| 2 | Is toxoplasmosis a potential risk factor for liver cirrhosis?显示文摘Objective:To document Toxoplasma gondii(T.gondii) antibody status in patients with liver disease,blood samples were taken from 180 hepatic patients and 180 healthy controls.Methods:Toxoplasma IgG antibody was detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and histopathological assessment of liver biopsy METAVIR score was applied.Results:Anti-T.gondii IgG antibodies were found in 32.8%of patients and in 22.2%of controls(P=0.02).Toxoplasma seropositivity was significantly associated with lymphadenopathy,history of blood transfusion and reflex impairment in patients.Chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV)and chronic HCV-related cirrhosis groups compared to chronic HBV and chronic HBV-related cirrhosis groups expressed significantly higher prevalence of T.gondii seropositivity(odds ratio(OR) =4;95%confidence interval(CI):1.3-12.6;P=0.013,OR=4.8;95%CI:1.5-14.9;P=0.006,respectively).Within the chronic HCV group,T.gondii seropositivity significantly associated disease evolution as regards to METAVIR histopathological system for fibrosis and inflammation(OR=19.4;95%CI:2.3-165.2;P=0.0008,OR=0.29;95%CI:0.1-0.8;P=0.01,respectively).Albumin,international normalized ratio(INR) and platelets count were the laboratory parameters significantly altered in Toxoplasma-positrvc chronic HCV patients(P=0.00 l,0.03,0.04,respectively).Child-Pugh scoring for cirrhosis in chronic HCV group placed the majority of seropositive patient in class C with significant statistical difference compared to Child A reference group(OR= 0.08;95%67:0.01-0.5;P=0.003).Conclusions:Toxoplasma seropositivity was high in patients with cirrhosis and associated higher grades of inflammation and necrosis signifying disease evolution,suggesting that cirrhotic patients may thus form a risk group for toxoplasmosis. | Abeer Abd El-Rehim El-Henawy Ahmed Abdel-Razik Sahar Zakaria Dina Elhammady Niveen Saudy Manar Sobh Azab | 2015 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2015，8，10： | 4 |
| 3 | Pillararene-based supramolecular systems for theranostics and bioapplications显示文摘As an emerging type of important macrocycles for supramolecular chemistry,pillararenes and their derivatives have been widely studied and applied in numerous fields,which intensively promotes the development of chemistry,materials science and biology.Pillararene-based theranostic systems are of special interest in the biological and medical areas as they have shown very promising results.Owing to easy preparation,reliable guest affinity,good biocompatibility and stability,pillararenes are frequently used to construct functional biomaterials.On one hand,pillararenes can either be used individually or form diversiform self-assemblies such as micelles,nanoparticles and vesicles to increase water solubility and biocompatibility of drugs.On the other hand,it is promising to modify solid materials like framework materials,silica nanoparticles and graphene oxides with pillararene derivatives to enhance their functions and controllability.In this review,we summarize recent endeavors of pillararene-based supramolecular systems with theranostics and other biological applications comprising drug delivery/chemotherapy,photodynamic/photothermal therapy,antimicrobials,bioimaging,etc.By introducing several typical examples,the design principles,preparation strategies,identifications and bio-applications of these pillararene-based supramolecular systems are described.Future challenges and directions of this field are also outlined. | Huangtianzhi Zhu Qi Li Laila E.Khalil-Cruz Niveen M.Khashab Guocan Yu Feihe Huang | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021，64，5： | 4 |

| 5 | Spectrofluorimetric method for determination of some angiotensin II receptor antagonists显示文摘A simple, rapid, accurate and highly sensitive spectrofluorimetric method has been developed for determination of some angiotensin II receptor antagonists (AIIRA's), namely Losartan potassium (Los-K), Irbesartan (Irb), Valsartan (Val) and Candesartan cilexetil (Cand) in pure forms as well as in their pharmaceutical dosage forms. All the variables affecting the relative fluorescence intensity (RFI) were studied and optimized. Under the optimum conditions, linear relationships with good correlation coefflcients (0.9982-0.9991) were obtained over the concentration range from 0.006 mg/mL to 1.7 mg/mL. Good accuracy and precision were successfully obtained for the analysis of tablets containing each drug alone or combined with hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) without interferences from the co-formulated HCTZ or the additives commonly present in tablets. | Salwa R. | 6 | Selective micellar electrokinetic chromatographic method for simultaneous determination of some pharmaceutical binary mixtures containing non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs显示文摘A simple and selective micellar electrokinetic chromatographic (MEKC) method has been developed for the analysis of five pharmaceutical binary mixtures containing three non-steroidal anti- inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The investigated mixtures were Ibuprofen (IP)-Paracetamol (PC), Ibuprofen (IP)-Chlorzoxazone (CZ), Ibuprofen (IP)-Methocarbamol (MC), Ketoprofen (KP)-Chlorzoxazone (CZ) and Diclofenac sodium (DS)-Lidocaine hydrochloride (LC). The separation was run for all mixtures using borate buffer (20 mM, pH 9) containing 15% (v/v) methanol and 100 mM sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) at 15 kV and the components were detected at 214 nm. Different factors affecting the electrophoretic mobility of the seven investigated drugs were studied and optimized. The method was validated according to international conference of harmonization (ICH) guidelines and United States pharmacopoeia (USP). The method was applied to the analysis of five pharmaceutical binary mixtures in their dosage forms. | 8 | Kinetic spectrophotometric method for determination of amlodipine besylate in its pharmaceutical tablets显示文摘A simple and sensitive kinetic spectrophotometric method has been developed and validated for determination of amlodipine besylate(AML).The method was based on the condensation reaction of AML with 7-chloro-4-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole in an alkaline buffer(pH 8.6) producing a highly colored product.The color development was monitored spectrophometrically at the maximum absorption λmax 470 nm.The factors affecting the reaction were studied and the conditions were optimized.The stoichiometry of the reaction was determined,and the reaction pathway was postulated.Moreover,both the activation energy and the specific rate constant(at 70 ℃) of the reaction were found to be 6.74 kcal mole-1 and 3.58 s-1,respectively.The initial rate and fixed time methods were utilized for constructing the calibration graphs for the determination of AML concentration.Under the optimum reaction conditions,the limits of detection and quantification were 0.35 and 1.05 μg/mL,respectively.The precision of the method was satisfactory;the relative standard deviations were 0.85-1.76%.The proposed method was successfully applied to the analysis of AML in its pure form and tablets with good accuracy;the recovery percentages ranged from 99.55±1.69% to 100.65±1.48%.The results were compared with that of the reported method. | Ashraf M.Mahmoud Hanaa M.Abdel-Wadood Niveen A.Mohamed | 2012 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2012，2，5： | 1 |
