Dynamic Calibration of the Cutting Temperature Sensor of NiCr/NiSi Thin-film Thermocouple显示文摘In high-speed cutting, natural thermocouple, artificial thermocouple and infrared radiation temperature measurement are usually adopted for measuring cutting temperature, but these methods have difficulty in measuring transient temperature accurately of cutting area on account of low response speed and limited cutting condition. In this paper, NiCr/NiSi thin-film thermocouples(TFTCs) are fabricated according to temperature characteristic of cutting area in high-speed cutting by means of advanced twinned microwave electro cyclotron resonance(MW-ECR) plasma source enhanced radio frequency(RF) reaction non-balance magnetron sputtering technique, and can be used for transient cutting temperature measurement. The time constants of the TFTCs with different thermo-junction film width are measured at four kinds of sampling frequency by using Ultra-CFR short pulsed laser system that established. One-dimensional unsteady heat conduction model is constructed and the dynamic performance is analyzed theoretically. It can be seen from the analysis results that the NiCr/NiSi TFTCs are suitable for measuring transient temperature which varies quickly, the response speed of TFTCs can be obviously improved by reducing the thickness of thin-film, and the area of thermo-junction has little influence on dynamic response time. The dynamic calibration experiments are made on the constructed dynamic calibration system, and the experimental results confirm that sampling frequency should be larger than 50 kHz in dynamic measurement for stable response time, and the shortest response time is 0.042 ms. Measurement methods and devices of cutting heat and cutting temperature measurement are developed and improved by this research, which provide practical methods and instruments in monitoring cutting heat and cutting temperature for research and production in high-speed machining.CUI Yunxian YANG Deshun JIA Ying ZENG Qiyong SUN Baoyuan 2011Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,1:15
Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell transplantation for treatment of spinal cord injury An in vivo magnetic resonance imaging tracking study显示文摘Non-invasive tracing in vivo can be used to observe the migration and distribution of grafted stem cells, and can provide experimental evidence for treatment. This study utilized adenovirus-carrying enhanced green fluorescent protein(AD5/F35-eGFP) and superparamagnetic iron oxide(SPIO)-labeled bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).BMSCs,double-labeled by AD5/F35-eGFP and SPIO,were transplanted into rats with spinal cord injury via the subarachnoid space.MRI tracing results demonstrated that BMSCs migrated to the injured spinal cord over time(T2 hypointensity signals). This result was verified by immunofluorescence. These results indicate that MRI can be utilized to trace in vivo the SPIO-labeled BMSCs after grafting.Yu Liu Boai Zhang Yi Song Yubin Deng Yanjie Jia Qiyong Gong 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,13:14
Molecular phylogenetic relationships of China Seas groupers based on cytochrome b gene fragment sequences显示文摘The classification and evolutionary relationships are important issues in the study of the groupers. Cytochrome b gene fragment of twenty-eight grouper species within six genera of subfamily Epinephelinae was amplified using PCR techniques and the sequences were analyzed to derive the phylogenetic relationships of the groupers from the China Seas. Genetic information indexes, including Kimura-2 parameter genetic distance and Ts/Tv ratios, were generated by using a variety of biology softwares. With Niphon spinosus, Pagrus major and Pagrus auriga as the designated outgroups, phylogenetic trees, which invoke additional homologous sequences of other Epinephelus fishes from GenBank, were constructed based on the neighbor-joining (NJ), maximum-parsimony (MP), maximum-likelihood (ML) and minimum-evolution (ME) methods. Several conclusions were drawn from the DNA sequences analysis: (1) genus Plectropomus, which was early diverged, is the most primitive group in the subfamily Epinephelinae; (2) genus Variola is more closely related to genus Cephalopolis than the other four genera; (3) genus Cephalopolis is a monophyletic group and more primitive than genus Epinephelus; (4) Promicrops lanceolatus and Cromileptes altivelis should be included in genus Epinephelus; (5) there exist two sister groups in genus Epinephelus.DING Shaoxiong, ZHUANG Xuan, GUO Feng, WANG Jun, SU Yongquan, ZHANG Qiyong & LI Qifu Department of Oceanography and Institute of Subtropical Oceanography, Xiamen University, Xiamen 361005, China Department of Biology, Xiamen University, Xiamen 361005, China 2006Science China(Life Sciences)2006,49,3:14
Altered regional homogeneity in post-traumatic stress disorder: a resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging study显示文摘Objective Little is known about the brain systems that contribute to vulnerability to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Comparison of the resting-state patterns of intrinsic functional synchronization, as measured by functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), between groups with and without PTSD following a traumatic event can help identify the neural mechanisms of the disorder and targets for intervention. Methods Fifty-four PTSD patients and 72 matched traumatized subjects who experienced the 2008 Sichuan earthquake were imaged with blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) fMRI and analyzed using the measure of regional homogeneity (ReHo) during the resting state. Results PTSD patients presented enhanced ReHo in the left inferior parietal lobule and right superior frontal gyrus, and reduced ReHo in the right middle temporal gyrus and lingual gyrus, relative to traumatized individuals without PTSD. Conclusion Our findings showed that abnormal brain activity exists under resting conditions in PTSD patients who had been exposed to a major earthquake. Alterations in the local functional connectivity of cortical regions are likely to contribute to the neural mechanisms underlying PTSD.Yan Yin Changfeng Jin Lisa T. 6Successful Production of an All-Female Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) Population Using cyp17a1-Deficient Neomale Carp显示文摘Due to sexual dimorphism in the growth of certain cultured fish species, the production of monosex fishes is desirable for the aquaculture industry.Nowadays, the most widely practiced technique available for the mass production of monosex fish populations is sex steroid-induced sex reversal. Here,a novel strategy for the successful production of all-female(AF)common carp(Cyprinus carpio L.),to take advantage of the sexual dimorphism in growth documented in this species, has been developed using genetic engineering via single gene-targeting manipulation without any exogenous hormone treatments.Male and female heterozygous cyp17a1-deficient common carp were first obtained using the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated endonuclease 9(CRISPR/Cas9)technique.An all-male phenotype for homozygous cyp17a1-deficient carp, regardless of the individuals’sexdetermination genotypes(XY or XX),has been observed.A male-specific DNA marker newly identified in our laboratory was used to screen the neomale carp population with the XX genotype from the cyp17a1-deficient carp. These neomale carp develop a normal testis structure with normal spermatogenesis and sperm capacity. The neomale common carp were then mated with wild-type(WT)females(cyp17a1^(+/+)XX genotype)using artificial fertilization. All the AF offspring sample fish from the neomale-WT female mating were confirmed as having the cyp17a^(1+/-)XX genotype, and normal development of gonads to ovaries was observed in 100.00%of this group at eight months post-fertilization(mpf).A total of 1000 carp fingerlings,500 from the WT male and female and 500 from the neomale and WT female mating, were mixed and reared in the same pond. The average body weight of cyp17a1^(+/-)XX females was higher by 6.60%(8 mpf)and 32.66%(12 mpf)than that of the control common carp. Our study demonstrates the first successful production of a monosex teleost population with the advantages of sexual dimorphism in growth using genetic manipulation targeting a single locus.Gang Zhai Tingting Shu Kuangxin Chen Qiyong Lou Jingyi Jia Jianfei Huang Chuang Shi Xia Jin Jiangyan He Donghuo Jiang Xueqiao Qian Wei Hu Zhan Yin 2022Engineering2022,8,1:7
Regional homogeneity abnormalities in patients with tensiontype headache:a resting-state fMRI study显示文摘Tension-type headache(TTH) is the most prevalent type of primary headache. Many studies have shown that the pathogenesis of primary headache is associated with fine structural or functional changes. However, these studies were mainly based on migraine. The present study aimed to investigate whether TTH patients show functional disturbances compared with healthy subjects. We used restingstate functional magnetic resonance imaging(f MRI) and regional homogeneity(Re Ho) analysis to identify changes in the local synchronization of spontaneous activity in patients with TTH. Ten patients with TTH and 10 age-, gender-, and education-matched healthy controls participated in the study. After demographic and clinical characteristics were acquired, a 3.0-T MRI system was used to obtain restingstate f MRIs. Compared with healthy controls, the TTH group exhibited significantly lower Re Ho values in the bilateral caudate nucleus, the precuneus, the putamen, the left middle frontal gyrus, and the superior frontal gyrus. There was no correlation between mean Re Ho values in TTH patients and duration of TTH, number of attacks, duration of daily attacks, Visual Analogue Scale score, or Headache Impact Test-6 score. These results suggest that TTHpatients exhibit reduced synchronization of neuronal activity in multiple regions involved in the integration and processing of pain signals.Pian Wang Handan Du Ning Chen Jian Guo Qiyong Gong Junran Zhang Li He 2014Neuroscience Bulletin2014,30,6:6
Multifunctional dextran micelles as drug delivery carriers and magnetic resonance imaging probes显示文摘Multifunctional nanoparticles combining diagnostic and therapeutic agents into a single platform make cancer theranostics possible and have attracted wide interests in the field. In this study, a multifunctional nanocomposite based on dextran and superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(SPIO) was prepared for drug delivery and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI). Amphiphilic dextran was synthesized by grafting stearyl acid onto the carbohydrate backbone, and micelle was formed by the resulted amphiphilic dextran with low critical micelle concentration at 1.8 mg L-1. Doxorubicin(DOX) and a cluster of the manganese-doped iron oxide nanoparticles(Mn-SPIO)nanocrystals were then coencapsulated successfully inside the core of dextran micelles, resulting in nanocomposites with diameter at about 100 nm. Cell culture experiments demonstrated the potential of these Mn-SPIO/DOX nanocomposites as an effective multifunctional nanoplatform for the delivery of anticancer drug DOX with a loading content(DLC) of 16 %. Confocal laser scanning microscopyreveals that the Mn-SPIO/DOX had excellent internalization ability against MCF-7/Adr cells after 2-h labeling compared with free DOXáHCl. Under a 3.0-T MRI scanner, Mn-SPIO/DOX nanocomposite-labeled cells in gelatin phantom show much darker images than the control. Their transverse relaxation(T2) rate is also significantly higher than that of the control cells(33.9 versus 2.3 s-1). Our result offers an effective strategy to treat MCF-7/Adr at optimized low dosages with imaging capability.Bingbing Lin Hongying Su Rongrong Jin Danyang Li Changqiang Wu Xin Jiang Chunchao Xia Qiyong Gong Bin Song Hua Ai 2015Science Bulletin2015,60,14:6
Amphiphilic dextran/magnetite nanocomposites as magnetic resonance imaging probes显示文摘Superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanoparticles are effective contrast agents for enhancement of magnetic resonance imaging at the tissue, cellular or even molecular levels. High quality SPIO nanoparticles can be synthesized in the organic phase but need to be transferred into water before any biomedical applications. In this study, amphiphilic poly(ε-caprolactone) grafted dextran (Dex-g-PCL) was used as carriers for particle encapsulation and stabilization in the aqueous phase. Multiple SPIO nanoparticles were self-assembled together with the help of Dex-g-PCL during phase transfer from chloroform to water, and diameters of Dex-g-PCL/SPIO nanocomposites were (64 ± 22) nm through dynamic light scattering measurement. These nanocomposites were superparamagnetic at 300 K with saturated magnetization of 88 emu/g Fe. In the magnetic field of 1.5 T, Dex-g-PCL/SPIO nanocomposites had a T2 relaxivity of 363 Fe mL·mol-1·s-1. This unique nanocomposite brought significant mouse liver contrast with signal intensity changes of -60% at 5 min after intravenous administration. However, uptake of Dex-g-PCL/SPIO nanocomposites in liver reticuloendothelial cells (Kupffer cells) did not immediately happen at shorter time points (<4 h) as verified by histology studies, and it was evident that more iron staining would be located in Kupffer cells 24 h after contrast agent administration. After 24 h and 10 d, the signal intensities (SI) gradually recovered, and SI changes were -44% and -31%, respectively. From our observation, the time window for enhanced-MRI could last at least 12 days and totally recovered after 16 days. This novel sensitive MRI contrast agent may find potential applications in discovering small liver lesions such as early tumor diagnosis.WANG QiaoYing SU HongYing XIA ChunChao SUN JiaYu LIU Chen WANG ZhiYong GONG QiYong SONG Bin GAO FaBao AI Hua GU ZhongWei 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,17:5

Cerebral fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations may predict headache intensity improvement following acupuncture treatment in migraine patients显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore how baseline resting-state cerebral function predicts clinical outcomes of acupuncture treatment for migraine.METHODS:One hundred migraine patients and 46 healthy subjects were recruited.Patients were randomized into the acupuncture, sham acupuncture, and waiting list groups.Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data were collected at baseline and after 1 month of longitudinal acupuncture treatments.Fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations(f ALFF)calculations were applied to explore the associations between baseline f ALFF and changes in clinical variables in the acupuncture treatment group and the waiting list group.RESULTS:Compared with healthy subjects, migraine patients had lower f ALFF in the left rostral ventromedial medulla, right thalamus, left amygdala, and right angular gyrus.Regression analyses revealed that baseline f ALFF values in the left middle frontal gyrus, left superior temporal gyrus, and middle temporal gyrus were positively associated with headache intensity changes in the acupuncture treatment group, while baseline f ALFF values in the bilateral lingual gyrus and cuneus were negatively associated with headache intensity changes in this group.CONCLUSION:The baseline f ALFF values of brain regions associated with cognitive pain modulation, but not migraine severity, may predict future headache intensity improvement levels in migraine patients receiving acupuncture treatment.Li Zhengjie Zhou Jun Cheng Shirui Lan Lei Sun Ruirui Liu Mailan Yang Jie Gao Yujie Guo Taipin Gong Qiyong Zeng Fang Liang Fanrong 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6:5
Near-infrared fluorescent amphiphilic polycation wrapped magnetite nanoparticles as multimodality probes显示文摘Construction of multifunctional/multimodality nanoparticles for cancer diagnosis and therapy has become an attractive area of investigation. In this report, we designed a multimodality nanoprobe for cell labeling, and can be detectable by both magnetic resonance and near infrared (NIR) fluorescence imaging. Multiple hydrophobic superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanocrystals are self-assembled into nanocomposites in water phase with the help of partially alkylated hyperbranched polycation, polyethylenimine (PEI), which already conjugated with the indocyanine dye Cy5.5 and can be used for cell imaging under NIR fluorescence imaging. The amphiphilic PEI/SPIO nanocomposites have a strong T 2 relaxivity. The iron uptake process in MCF-7/Adr displays a time dependent behavior. Confocal laser scanning microscopy reveals that the nanoprobes are internalized into the cytoplasm of MCF-7/Adr after 24 h labeling. Both MR and NIR fluorescence imaging showed strong image contrast against unlabeled cells. Under a clinical MRI scanner, labeled cells in gelatin phantom present much darker images than controlled ones. The T2 relaxation rate of the labeled cells is 98.2 s 1 , significantly higher than that of the control ones of 2.3 s 1 . This study provides an important alternative to label MCF-7/Adr at optimized low dosages with high efficiency, and may be useful to label other biologically important cells and track their behaviors in vivo.WANG Dan SU HongYing LIU yanHong WU ChangQiang XIA ChunChao SUN JiaYu GAO FaBao GONG QiYong SONG Bin AI Hua 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,31:4
Epidemiological characteristics and temporal-spatial analysis of overseas imported dengue fever cases in outbreak provinces of China, 2005–2019显示文摘Background Overseas imported dengue fever is an important factor in local outbreaks of this disease in the mainland of China. To better prevent and control such local outbreaks, the epidemiological characteristics and temporal-spatial distribution of overseas imported dengue fever cases in provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)where dengue fever is outbreak in the mainland of China were explored. Methods Using the Chinese National Notifiable Infectious Disease Reporting Information System(CNNDS),we identified overseas imported dengue fever cases in dengue fever outbreak areas in the mainland of China from 2005 to 2019 to draw the epidemic curve and population characteristic distribution of overseas imported cases in each PLAD.Based on spatial autocorrelation analysis of ArcGIS 10.5 and temporal-spatial scanning analysis of SaTScan 9.5,we analyzed the temporal-spatial distribution of overseas imported dengue fever in dengue fever outbreak areas in the mainland of China. Results A total of 11,407 imported cases, mainly from Southeast Asia, were recorded from 2005 to 2019 in these 13 PLADs.Of which 62.1%were imported into Yunnan and Guangdong Provinces.Among the imported cases, there were more males than females, mainly from the 21–50 age group. The hot spots were concentrated in parts of Yunnan,Guangdong and Fujian Provinces. We found the cluster of infected areas were expanding northward. Conclusions Based on the analysis of overseas imported dengue cases in 13 PLADs of the mainland of China from 2005 to 2019,we obtained the epidemiological characteristics and spatial distribution of imported dengue cases.Border controls need to pay attention to key population sectors, such as 21–50 years old men and education of key populations on dengue prevention. There is a need to improve the awareness of the prevention and control of imported cases in border areas. At the same time, northern regions cannot relax their vigilance.Xinchang Lun Yiguan Wang Chunchun Zhao Haixia Wu Caiying Zhu Delong Ma Mingfang Xu Jun Wang Qiyong Liu Lei Xu Fengxia Meng 2022Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,1:3
Polysaccharide-based nanomedicines for cancer immunotherapy:A review显示文摘Cancer immunotherapy is an effective antitumor approach through activating immune systems to eradicate tumors by immunotherapeutics. However, direct administration of“naked”immunotherapeutic agents(such as nucleic acids, cytokines, adjuvants or antigens without delivery vehicles)often results in:(1)an unsatisfactory efficacy due to suboptimal pharmacokinetics;(2)strong toxic and side effects due to low targeting(or off-target)efficiency.To overcome these shortcomings,a series of polysaccharide-based nanoparticles have been developed to carry immunotherapeutics to enhance antitumor immune responses with reduced toxicity and side effects.Polysaccharides are a family of natural polymers that hold unique physicochemical and biological properties,as they could interact with immune system to stimulate an enhanced immune response.Their structures offer versatility in synthesizing multifunctional nanocomposites, which could be chemically modified to achieve high stability and bioavailability for delivering therapeutics into tumor tissues. This review aims to highlight recent advances in polysaccharide-based nanomedicines for cancer immunotherapy and propose new perspectives on the use of polysaccharide-based immunotherapeutics.Yujun Zeng Yufan Xiang Ruilong Sheng Helena Tomás João Rodrigues Zhongwei Gu Hu Zhang Qiyong Gong Kui Luo 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:3
GSH-sensitive polymeric prodrug: Synthesis and loading with photosensitizers as nanoscale chemo-photodynamic anti-cancer nanomedicine显示文摘Precisely delivering combinational therapeutic agents has become a crucial challenge for anti-tumor treatment. In this study, a novel redox-responsive polymeric prodrug(molecular weight,MW: 93.5 k Da) was produced by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT) polymerization. The amphiphilic block polymer-doxorubicin(DOX) prodrug was employed to deliver a hydrophobic photosensitizer(PS), chlorin e6(Ce6), and the as-prepared nanoscale system [NPs(Ce6)] was investigated as a chemo-photodynamic anti-cancer agent. The glutathione(GSH)-cleavable disulfide bond was inserted into the backbone of the polymer for biodegradation inside tumor cells, and DOX conjugated onto the polymer with a disulfide bond was successfully released intracellularly. NPs(Ce6) released DOX and Ce6 with their original molecular structures and degraded into segments with low MWs of 41.2 k Da in the presence of GSH. NPs(Ce6) showed a chemo-photodynamic therapeutic effect to kill 4 T1 murine breast cancer cells, which was confirmed from a collapsed cell morphology, a lifted level in the intracellular reactive oxygen species, a reduced viability and induced apoptosis. Moreover, ex vivo fluorescence images indicated that NPs(Ce6) retained in the tumor, and exhibited a remarkable in vivo anticancer efficacy. The combinational therapy showed a significantly increased tumor growth inhibition(TGI,58.53%). Therefore, the redox-responsive, amphiphilic block polymeric prodrug could have a great potential as a chemo-photodynamic anti-cancer agent.Lei Luo Yiming Qi Hong Zhong Shinan Jiang Hu Zhang Hao Cai Yahui Wu Zhongwei Gu Qiyong Gong Kui Luo 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,1:3

Cerebral regional and network characteristics in asthma patients: a resting-state fMRI study显示文摘Asthma is a serious health problem that involves not only the respiratory system but also the central nervous system.Previous studies identified either regional or network alterations in patients with asthma, but inconsistent results were obtained.A key question remains unclear:are the regional and neural network deficits related or are they two independent characteristics in asthma?Answering this question is the aim of this study.By collecting resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging from 39 patients with asthma and 40 matched health controls, brain functional measures including regional activity(amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations)and neural network function(degree centrality(DC)and functional connectivity)were calculated to systematically characterize the functional alterations.Patients exhibited regional abnormities in the left angular gyrus, right precuneus, and inferior temporal gyrus within the default mode network.Network abnormalities involved both the sensorimotor network and visual network with key regions including the superior frontal gyrus and occipital lobes.Altered DC in the lingual gyrus was correlated with the degree of airway obstruction. This study elucidated different patterns of regional and network changes, thereby suggesting that the two parameters reflect different brain characteristics of asthma. These findings provide evidence for further understanding the potential cerebral alterations in the pathophysiology of asthma.Siyi Li Peilin Lv Min He Wenjing Zhang Jieke Liu Yao Gong Ting Wang Qiyong Gong Yulin Ji Su Lui 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,6:3
Retro-enantio isomer of angiopep-2 assists nanoprobes across the blood-brain barrier for targeted magnetic resonance/fluorescence imaging of glioblastoma显示文摘Glioblastoma(GBM),one of the most common primary intracranial malignant tumours,is very difficult to be completely excised by surgery due to its irregular shape. Here,we use an MRI/NIR fluorescence dual-modal imaging nanoprobe that includes superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(SPIONs)modified with indocyanine(Cy7)molecules and peptides(ANG orDANG)to locate malignant gliomas and guide accurate excision. Both peptides/Cy7-SPIONs probes displayed excellent tumour-homing properties and barrier penetrating abilities in vitro.Ruoxi Xie Zijun Wu Fanxin Zeng Huawei Cai Dan Wang Lei Gu Hongyan Zhu Su Lui Gang Guo Bin Song Jinxing Li Min Wu Qiyong Gong 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,9:3
Rates of oxygen consumption and tolerance of hypoxia and desiccation in Chinese black sleeper(Bostrichthys sinensis)and mudskipper(Boleophthalmus pectinirostris)embryos显示文摘The rates of oxygen consumption, tolerance of hypoxia and desiccation of the Chinese black sleeper (Bostrichthys sinensis) and mudskipper (Boleophthalmus pectinirostris) embryos were investigated. The pattern of oxygen consumption of the Chinese black sleeper embryos was similar to that of the mudskipper ones. The lowest rates of oxygen consumption[(1.65±0.66)nmol/ (ind.·h)] of the Chinese black sleeper embryos 16 h after fertilization and the lowest rates of oxygen consumption [(0.79± 0.08)nmol/(ind.·h)] of the mudskipper embryos 6 h after fertilization were recorded, respectively. Then the rates of oxygen consumption of these two species embryos increased gradually until hatching [(8.26±1.70)nmol/(ind.·h)in the Chinese black sleeper, (2.69±0.23)nmol/(ind.·h) in mudskipper]. After exposure to hypoxia water (0.16 mg/dm3), bradycardia of the embryos occurred in both the Chinese black sleeper and the mudskipper. However, the Chinese black sleeper embryos survived approximately 45 min longer than the mudskipper ones. After exposure to desiccation at a relative humidity of 58%, bradycardia of the embryos was observed in both the Chinese black sleeper and the mudskipper, and the Chinese black sleeper embryos lived approximately 9 min longer than the mudskipper ones.CHEN Shixi HONG Wanshu ZHANG Qiyong WU Renxie WANG Qiong 2006Acta Oceanologica Sinica2006,25,4:3
Establishment of a rhesus monkey model of middle cerebral artery ischemia and reperfusion using a microcatheter embolization method显示文摘Nonhuman primates are closest to humans in terms of lineage, and middle cerebral artery ischemia/reperfusion responses of nonhuman primates are most similar to ischemic stroke in humans. Therefore, nonhuman primates could be utilized to simulate the process of ischemic stroke in the human.Few studies, however, have reported the use of endovascular technology to establish a rhesus monkey stroke model. In the present study, seven adult, male, rhesus monkeys were selected and, following anesthesia,a microcatheter was inserted into one side of the middle cerebral artery via the femoral artery to block blood flow, thereby resulting in middle cerebral artery occlusion. After 2 hours, the microcatheter was withdrawn to restore the middle cerebral artery blood flow and to establish ischemia/reperfusion.Results from angiography and magnetic resonance angiography confirmed occlusion and reopening of the middle cerebral artery.Magnetic resonance imaging revealed the existence of ischemic brain lesions, and neurological examination showed sustained functional deficits following surgery. The rhesus monkey middle cerebral artery ischemia/reperfusion models established by microcatheter embolization had the advantage of non-craniotomy invasion and reproducibility. The scope and degree of ischemic damage using this model was controllable. Therefore, this nonhuman primate model is an ideal model for cerebral ischemia and reperfusion.Jie Yang Jian Guo Hongbo Zheng Muke Zhou Li He Wenying Cao Li Xiao Jiachuan Duan Qiyong Gong Xiaoqi Huang Hongxia Li Li Wang Jingqiu Cheng 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,15:2
