| 2 | Low grade gastric mucosa associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma:Treatment strategies based on 10 year follow-up显示文摘AIM:To deduce strategic guidelines of gastric mucosa associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma (MALTOMA) by evaluating the long-term outcome of patients in respect to various treatment modalities.METHODS:A total of 55 patients with MALTOMA from May 1992 to August 2002 were retrospectively reviewed.RESULTS: Complete remission was obtained in 24 (82.8%) of 29 patients treated with anti Helicobacter pylori(H pylori) regimen only. | 17 | Estimation of Non-CO_2 GHGs Emissions by Analyzing Burn Severity in the Samcheok Fire,South Korea显示文摘This study was performed to estimate the emission of non-CO 2 greenhouse gases(GHGs) from biomass burning at a large fire area.The extended methodology adopted the IPCC Guidelines(2003) equation for use on data from the Samcheok forest fire gathered using 30 m resolution Landsat TM satellite imagery,digital forest type maps,and growing stock information per hectare by forest type in 1999.Normalized burn ratio(NBR) technique was employed to analyze the area and severity of the Samcheok forest fire that occurred in 2000.The differences between NBR from pre-and post-fire datasets are examined to determine the extent and degree of change detected from burning.The results of burn severity analysis by dNBR of the Samcheok forest fire area revealed that a total of 16,200 ha of forest were burned.The proportion of the area characterized by a 'Low' burn severity(dNBR below 152) was 35%,with 'Moderate'(dNBR 153-190) and 'High'(dNBR 191-255) areas were at 33% and 32%,respectively.The combustion efficiency for burn severity was calculated as 0.43 for crown fire where burn severity was 'High',as 0.40 for 'Moderate' severity,and 0.15 for 'Low' severity surface fire.The emission factors for estimating non-CO 2 GHGs were separately applied to CO 130,CH 4 9,NO x 0.7 and N 2 O 0.11.Non-CO 2 GHGs emissions from biomass burning in the Samcheok forest fire area were estimated to be CO 44.100,CH 4 3.053,NO x 0.238 and N 2 O 0.038 Gg. | WON Myoung Soo KOO Kyo Sang LEE Myung Bo LEE Woo Kyun KANG Kyu-Young | 2012 | Journal of Mountain Science2012，9，6： | 1 |
| 18 | Effect of ischemic preconditioning on antioxidant status in the gerbil hippocampal CA1 region after transient forebrain ischemia显示文摘Ischemic preconditioning(IPC) is a condition of sublethal transient global ischemia and exhibits neuroprotective effects against subsequent lethal ischemic insult.We,in this study,examined the neuroprotective effects of IPC and its effects on immunoreactive changes of antioxidant enzymes including superoxide dismutase(SOD) 1 and SOD2,catalase(CAT) and glutathione peroxidase(GPX) in the gerbil hippocampal CA1 region after transient forebrain ischemia.Pyramidal neurons of the stratum pyramidale(SP) in the hippocampal CA1 region of animals died 5 days after lethal transient ischemia without IPC(8.6%(ratio of remanent neurons) of the sham-operated group);however,IPC prevented the pyramidal neurons from subsequent lethal ischemic injury(92.3%(ratio of remanent neurons) of the sham-operated group).SOD1,SOD2,CAT and GPX immunoreactivities in the sham-operated animals were easily detected in pyramidal neurons in the stratum pyramidale(SP) of the hippocampal CA1 region,while all of these immunoreactivities were rarely detected in the stratum pyramidale at 5 days after lethal transient ischemia without IPC.Meanwhile,their immunoreactivities in the sham-operated animals with IPC were similar to(SOD1,SOD2 and CAT) or higher(GPX) than those in the sham-operated animals without IPC.Furthermore,their immunoreactivities in the stratum pyramidale of the ischemia-operated animals with IPC were steadily maintained after lethal ischemia/reperfusion.Results of western blot analysis for SOD1,SOD2,CAT and GPX were similar to immunohistochemical data.In conclusion,IPC maintained or increased the expression of antioxidant enzymes in the stratum pyramidale of the hippocampal CA1 region after subsequent lethal transient forebrain ischemia and IPC exhibited neuroprotective effects in the hippocampal CA1 region against transient forebrain ischemia. | Seung Min Park Chan Woo Park Tae-Kyeong Lee Jeong Hwi Cho Joon Ha Park Jae-Chul Lee Bai Hui Chen Bich-Na Shin Ji Hyeon Ahn Hyun-Jin Tae Myoung Cheol Shin Taek Geun Ohk Jun Hwi Cho Moo-Ho Won Soo Young Choi In Hye Kim | 2016 | Neural Regeneration Research2016，11，7： | 0 |
