| 1 | Chemical Mechanical Polishing of Glass Substrate with α-Alumina-g-Polystyrene Sulfonic Acid Composite Abrasive显示文摘Abrasive is the one of key influencing factors during chemical mechanical polishing(CMP) process. Currently, α-Alumina (α-Al2O3) particle, as a kind of abrasive, has been widely used in CMP slurries, but their high hardness and poor dispersion stability often lead to more surface defects. After being polished with composite particles, the surface defects of work pieces decrease obviously. So the composite particles as abrasives in slurry have been paid more attention. In order to reduce defect caused by pure α-Al2O3 abrasive, α-alumina-g-polystyrene sulfonic acid (α-Al2O3-g-PSS) composite abrasive was prepared by surface graft polymerization. The composition, structure and morphology of the product were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy(TOF-SIMS), and scanning electron microscopy(SEM), respectively. The results show that polystyrene sulfonic acid grafts onto α-Al2O3, and has well dispersibility. Then, the chemical mechanical polishing performances of the composite abrasive on glass substrate were investigated with a SPEEDFAM-16B-4M CMP machine. Atomic force microscopy(AFM) images indicate that the average roughness of the polished glass substrate surface can be decreased from 0.835 nm for pure α-Al2O3 abrasive to 0.583 nm for prepared α-Al2O3-g-PSS core-shell abrasive. | 3 | Arsenic,Iron and Organic Matter in Quaternary Aquifer Sediments from Western Hetao Basin,Inner Mongolia显示文摘To investigate geochemical and mineralogical features of sediments from aquifers containing high levels of dissolved arsenic(As) in western Hetao Basin, Inner Mongolia, sediment samples were collected for XRD(X-ray diffraction), amorphous Fe/Mn oxides, and humic/fulvic acid analyses, in addition to As determination. In the study area, the total As contents in the sediments were in the range 5.3–28.8 mg/kg; while that associated with humic substances in the range 4–9 mg/kg, accounting for 26%–47% of the total As. The results of XRD analysis suggest that clay and silt contain certain small amounts of iron oxides minerals, such as ferrihydrite, hematite and goethite, whereas have higher As and Fe_2O_3 contents. Up to one third of As in the sediments could be extracted by ammonium oxalate, and high As contents were generally found in organic-rich clay or silty clay samples with high FA/HA ratio. | 8 | High-Affinity Decoy PD-1 Mutant Screened from an Epitope-Specific Cell Library显示文摘Immunotherapy with anti-programmed cell death protein-1(PD-1)/programmed cell death ligand-1(PDL1)monoclonal antibodies has become routine in the treatment of many kinds of human cancers,such as lung cancer,intestinal cancer,and melanoma.The PD-1/PD-L1 pathway inhibits T cell activation in the micro-environment,making it an attractive target against cancer.Wild-type(WT)PD-1 ectodomain has been shown to have difficulty blocking PD-1/PD-L1 mixture formation due to its low affinity.The present work uses three-dimensional(3D)crystal complex structures to analyze the interaction by which PD-1 binds to PD-L1 or PD-L2.It also reports on a theoretical study of the binding mode between PD-1 and its clinical antibody Opdivo.Based on the theoretical binding analysis of PD-1 and its ligands(i.e.,PD-L1 and PD-L2)or antibody(Opdivo),a small-content,epitope-oriented mammalian cell library was established for PD-1.After three rounds of cell sorting,the decoy PD-1 mutant 463,which presented a higher affinity than WT PD-1 to the PD-L1(the affinity has increased by almost three orders of magnitude)was screened out.It exhibited an inhibitory effect against PD-1 to prevent it from forming mixtures with PD-L1,which was similar to the effect of the commercial anti-PD-L1 antibody atezolizumab(ATE).The median effective concentration(EC50)value of the decoy mutant was 0.031 μg·mL^(-1) in comparison with 0.063 μg·mL^(-1) for ATE;both values were much lower than that of WT PD-1,at 2.571 μg·mL^(-1).The 463 decoy mutant reversed the inhibitory function of PD-1 in T cell activation;furthermore,10 mg·kg^(-1) of 463 inhibited about 75%of tumor growth in vivo in a MC38 transgenic xenograft mice model,which was similar to the activity of ATE.More interestingly,an even lower dose of 463(2 mg·kg^(-1))showed a better effect than 10 mg·kg^(-1) of WT PD-1.This work offers the decoy 463 with an improved curative effect,which holds potential to become a good option against PD-1/PD-L1-related cancers. | Hao Liu Chunxia Qiao Naijing Hu Zhihong Wang Jing Wang Jiannan Feng Beifen Shen Yuanfang Ma Longlong Luo | 2021 | Engineering2021,7,11: | 0 |

| 11 | Reliability and consistency assessment of land cover products atmacro and local scales in typical cities显示文摘Urban areas have higher heterogeneity compared to natural areas,it is crucial to assessfine-resolution land cover products and discover how they differ in urban areas so that they can be efficiently used for various application scenarios.In this study,five typical cities in China were chosen as study areas to evaluate four commonly used 30 m land cover products:GLC_FCS30-2020,FROM-GLC30-2017,Globeland30-2020,and CLCD-2019.We analyzed the reliability of these four products using validation samples as well as by examining their area and spatial pattern consistency.Given the limitations of traditional accuracy assessments at the macro level,we added a local area evaluation to further examine the classification details in these products.The macro results indicated that four land cover products within urban areas have a similar overall accuracy,surpassing 76%,but there was a low consistency among them,ranging from 42.21%to 61.13%.The local accuracy assessment illustrated that GLC_FCS30-2020 and FROM-GLC30-2017 performed well in reflecting the intricate details of the city,however,the four products exhibited varying degrees of misclassifications and omissions.These phenomena suggest that more sophisticated algorithms are needed to consider urban particularities sincefine-resolution land cover products may fail to capture complex urban details. | Wenxi Shi Xiang Zhao Jiacheng Zhao Siqing Zhao Yinkun Guo Naijing Liu Na Sun Xiaozheng Du Mengmeng Sun | 2023 | International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1: | 0 |
| 12 | Potential Distribution of Seagrass Meadows Based on the MaxEnt Model in Chinese Coastal Waters显示文摘Seagrass meadows are generally diverse in China and have become important ecosystem with essential functions.However,the seagrass distribution across the seawaters of China has not been evaluated,and the magnitude and direction of changes in seagrass meadows remain unclear.This study aimed to provide a nationwide seagrass distribution map and explore the dynamic changes in seagrass population under global climate change.Simulation studies were performed using the modeling software MaxEnt with 58961 occurrence records and 27 marine environmental variables to predict the potential distribution of seagrasses and calculate the area.Seven environmental variables were excluded from the modeling processes based on a correlation analysis to ensure predicted suitability.The predicted area was 790.09 km^(2),which is much larger than the known seagrass distribution in China(87.65 km^(2)).By 2100,the suitable habitat of seagrass will shift northwest and increase to 923.62 km2.Models of the sum of the individual family under-pre-dicted the national distribution of seagrasses and consistently showed a downward trend in the future.Out of all environmental vari-ables,physical parameters(e.g.,depth,land distance,and sea surface temperature)contributed the most in predicting seagrass distri-butions,and nutrients(e.g.,nitrate,phosphate)ranked among the key influential predictors for habitat suitability in our study area.This study is the first effort to fill a gap in understanding the distribution of seagrasses in China.Further studies using modeling and biological/ecological approaches are warranted. | WANG Ming WANG Yong LIU Guangliang CHEN Yuhu YU Naijing | 2022 | Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,5: | 0 |
