| 3 | Efficacy of integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and anti-retroviral therapy on immunological nonresponse in patients with human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome: a Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the efficacy of integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and anti-retroviral therapy(ART),a customized combination of different classes of medications which was also called cock-tail treatment,on the immunological nonresponse(INR)in people living with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)(PLWH).METHODS:Relevant literature in databases such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database(CNKI),Wanfang Digital Journal,Chinese Medical Journal Database(CMJD),Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(CBM),Pub Med,Cochrane,and Embase was reviewed by two independent investigators.Data were extracted from the studies according to the eligible criteria and analyzed using Review Manager 5.3.RESULTS:Nine randomized controlled trials(RCTs)with 1078 patients were analyzed.Our analyses showed that CD4 T cell counts in the treatment group improved compared with that in the control group[mean difference(MD)=13.51,95%confidence interval(CI):7.42-19.60,P<0.0001].There was no significant difference between the treated and control groups after 3 months(MD=25.31,95%CI:-2.78 to 53.41,P=0.08).However,after 6 and 12 months,the response of the treatment group was superior to the control group(MD=27.45,95%CI:7.09-47.81,P=0.008 and MD=27.34,95%CI:6.31–48.37,P=0.01,respectively).The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was also higher than that of the control group(RR=1.75,95%CI:1.16-2.65,P=0.007).However,CD45 RO and CD45 RA T cell counts did not differ significantly between the two groups(MD=12.37,95%CI:-6.71 to 31.45,P=0.20 and MD=5.67,95%CI:-3.00 to14.35,P=0.20,respectively).CONCLUSION:The combined treatment strategy of integrated TCM and Western Medicine promotes long-term reconstitution of the immune system and thus,is beneficial and has potential use for improving INR in PLWH.However,large-scale RCTs are required to provide evidence for optimal intervention strategies. | TAO Zhuang HUANG Xiaojie LIU Ying WANG Ru DONG Jipeng LIANG Biyan ZOU Wen GAO Guojian WANG Zhuo ZHANG Ke WU Hao ZHANG Tong WANG Jian | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021，41，5： | 6 |

| 8 | Urban-rural disparities in mild cognitive impairment and its functional subtypes among community- dwelling older residents in central China显示文摘background Substantial variations in the prevalence of mild cognitive impairment(MCI)and its subtypes have been reported,although mostly in geographically defined developed countries and regions.Less is known about MCI and its subtypes in rural areas of less developed central China.Aims The study aimed to compare the prevalence of MCI and its subtypes in residents aged 65 years or older in urban and rural areas of Hubei Province,China.Methods Participants aged 65 years or older were recruited between 2018 and 2019.Inperson structured interviews and clinical and neuropsychological assessments were performed at city health community centres and township hospitals.results Among 2644 participants without dementia,735 had MCI,resulting in a prevalence of 27.8%for total MCI,20.9%for amnestic MCI(aMCI)and 6.9%for non-amnestic MCI(naMCI).The prevalence of MCI in urban and rural areas was 20.2%and 44.1%,respectively.After adjusting for demographic factors,the prevalence of total MCI,aMCI and naMCI differed significantly between rural and urban areas(adjusted odds ratio(OR)2.10,1.44 and 3.76,respectively).Subgroup analysis revealed an association between rural socioeconomic and lifestyle disadvantage and MCI and its subtypes.Conclusions Our findings suggest that the prevalence of MCI among urban residents in central China is consistent with that in other metropolis areas,such as Shanghai,but the prevalence in rural areas is twice that in urban areas.Prospective studies and dementia prevention in China should focus on rural areas. | Dan Liu Lin Li Lina An Guirong Cheng Cong Chen Mingjun Zou Bo Zhang Xuguang Gan Lang Xu Yangming Ou Qingming Wu Ru Wang Yan Zeng | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021，34，5： | 3 |

| 16 | Oral Contraceptives and Health Outcomes:an Umbrella Review of Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses in Women and Offspring显示文摘Aim We herein provide an umbrella review of systematic reviews(SR)and meta-analyses(MAs)of studies of the association of oral contraceptives(OCs)with the risks of multiple health outcomes in women and their descendants.Methods Two investigators retrieved publications from four electronic databases,including PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews up to March 15,2021.For each association,random/fixed-effects summary effect size and 95%CIs were estimated.Heterogeneity and publication bias were also assessed.The method quality and evidence level for each publication were respectively assessed utilizing the AMSTAR and GRADE checklists.Results A total of 68 articles with 82 unique outcomes were included based on the eligibility criteria.Numerous lines of evidence indicated that OCs had effects on nearly all cardiovascular disease-related outcomes,especially for cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(OR=7.59,95%CI:3.82-15.09).Harmful associations were also found for vulvar vestibulitis(OR=2.31,95%CI:1.03-5.16),preterm birth(OR=1.17,95%CI:1.07-1.27),miscarriage(OR=1.13,95%CI:1.02-1.72),ulcerative colitis(OR=1.22,95%CI:1.06-1.41),Crohn's disease(OR=1.24,95%CI:1.09-1.40),alveolar osteitis(RR=1.86,95%CI:1.66-2.08),dry socket(RR=1.8,95%CI:1.33-2.43),and interstitial cystitis(OR=2.1,95%CI:1.26-3.49).However,oral contraceptives did not increase the risk of cancer except breast and cervical cancer.Maternal exposure to OCs was linked to an increased risk for the development of respiratory atopic disorders such as asthma(OR=1.1,95%CI:1.02-1.19)and rhinitis(OR=1.34,95%CI:1.07-1.68).Conclusion In summary,although their use obviously reduces the risk of pregnancy-and parturition-related morbidity and mortality for women,OCs were frequently related to more harm than benefit in terms of other health outcomes.This was true for both women and their descendants in this umbrella review.More large-scale prospective studies analysing different doses,structures,and durations of treatment with estrogen and progestin are needed to confirm these effects. | Yuan Lin Zou Rui Peng Ke Di Xu Xiao Ru Jiang Qiu Yu Sun Chun Hua Song | 2022 | Journal of Nutritional Oncology2022，7，1： | 0 |

| 19 | Benefit of rituximab maintenance is associated with Follicular Lymphoma International Prognostic Index in patients with follicular lymphoma显示文摘Rituximab maintenance(RM)prolongs the progression-free survival(PFS)of responding patients with follicular lymphoma(FL),but the maintenance efficacy in different Follicular Lymphoma International Prognostic Index(FLIPI)risk group is still confusing.We performed a retrospective analysis of the effect of RM treatments in patients with FL responding to induction therapy based on their FLIPI risk assessment carried out prior to treatment.We identified 93 patients between 2013 and 2019 who received RM every 3 months for≥4 doses(RM group),and 60 patients who did not accept RM or received rituximab less than 4 doses(control group).After a median follow-up of 39 months,neither median overall survival(OS)nor PFS was reached for the entire population.The PFS was significantly prolonged in the RM group compared to the control group(median PFS NA vs 83.1 months,P=.00027).When the population was divided into the 3 FLIPI risk groups,the PFS differed significantly(4-year PFS rates,97.5%vs 88.8%vs 72.3%,P=.01)according to group.There was no significant difference in PFS for FLIPI low-risk patients with RM compared to the control group(4-year PFS rates,100%vs 93.8%,P=.23).However,the PFS of the RM group was significantly prolonged for FLIPI intermediate-risk(4-year PFS rates,100%vs 70.3%,P=.00077)and high-risk patients(4-year PFS rates,86.7%vs 57.1%,P=.023).These data suggest that standard RM significantly prolongs the PFS of patients assigned to intermediate-and high-risk FLIPI groups but not to low-risk FLIPI group,and pending larger-scale studies to validate. | Ru Li Tingyu Wang Rui Lyv Yi Wang Ying Yu Yuting Yan Qi Sun Wenjie Xiong Wei Liu Weiwei Sui Wenyang Huang Huijun Wang Chengwen Li Jun Wang Dehui Zou Gang An Jianxiang Wang Lugui Qiu Shuhua Yi | 2023 | Blood Science2023，5，2： | 0 |
