| 6 | Effects of atmospheric circulation on summertime precipitation variability and glacier mass balance over the Tuyuksu Glacier in Tianshan Mountains, Kazakhstan显示文摘The amount and the form of precipitation have significant effects on glacier mass balances in high altitude mountain areas by controlling the accumulation, the ablation and the energy balance of a glacier through impact on the surface albedo. The liquid precipitation has negative effects on glacier accumulation and may increase the ablation of surface ice through the heat input for melting. The timing and the forms of precipitation over glacierized regions depend on the weather processes both locally and regionally. Early studies showed that regional to large-scale atmospheric circulation processes play a key role in affecting the precipitation events over glaciers. This paper analyzed the relationship between the inter-annual variability of the summertime precipitation over the Tuyuksu Glacier and the atmospheric circulation types, which related to various atmospheric circulation types in the Northern Hemisphere. Results indicated that the decrease in the duration of zonal processes and the increase in the meridional northern processes were observed in the last decade. The total summer precipitation associated with these processes also increased along with an increase of summertime solid precipitation. | 8 | Obtaining More Information about Precipitation Biases over East Asia from Hourly-Scale Evaluation of Model Simulation显示文摘The hourly summer precipitation simulations over East Asia by the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Science Climate System Model(CAMS-CSM)high-resolution Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project(AMIP)runs(T255,~50 km)were evaluated based on the merged hourly precipitation product released by the China Meteorological Administration(CMA).The results show that the simulation biases are closely related to the topography,with the precipitation amount and frequency overestimated(underestimated),and duration of precipitation events being longer(shorter),over the western high-altitude(eastern plain)regions of China.Six regions with large discrepancies were further analyzed.In terms of the frequency-intensity structure,the overestimation of precipitation frequency is mainly due to the excessive simulated weak precipitation over the four regions with positive biases:the southern edge of the Tibetan Plateau(STP),the northeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau(NETP),the eastern periphery of the Tibetan Plateau(EPTP),and the mountainous area of North China(NCM);while the underestimation of frequency is mainly due to the insufficient precipitation with moderate intensity over the two regions with negative biases:lower reaches of the Yangtze River(LYR)and the South China coast(SCC).Based on the duration-diurnal structure analysis,two kinds of precipitation events with different natures can be distinguished.The long-duration night to early morning precipitation events have a significant contribution to the precipitation amount biases for all the six key regions,and this kind of precipitation mainly affects the precipitation diurnal variation over the mountainous areas or steep terrain.Although the short-duration afternoon precipitation events only have a greater contribution to the precipitation amount biases over the SCC region,this kind of precipitation affects the diurnal variation over the NCM region and the two key regions with negative biases.Such a detailed hourly-scale evaluation is helpful for enriching the understanding of simulation biases and to further improve model performance. | Nina LI Jian LI Xinyao RONG Haoming CHEN Yufei XIN Jingzhi SU | 2020 | Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,3: | 3 |

| 10 | Late Mesozoic rifting and its deep dynamic mechanisms in the central Sulu orogenic belt: Records from Lingshan Island显示文摘The Lingshan Island scientific drill confirms that two episodes(Laiyang period and Qingshan period) of rifting developed in the central Sulu orogenic belt(SOB) in Late Mesozoic. With a set of methods including fieldwork, drilling, core logging, zircon U-Pb dating and whole rock geochemistry applied, the age, the depositional sequence and the deep dynamic mechanisms of rift evolution were unraveled. The stratigraphic sequence of the Laiyang-Qingshan Groups on Lingshan Island was composed of two different rifting sequences:(1) Laiyang Group(147–125 Ma), which consists of deep-water gravity flow deposits with interlayers of intermediate volcanic rocks;and(2) Lower Qingshan Group(125–119 Ma), which unconformably overlies the former sequence and contains subaerial volcanic deposits and terrestrial deposits. The tectonic environment changed during the evolution of these two episodes of rifting: the rift was in a NNW-SSE extensional environment in the Laiyang period and showed the typical passive rifting character that “lithospheric extension and rifting preceded volcanism”. The passive rifting period was ended by a short WNW-ESE compression at about 125 Ma. After that, the tectonic environment transferred to a strong NW-SE extensional environment and the rifting evolved into a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period. The igneous rocks are shoshonitic to high-K calc-alkaline trachyandesites to trachytes with a few intercalated lamprophyres and a rhyolite.The geochemical characteristics of the igneous rocks indicate that they are mantle-derived melts with a metasomatized mantle source and/or crustal contamination. In addition, an increased thinning of the lithosphere happened during the rifting episodes.The low-angle subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate in the Jurassic weakened the thickened SOB lithospheric mantle. The rollback of the subducting plate started in late Jurassic to early Cretaceous, and the SOB lithospheric mantle was delaminated synchronously because of the gravity collapse. Thus, this caused passive rifting in the Laiyang period. Thereafter, the rollback and trench retreat of the high-angle subducting Paleo-Pacific plate would have achieved its climax, resulting in the strong regional extension. Passive rifting was ended by the crustal uplift caused by asthenospheric upwelling beneath the rift. The lower crust was heated by the upwelling asthenosphere and partially melted to form felsic melts, which were emplaced upwards and erupted explosively. The rift evolved into a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period and showed some characteristics of active rifting. Above all, a passive rifting in the Laiyang period and a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period developed successively in the Lingshan Island area(the central SOB). This records the transfer of the study area from the Paleo-Tethys tectonic domain to the circum-Pacific tectonic domain. The delamination of SOB lithospheric mantle and the upwelling of asthenospheric material were the deep dynamic mechanisms driving the development and evolution of two rift episodes. | 11 | Differences in the Rainfall Characteristics between Mount Tai and Its Surrounding Areas显示文摘As a typical small-scale, isolated topography, Mount Tai exhibits great differences in precipitation characteristics from the surrounding areas. It was found that the amount of rainfall occurring over Mount Tai is significantly larger than what is observed in the surrounding areas. Based on hourly rain gauge records for the warm season(May to September) of 1996–2015, differences between Mount Tai and its surrounding areas were further revealed in terms of rainfall diurnal variation, spatial scale, and evolution process. The diurnal variation of the enhancement on rainfall amount exhibit 'dual peaks' occurring in the early morning and afternoon, and the dual peaks are mainly attributable to rainfall frequency. The diurnal phase of the rainfall amount in the surrounding areas lags 1 h behind that over Mount Tai. Regarding differences in rainfall spatial scale, compared to those of surrounding areas, precipitation over Mount Tai is characterized by a smaller coverage, especially in the early morning. Mount Tai also tends to have a kind of unique, small-scale rainfall in the afternoon and at night. Based on statistical analysis of precipitation events,differences in rainfall evolution process were identified as well. Rainfall over Mount Tai often starts earlier in the afternoon and ends later at night than it does in the surrounding areas. Furthermore, nocturnal rainfall events over Mount Tai are prone to peaking over a shorter period and enduring for a longer period after reaching their maximum intensity, compared with nocturnal rainfall events occurring in the surrounding areas. Rainfall events over Mount Tai always last longer, especially those occurring in the early morning. | 13 | Analysis of the HNF4A isoform-regulated transcriptome identifies CCL15 as a downstream target in gastric carcinogenesis显示文摘Objective:Hepatocyte nuclear factor 4α(HNF4 A)has been demonstrated to be an oncogene in gastric cancer(GC).However,the roles of different HNF4 A isoforms derived from the 2 different promoters(P1 and P2)and the underlying mechanisms remain obscure.Methods:The expression and prognostic values of P1-and P2-HNF4 A were evaluated in The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)databases and GC tissues.Then,functional assays of P1-and P2-HNF4 A were conducted both in vivo and in vitro.High-throughput RNA-seq was employed to profile downstream pathways in P1-and P2-HNF4 A-overexpressing GC cells.The expression and gene regulation network of the candidate target genes identified by RNA-seq were characterized based on data mining and functional assays.Results:HNF4 A amplification was a key characteristic of GC in TCGA databases,especially for the intestinal type and early stage.Moreover,P1-HNF4 A expression was significantly higher in tumor tissues than in adjacent non-tumor tissues(P<0.05),but no significant differences were found in P2-HNF4 A expression(P>0.05).High P1-HNF4 A expression indicated poor prognoses in GC patients(P<0.01).Furthermore,P1-HNF4 A overexpression significantly promoted SGC7901 and BGC823 cell proliferation,invasion and migration in vitro(P<0.01).Murine xenograft experiments showed that P1-HNF4 A overexpression promoted tumor growth(P<0.05).Mechanistically,RNA-seq showed that the cytokine-cytokine receptor interactions pathway was mostly enriched in P1-HNF4 A-overexpressing GC cells.Finally,chemokine(C-C motif)ligand 15 was identified as a direct target of P1-HNF4 A in GC tissues.Conclusions:P1-HNF4 A was the main oncogene during GC progression.The cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction pathway played a pivotal role and may be a promising therapeutic target. | Zhen Ni Wenquan Lu Qi Li Chuan Han Ting Yuan Nina Sun Yongquan Shi | 2021 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,2: | 2 |

The mice in all the three groups were infected with Escherichia coli on the 15^(th)day and the 29^(th)day of the experiment,the body weight of the mice in each group was recorded,as well as the spleen index on the 29^(th)day of infection and the 36^(th)day of the experiment,and the anti-E. coli titer in serum was also detected. The results showed that phoshporylated A. blazei polysaccharide could promote and maintain the development of spleen,and improve the immune response of organisms,thereby resisting bacterial infection. In this paper, we first analyse BSR system for different amplitudes of 4-ary PAM signals. The steadystate of the bistable system will be statistically distinct, and the feasibility of the proposed detection scheme is confirmed. On this basis, we present a detailed study on steady-state transitions of the BSR system, and an explicit expression of the bistable system parameters is derived. By setting the bistable system parameters, bistable system, 4-ary PAM signal, and noise reach the resonance state, and the BSR-based detection scheme is implemented. Moreover, we derive an analytical expression to calculate the symbol error rate(SER) of 4-ary PAM signals with the BSR-based detection under additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN). | 20 | Desmoplastic small round cell tumor with atypical immunohistochemical profile and rhabdoid-like differentiation显示文摘Desmoplastic small round cell tumor(DSRCT) is a rare,aggressive malignant neoplasm of unknown origin, and is comprised of small round cells with a characteristic desmoplastic stroma. DSRCT typically expresses epithelial, mesenchymal and neural markers simultaneously. We describe a case of DSRCT with an atypical immunohistochemical profile and rhabdoid-like tumor cells on electron microscopy. In the present case, the neoplastic cells were positive only for vimentin, desmin(cytoplasmic membranous pattern) and CD56,and negative for smooth muscle actin, synaptophysin,CD117, CD45, myogenin, CAM5.2, pancytokeratin,WT1, EMA, CD99, neurofilament, CD34 and p53. Ki67 showed a low proliferative activity. Electron microscopy showed focal rhabdoid differentiation. However, INI-1(SNF-5/BAF47) demonstrated preservation of nuclear positivity in the neoplastic cells. Cytogenetic studies showed translocation t(11;22)(p13;q12) confirming an EWSR1-WT1 translocation characteristic for DSRCT, and t(1;15)(q11;p11.2) of unknown significance.
