| 1 | Comparison of thermal and light performance in two typical Chinese solar greenhouses in Beijing显示文摘Solar greenhouses have been used for producing vegetables in northern China during early spring,late autumn or over-winter.To improve the thermal performance of solar greenhouses,a traditional type and a retrofitted design were comparatively evaluated.In the retrofitted design,three adjustments were incorporated:the material and structure of the walls,south-facing roof angle,and structure of the north-facing back-roof.The results indicated that the thermal and light performance of the retrofitted greenhouse was much better than that of the traditional greenhouse.Specifically,the daily mean temperature,minimum air temperature,and soil temperature inside the greenhouses after retrofit ting were increased by 1.3,2.4,and 1.9℃,respectively,meanwhile,the daily total solar radiation and PAR were increased by 28.2%and 9.2%,respectively.The wall temperature and its daily variation range were reduced with increasing depth and height.The characteristic analysis of heat storage and release indicated that higher locations have longer heat storage,and shorter heat release time in vertical direction,as well as a lower ratio of heat release to storage.In horizontal direction,the western wall has the shortest heat storage time but the highest heat release flux density.Altogether,the heat storage time of the wall is 1.5 h less than that of the soil.The heat storage flux density of the wall is 1.5 times of that of the soil,but the heat release flux is only 61%of the soil’s value.The total wall heat storage is half of that of the soil in the greenhouse;the total wall heat release amount is only a quarter of that of the soil.Therefore,the thermal environment of solar greenhouses can be further improved by improving the thermal insulation properties of the wall. | Fan Xu Chao Shang Hongling Li Xuzhang Xue Weituo Sun Hong Chen Yinkun Li Zhenhe Zhang Xinxu Li Wenzhong Guo | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,1: | 4 |

| 3 | Abundance and distribution of meiofauna in the Chukchi Sea显示文摘The metazoan meiofauna in the Chukchi Sea were collected from seven shallow water stations(depths ranging 46 to 52 m) and five deep sea stations(depths ranging between 393 and 2 300 m) during the 4th Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition in 2010. The results showed that abundance of meiofauna was higher in shallow water sediments(average of 2 445 ind./(10 cm2)) than in deep sea sediments(407.06 ind./(10 cm2)). A UNIANOVA test for difference between the two different regions was highly significant(F=101.15, p<0.01). Nematodes were numerically dominant, representing(96.6±4.6)% of the total meiofaunal abundance at the shallow water stations and(98.90±1.42)% at deep sea stations. The number of higher taxonomic groups and abundance of meiofauna were higher at Stas CC1, CC4, and R06 near the Bering Strait and the continent, than at the rest of the shallow water and deep sea stations. The primary factors causing the differences were concentrations of nutrients P and Si of bottom seawater(R=0.831, p<0.003), followed by depth(R=-0.655, p<0.05) and sand fractions of sediments(R=0.632, p <0.05). The numbers of meiofauna on the 65 μm and 32 μm sieves were significantly higher than those on the rest of the screens. Differences in numbers of meiofauna retained on screens with different mesh openings were highly significant among all sampling stations(F=31.60, p<0.01). The highest numbers of individuals on screens with 32 μm mesh openings were found at deep sea stations. | 6 | Reliability and consistency assessment of land cover products atmacro and local scales in typical cities显示文摘Urban areas have higher heterogeneity compared to natural areas,it is crucial to assessfine-resolution land cover products and discover how they differ in urban areas so that they can be efficiently used for various application scenarios.In this study,five typical cities in China were chosen as study areas to evaluate four commonly used 30 m land cover products:GLC_FCS30-2020,FROM-GLC30-2017,Globeland30-2020,and CLCD-2019.We analyzed the reliability of these four products using validation samples as well as by examining their area and spatial pattern consistency.Given the limitations of traditional accuracy assessments at the macro level,we added a local area evaluation to further examine the classification details in these products.The macro results indicated that four land cover products within urban areas have a similar overall accuracy,surpassing 76%,but there was a low consistency among them,ranging from 42.21%to 61.13%.The local accuracy assessment illustrated that GLC_FCS30-2020 and FROM-GLC30-2017 performed well in reflecting the intricate details of the city,however,the four products exhibited varying degrees of misclassifications and omissions.These phenomena suggest that more sophisticated algorithms are needed to consider urban particularities sincefine-resolution land cover products may fail to capture complex urban details. | Wenxi Shi Xiang Zhao Jiacheng Zhao Siqing Zhao Yinkun Guo Naijing Liu Na Sun Xiaozheng Du Mengmeng Sun | 2023 | International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1: | 0 |
