2Temperature action and effect of concrete-filled steel tubular bridges:A review显示文摘Concrete-filled steel tube(CFST)has been widely applied in bridges due to its excellent structural and constructional performance.In CFST bridges,temperature action is not only an important but also a special load that must be considered in bridge design,construction and structural evaluation.This paper presents an overview on current researches of the temperature action and effect of CFST bridges.The historical and spatial characteristics as well as corresponding influencing factors of temperature distributions are summarized,and classifications of temperature actions are also reviewed.Results show that in-depth investigations of the contributions of temperature influencing factors can help to effectively reduce the adverse temperature effects on CFST bridges in the design stage.Due to the lack of long-term measurements and insufficient use of historical meteorological data,research on the representative value along with correlation analysis of CFST temperature actions and meteorological parameters have to be further carried out.In the meanwhile,a decomposition method of temperature distribution is proposed based on structural effects of CFST bridges in this paper.The decomposed temperature actions can be used for more accurate effect calculation than traditional temperature action classification method,especially for CFST truss bridges.At last,specific temperature action patterns still need to be investigated in some of the special problems,such as longitudinal temperature differences along the CFST arch rib and thermal debonding in the CFST interface.Further investigations are required on the accurate simulation of temperature distribution of CFST bridges considering the shading effects of components and terrain.Jiang Liu Yongjian Liu Chenyu Zhang Qiuhong Zhao Yi Lyu Lei Jiang 2020Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2020,7,2:15
3Constrained large-eddy simulation and detached eddy simulation of flow past a commercial aircraft at 14 degrees angle of attack显示文摘With the development of computational power and numerical algorithms,computational fluid dynamics(CFD) has become an important strategy for the design of aircraft,which significantly reduces the reliance on wind-tunnel and flight tests.In this paper,we conducted a numerical investigation on the flow past a full commercial aircraft at Mach number 0.2 and 14 degrees angle of attack by means of Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS),detached-eddy simulation(DES) and our newly developed constrained large-eddy simulation(CLES).The objective of this paper is to study the capability of these models in simulating turbulent flows.To our knowledge,this is the first large-eddy simulation method for full commercial aircraft simulation.The results show that the CLES can predict the mean statistical quantities well,qualitatively consistent with traditional methods,and can capture more small-scale structures near the surface of the aircraft with massive separations.Our study demonstrates that CLES is a promising alternative for simulating real engineering turbulent flows.CHEN ShiYi CHEN YingChun XIA ZhenHua QU Kun SHI YiPeng XIAO ZuoLi LIU QiuHong CAI QingDong LIU Feng LEE Cunbiao ZHANG RiKui CAI JinSheng 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,2:14

5Effects of high temperature on the microstructure and mechanical behavior of hard coal显示文摘Coal is a common porous sedimentary rock whose microstructure and mechanical behavior are often affected by high temperature.In order to deeply investigate the effect of high temperature on the structure and mechanical properties of coal,six groups of coal samples with different heating temperatures were prepared.Various testing methods,including ultrasonic test,scanning electron microscopy,nuclear magnetic resonance and uniaxial compression test,were used in this study.The results showed that the physical and chemical change processes of coal samples under high temperature can be divided into two stages:the stage of drying and degassing and the stage of pyrolysis of the coal matrix.With the increase of heating temperature,the total porosity of coal samples increases,while the integrity and the deformation resistance of coal samples decrease.In addition,the elastic modulus and uniaxial compressive strength of the coal sample decrease with the increase of heating temperature.The Poisson’s ratio decreases firstly and then increases with the increase of heating temperature.Chengdong Su Jiadong Qiu Qiuhong Wu Lei Weng 2020International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,5:11
6Experimental Study on Characteristics of Cathode Fan Systems of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells显示文摘对自制的阴极开放式自增湿型质子交换膜燃料电池阴极风扇系统不同工作模式下电池的空气流量分布及温度分布开展了实验研究。采用testo435多功能测量仪测量不同工作模式下电池阴极的空气流速;采用FLUKETi25红外温度成像仪测量不同操作模式下电池的表面温度分布。实验结果表明:阴极风扇系统不同的工作模式(“吸”和“吹”)会造成空气流量分布及温度分布不同。风扇工作在“吸.”模式下,燃料电池的表面工作温度分布和空气流量分布更均匀,性能更好;电池表面工作温度分布与流过电池阴极的空气流量具有一致性。该研究对于阴极开放式燃料电池性能研究及寻求电池系统效率、性能、温湿度等整体最优具有一定的指导和参考价值。ZHU Xingguang JIA Qiuhong CHEN Tanglong HAN Ming DENG Bin 2013中国电机工程学报2013,33,11:9
7Effect of CO_2 on explosion limits of flammable gases in goafs显示文摘In order to reduce the number of accidents due to explosions of flammable gases in the goaf of coalmines,the conditions for explosion of flammable gases and their explosion limits,affected to a considerable extent by CO2,are explored.With the use of our experimental equipment suitable for the study of explosion of polybasic explosive gas mixtures,we investigated the effect of CH4/H2=10/1 and CH4/C2H4=10/1 gases mixed with CO2 on their explosion limits.The results indicate that after adding CO2,the explosion limit of the CH4/H2(or C2H4) =10/1 gas mixtures decreased markedly with increasing amounts of CO2.When the amount of CO2 exceeded 25%,the CH4/C2H4=10/1 flammable gas mixture did not lead to explosions.Similar results were obtained when the amount of CO2 exceeded 23% in the CH4/H2=10/1 flammable gas mixture.We also compared the explosion limits and the explosion suppression effect of N2 or CO2 on the explosion limits of the CH4+CO and CH4+C2H4 dual explosive gas mixtures.Along with the increases in the amounts of CO2 or N2,the area of the explosion limits of gas mixtures decreased.Under the same conditions,the explosion suppression effect of CO2 was greater than that of N2.CO2 has clearly the better suppression effect on the explosion of flammable gases in goafs.MA, Li XIAO, Yang DENG, Jun WANG, Qiuhong 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,2:9
8Flame propagation characteristics and flame structures of zirconium particle cloud in a small-scale chamber显示文摘Flame propagating through zirconium particle cloud in a small-scale vertical rectangle chamber was investigated experimentally.In the experiments,the zirconium quoted 99% purity was used and the diameter of particles was distributed 1-22 μm.The zirconium dust was dispersed into the chamber by air flow and ignited by an electrode spark.A high-speed video camera was used to record the images of the propagating flame.Micro-thermocouples,schlieren optical system and microscopic lens were used to obtain temperature profiles and flame structure,respectively.Based on the experimental results,flame propagation characteristics and flame structure of zirconium particle cloud were analyzed.The propagation velocity of the flame is quite slow in the initial 14 ms and then accelerates to maximum value.Subsequently,the propagation velocity of the flame almost keeps constant.The combustion zone width of zirconium particle cloud is 5-6 mm.Smaller particles burn mainly at the leading edge of combustion zone in the width of 1.4 mm followed by larger particles burning 1.4-6 mm behind the leading edge of the combustion zone.Gas phase flame is not seen in zirconium particle cloud and the combustion time of single zirconium particle is 1-5 ms,which depends on its original size.The preheated zone is 7-8 mm thickness ahead of the combustion zone and intensive chemical reaction takes place at 490 K.The maximum flame temperature increases at lower concentrations,reaches the maximum value,and then decreases slightly at higher concentrations.DING YiBin SUN JinHua HE XueChao WANG QiuHong YIN Yi XU Yao Chen XianFeng 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,34:8
9Wheat powdery mildew resistance gene Pm64 derived from wild emmer (Triticum turgidum var.dicoccoides) is tightly linked in repulsion with stripe rust resistance gene Yr5显示文摘Stripe rust and powdery mildew are both devastating diseases for durum and common wheat.Pyramiding of genes conferring resistance to one or more diseases in a single cultivar is an important breeding approach to provide broader spectra of resistances in wheat improvement. A new powdery mildew resistance gene originating from wild emmer(Triticum turgidum var.dicoccoides) backcrossed into common wheat(T. aestivum) line WE35 was identified. It conferred an intermediate level of resistance to Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici isolate E09 at the seedling stage and a high level of resistance at the adult plant stage. Genetic analysis showed that the powdery mildew resistance in WE35 was controlled by a dominant gene designated Pm64. Bulked segregant analysis(BSA) and molecular mapping indicated that Pm64 was located in chromosome bin 2 BL4-0.50–0.89. Polymorphic markers were developed from the corresponding genomic regions of Chinese Spring wheat and wild emmer accession Zavitan to delimit Pm64 to a 0.55 cM genetic interval between markers WGGBH1364 and WGGBH612, corresponding to a 15 Mb genomic region on Chinese Spring and Zavitan 2 BL, respectively. The genetic linkage map of Pm64 is critical for fine mapping and cloning. Pm64 was completely linked in repulsion with stripe rust resistance gene Yr5. 10Assessment of structural stability in Bohai Sea area based on AHP-GDM model显示文摘The AHP-GDM model is used for the assessment of structural stability, with the Bohai Sea area as an example. In this model, the credit degree of each expert is calculated through the assessment matrix based on the similarity and diversity of vector. The comprehensive opinions of expert panel are quantitatively obtained by considering the effect of credit degree. According to the geological structural setting, the Bohai Sea is divided into twelve assessment zones of structural stability by non-uniform element method. The structural stability grade of each zone is obtained on the basis of the latest geophysical data, earthquake statistical data, and the information of fault activities, current stress field and crustal deformation. The results show that there are one relatively stable area, three relatively sub-stable areas, six relatively sub-unstable areas and two relatively unstable areas. The assessment results of non-uniform element method are very close with those of uniform grid method with size of 0.25° in longitude direction and 0.14° in latitude direction. However the workload of non-uniform element method is only 1/16 of the latter. 11Microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-4.0Zn alloy reinforced by NiO-coated CNTs显示文摘Mg-4.0Zn alloy composite reinforced by NiO-coated CNTs(NiO@CNTs) was synthesized by combining ball-milling and a casting process. The yield strength(YS) and elongation to failure of the composite were dramatically increased by 44.9% and 38.6%, respectively, compared to its alloy counterpart. The significantly enhanced mechanical properties of the as-synthesized composite are mainly ascribed to an improved interfacial bond, grain refinement and good dispersion of CNTs in the matrix via. coating NiO on CNTs.It is shown that the NiO-nanolayer on the CNTs significantly enhances the interfacial bonding strength and effectively prevents the agglomeration of CNTs. 12Assessment of genetic diversity in the forest musk deer (Moschus berezovskii) using microsatellite and AFLP markers显示文摘Microsatellite genotyping and amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) techniques are often utilized in studies of conservation genetics of endangered animals. To select a more effective marker system for conserving the endangered forest musk deer, we used microsatellite and AFLP markers to estimate levels of genetic diversity of two populations, the pure mother Jinfengshan (JFS) group and the offspring Baisha (BS) group with introduction of new blood. It was expected that JFS would pos- sess significantly higher genetic variability than BS if it is assumed that no new deer were introduced into BS. The results revealed that the 15 microsatellite markers produced 141 alleles and the 22 AFLP primer combinations yielded 908 polymorphic bands, showing that AFLPs had higher resolving power than microsatellites. Nonetheless, compared with other deer, both marker systems indicated that the forest musk deer contains a relatively high level of genetic variation. The 15 microsatellite loci indicated a similar level of genetic diversity was present in the JFS and BS populations, seemingly suggesting that the new blood obviously elevated the level of genetic diversity in BS. However, 22 suites of AFLP markers yielded a significantly higher level of genetic variation in JFS than that in BS, in contrast to the diversity pattern of microsatellites. In view of the difference in resolving power of these two marker systems, we conclude that gene introgression was limited in the BS population, as revealed by the AFLP markers. 13Synthesis and luminescent properties of Ln^(3+) (Ln^(3+)=Eu^(3+),Dy^(3+))-doped Bi_2ZnB_2O_7 phosphors显示文摘The new phosphors Bi2ZnB2O7:Ln3+ (Ln3+=Eu3+,Dy3+) were synthesized by solid-state reaction technique.The obtained phosphors were investigated by means of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD),photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra with the aim of enhancing the fundamental knowledge about the luminescent properties of Eu3+ and Dy3+ ions in the Bi2ZnB2O7 host lattice.XRD analysis shows that all these compounds are of a single phase of Bi2ZnB2O7.The excitation and emission spectra of Bi2ZnB2O7:Ln3+ (Ln3+=Eu3+,Dy3+) at room temperature show the typical 4f-4f transitions of Eu3+ and Dy3+,respectively.The hypersensitive transitions of 5D0→7F2 (Eu3+) and 4F9/2→6H13/2 (Dy3+) are relatively higher than those of the insensitive transitions in Bi2ZnB2O7.It is conceivable that the Bi2ZnB2O7 structure provides asymmetry sites for activators (Eu3+,Dy3+).The optimum concentrations of Eu3+ and Dy3+ ions in Bi2ZnB2O7 phosphors are both x=0.05.Zhang, Qiuhong Wang, Jing Ni, Haiyong Wang, Linglia 2012Rare Metals2012,31,1:7
14Systemic induction of H_(2)O_(2) in pea seedlings pretreated by wounding and exogenous jasmonic acid显示文摘Pea seedlings (Pisum sativum L.) were used as materials to test the timings and compartments of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) triggered by wounding and exogenous jasmonic acid (JA). The results showed that H2O2 could be systemically induced by wounding and exogenous JA. H2O2 increased within 1 h and reached the peak 3―5 h after wounding in either the wounded leaves or the unwounded leaves adjacent to the wounded ones and the inferior leaves far from the wounded ones. After this, H2O2 decreased and recovered to the control level 12 h after wounding. The activities of antioxidant enzymes, however, were rapidly increased by wounding. Diphenylene iodonium (DPI), an inhibitor of NADPH oxidase, could significantly inhibit H2O2 burst that was mediated by wounding and exogenous JA. Assay of H2O2 subcellular location showed that H2O2 in response to wounding and exogenous JA was predominantly accumulated in plasma membrane, cell wall and apoplasmic space. 15Coefficient of earth pressure at rest for normal,consolidated soils显示文摘In this study consecutive consolidated isotropically drained triaxial tests for the coefficient of earth pressure at rest(K_0) were carried out to investigate its rules of evolution as well as its strength characteristics for normal,consolidated saturated silt under high pressure.The tests results indicate that:1) for normal,consolidated saturated silt,K_0 values increase as the consolidation stress increases at high pressure levels,while the nonlinear characteristics of K_0 are inconspicuous compared to cohesive soils;2) the Jaky and Roscoe equations,used to calculate K_0,are only suitable for certain soils,but cannot represent these values for normal, consolidated saturated silt due to the variation in bilinear strength at high pressure;and 3) there are close relations between the nonlinear characteristics of K_0 and the void ratio,measured in the tests.Both share the same functional form while under pressure. 16Spatiotemporal Variations of Meteorological Droughts in China During 1961–2014: An Investigation Based on Multi-Threshold Identification显示文摘As a major agricultural country, China suffers from severe meteorological drought almost every year.Previous studies have applied a single threshold to identify the onset of drought events, which may cause problems to adequately characterize long-term patterns of droughts.This study analyzes meteorological droughts in China based on a set of daily gridded(0.5° 9 0.5°) precipitation data from 1961 to 2014. By using a multi-threshold run theory approach to evaluate the monthly percentage of precipitation anomalies index(Pa), a drought events sequence was identified at each grid cell. The spatiotemporal variations of drought in China were further investigated based on statistics of the frequency, duration,severity, and intensity of all drought events. Analysis of the results show that China has five distinct meteorological drought-prone regions: the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, Northeast China, Southwest China, South China coastal region,and Northwest China. Seasonal analysis further indicates that there are evident spatial variations in the seasonal contribution to regional drought. But overall, most contribution to annual drought events in China come from the winter. 17Runout prediction and dynamic characteristic analysis of a potential submarine landslide in Liwan 3-1 gas field显示文摘A large number of submarine landslides with different scales have been identified in the canyon area of the submarine pipeline route of Liwan 3-1 gas field. There is still much chance that submarine slope failures would happen, and the following mass movement would present great risk to the submarine pipeline. In view of this, a numerical prediction method based on Eulerian-Eulerian two-phase flow model is introduced to simulate the mass movement of potential submarine landslides. The sliding soil and ambient water are respectively simulated by Herschel-Bulkley rheology model and Newtonian fluid model. The turbulence is simulated using the k-e model. Compared with both the experiment data and Bing result, the two-phase flow model shows a good accuracy, and its result is more close to the actual situation; the dynamic coupling between soil and ambient water can be effectively simulated and the phenomena of hydroplaning and head detachment can be obtained.Finally, the soil movement of a potential submarine landslide is simulated as an example, according to the seismic profile in the canyon area. The result shows that the hydroplaning occurs during the movement process. The runout distance calculated by the two-phase flow model is 877 m, which is 27.1% larger than the Bing result.However, the peak front velocity of soil is relative small, with a maximum value of 8.32 m/s. 18Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). 20Isolation and characterization of class Ⅰ MHC genes in the giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca)显示文摘Artificial breeding is an important project to protect,recover and reintroduce endangered species.Knowledge of the population's genetic diversity at functional loci is important for the establishment of effective captive breeding programs.The major histocompatibility complex(MHC) genes are ideal candidate genetic markers to inform planned breeding,due to their high levels of polymorphism and importance in the main immune coding region of the vertebrate genome.In this study,we constructed BAC-based contigs and isolated six functional MHC class Ⅰ genes from the giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca),which we designated Aime-C,Aime-F,Aime-I,Aime-K,Aime-L and Aime-1906.Analyses of the tissue expression patterns and full-length cDNA sequences of these class I genes revealed that Aime-C,-F,-I and-L could be considered classical class Ⅰ loci,due to their extensive expression patterns and normal exonic structures.In contrast,Aime-K and-1906 appeared to be nonclassical genes based on their tissue-specific expression patterns and the presence of an abnormal exon 7 in both genes.We established techniques for genotyping exons 2 and 3 of the classical loci using locus-specific single strand conformation polymorphism(SSCP) and sequence analysis.In the Chengdu captive population,we identified one monomorphic locus(Aime-F) and three polymorphic loci with different numbers of alleles(4/4/4 exon 2 alleles at Aime-C/I/L and 6/5/5 exon 3 alleles at Aime-C/I/L).The distributions of the Aime-C,-I and-L alleles among members of different families were in good agreement with the known pedigree relationships,suggesting that the genotyping results are reliable.Therefore,the MHC-I genotyping techniques established in this study may provide a powerful tool for the future design of scientific breeding or release/reintroduction programs.ZHU Ying SUN DanDan GE YunFa YU Bin CHEN YiYan WAN QiuHong 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,17:5
