1Preparation and Properties of a Novel Water Soluble Core Material显示文摘A novel water-soluble core material composed of polyethylene glycol,sodium chloride,mica powder and plasticizer was prepared.The compressive strength,bend strength,hygroscopic coefficient and the material solubility in water were investigated.The results show that the compressive yield strength of the soluble core can reach 1 MPa and the highest compressive strength can reach 4 MPa,the bend strength is as high as 6.65 MPa,the hygroscopic coefficient is lower than 0.22%/month and the solubility of suitable core material is 35.7-55.75 g/(min·m 2).The wax pattern with undercuts was prepared successfully by using the novel water-soluble core material.Weiguo Jiang,Jiasheng Dong,Langhong Lou,Ming Liu and Zhuangqi Hu Institute of Metal Research,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Shenyang 110016,China 2010Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,3:7
2Effect of Gd addition on mechanical and microstructural properties of Mg-xGd-2.6Nd-0.5Zn-0.5Zr cast alloys显示文摘The Mg-xGd-2.6Nd-0.5Zn-0.5Zr(x=0,3.0,4.5 and 6.0,wt.%)alloys were prepared by gravity casting and then T6 treatment.Microstructures of the alloy were observed using optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.Results show that the as-cast alloys contained network Mg3Gd phases,blocky and needle-like Mg12(Nd,Gd)phases.The a(Zr)particle inclusions in the a(Mg)matrix are also observed.Content of the secondary phases decreases as Gd content increases.Tensile test results show that the tensile and yield strengths of all the alloys increase as Gd content increases under the as-cast and T6 conditions,but the elongation exhibits the opposite trend.The blocky Mg12(Nd,Gd)phases appear and act as crack initiator and deteriorates the experimental alloys’ductility with the increase of Gd content,especially as Gd content increases to 6.0 wt.%,so the Mg-6.0Gd-2.6Nd-0.5Zn-0.5Zr alloy has the lowest elongation value compared to the other alloys studied.After T6 treatment,the Mg-4.5Gd-2.6Nd-0.5Zn-0.5Zr alloy exhibits the optimal mechanical properties both at room temperature and 250℃.Liang Zhan Yi-zhi Le Zhi-jun Feng Yan-chun Lou Ming Ruan Hua-wen Li 2020China Foundry2020,17,3:6
3Microstructural features of biomedical cobalt–chromium–molybdenum(CoCrMo) alloy from powder bed fusion to aging heat treatment显示文摘The design freedom of powder bed fusion process selective laser melting(SLM)enables flexibility to manufacture customized,geometrically complex medical implants directly from the CAD models.Cobased alloys have adequate wear and corrosion resistance,fatigue strength,and biocompatibility,which enables the alloys to be widely used in medical devices.This work aims to investigate the evolution of microstructures and their influence on tribological property of CoCrMo alloy processed by SLM and aging heat treatment.The results showed that very weak<110>texture along the building direction and microsegregation along cellular boundaries were produced.The presence of high residual stress and fine cellular dendrite structure has a pronounced hardening effect on the as-SLM and aging-treated alloys at moderate temperatures.Furthermore,the hexagonalεphase transformed from theγmatrix during SLM became significant after subsequent aging at moderate temperatures,which further increased the nanohardness and scratch resistance.High temperature(1150℃)heating caused homogenized recrystallization microstructure free of residual stress andεphase,which sharply decreased the hardness and scratch resistance.The material parallel to the building direction exhibited improved tribological property in both SLMed and aging-treated alloy than that of the material perpendicular to the building direction.The anisotropy in frictional performance may be considered when designing CoCrMo dental implants using laser additive manufacturing.Haoqing Li Ming Wang Dianjun Lou Weilong Xia Xiaoying Fang 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,10:5

7Microstructure and magnetic properties of(SmCo+FeCo)/NdFeB multicomponent nanocomposite magnets fabricated by HPTC with change in heating temperature and composition显示文摘We report the fabrication of bulk anisotropic(SmCo+FeCo)/NdFeB multicomponent nanocomposite magnets using high-pressure thermal compression(HPTC).The correlations among microstructure,magnetic properties,heating temperature and composition of the HPTC nanocomposite magnets were studied.The HPTC magnet made under variable temperatures(VT),with 19 wt% of FeCo phase,exhibits a maximum energy product of 32 MGOe,which is much higher than that(14 MGOe) for the HPTC magnet made under a constant temperature(CT).When the FeCo content increases to^23 wt%,the HPTC magnet made under VT still remains a high energy product of about 25 MGOe.With increasing NdFeB content,the(SmCo+FeCo)/NdFeB multicomponent nanocomposite magnets exhibit an enhanced magnetic anisotropy and coercivity.This work is beneficial to fabricating high-performance and low-cost permanent magnets for practical applications.Guangwei Huang Li Lou Wenpeng Song Ming Li Fuchen Hou Xiaohong Li 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,7:4
8Numerical simulation of flow hydrodynamics of struvite pellets in a liquid–solid fluidized bed显示文摘Phosphorus recovery in the form of struvite has been aroused in recent decades for its dual advantages in eutrophication control and resource protection.The usage of the struvite products is normally determined by the size which is largely depended on the hydrodynamics.In this study,flow behavior of struvite pellets was simulated by means of Eulerian–Eulerian two-fluid model combining with kinetic theory of granular flow in a liquid–solid fluidized bed reactor(FBR).A parametric study including the mesh size,time step,discretization strategy,turbulent model and drag model was first developed,followed by the evaluations of crucial operational conditions,particle characteristics and reactor shapes.The results showed that a cold model with the mesh resolution of 16 × 240,default time step of 0.001 sec and first order discretization scheme was accurate enough to describe the fluidization.The struvite holdup profile using Syamlal–O'Brien drag model was best fitted to the experimental data as compared with other drag models and the empirical Richardson–Zaki equation.Regarding the model evaluation,it showed that liquid velocity and particle size played important roles on both solid holdups and velocities.The reactor diameter only influenced the solid velocity while the static bed height almost took no effect.These results are direct and can be applied to guide the operation and process control of the struvite fluidization.Moreover,the model parameters can also be used as the basic settings in further crystallization simulations.Xin Ye Dongyuan Chu Yaoyin Lou Zhi-Long Ye Ming Kuang Wang Shaohua Chen 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,7:3

12Crystal structure of a secreted lipase from Gibberella zeae reveals a novel “double-lock” mechanism显示文摘Fusarium graminearum(sexual stage:Gibberella zeae)is the causative agent of Fusarium Head Blight(FHB),which is one of the most destructive plant disease of cereals,accounting for high grain yield losses,especially for wheat and maize.Like other fungal pathogens,several extracellular enzymes secreted by G.zeae are known to be involved in host infection.Among these secreted lipases,G.zeae lipase(GZEL),which is encoded by the FGL1 gene,was demonstrated to be crucial to G.zeae pathogenicity.However,the precise mechanism of GZEL remains unclear due to a lack of detailed structural information.In this study,we report the crystal structure of GZEL at the atomic level.The structure of GZEL displays distinct structural differences compared to reported homologues and indicates a unique“double lock”enzymatic mechanism.To gain insight into substrate/inhibitor recognition,we proposed a model of GZEL in complex with substrate and the lipase inhibitor ebelactone B(based on the reported structures of GZEL homologues),which defines possible substrate binding sites within the catalytic cleft and suggests an“anti sn-l”binding mode.These results pave the way to elucidating the mechanism of GZEL and thus provide clues for the design of anti-FHB inhibitors.Zhiyong Lou Ming Li Yuna Sun Ye Liu Zheng Liu Wenping Wu Zihe Rao 2010Protein & Cell2010,1,8:2
13Vertical Profiles of Volatile Organic Compounds in Suburban Shanghai显示文摘As Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)are one of the precursors of ozone,their distribution and variable concentrations are highly related to local ozone pollution control.In this study,we obtained vertical profiles of VOCs in Shanghai’s Jinshan district on 8 September and 9 September in 2016 to investigate their distribution and impact on local atmospheric oxidation in the near surface layer.Vertical samples were collected from heights between 50 m and 400 m by summa canisters using an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV).Concentrations of VOCs(VOCs refers to the 52 species measured in this study)varied minimally below 200 m,and decreased by 21.2%from 100 m to 400 m.The concentrations of VOCs above 200 m decreased significantly in comparison to those below 200 m.The proportions of alkanes and aromatics increased from 55.2%and 30.5%to 57.3%and 33.0%,respectively.Additionally,the proportion of alkenes decreased from 13.2%to 8.4%.Toluene and m/p-xylene were the key species in the formation of SOA and ozone.Principal component analysis(PCA)revealed that the VOCs measured in this study mainly originated from industrial emissions.Yuhan LIU Hongli WANG Shengao JING Ming ZHOU Shenrong LOU Kun QU Wanyi QIU Qian WANG Shule LI Yaqin GAO Yusi LIU Xiaobing LI Zhong-Ren PENG Junhui CHEN Keding LU 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,7:1

16Electrical, Thermal, and Mechanical Properties of Cu/Ti3AlC2 Functional Gradient Materials Prepared by Low-temperature Spark Plasma Sintering显示文摘Cu/Ti3AlC2 composite and functional-gradient materials with excellent electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity as well as good flexural properties were prepared by low-temperature spark plasma sintering of Cu and Ti3AlC2 powder mixtures. The phase compositions of the materials were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, and their microstructure was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Further, the electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and flexural properties of the materials were tested. Results show that, for the composite materials, the resistivity rises from 0.75 × 10^-7 Ω·m only to 1.32 × 10^-7 Ω·m and the thermal diffusivity reduces from 82.5 mm^2/s simply to 39.8 mm^2/s, while the flexural strength improves from 412.9 MPa to 471.3 MPa, as the content of Ti3AlC2 is increased from 5 wt%to 25 wt%.
