Theoretical and numerical research of wire array Z-pinch and dynamic hohlraum at IAPCM显示文摘Dense Z-pinch plasmas are powerful and energy-efficient laboratory sources of X-rays,and show the possibility to drive inertial confinement fusion(ICF).Recent advances in wire-array Z-pinch and Z-pinch dynamic hohlraum(ZPDH)researches at the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics are presented in this paper.Models are setup to study different physical processes.A full circuit model(FCM)was used to study the coupling between Z-pinch implosion and generator discharge.A mass injection model with azimuthal modulation was setup to simulate the wire-array plasma initiation, and the two-dimensional MHD code MARED was developed to investigate the Z-pinch implosion,MRT instability, stagnation and radiation.Implosions of nested and quasi-spherical wire arrays were also investigated theoretically and numerically.Key processes of ZPDH,such as the arrayefoam interaction, formation of the hohlraum radiation,as well as the following capsule ablation and implosion, were analyzed with different radiation magneto-hydrodynamics(RMHD)codes.An integrated 2D RMHD simulation of dynamic hohlraum driven capsule implosion provides us the physical insights of wire-array plasma acceleration, shock generation and propagation, hohlraum formation, radiation ablation, and fuel compression. | Ning Ding Yang Zhang Delong Xiao Jiming Wu Zihuan Dai Li Yin Zhiming Gao Shunkai Sun Chuang Xue Cheng Ning Xiaojian Shu Jianguo Wang | 2016 | Matter and Radiation at Extremes2016,1,3: | 7
Low temperature induces oocytes p34^(cdc2) synthesis and accumulation-the acquisition of competence to resume meiosis in toad oocytes显示文摘Full grown oocytes derived from Bufo Bufo gargarizans rearing at high temperature environment (24℃),never underwent GVBD after progesterone treatment. No p34cdc2, H1 kinase activity was detected in the oocytes after progesterone stimulation or OA microinjection; Western blotting analysis showed that the level of p3cdc2, and p33 in the oocytes are significantly lower than those in the oocytes derived from the hibernating toads (below 10 ℃). 25S-Met incorporation analysis showed that when the oocytes were incubated at 6℃, synthesis of about thirty defferent polypeptides was promoted or induced, including p34cdc2 and some other p13suc1-binding proteins. All these results indicated that a low temperature environment is essential for the oocytes of Bufo Bufo gargarizans to express and store some cell cycle drivers and its regulators, and to gain the maturation competence. These results will also provide a new clue for explaining the molecular mechanisms why gametogenesis of some organisms depends on a relative low temperature and how to maintain the geographical distribution of some animals. | LU JI NING ZHENG GU HONG SHENG CHUANG JU LIU JIA KE TSO (Shanghai Institute of Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai 200031, China)(To whom all correspondence should be addressed, present address: Shanghai Institute of Planned Parenthood | 1996 | Cell Research1996,6,2: | 3

THE COCHlEAR RIBBON SYNAPTIC RESPONSE TO AMINOGIYCOSIDE OTOTOXICITY IN C57BL/6J MICE显示文摘Objective To investigate the early change of cochlear ribbon synapses on inner hair cells in response to aminoglycoside ototoxicity. Methods C57BL/6J mice received intraperitoneal injection of gentamicin(100mg/kg/day), and the apical coil organ of Corti was examined on the 4th, 7th and 10 th day(n=10). Littermates without gentamicin treatment served as controls(n=10). RIBEYE on the presynaptic membrane and AMPA receptors on the postsynaptic membrane were labeled with CtBP2 or GluR2/3 respectively. Three dimension reconstruction was conducted using the 3DS MAX 8.0 software. Results There were no disruptions of outer or inner hair cells in all groups. However, the number of ribbon synapses on cochlear inner hair cells increased significantly within 7 days after gentamicin exposure(P<0.01), followed by a significant decrease after 7 days. Conclusion During the early stage of aminoglycoside ototoxicity, increased population of cochlear ribbon synapses may indicate a significant down-regulation of synaptic function. | LIU Ke ZHAO Ning SHI Chuang WU Nan LIU Huizhan ZHANG Yue YANG Weiyan YANG Shiming | 2014 | Journal of Otology2014,9,1: | 1
Left atrial appendage occlusion in a mirror-image dextrocardia:A case report and review of literature显示文摘BACKGROUND In mirror-image dextrocardia, the anterior-posterior position of the cardiac chambers and great vessels is maintained, but the left-right orientation of the abdominal organs is reversed. The abnormal anatomy of the heart poses surgical challenges and problems in dealing with surgical risk and monitoring complications. There are few reports on closure of the left atrial appendage(LAA)in dextrocardia and no reports on the application of enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)following LAA occlusion(LAAO)procedures.CASE SUMMARY The objective for this case was to ensure perioperative safety and accelerate postoperative recovery from LAAO in a patient with mirror-image dextrocardia.ERAS was guided by the theory and practice of nursing care.Atrial fibrillation was diagnosed in a 77-year-old male patient,in whom LAAO was performed. The 2019 guidelines for perioperative care after cardiac surgery recommend that the clinical nursing procedures for patients with LAAO should be optimized to reduce the incidence of perioperative complications and ensure patient safety.Music therapy can be used throughout perioperative treatment and nursing to improve the anxiety symptoms of patients.CONCLUSION The procedure was uneventful and proceeded without complications.Anxiety symptoms were improved. | Bei Tian Chuang Ma Jin-Wen Su Jun Luo Hong-Xia Sun Jie Su Zhong-Ping Ning | 2022 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2022,10,4: | 1

A Manta Ray-Inspired Biosyncretic Robot with Stable Controllability by Dynamic Electric Stimulation显示文摘Biosyncretic robots, which are new nature-based robots in addition to bionic robots, that utilize biological materials to realize their core function, have been supposed to further promote the progress in robotics.Actuation as the main operation mechanism relates to the robotic overall performance. Therefore, biosyncretic robots actuated by living biological actuators have attracted increasing attention. However, innovative propelling modes and control methods are still necessary for the further development of controllable motion performance of biosyncretic robots. In this work,a muscle tissue-based biosyncretic swimmer with a manta ray.inspired propelling mode has been developed. What is more,to improve the stable controllability of the biosyncretic swimmer,a dynamic control method based on circularly distributed multiple electrodes(CDME)has been proposed. In this method, the direction of the electric field generated by the CDME could be real-time controlled to be parallel with the adtuation tissue of the dynamic swimmer. Therefore, the instability of the tissue actuation induced by the dynamic included angle between the tissue axis and electric field direction could be eliminated. Finally, the biosyncretic robot has demonstrated stable, controllable, and efective swimming,by adjusting the electric stimulation pulse direction, amplitude, and frequency. This work may be beneficial for not only the development of biosyncretic robots but also other related studies including bionic design of soft robots and muscle tissue engineering. | Chuang Zhang Yiwei Zhang Wenxue Wang Ning Xi Lianqing Liu | 2022 | Cyborg and Bionic Systems2022,,1: | 1

Critical importance of current collector property to the performance of flexible electrochemical power sources显示文摘Flexible electrochemical power sources are attracting increasing attentions for their unique advantages like flexibility, shape diversity, light weight and excellent mechanical properties. In this research, we discover that the current collector can dramatically affect the performance of flexible electrochemical power sources with large size. For flexible air-breathing proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), the performance could have more than 8 times increase by only adjusting the directions of current collectors. The different performances of different current collection types are mainly attributed to the diverse lengths of the electron transfer pathways. In addition, the conductivity of current collector can dramatically affect the capability of flexible PEMFCs with large-size. The flexible PEMFCs with thicker carbon nanotube membrane as current collector (low electric resistance) show higher ability. A mathematic model is successfully built in this work to further understand the performance. Moreover, the model and simulation are also applicable to other flexible power sources, such as flexible Li-ion battery and supercapacitor. | Fandi Ning Yangbin Shen Chuang Bai Jun Wei Guanbin Lu Yi Cui Xiaochun Zhou | 2019 | Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,6: | 1

Uncover rock-climbing fish's secret of balancing tight adhesion and fast sliding for bioinspired robots显示文摘The underlying principle of the unique dynamic adaptive adhesion capability of a rock-climbing fish(Beaufortia kweichowensis)that can resist a pull-off force of 1000 times its weight while achieving simultaneous fast sliding(7.83 body lengths per second(BL/S))remains a mystery in the literature. This adhesion-sliding ability has long been sought for underwater robots. However, strong surface adhesion and fast sliding appear to contradict each other due to the need for high surface contact stress. The skillfully balanced mechanism of the tight surface adhesion and fast sliding of the rock-climbing fish is disclosed in this work. The Stefan force(0.1 mN/mm2)generated by micro-setae on pectoral fins and ventral fins leads to a 70 N/m2 adhesion force by conforming the overall body of the fish to a surface to form a sealing chamber. The pull-off force is neutralized simultaneously due to the negative pressure caused by the volumetric change of the chamber. The rock-climbing fish's micro-setae hydrodynamic interaction and sealing suction cup work cohesively to contribute to low friction and high pull-off-force resistance and can therefore slide rapidly while clinging to the surface.Inspired by this unique mechanism,an underwater robot is developed with incorporated structures that mimic the functionality of the rock-climbing fish via a micro-setae array attached to a soft self-adaptive chamber,a setup which demonstrates superiority over conventional structures in terms of balancing tight underwater adhesion and fast sliding. | Wenjun Tan Chuang Zhang Ruiqian Wang Yuanyuan Fu Qin Chen Yongliang Yang Wenxue Wang Mingjun Zhang Ning Xi Lianqing Liu | 2023 | National Science Review2023,10,8: | 0
Design and validation of high speed true random number generators based on prime-length ring oscillators显示文摘This paper presents a wide supply voltage range, high speed true random number generator(TRNG) based on ring oscillators, which have different prime number of inverters. And a simple Von Neumann corrector as post processing is also realized to improve data randomness. Prototypes have been implemented and fabricated in 0.18 μm complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS) technology with a wide range of supply voltage from 1.8 V to 3.6 V. The circuit occupies 4 500 μm2, and dissipates minimum 160 μW of power with sampling frequency of 20 MHz. Output bit rate range is from 100 kbit/s to 20 Mbit/s. Statistical test results, which were achieved from the die Hard battery of tests, demonstrate that output random numbers have a well characteristic of randomness. | Liao Ning Jiang Ding Bai Chuang Zou Xuecheng | 2015 | The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2015,22,4: | 0
