to the corresponding issues. At the genetic level,introgression and contamination by aggressive genotypes are a primary risk. At the species level, habitat pollution, degradation, and disturbance caused by intensive managementof biofuel plantation significantly raise the risk of habitat fragmentation, native extinction, and bio-invasion. At the ecosystem level, the large-scale homogeneous landscape of biofuel plantation results in simplified community and food web that severely damage ecosystem services, including ecosystem diversity. Finally, we compare the current and potential benefits and risks of biofuel plantations for the practical application of a biofuel industry of China. 16Fluid Inclusion and Carbon-Oxygen Isotope Studies of the Hujiayu Cu Deposit,Zhongtiao Mountains,China:Implications for Synmetamorphic Copper Remobilization显示文摘The Hujiayu Cu deposit,representative of the 'HuBi-type' Cu deposits in the Zhongtiao Mountains district in the southern edge of the North China Craton,is primarily hosted in graphitebearing schists and carbonate rocks.The ore minerals comprise mainly chalcopyrite,with minor sphalerite,siegenite[(Co,Ni)_3S_4],and clausthalite[Pb(S,Se)].The gangue minerals are mainly quartz and dolomite,with minor albite.Four fluid inclusion types were recognized in the chalcopyrite-pyrite-dolomite-quartz veins,including CO_2-rich inclusions(type Ⅰ),low-salinity,liquid-dominated,biphase aqueous inclusions(type Ⅱ),solid-bearing aqueous inclusions(type Ⅲ),and solid-bearing aqueous-carbonic inclusions(type Ⅳ).Type I inclusion can be further divided into two sub-types,i.e.,monophase CO_2 inclusions(type Ⅰa) and biphase CO_2-rich inclusions(with a visible aqueous phase),and type Ⅲ inclusion is divided into a subtype with a halite daughter mineral(type Ⅲa) and a subtype with multiple solids(type Ⅲb).Various fluid inclusion assemblages(FIAs) were identified through petrographic observations,and were classified into four groups.The group-1 FIA,consisting of monophase CO_2 inclusions(type Ⅰa),homogenized into the liquid phase in a large range of temperatures from-1 to 28℃,suggesting post-entrapment modification.The group-2 FIA consists of type Ⅰb,Ⅲb and Ⅳ inclusions,and is interpreted to reflect fluid immiscibility.The group-3 FIA comprises type Ⅱ and Ⅲa inclusions,and the group-4FIA consists of type Ⅱ inclusions with consistent phase ratios.The group-1 and group-2 FIAs are interpreted to be entrapped during mineralization,whereas group-3 and group-4 FIAs probably represent the post-mineralization fluids.The solid CO_2 melting temperatures range from-60.6 to56.6℃ and from-66.0 to-63.4℃ for type Ⅰa and type Ⅳ inclusions,respectively.The homogenization temperatures for type Ⅱ inclusions range from 132 to 170℃ for group-3 FIAs and115 to 219℃ for group-4 FIAs.The halite melting temperatures range from 530 to 562℃ for typeⅢ b and Ⅳ inclusions,whereas those for type Ⅲa inclusions range from 198 to 398℃.Laser Raman and SEM-EDS results show that the gas species in fluid inclusions are mainly CO_2 with minor CH_4,and the solids are dominated by calcite and halite.The calcite in the hosting marble and dolomite in the hydrothermal veins have δ^(13)C_(V-pdb) values of-0.2 to 1.2‰ and-1.2 to-6.3‰,and δ^(18)O_(v-smow) values of 14.0 to 20.8 ‰ and 13.2 to 14.3‰,respectively.The fluid inclusion and carbon-oxygen isotope data suggest that the ore-forming fluids were probably derived from metamorphic fluids,which had reacted with organic matter in sedimentary rocks or graphite and undergone phase separation at 1.4-1.8 kbar and 230-240℃,after peak metamorphism.It is proposed that the Hujiayu Cu deposit consists of two mineralization stages.The early stage mineralization,characterized by disseminated and veinlet copper sulfides,probably took place in an environment similar to sediment-hosted stratiform copper mineralization.Ore minerals formed in this precursor mineralization stage were remobilized and enriched in the late metamorphic hydrothermal stage,leading to the formation of thick quartz-dolomite-sulfides veins.QIU Zhengjie FAN Hongrui LIU Xuan WEN Bojie HU Fangfang YANG Kuifeng GUO Shuanglong ZHAO Fengchun 2015Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,3:1

19In-situ oxidized tungsten disulfide nanosheets achieve ultrafast photocatalytic extraction of uranium through hydroxyl-mediated binding and reduction显示文摘Photoreduction of hexavalent uranium(U(VI))by semiconductor provides a novel and effective avenue for uranium extraction.Unfortunately,the traditional metal oxide and sulfide semiconductors suffer from the lack of confinement sites to U(VI),which resulted in the long period(~1 h)to achieve a high U(VI)extraction efficiency of>90%.Herein,we successfully constructed WS2 nanosheets and created in-situ oxidized domains on the surfaces(O-WS_(2))to promote the uranium extraction and the corresponding removal kinetics.In this system,the O_(7.7-)WS_(2) nanosheets exhibited a considerable U(VI)extraction efficiency of>90%within 20 min in 8 mg·L^(–1) U(VI)-containing solution,which represented the highly efficient U(VI)removal performance.In 200 mg·L^(–1) U(VI)-containing solution,the O7.7-WS2 nanosheets exhibited an extraction capacity of 652.4 mg·g^(-1).The mechanism study revealed that the oxidized surface tended to trap hydrogen atom and in-situ form hydroxyl groups in defect sites.Evidenced by a series of experiment,such as kinetic isotope effect,1H nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectra,and X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES)spectra,the in-situ formed hydroxyl groups participated in the uranium reduction,which dramatically enhanced uranium extraction kinetics and efficiency.Huanhuan Liu Jia Lei Changyao Gong Ye Li Huimei Chen Jiali Chen Fengchun Wen Dengjiang Fu Yan Liu Wenkun Zhu Rong He 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:0
20Dynamically-evolved surface heterojunction in iridium nanocrystals boosting acidic oxygen evolution and overall water splitting显示文摘Simultaneously realizing improved activity and stability of acidic oxygen evolution reaction(OER) electrocatalysts is highly promising for developing cost-effective sustainable energy in the splitting of water technique.Herein,we report iridium nanocrystals embedded into 3D conductive clothes(Ir-NCT/CC) as a low iridium electrocatalyst realizing ultrahigh acidic OER activity and robust stability.The well-designed Ir-NCT/CC requires a low overpotential of 202 mV to reach the current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)with a high mass activity of 1754 A g^(-1).Importantly,in acidic overall water splitting,Ir-NCT/CC merely delivers a cell voltage of 1.469 V at a typical current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)and also maintains robust durability under continuous operation.We identify that a low working voltage drives the formation of a highly stable amorphous IrOxactive phase over the surface of Ir nanocrystals(surface heterojunction IrOx/Ir-NCT) during operating conditions,which contributes to an effective and durable OER process.Chenyu Yang Xiuxiu Zhang Qizheng An Meihuan Liu Wanlin Zhou Yuanli Li Fengchun Hu Qinghua Liu Hui Su 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,3:0
