1Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 2Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 3Charge density wave and weak Kondo effect in a Dirac semimetal CeSbTe显示文摘Using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy(ARPES) and low-energy electron diffraction(LEED), together with densityfunctional theory(DFT) calculation, we report the formation of charge density wave(CDW) and its interplay with the Kondo effect and topological states in CeSbTe. The observed Fermi surface(FS) exhibits parallel segments that can be well connected by the observed CDWordering vector, indicating that the CDWorder is driven by the electron-phonon coupling(EPC) as a result of the nested FS. The CDW gap is large(~0.3 eV) and momentum-dependent, which naturally explains the robust CDWorder up to high temperatures. The gap opening leads to a reduced density of states(DOS) near the Fermi level(EF), which correspondingly suppresses the many-body Kondo effect, leading to very localized 4 f electrons at 20 K and above. The topological Dirac cone at the X point is found to remain gapless inside the CDW phase. Our results provide evidence for the competition between CDWand the Kondo effect in a Kondo lattice system. 5Identification of candidate genes controlling fiber quality traits in upland cotton through integration of meta-QTL,significant SNP and transcriptomic data显示文摘Background:Meta-analysis of quantitative trait locus(QTL)is a computational technique to identify consensus QTL and refine QTL positions on the consensus map from multiple mapping studies.The combination of meta-QTL intervals,significant SNPs and transcriptome analysis has been widely used to identify candidate genes in various plants.Results:In our study,884 QTLs associated with cotton fiber quality traits from 12 studies were used for meta-QTL analysis based on reference genome TM-1,as a result,74 meta-QTLs were identified,including 19 meta-QTLs for fiber length;18 meta-QTLs for fiber strength;11 meta-QTLs for fiber uniformity;11 meta-QTLs for fiber elongation;and 15 meta-QTLs for micronaire.Combined with 8589 significant single nucleotide polymorphisms associated with fiber quality traits collected from 15 studies,297 candidate genes were identified in the meta-QTL intervals,20 of which showed high expression levels specifically in the developing fibers.According to the function annotations,some of the 20 key candidate genes are associated with the fiber development.Conclusions:This study provides not only stable QTLs used for marker-assisted selection,but also candidate genes to uncover the molecular mechanisms for cotton fiber development.XU Shudi PAN Zhenyuan YIN Feifan YANG Qingyong LIN Zhongxu WEN Tianwang ZHU Longfu ZHANG Dawei NIE Xinhui 2020Journal of Cotton Research2020,3,4:1

7Experimental Research on Dynamic Shear Modular Ratio and Damping Ratio of Sandy Gravel Soil显示文摘The dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio of sandy gravel are important parameters for the seismic response analysis of valley geomorphic sites,which have an important impact on the determination of design ground motion parameters. In this paper,the dynamic triaxial test of sandy gravels has been performed based on the project of the Shangluo Seismic Microzonation. Combined with the other results of sandy gravel,the recommended results of slightly dense,medium dense and dense sandy gravel were obtained. By building the typical site model,the influence of the dynamic shear modulus ratio and the damping ratio uncertainty on the seismic response of the site is studied. The results show that the uncertainty of the average of the dynamic shear modulus ratio and the damping ratio ± 1 times the standard deviation has little effect on the peak acceleration of the sandy gravel site,and the rationality of the grouping and statistical results is explained. Under different probability levels,the change in the shear modulus ratio and damping ratio leads to a significant difference in the high frequency response spectrum.The response spectrum of 0. 04-0. 1s ranges from about 20%,but it has little effect on the long period spectrum of more than 1. 0s. 10Plasma-activated ethanol solution and it's decontamination effect显示文摘Ethanol solution as a disinfectant has been widely used in various fields.However,it has a significant bactericidal capability only when the volume fraction of ethanol is around 70%-75%.For such high concentration of ethanol solution,it has an irritating smell.When it is used for applications such as wound disinfection,it causes a stinging sensation.Low concentrations of ethanol solution are less irritating,but it is also less effective at killing bacteria.In this study,an idea for producing a green,efficient and less irritating disinfectant is proposed.It is based on a plasma-activated low-concentration ethanol solution(PAES).It is found that the plasma-activated 10% volume fraction of ethanol solution can kill more than seven orders of magnitude of Escherichia coli,while the untreated 10% volume fraction of ethanol solution has no bactericidal effect.Besides,the PAES's activity remains unchanged after being stored at -20℃ for three days.Further investigation shows that new compositions including peracetic acid,peroxynitrite,hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid are detected in the PAES,which together are playing the main role of the excellent and prolonged bactericidal effect.YiQian Li JiaLin Liu Feng Zhao Ke Song LanLan Nie DaWei Liu XinPei Lu 2023High Voltage2023,8,4:0
11On the chronological understanding of the homogeneous dielectric barrier discharge显示文摘Dielectric barrier discharges(DBD)are widely utilised non‐equilibrium atmospheric pressure plasmas with a diverse range of applications,such as material processing,surface treatment,light sources,pollution control,and medicine.Over the course of several decades,extensive research has been dedicated to the generation of homogeneous DBD(H‐DBD),focussing on understanding the transition from H‐DBD to filamentary DBD and exploring strategies to create and sustain H‐DBD.This paper first discusses the in-fluence of various parameters on DBD,including gas flow,dielectric material,surface conductivity,and mesh electrode.Secondly,a chronological literature review is presented,highlighting the development of H‐DBD and the associated understanding of its un-derlying mechanisms.This encompasses the generation of H‐DBD in helium,nitrogen,and air.Lastly,the paper provides a brief overview of multiple‐current‐pulse(MCP)behaviours in H‐DBD.The objective of this article is to provide a chronological un-derstanding of homogeneous dielectric barrier discharge(DBD).This understanding will aid in the design of new experiments aimed at better comprehending the mechanisms behind H‐DBD generation and ultimately assist in achieving large‐volume H‐DBD in an air environment.Xinpei Lu Zhi Fang Dong Dai Tao Shao Feng Liu Cheng Zhang Dawei Liu Lanlan Nie Chunqi Jiang 2023High Voltage2023,8,6:0
