| 3 | Prospect of the QTL-qSB-9^(Tq) utilized in molecular breeding program of japonica rice against sheath blight显示文摘The major QTL-qSB-9Tq conferring partial resistance to rice (Oryza sativa L.) sheath blight (Rhizoctonia solani Kühn) has been verified on chromosome 9 of the indica rice cultivar, Teqing. In this study, the prospect of this QTL utilized in molecular breeding program of japonica rice for sheath blight resistance was investigated. Most of the japonica rice cultivars showed lower level of sheath blight resistance than the indica rice cultivars. At the corresponding site of qSB-9Tq, nine typical japonica rice cultivars from different ecological regions or countries proved to possess the susceptible allele(s). Introgression of qSB-9Tq into these cultivars enhanced their resistance level by decreasing sheath blight score of 1.0 (0.5–1.3), which indicated that qSB-9Tq had a large potential in strengthening the resistance of japonica rice to sheath blight. | 4 | From MONEX to the Global Monsoon:A Review of Monsoon System Research显示文摘Substantial progress has been made over the past three decades since the Monsoon Experiments(MONEX) of 1978–79. Here, we review these achievements by highlighting four breakthroughs in monsoon research:(1) The identification of the coupled ocean–land–atmosphere nature of the monsoon in the process of the annual cycle of solar heating;(2) new understanding of the changes in the driving forces of monsoon systems, with anthropogenic factors(climate effects of increased greenhouse gas and aerosol emissions) playing an important role in the regulation of monsoons;(3) detection of the interdecadal- and centennial-scale variability of monsoon systems, and its attribution to the combined impact of global warming and natural(especially oceanic) effects; and(4) the emerging concept of the global monsoon and its long-term variation under the impact of global climate change. All the observational and model-derived evidence demonstrates that the monsoon system, as an important component of the global climate system, has already changed and will continue to change in the future. | 5 | Fine mapping of an incom-plete recessive gene for leaf rolling in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Genetic analysis and fine mapping of genes controlling leaf rolling were conducted using two back-crossed generations (BC4F2, BC4F3) derived from a cross between QMX, a non-rolled leaf cultivar as a recurrent par-ent, and JZB, a rolled leaf NIL of ZB as a donor parent. Re-sults indicated that leaf rolling was mainly controlled by an incompletely recessive major gene, namely rl(t), and at the same time, affected by quantitative trait loci (QTLs) and/or the environment. A genetic linkage map was constructed using MAPMAKER/EXP3.0 with eight polymorphic mark-ers on chromosome 2, which were screened by BAS method from 500 SSR markers and 15 newly developed inser-tion/deletion (InDel) markers. The position of rl(t) was esti-mated with composite interval mapping (CIM) method using WinQTLcart2.5. Gene rl(t) was mapped between markers InDel 112 and RM3763, and 1.0 cM away from InDel 112 using 241 plants in BC4F2 population. To fine map rl(t), one BC4F3 line with 855 plants was generated from one semi-rolled leaf plant in BC4F2. Four new polymorphic InDel markers were developed, including InDel 112.6 and InDel 113 located between markers InDel112 and RM3763. Based on the information of recombination offered by 191 rolled leaf plants and 185 non-rolled leaf plants from the BC4F3 line ,we mapped rl(t) to a 137-kb region between markers InDel 112.6 and InDel 113. | 6 | Environmental and Dynamic Conditions for the Occurrence ofPersistent Haze Events in North China显示文摘This paper presents a concise summary of recent studies on the long-term variations of haze in NorthChina and on the environmental and dynamic conditions for severe persistent haze events. Resultsindicate that haze days have an obviously rising trend over the past 50 years in North China. Theoccurrence frequency of persistent haze events has a similar rising trend due to the continuous riseof winter temperatures, decrease of surface wind speeds, and aggravation of atmospheric stability. InNorth China, when severe persistent haze events occur, anomalous southwesterly winds prevail in thelower troposphere, providing sufficient moisture for the formation of haze. | 8 | Pathologic analysis on hyperplasia of mammary gland with different syndromes based on infrared radiation temperature of acupoints显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the pathologic characteristics of hyperplasia of the mammary gland(HMG) by observing differences in infrared radiation temperature of points of HMG in patients with different syndromes compared with healthy controls.METHODS:AFLIRSystems Therma CAM P30 infrared thermal camera was used to detect the infrared temperature of Shanzhong(CV 17),Qimen(LR 14),Zhongwan(CV 12),Qihai(CV 6),Guanyuan(CV 4),Taixi(KI 3),and Taichong(LR 3) in 113 patients with HMG.Of these patients,71 were placed in the Liver Qi stagnation group,34 were placed in the Dysfunction of conception and thoroughfare vessels group,and 8 were placed in the Phlegm and blood stasis in combination group.The infrared radiation temperature of each point in the patients was compared with that of healthy controls,and the differences in the infrared radiation temperatures of the points in the patients were analyzed.RESULTS:Overall,the bilateral corresponding point in both the controls and patients exhibited no significant difference in infrared radiation temperature.In all cases,the infrared radiation temperature of the points from proximal to distal tended to decrease.In a comparison of the patients and controls,the infrared radiation temperature of the trunk points Shanzhong(CV 17),Qimen(LR 14),Zhongwan(CV12),Qihai(CV6),and Guanyuan(CV 4) of the patients was higher than that of the controls,while the infrared radiation temperature of the lower extremity points Taixi(KI 3) and Taichong(LR 3) was lower than that of the controls.Of these points,Shanzhong(CV 17)(P=0.0368),Zhongwan(CV 12)(P=0.0028),Qihai(CV 6)(P=0.0085),and Guanyuan(CV4)(P=0.0018) showed significant differences.In a comparison of the corresponding point on the same side in the Liver Qi stagnation group and controls,the infrared radiation temperature of Shanzhong(CV17)(P=0.0089),right-side Qimen(LR 14)(P=0.0382),Zhongwan(CV 12)(P= 0.0000),Qihai(CV 6)(P=0.0011),and Guanyuan(CV 4)(P=0.0000) of the patients was significantly higher than that of the controls,while the differences in the infrared radiation temperature of the other points were not statistically significant(P= 0.0833-0.8397).In a comparison of the corresponding point on the same side in the Dysfunction of conception and thoroughfare vessels group and controls,the infrared radiation temperature of left-side Taichong(LR 3)(P=0.0048),right-side Taichong(LR 3)(P=0.0329),left-side Taixi(KI 3)(P= 0.0171),and right-side Taixi(KI 3)(t=0.544,P= 0.0165) of the patients was significantly lower than that of the controls,while the differences in the infrared radiation temperature of the other points were not statistically significant(P=0.3793-0.9197).In a comparison of the corresponding point on the same side in the Phlegm and blood stasis in combination group and controls,the infrared radiation temperature of Shanzhong(CV 17),Qimen(LR 14),Qihai(CV 6),Guanyuan(CV 4),Taixi(KI 3),Taichong(LR 3),and Zhongwan(CV 12) tended to increase,but without statistical significance(P=0.175-.759).CONCLUSION:The corresponding points of HMG patients with different syndromes are in different deficiency/excess states.Changes in the infrared radiation temperature of the trunk points Shanzhong(CV 17),Qimen(LR 14),Zhongwan(CV 12),Qihai(CV 6),and Guanyuan(CV 4) are closely related to the pathological characteristics of the Liver Qi stagnation syndrome of HMG patients,while changes in the infrared radiation temperature of the lower extremity points Taixi(KI 3) and Taichong(LR 3) are closely related to the pathological characteristics of the Dysfunction of conception and thoroughfare vessels syndrome of HMG patients.On the whole,HMG patients with Liver Qi stagnation syndrome are characterized by 'upper excess,' and those with Dysfunction of conception and thoroughfare vessels syndrome are characterized by'lowerdeficiency.' | Yafang Wang Xueyong Shen Jian Ying Juanjuan Zheng Shengfang Hu Ling Zhao Haiping Deng HaimengZhang | 2012 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,3: | 9 |
| 9 | Chemical characteristics of size-resolved aerosols in winter in Beijing显示文摘Size-resolved aerosols were continuously collected by a Nano Sampler for 13 days at an urban site in Beijing during winter 2012 to measure the chemical composition of ambient aerosol particles. Data collected by the Nano Sampler and an ACSM(Aerodyne Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor) were compared. Between the data sets,similar trends and strong correlations were observed,demonstrating the validity of the Nano Sampler. PM10 and PM2.5concentrations during the measurement were 150.5 ± 96.0 μg/m3(mean ± standard variation)and 106.9 ± 71.6 μg/m3,respectively. The PM2.5/PM10 ratio was 0.70 ± 0.10,indicating that PM2.5dominated PM10. The aerosol size distributions showed that three size bins of 0.5–1,1–2.5 and 2.5–10 μm contributed 21.8%,23.3% and 26.0% to the total mass concentration(TMC),respectively. OM(organic matter) and SIA(secondary ionic aerosol,mainly SO42-,NO3-and NH4+) were major components of PM2.5. Secondary compounds(SIA and secondary organic carbon) accounted for half of TMC(about 49.8%) in PM2.5,and suggested that secondary aerosols significantly contributed to the serious particulate matter pollution observed in winter. Coal burning,biomass combustion,vehicle emissions and SIA were found to be the main sources of PM2.5. The strain cyclic characteristics were researched under the strain-controlled uniaxial tension-compression and multiaxial circular paths of loading. The ratcheting tests were conducted for the stress-controlled uniaxial tensioncompression and multiaxial circular, rhombic and linear paths of loading with different mean stresses, stress amplitudes and histories. The experiment results show that 316L stainless steel features the cyclic hardening, and its strain cyclic characteristics depend on the strain amplitude and its history apparently. The ratcheting of 316L stainless steel depends greatly on the values of mean stress, stress amplitude and their histories. | 14 | Daytime HONO formation in the suburban area of the megacity Beijing, China显示文摘Nitrous acid(HONO),as a primary precursor of OH radicals,has been considered one of the most important nitrogencontaining species in the atmosphere.Up to 30%of primary OH radical production is attributed to the photolysis of HONO.However,the major HONO formation mechanisms are still under discussion.During the Campaigns of Air Quality Research in Beijing and Surrounding Region(CAREBeijing2006)campaign,comprehensive measurements were carried out in the megacity Beijing,where the chemical budget of HONO was fully constrained.The average diurnal HONO concentration varied from 0.33 to 1.2 ppbv.The net OH production rate from HONO,POH(HONO)net,was on average(from 05:00 to 19:00)7.1×106 molecule/(cm3 s),2.7 times higher than from O3 photolysis.This production rate demonstrates the important role of HONO in the atmospheric chemistry of megacity Beijing.An unknown HONO source(Punknown)with an average of 7.3×106molecule/(cm3 s)was derived from the budget analysis during daytime.Punknown provided four times more HONO than the reaction of NO with OH did.The diurnal variation of Punknown showed an apparent photo-enhanced feature with a maximum around 12:00,which was consistent with previous studies at forest and rural sites.Laboratory studies proposed new mechanisms to recruit NO2 and J(NO2)in order to explain a photo-enhancement of of Punknown.In this study,these mechanisms were validated against the observation-constraint Punknown.The reaction of exited NO2 accounted for only 6%of Punknown,and Punknown poorly correlated with[NO2](R=0.26)and J(NO2)[NO2](R=0.35).These results challenged the role of NO2 as a major precursor of the missing HONO source. | YANG Qiang SU Hang LI Xin CHENG YaFang LU KeDing CHENG Peng GU JianWei GUO Song HU Min ZENG LiMin ZHU Tong ZHANG YuanHang | 2014 | Science China Chemistry2014,57,7: | 8 |

The ratcheting was investigated for the stress-controlled multiaxial circular, elliptical and rhombic load paths with different mean stresses, stress amplitudes and their histories. The experiment shows that U71Mn rail steel features the cyclic non-hardening/softening, and its strain cyclic characteristics depend greatly on the strain amplitude but slightly on its history. However, the ratcheting of U71Mn rail steel depends greatly not only on the values of mean stress and stress amplitude, but also on their histories. In the meantime, the shape of load path and its history also apparently influence the ratcheting. | 16 | An online monitoring system for atmospheric nitrous acid(HONO) based on stripping coil and ion chromatography显示文摘A new instrument for measuring atmospheric nitrous acid(HONO) was developed,consisting of a double-wall glass stripping coil sampler coupled with ion chromatography(SC-IC).SC-IC is featured by small size(50 × 35 × 25 cm) and modular construction,including three independent parts:the sampling unit,the transfer and supporting unit,and the detection unit.High collection efficiency(> 99%) was achieved with 25 μmol/L Na2CO3 as absorption solution even in the presence of highly acidic compounds.This instrument has a detection limit of 8 pptv at 15 min time resolution,with a measurement uncertainty of 7%.Potential interferences from NOx,NO2+SO2,NO2+VOCs,HONO+O3,HNO3,peroxyacetyl nitrite(PAN) and particle nitrite were quantified in laboratory studies and were found to be insignificant under typical atmospheric conditions.Within the framework of the 3C-STAR project,inter-comparison between the SC-IC and LOPAP(long path liquid absorption photometer) was conducted at a rural site in the Pearl River Delta.Good agreement was achieved between the two instruments over three weeks.Both instruments determined a clear diurnal profile of ambient HONO concentrations from 0.1 to 2.5 ppbv.However,deviations were found for low ambient HONO concentrations(i.e.< 0.3 ppbv),which cannot be explained by previous investigated interference species.To accurately determine the HONO budget under illuminated conditions,more intercomparison of HONO measurement techniques is still needed in future studies,especially at low HONO concentrations. | Peng Cheng Yafang Cheng Keding Lu Hang Su Qiang Yang Yikan Zou Yanran Zhao Huabing Dong Limin Zeng Yuanhang Zhang | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,5: | 5 |
| 17 | IL-17A-dependent gut microbiota is essential for regulating diet-induced disorders in mice显示文摘The gut microbiota plays a key role in obesity and related metabolic disorders, and multiple factors including diet, host genotype, and age regulate it. Many studies have examined the contribution of extrinsic factors to the regulation of the gut microbiota, but the importance of the host genetic constitution cannot be ignored. Interleukin 17A(IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine, is important in the defense against infection and diseases. Here, we investigated the association among IL-17, a high-fat diet(HFD), and the gut microbiota. Mice deficient in IL-17A were resistant to diet-induced obesity and related diseases. Compared with the Ⅱ-17^(-/-)mice, wild-type(WT) mice challenged with HFD showed obvious weight fluctuations, such as those seen in type 2 diabetes, and hematological changes similar to those associated with metabolic syndrome. However, housing WT mice and Ⅱ-17a^(-/-)mice together significantly alleviated these symptoms in the WT mice. A metagenomic analysis of the mouse feces indicated that the microbial community compositions of these two groups differed before HFD feeding. The HFD mediated shifts in the gut microbial compositions, which were associated with the mouse phenotypes.We also identified potentially beneficial and harmful species present during this period, and drew networks of the most abundant species. A functional analysis indicated pathway changes in the WT and Ⅱ-17a^(-/-)mice when fed the HFD. | 19 | Effect of Mo content on microstructure and stress-rupture properties of a Ni-base single crystal superalloy显示文摘The additional 1.5 wt% Mo was added in a Ni-base single crystal(SC) alloy with the composition of Ni–6.5Al–8.0Mo–2.4Cr–6.2Ta–4.9Co–1.5Re–(0.01–0.05)Y(wt%) to study the effect of Mo content on the microstructure and stress-rupture properties. The creep and stress-rupture tests under the conditions of 850 °C/500 MPa and 1100 °C/130 MPa were conducted, and the microstructure of as-cast, heat treated and stress ruptured specimens were analyzed. It was found that the 1.5 wt% Mo addition enhanced the stress-rupture lives at both intermediate(850 °C) and high(1100 °C)temperatures. The microstructure analysis showed that adding 1.5 wt% Mo in the basic alloy affected the microstructure dramatically, i.e., the Mo-rich phases formed in the specimens of as-cast and stress-ruptured specimens. It is considered that the improvement of the stress-rupture lives is duo to the strengthening effect of Mo to both γ and γ'phases and the decrease of stacking fault energy, diffusion constant and dislocation spacing. | 20 | Surface defect ordered Cu_(2)ZnSn(S,Se)_(4) solar cells with efficiency over 12% via manipulating local substitution显示文摘The environmentally friendly Cu_(2)ZnSn(S,Se)_(4)(CZTSSe) compounds are promising direct bandgap materials for application in thin film solar cells, but the spontaneous surface defects disordering would lead to large open-circuit voltage deficit(V_(oc,deficit)) and significantly limit kesterite photovoltaics performance,primarily arising from the generated more recombination centers and insufficient p to n conversion at p-n junction. Herein, we establish a surface defects ordering structure in CZTSSe system via local substitution of Cu by Ag to suppress disordered Cu_(Zn) defects and generate benign n-type Zn_(Ag) donors. Taking advantage of the decreased annealing temperature of Ag F post deposition treatment(PDT), the high concentration of Ag incorporated into surface absorber facilitates the formation of surface ordered defect environment similar to that of efficient CIGS PV. The manipulation of highly doped surface structure could effectively reduce recombination centers, increase depletion region width and enlarge the band bending near p-n junction. As a result, the Ag F-PDT device finally achieves maximum efficiency of 12.34% with enhanced V_(oc) of 0.496 V.
