2Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder in China:A Nationwide Multi-center Population-based Study Among Children Aged 6 to 12 Years显示文摘This study aimed to obtain the first national estimate of the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) in Chinese children.We targeted the population of 6 to 12-year-old children for this prevalence study by multistage convenient cluster sampling.The Modified Chinese Autism Spectrum Rating Scale was used for the screening process.Of the target population of 142,086 children,88.5%(n=125,806) participated in the study.A total of 363 children were confirmed as having ASD.The observed ASD prevalence rate was 0.29%(95% CI:0.26%-0.32%) for the overall population.After adjustment for response rates,the estimated number of ASD cases was867 in the target population sample,thereby achieving an estimated prevalence of 0.70%(95% CI:0.64%-0.74%).The prevalence was significantly higher in boys than in girls(0.95%;95% CI:0.87%-1.02% versus 0.30%;95%CI:0.26%-0.34%;P <0.001).Of the 363 confirmed ASD cases,43.3% were newly diagnosed,and most of those(90.4%) were attending regular schools,and 68.8% of the children with ASD had at least one neuropsychiatric comorbidity.Our findings provide reliable data on the estimated ASD prevalence and comorbidities in Chinese children.Hao Zhou Xiu Xu Weili Yan Xiaobing Zou Lijie Wu Xuerong Luo Tingyu Li Yi Huang Hongyan Guan Xiang Chen Meng Mao Kun Xia Lan Zhang Erzhen Li Xiaoling Ge Lili Zhang Chunpei Li Xudong Zhang Yuanfeng Zhou Ding Ding Andy Shih Eric Fombonne Yi Zheng Jisheng Han Zhongsheng Sun Yong-hui Jiang Yi Wang LATENT-NHC Study Team 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,9:158

6Neuroprotective effect of exogenous vascular endothelial growth factor on rat spinal cord neurons in vitro hypoxia显示文摘Background Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is well known as a hypoxia-induced protein. That it markedly increased expression of VEGF and improvement of rat motor function after spinal cord injury suggested that VEGF could play a neuroprotective role in ischaemic tolerance. This study investigated whether vascular endothelial growth factor has direct neuroprotective effects on rat spinal cord neurons. Methods We employed primary cultures of embryonic rat spinal cord neurons, then administrated different concentrations of VEGF164 in the culture medium before hypoxia when the number of neurons was counted and the cell viability was detected by MTT. The neuronal apoptosis and expression of VEGF and its receptor genes were evaluated by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick-end labelling (TUNEL) and immunohistochemistry. The VEGFR2/FLK-1 inhibitor, SU1498, was used to confirm whether the neuroprotective effect of VEGF was mediated through VEGFR2/Flk-1 receptors. Result In hypoxic conditions,the number and viability of neurons decreased progressively, while the number of TUNEL-positive cells increased along with the prolongation of hypoxic exposure. When the concentration of VEGF in cell culture medium reached 25 ng/ml, the cell viability increased 11% and neuronal apoptosis reduced to half, this effect was dose dependent and led to an approximately 25% increase in cell viability and about threefold decrease in TUNEL-positive cells at a maximally effective concentration of 100 ng/ml. In normal conditions, VEGF/Flk-1 but not VEGF/Flt-1 gene expressed at a low level: after hypoxia, the expression of VEGF/Flk-1, but not VEGF/Flt-1 was significantly increased. The protective effect of VEGF was blocked by the VEGFR2/Flk-1 receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor, SU1498. 9Pharmacokinetic evaluation of Shenfu Injection in beagle dogs after intravenous drip administration显示文摘Shenfu Injection(SFI) is a well-defined Chinese herbal formulation that is obtained from red ginseng and processed aconite root. The main active constituents in SFI are ginsenosides and aconitum alkaloids. In this work, ginsenosides(ginsenoside Rg1, ginsenoside Rb1 and ginsenoside Rc) and aconitum alkaloids(benzoylmesaconine and fuziline) were used as the index components to explore the pharmacokinetic behavior of SFI. A selective and sensitive HPLC–MS/MS method was developed for the quantification of ginsenosides and aconitum alkaloids in dog plasma and was used to characterize the pharmacokinetics of the five index components after intravenous drip of three different dosages of SFI in beagle dogs. 10Intelligent modeling and control for nonlinear systems with rate-dependent hysteresis显示文摘A new modeling approach for nonlinear systems with rate-dependent hysteresis is proposed. The approach is used for the modeling of the giant magnetostrictive actuator,which has the rate-dependent nonlinear property. The models built are simpler than the existed approaches. Compared with the experiment result,the model built can well describe the hysteresis nonlinear of the actuator for input signals with complex frequency. An adaptive direct inverse control approach is proposed based on the fuzzy tree model and inverse learning and special learning that are used in neural network broadly. In this approach,the inverse model of the plant is identified to be the initial controller firstly. Then,the inverse model is connected with the plant in series and the linear parameters of the controller are adjusted using the least mean square algorithm by on-line manner. The direct inverse control approach based on the fuzzy tree model is applied on the tracing control of the actuator by simulation. 11A controlled study of positron-emission-tomography and positron-emission-tomography/computed tomography in differential diagnosis of solitary pulmonary nodules—report of 60 cases显示文摘The differential diagnosis of solitary pulmonary nodules (SPNs) remains a challenge. It is acknowledged that combining positron-emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) offers the most reliable noninvasive method for the diagnosis of SPNs. Since Townsend et al1 developed integrated PET/CT in 1999, this technique has increasingly been introduced into clinical practice. To date, nuclear medicine physicians have usually undertaken PET/CT diagnosis, but the question is surfacing as how to make full use of the information of CT image to improve the accuracy of SPN diagnosis. To answer this question, we performed a retrospective study on 60 patients with SPNs. METHODS Patients Between October 2003 and October 2004, 60 consecutive patients with SPNs (age range 26-85 years; median 56 years) underwent PET/CT examination, including 30 with benign and 30 with malignant lesions. Most of the patients had undergone CT scan before PET/CT. 13Highly expressed BMP9/GDF2 in postnatal mouse liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on stem cell differentiation,angiogenesis,tumor growth and metabolism显示文摘Bone morphogenetic protein 9(BMP9)(or GDF2)was originally identified from fetal mouse liver cDNA libraries.Emerging evidence indicates BMP9 exerts diverse and pleiotropic functions during postnatal development and in maintaining tissue homeostasis.However,the expression landscape of BMP9 signaling during development and/or in adult tissues remains to be analyzed.Here,we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the expression landscape of BMP9 and its signaling mediators in postnatal mice.By analyzing mouse ENCODE transcriptome datasets we found Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and detectable in embryonic brain,adult lungs and adult placenta.We next conducted a comprehensive qPCR analysis of RNAs isolated from major mouse tissues/organs at various ages.We found that Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and lung tissues of young adult mice,but decreased in older mice.Interestingly,Bmp9 was only expressed at low to modest levels in developing bones.BMP9-associated TGFβ/BMPR type I receptor Alk1 was highly expressed in the adult lungs.Furthermore,the feedback inhibitor Smads Smad6 and Smad7 were widely expressed in mouse postnatal tissues.However,the BMP signaling antagonist noggin was highly expressed in fat and heart in the older age groups,as well as in kidney,liver and lungs in a biphasic fashion.Thus,our findings indicate that the circulating BMP9 produced in liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on postnatal tissues/organs although possible roles of BMP9 signaling in liver and lungs remain to be fully understood.Wei Liu Zhongliang Deng Zongyue Zeng Jiaming Fan Yixiao Feng Xi Wang Daigui Cao Bo Zhang Lijuan Yang Bin Liu Mikhail Pakvasa William Wagstaff Xiaoxing Wu Huaxiu Luo Jing Zhang Meng Zhang Fang He Yukun Mao Huiming Ding Yongtao Zhang Changchun Niu Rex C.Haydon Hue H.Luu Jennifer Moriatis Wolf Michael J.Lee Wei Huang Tong-Chuan He Yulong Zou 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,2:9
14Optimized design and test for a pendulum suspension of the crop spray boom in dynamic conditions based on a six DOF motion simulator显示文摘Spray deposit distribution from a field sprayer is mainly affected by the boom movements when the tractor is driven over a rough soil surface,the pendulum suspension that used to reduce and control the movement of spray boom by isolating the boom from vibrations of the tractor will directly enhance uniform deposition of chemicals.However,how to match the parameters of the suspension with the properties of the boom is the key problem.The dynamic rigid-flexible coupling model of the virtual prototype of the spray boom suspension system was established by using ADAMS and ABAQUS software.An optimization of the suspension parameters for a large spay boom was carried out based on the optimal Latin hypercube design,radial basis function neural network,and multi-objective genetic algorithm NSGA-II.After modified parameters of the suspension,the travel of the sprayer on a typical field motion track was simulated based on a six DOF motion simulator,and the dynamic behavior of the boom suspension was measured.The results show that RMS of the measured boom roll angle and the boom center displacement for optimized solution were reduced by 14.76%and 12.43%compared with the original suspension.Finally,the inertial measurement unit(IMU)was used to measure the movements of the sprayer vehicle during the pesticide application on the Hongze Lake Farm,the experiment of field condition reproduced by using the six DOF motion simulator,the standard deviation of the roll angle and vibration displacement for the optimized sprayer boom are only 0.6382°and 62.279 mm respectively.The research provides theoretical basis and experimental method for parameter optimization of large scale boom suspension.Longfei Cui Hanping Mao Xinyu Xue Suming Ding Baiyu Qiao 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,3:9
15Variation in cis-regulation of a NAC transcription factor contributes to drought tolerance in wheat显示文摘Drought is a major environmental factor limiting wheat production worldwide,and developing drought-tolerant cultivars is a central challenge for wheat breeders globally.Therefore,it is important to identify genetic components determining drought tolerance in wheat.In this study,we identified a wheat NAC gene(TaNAC071-A)that is tightly associated with drought tolerance by a genome-wide association study.Knockdown of TaNAC071-A in wheat attenuated plant drought tolerance,whereas its overexpression significantly enhanced drought tolerance through improved water-use efficiency and increased expression of stress-responsive genes.This heightened water-saving mechanism mitigated the yield loss caused by water deficit.Further candidate gene association analysis showed that a 108-bp insertion in the promoter of TaNAC071-A alters its expression level and contributes to variation in drought tolerance among wheat accessions.This insertion contains two MYB cis-regulatory elements(CREs)that can be directly bound by the MYB transcription activator,TaMYBL1,thereby leading to increased TaNAC071-A expression and plant drought tolerance.Importantly,introgression of this 108-bp insertion allele,TaNAC071-AIn-693,into drought-sensitive cultivars could improve their drought tolerance,demonstrating that it is a valuable genetic resource for wheat breeding.Taken together,our findings highlight a major breakthrough in determining the genetic basis underlying phenotypic variation in wheat drought tolerance and showcase the potential of exploiting CRE-containing indels for improving important agronomical traits.Hude Mao Shumin Li Bin Chen Chao Jian Fangming Mei Yifang Zhang Fangfang Li Nan Chen Tian Li Linying Du Li Ding Zhongxue Wang Xinxiu Cheng Xiaojing Wang Zhensheng Kang 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,2:9

17Primary resonance of traveling viscoelastic beam under internal resonance显示文摘Under the 3:1 internal resonance condition,the steady-state periodic response of the forced vibration of a traveling viscoelastic beam is studied.The viscoelastic behaviors of the traveling beam are described by the standard linear solid model,and the material time derivative is adopted in the viscoelastic constitutive relation.The direct multi-scale method is used to derive the relationships between the excitation frequency and the response amplitudes.For the first time,the real modal functions are employed to analytically investigate the periodic response of the axially traveling beam.The undetermined coefficient method is used to approximately establish the real modal functions.The approximate analytical results are confirmed by the Galerkin truncation.Numerical examples are presented to highlight the effects of the viscoelastic behaviors on the steady-state periodic responses.To illustrate the effect of the internal resonance,the energy transfer between the internal resonance modes and the saturation-like phenomena in the steady-state responses is presented.Hu DING Linglu HUANG Xiaoye MAO Liqun CHEN 2017Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2017,38,1:8
18Non-image diagnosis of bile duct injury during laparoscopic cholecystectomy显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the role of simple non-imagetechnique in intraoperative diagnosis of bile duct in-jury (BDI).Methods: BDI was highly suspected at the original la-paroscopic cholecystectomy (LC) when the following 3abnormal findings were noted: the 'cystic duct' stump(the common bile duct stump actually) markedly re-tracted down to the duodenum; bile leakage from theporta hepatis; abnormal mucosal patch attached to the'cystic duct' stump of the removed gallbladder. Allcases of suspected BDI were converted to have laparo-tomy. Image techniques such as intraoperative cholan-giography or ultrasonography were not utilized forrecognition of BDI in all 9 patients.Results: BDI in 4 of the 9 patients was suspected ac-cording to 1-3 abnormal intraoperative findings de-scribed above. The four patients were subjected imme-diately to converted laparotomy. Abnormal findingswere not observed or misinterpreted in the other 5misdiagnosed patients.Conclusions: Timely recognizing whether BDI occursshould be considered as a routine procedure ofLC. Negligence of operators to the abnormalities of theoriginal LC, is the main cause of misdiagnosis forBDL. 20Effects of Niaoduqing Particles(尿毒清颗粒)on Delaying Progression of Renal Dysfunction:A Post-trial,Open-Label,Follow-up Study显示文摘Objective: To follow up the participants of the randomized clinical trial 'Efficacy and Safety of Niaoduqing Particles(尿毒清颗粒) for Delaying Moderate-to-Severe Renal Dysfunction', and assess the long-term effects of Niaoduqing Particles on delaying the progression of renal dysfunction. Methods: Participants, who had previously been randomly assigned to receive Niaoduqing Particles or placebo for 24 weeks(146 cases in each group), were invited to follow-up and all were administered Niaoduqing Particles 5 g thrice daily and 10 g before bedtime for 24 weeks. The primary endpoints were changes in baseline serum creatinine(Scr) and estimated glomerular filtration rate(e GFR) after completion of the open-label treatment period. Results: After the double-blind period, the median(interquartile range) changes in Scr were 1.1(–13.0–24.1) and 11.7(–2.6–42.9) μmol/L for the Niaoduqing Particle and placebo groups, respectively(P=0.008), and the median changes in e GFRs were –0.2(–4.3–2.7) and –2.21(–5.7–0.8) mL·min^(-1)·1.73 m^(-2), respectively(P=0.016). There were significant differences in the double-blind period changes in renal function between groups. After the open-label period, the median changes in Scr were 9.0(–10.0–41.9) and 17.5(–6.0–50.0) μmol/L for the Niaoduqing Particle and placebo groups according to baseline grouping, respectively(P=0.214), and the median changes in eGFRs were –2.3(–6.4–1.9) and –3.7(–7.5–1.1) mL·min^(-1)·1.73 m^(-2), respectively(P=0.134). There were no statistical differences in the open-label period changes in renal function between groups. The eGFR reduction of participants who accepted Niaoduqing Particle treatment for 48 weeks was projected to 2.5 m L·min^(-1)·1.73 m(-2) per year. Conclusions: Niaoduqing Particles appear to have long-term efficacy for patients with moderate-to-severe renal dysfunction.
