| 1 | The Lushan M_S7.0 earthquake and activity of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone显示文摘Following the Lushan MS7.0 earthquake on 20 April 2013,a topic of much concern is whether events of MS7 or greater could occur again on the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone.In providing evidence to answer this question,this work analyzes the tectonic relationship between the Lushan event and the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake and the rupture history of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone,through field investigations of active tectonics and paleoearthquake research,and our preliminary conclusions are as follows.The activity of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone is much different to that of its central section,and the late Quaternary activity has propagated forward to the basin in the east.The seismogenic structure of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake is the central-fore-range fault system,whereas that of the 2013 Lushan event is attributed to the fore-range-range-front fault system,rather than the central fault.The southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone becomes wider towards the south with an increasing number of secondary faults,of which the individual faults exhibit much weaker surface activity.Therefore,this section is not as capable of generating a major earthquake as is the central segment.It is most likely that the 2013 earthquake fills the seismic gap around Lushan on the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone. | CHEN LiChun RAN YongKang WANG Hu LI YanBao MA XinQuan | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28: | 24 |
| 2 | Large scale patterns of forage yield and quality across Chinese grasslands显示文摘Understanding the patterns of forage quantity and quality and investigating the factors influencing these patterns are essential for the development of animal husbandry.However,there is very little field evidence focused on these issues at a large spatial scale.In the current study,we analyzed forage quantity and quality at 177 sites distributed in all the major grassland types across China,and explored the relationship between forage quantity and quality based on consistent sampling protocols.We also investigated potential factors influencing forage quality patterns across China.Our study indicates the Tibetan grasslands had both higher quantity and quality forage than the Inner Mongolian grasslands,and alpine meadow had the best quantity and quality forage because of the meadow's high productivity and the crude protein and nitrogen free extract content of the meadow forage.For the main vegetation formations,Kobresia tibetica meadows and Achnatherum splendens steppes had the highest quantity,while Kobresia pygmaea meadows and Kobresia humilis meadows had the best quality.We also found that although environmental factors,such as temperature and soil fertility,could affect physiological processes and so influence forage quality,the large scale patterns of change were mainly a result of the differences in vegetation types.Finally,we reported a negative relationship between forage quantity and quality:higher forage quantity means more crude fiber but less ether extract and crude protein.These findings improve our understanding on the spatial patterns of forage quantity and quality,and provide solid evidence related to the future development of animal husbandry. | SHI Yue MA YinLei MA WenHong LIANG CunZhu ZHAO XinQuan FANG JingYun HE JinSheng | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,10: | 12 |
| 3 | Reversible and irreversible heat generation of NCA/Si–C pouch cell during electrochemical energy-storage process显示文摘To meet the requirements of electronic vehicles(EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles(HEVs),the high energy density Li Ni_(0.8) Co_(0.15) Al_(0.05) O_2(NCA) cathode and Si–C anode have attracted more attention.Here we report the thermal behaviors of NCA/Si–C pouch cell during the charge/discharge processes at different current densities.The total heat generations are derived from the surface temperature change during electrochemical Li+insertion/extraction in adiabatic surrounding.The reversible heat is determined by the entropic coefficients,which are related with open-circuit voltage at different temperatures; while the irreversible heat is determined by the internal resistance,which can be obtained via V–I characteristic,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and hybrid pulse power characterization(HPPC).During the electrochemical process,the reversible heat contributes less than 10% to total heat generation; and the heat generated in charge process is less than that in discharge process.The results of thermal behaviors analyses are conducive to understanding the safety management and paving the way for building a reliable thermal model of high energy density lithium ion battery. | Ying Bai Limin Li Yu Li Guanghai Chen Huichun Zhao Zhaohua Wang Chuan Wu Hongyun Ma Xinquan Wang Hongyue Cui Jiang Zhou | 2019 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,2: | 7 |

| 6 | Therapeutic safety evaluation of sodium glycididazole combined with ^(131)I radiotherapy for differentiated thyroid carcinoma显示文摘To evaluate safety and therapeutic efficacy of sodium glycididazole (CMNa) combined with 131I radiotherapy for differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC),the 60 patients of DTC therapeutic protocols were selected and divided into 3 groups of the DTC 4.44 GBq 131I,DTC 3.70 GBq 131I,and combination of DTC 3.70 GBq 131I with CMNa,and the 20 patients of Graves' Disease were selected as the control group.Peripheral blood was sampled at 131I pre-treatment of 1 day,and 131I post-treatment of 7,91,and 182 days,thus analyzing lymphocyte micronucleus scores and karyotyping profiles.Compared with the control group,the lymphocyte micronucleus and chromosome mutation rates in 131I treated DTC increased after post-treatment of 7 days,recovered after post-treatment of 91 days,and did not bounce after post-treatment of 182 days.The micronucleus and chromosome mutation rates in the combination of DTC 3.70 GBq 131I with CMNa showed less significant variation than other treated DTC groups.Our results demonstrate that micronucleus assay and karyotyping analysis are favorable to evaluate 131I radiotherapy for DTC.The combination of the CMNa with 131I radiotherapy was safe for DTC patients without affecting the long-term therapeutic outcomes. | SUN Wenwei GU Xinquan GAO Shi BAI Lin CUI Qu MA Qingjie Wang Qing Zhao Guoqing | 2011 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2011,22,4: | 0 |

| 8 | Metabolic profile analysis based on GC-TOF/MS and HPLC reveals the negative correlation between catechins and fatty acids in the cottonseed of Gossypium hirsutum显示文摘Background: The diversified and high value-added utilization of cotton by products can promote the sustainable development of modern agriculture. Di erences in potential nutrients among varieties can be explained by variations in the composition and abundance of fatty acids, polyphenols, carbohydrates, amino acids, and organic acids. Therefore, the analysis of metabolite species and relationships in cottonseed is meaningful for the development of cotton byproducts.Results: In this study, the metabolomes of three representative cotton cultivars of di erent species were compared using untargeted GC-TOF/MS analysis. A total of 263 metabolites were identified from 705 peaks, and their levels were compared across cultivars. Principal component analysis and OPLS-DA clearly distinguish these samples based on metabolites. There were significant di erences in the contents of amino acids, carbohydrates, organic acids, flavonoids, and lipids in G. hirsutum TM-1 compared with G. arboreum Shixiya1 and G. barbadense Hai7124. Notably, the bioactive nutrient compound catechin obtained from the di erential metabolites significantly accumulated in TM-1. Furthermore, a comprehensive analysis using catechin and oil-related traits was conducted in core collections of Gossypium hirsutum. The results revealed the reliability of the GC-TOF/MS analysis, as well as that catechin content has a negative association with myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, arachidic acid, and total fatty acids.Conclusion: These findings suggest that untargeted GC-TOF/MS analysis could provide a new method for investigating the underlying plant biochemistry of nutrient variation in cottonseed, and that catechin content has a negative association with oil-related traits in cottonseed. | 11 | Hippocampal mitochondrial cytochrome C oxidase activity and gene expression in a rat model of chronic cerebral ischemia显示文摘The present study established a rat model of chronic cerebral ischemia using bilateral common carotid artery permanent ligation to analyze cytochrome C oxidase activity and mRNA expression in hippocampal mitochondria. Results showed significantly decreased cytochrome C oxidase activity and cytochrome C oxidase II mRNA expression with prolonged ischemia time. Further analysis re-vealed five mitochondrial cytochrome C oxidase II gene mutations, two newly generated mutations, and four absent mutational sites at 1 month after cerebral ischemia, as well as three mitochondrial cytochrome C oxidase III gene mutations, including two newly generating mutations, and one dis-appeared mutational site at 1 month after cerebral ischemia.
