| 6 | Barcelona clinic liver cancer nomogram and others staging/scoring systems in a French hepatocellular carcinoma cohort显示文摘AIM To compare the performances of the Barcelona clinic liver cancer(BCLC) nomogram and others systems(BCLC, HKLC, CLIP, NIACE) for survival prediction in a large hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) French cohort.METHODS Data were collected retrospectively from 01/2007 to 12/2013 in five French centers. Newly diagnosed HCC patients were analyzed. The discriminatory ability, homogeneity ability, prognostic stratification ability Akaike information criterion(AIC) and C-index were compared among scoring systems. RESULTS The cohort included 1102 patients, mostly men, median age 68 [60-74] years with cirrhosis(81%), child-Pugh A(73%), alcohol-related(41%), HCV-related(27%). HCC were multinodular(59%) and vascular invasion was present in 41% of cases. At time of HCC diagnosis BCLC stages were A(17%), B(16%), C(60%) and D(7%). First line HCC treatment was curative in 23.5%, palliative in 59.5%, BSC in 17% of our population. Median OS was 10.8 mo [4.9-28.0]. Each system distinguished different survival prognosis groups(P < 0.0001). The nomogram had the highest discriminatory ability, the highest C-index value. NIACE score had the lowest AIC value. The nomogram distinguished sixteen different prognosis groups. By classifying unifocal large HCC into tumor burden 1, the nomogram was less powerful. CONCLUSION In this French cohort, the BCLC nomogram and the NIACE score provided the best prognostic information, but the NIACE could even help treatment strategies. | Xavier Adhoute Guillaume Pénaranda Jean Luc Raoul Julien Edeline Jean-Frédéric Blanc Bernard Pol Manuela Campanile HervéPerrierO livier Bayle Olivier Monnet Patrick Beaurain Cyril Muller Paul Castellani Yves Patrice Le Treut Jean Pierre Bronowicki Marc Bourlière | 2017 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2017,23,14: | 1 |

| 9 | Heinrichsia cheilanthoides gen. et sp. nov., a fossil fern in the family Pteridaceae (Polypodiales) from the Cretaceous amber forests of Myanmar显示文摘Divergence time estimates suggest that most clades constituting the fern family Pteridaceae (Polypodiales) were in existence by the Early Cretaceous. However, fossil evidence to corroborate this remains exceedingly rare. Burmese amber is an important source of new information on the radiation of derived fern lineages during the Cretaceous Terrestrial Revolution. This study describes Heinrichsia cheilanthoides gen. et sp. nov., a fern with suggested affinities to Pteridaceae, based on fertile foliage portions preserved in Early Cretaceous (~100?Ma) amber from Myanmar. Heinrichsia cheilanthoides is characterized by a pinnate‐pinnatifid frond that bears apical, marginal sori protected by a pseudoindusium. Sporangia are of the polypod type and contain tetrahedral‐globose, trilete spores with a striate perine. This discovery provides a new calibration point to test and refine molecular clock‐based concepts of the evolutionary history of the Pteridaceae. Heinrichsia cheilanthoides further substantiates the suggestion that the Cretaceous forests of Myanmar were home to a rich fern flora. | Ledis Regalado Alexander R. | 15 | The Alpine Seed Conservation and Research Network–a new initiative to conserve valuable plant species in the European Alps显示文摘Safeguarding plants as seeds in ex situ collections is a cost effective element in an integrated plant conservation approach. The European Alps are a regional centre of plant diversity.Six institutions have established a regional network covering the European Alps which will conserve at least 500 priority plant species and which will improve the conservation status of plant species in grassland communities in the subalpine, alpine and nival altitudinal belts.Targeted research will expand the knowledge of the ecology of target species.Public engagement activities will raise the awareness for the importance of specific conservation actions in the European Alps. | MULLER Jonas V BERG Christian DETRAZ-MEROZ Jacqueline ERSCHBAMER Brigitta FORT Noemie LAMBELET-HAUETER Catherine MARGREITER Vera MOMBRIAL Florian MONDONI Andrea PAGITZ Konrad PORRO Francesco ROSSI Graziano SCHWAGER Patrick BREMAN Elinor | 2017 | Journal of Mountain Science2017,14,4: | 0 |
| 16 | Safe operation of online learning data driven model predictive control of building energy systems显示文摘Model predictive control is a promising approach to reduce the CO 2 emissions in the building sector. However, the vast modeling effort hampers the widescale practical application.Here,data-driven process models, like artificial neural networks, are well-suited to automatize the modeling. However, the underlying data set strongly determines the quality and reliability of artificial neural networks. In general, the validity domain of a machine learning model is limited to the data that was used to train it.Predictions based on system states outside that domain,so-called extrapolations, are unreliable and can negatively influence the control quality. We present a safe operation approach combined with online learning to deal with extrapolation in data-driven model predictive control. Here, the k-nearest neighbor algorithm is used to detect extrapolation to switch to a robust fallback controller.By continuously retraining the artificial neural networks during operation,we successively increase the validity domain of the artificial neural networks and the control quality. We apply the approach to control a building energy system provided by the BOPTEST framework. We compare controllers based on two data sets, one with extensive system excitation and one with baseline operation. The system is controlled to a fixed temperature set point in baseline operation. Therefore, the artificial neural networks trained on this data set tend to extrapolate in other operating points. We show that safe operation in combination with online learning significantly improves performance. | Phillip Stoffel Patrick Henkel Martin Ratz Alexander Kumpel Dirk Muller | 2023 | Energy and AI2023,14,4: | 0 |
