5High molecular karyotype variation revealed in indigenous Elymus nutans in the Qinghai Plateau显示文摘The karyotypes of 27 individuals of Elymus nutans from eight wild populations in the Qinghai Plateau were analyzed using sequential FISH and GISH. High FISH pattern polymorphism and karyotype variation were detected within and among populations. The chromosome variations were mainly characterized as repeat deletions and amplifications along with inter-genomic translocations. The chromosomes of the St and Y genomes demonstrated higher polymorphism than those of the H genome. Six different intergenomic translocations were identified in 33.3% of individuals; type Ⅰ and Ⅱ translocations were detected with higher frequency. Further analysis revealed that type Ⅰ and Ⅱ translocations were distributed in different geographic regions. 6MiR156 regulates anthocyanin biosynthesis through SPL targets and other microRNAs in poplar显示文摘Anthocyanins biosynthesized from the flavonoid pathway are types of pigments that are involved in the protection of poplar from biotic and abiotic stresses.Previous researchers studying anthocyanin-related transcription factors and structural genes in poplar have made significant discoveries.However,little is known about the regulatory role of microRNAs in anthocyanin biosynthesis in poplar.Here,we overexpressed miR156 in poplar to study the comprehensive effects of the miR156-SPL module on the biosynthesis of anthocyanins.Small RNA sequencing analysis revealed 228 microRNAs differentially expressed in transgenic poplar plants with dramatically increased miR156 levels.Furthermore,integrated microRNAomic and transcriptomic analysis suggested that two microRNAs,miR160h,and miR858,have the potential to affect anthocyanin accumulation in poplar by regulating auxin response factors and MYB transcription factors,respectively.Additionally,the accumulation of miR160h and miR858 displayed a positive correlation with miR156 levels,suggesting a possible interaction between the miR156-SPL module and these microRNAs in poplar.Last,metabolomics analysis revealed that the levels of anthocyanins,flavones,and flavonols were substantially elevated in transgenic poplar plants overexpressing miR156 compared with the wild type,whereas the total lignin content was reduced in the transgenic plants.Taken together,our results indicate that miR156 can fine tune the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway via multiple factors,including microRNAs,transcription factors,and the levels of structural genes,in poplar.This provides additional clues for understanding the complex regulatory network of anthocyanin biosynthesis in woody plants.Yamei Wang Wenwen Liu Xinwei Wang Ruijuan Yang Zhenying Wu HanWang LeiWang Zhubing Hu Siyi Guo Hailing Zhang Jinxing Lin Chunxiang Fu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:9

85-Hydroxymethylome in Circulating Cell-free DNA as A Potential Biomarker for Non-small-cell Lung Cancer显示文摘Non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC), the most common type of lung cancer accounting for 85% of the cases, is often diagnosed at advanced stages owing to the lack of efficient early diagnostic tools. 5-Hydroxymethylcytosine(5 hmC) signatures in circulating cell-free DNA(cfDNA) that carries the cancer-specific epigenetic patterns may represent the valuable biomarkers for discriminating tumor and healthy individuals, and thus could be potentially useful for NSCLC diagnosis. Here,we employed a sensitive and reliable method to map genome-wide 5 hmC in the cfDNA of Chinese NSCLC patients and detected a significant 5 hmC gain in both the gene bodies and promoter regions in the blood samples from tumor patients compared with healthy controls. Specifically, we identified six potential biomarkers from 66 patients and 67 healthy controls(mean decrease accuracy>3.2, P < 3.68E-19) using machine-learning-based tumor classifiers with high accuracy. 9Robust disturbance rejection for a fractional-order system based on equivalent-input-disturbance approach显示文摘This paper presents a disturbance rejection method that is based on the equivalent-inputdisturbance approach for uncertain fractional-order(FO) systems. An FO observer is used to reconstruct the plant states and estimate the disturbances. A disturbance estimator is incorporated in the construction of the FO control system to actively compensate for the entire disturbance. A robust stability condition for the control system and the parameters of the controller are derived using an indirect Lyapunov method.The presented method effectively rejects disturbances and handles modeling uncertainties without requiring prior knowledge of the disturbance. 10Effects of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction drug serum on gastric antrum smooth muscle cells from rats with functional dyspepsia by regulating gastrointestinal hormones显示文摘Objective:To observe the effect and mechanism of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction(XSLJZD)drug serum on gastric antrum smooth muscle cells(SMCs)in rats with functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods:Gastric antrum SMCs from rats with FD were isolated,cultured,and then divided into six groups as follows:control,model,domperidone,low-dose XSLJZD(LXSLJZD),medium-dose XSLJZD(MXSLJZD),and high-dose XSLJZD(HXSLJZD).Each group was administered the corresponding drug serum for intervention.Drug serum intervention conditions and proliferative activity of SMCs were tested by cholecystokinin octapeptide.Ghrelin,gastrin,somatostatin,and substance P(SP)levels were measured by ELISA.Somatostatin and SP mRNA expression was measured by real-time PCR.Results:A concentration of 10%drug serum for 24 h was decided to be the best intervention condition for later study.The mean optical density value in the model group was lower than that in the control group(P紏.001).Optical density values in the domperidone and HXSLJZD groups were higher than those in the model group(P?.025,P?.032,respectively).Gastrin,SP,and ghrelin levels in the model group were lower(P?.007,P?.037,P?.005,respectively),but somatostatin levels were higher,compared with those in the control group(P?.031).Gastrin,SP,and ghrelin levels in the domperidone,MXSLJZD,and HXSLJZD groups were higher than those in the model group(all P<.05).Somatostatin levels in the four drug-treated groups were lower than those in the model group(P?.002,P?.007,P?.001,P?.009,respectively).SP mRNA levels in the model group were lower than those in the control,domperidone,MXSLJZD,and HXSLJZD groups(P?.037 P?.016,P?.025,P?.002,respectively).Somatostatin mRNA levels in the model group were higher than those in the control and MXSLJZD groups(P紏.042,P紏.035).Conclusions:XSLJZD and domperidone drug serum effectively promote proliferative activity of gastric antrum SMCs in an FD model.The mechanism of this activity may be regulated by gastrointestinal hormones.Ning Dai Jinghong Hu Yan Liu Dongyu Ge Ruijuan Dong Fengzhi Wu Jiaojiao Yu Mindan Chen Deborah CMa Feng Li 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,1:6
11Identification and PID Control for a Class of Delay Fractional-order Systems显示文摘In this paper,a new model identification method is developed for a class of delay fractional-order system based on the process step response.Four characteristic functions are defined to characterize the features of the normalized fractionalorder model.Based on the time scaling technology,two identification schemes are proposed for parameters' estimation.The scheme one utilizes three exact points on the step response of the process to calculate model parameters directly.The other scheme employs optimal searching method to adjust the fractional order for the best model identification.The proposed two identification schemes are both applicable to any stable complex process,such as higher-order,under-damped/over-damped,and minimum-phase/nonminimum-phase processes.Furthermore,an optimal PID tuning method is proposed for the delay fractionalorder systems.The requirements on the stability margins and the negative feedback are cast as real part constraints(RPC)and imaginary part constraints(IPC).The constraints are implemented by trigonometric inequalities on the phase variable,and the optimal PID controller is obtained by the minimization of the integral of time absolute error(ITAE) index.Identification and control of a Titanium billet heating process is given for the illustration.Zhuoyun Nie Qingguo Wang Ruijuan Liu Yonghong Lan 2016IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2016,3,4:6
12Pore Structure Regulation of Carboxyethylated Microfibrillated Cellulose Films显示文摘Carboxyethylation is a recent chemical pretreatment for preparation of microfibrillated cellulose(MFC).The carboxyethylated MFC film prepared by coating method has compact structure and high mechanical properties.In order to expand its application,three approaches including using organic solvents,different drying methods and cationic additives,have been adopted in this paper to enrich and regulate the pore structure of MFC film.The results show that all the approaches can improve the pore structure but decrease the mechanical properties of MFC film.When organic solvents such as ethanol,isopropanol and n-butanol were used to replace the water in MFC suspension or pre-dried MFC film,the pore structure of films were increased.Additionally,the film obtained by freeze-drying or air-drying after freezing in liquid nitrogen or freezer has high porosity but poor strength.The best drying process is to rewet dry MFC film,freeze in liquid nitrogen and then freeze-dry.Moreover,the addition of cationic polyelectrolytes or alkene ketone dimer(AKD)in MFC suspension can also significantly increase the film's porosity.Through the above approaches,the porosity of carboxyethylated MFC film can be regulated between 20% and 90%.Meican Li Jinghuan Chen Jingang Liu Zehong Xu Yanqun Su Ruijuan Zhang Yanfen Du 2020Paper And Biomaterials2020,5,2:5
13Different Kinds of Microfibrillated Cellulose as Coating Layers Providing Fiber-based Barrier Properties显示文摘In this study,we investigated the barrier properties of different kinds of microfibrillated cellulose(MFC)coating layers.The air,oxygen,and water vapor permeability,as well as the water contact angles(WCA),were measured to quantify the barrier efficacy of the applied coatings.The WCA data showed that the surfaces of MFC-coated cardboards are more hydrophilic than those of uncoated cardboards.However,different MFC coatings realize different oxygen transmission rates(OTRs)and water vapor transmission rates(WVTRs).The MFC coating derived from bleached bamboo pulp subjected to carboxyethylation pretreatment(MFCCBP)gave the best oxygen and water vapor barrier performances.The OTR of the virgin cardboard(>16500 cm^(3)/(m^(2)·24 h))decreased to 4638 cm^(3)/(m^(2)·24 h)after coating with the MFCCBP.The WVTR similarly decreased from 1016.7 g/(m^(2)·24 h)to 603.2 g/(m^(2)·24 h).Ruijuan Zhang Yanqun Su Jingang Liu 2021Paper And Biomaterials2021,6,1:4
14Distribution and sources of heavy metals in the sediment of Xiangshan Bay显示文摘Heavy metals in the surface sediments and sediment core from the Xiangshan Bay, a mariculture base on the coast of the East China Sea, were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP–MS) in order to evaluate their levels and sources. The results showed that the levels of Cu, Pb, Zn, and Cr in the sediments of the bay have been generally influenced by anthropogenic inputs since the founding of the People's Republic of China. In particular, Cu and Zn were polluted to some extent, as evidenced by high enrichment factors. Organic matter, grain size, wastewater discharge, and low energy hydrodynamic environment played dominant roles in the heavy metal enrichment in the sediments. The ratio of terrigenous source to marine biogenic deposit of trace metals in the sediments was calculated, revealing that terrigenous inputs were the main source of Cu, Pb, and Zn, while biological pellets contributed much more to the enrichment of Cr and Cd. 16Eco-friendly PVA/Kaolin Clay Coating for Barrier Paper显示文摘The resistance of wood-fiber paper to water, grease, and water vapor is usually attained by immersing the base paper in hydrophobic oil, laminating with a plastic or metal film, or the application of a barrier coating. Oil impregnation and the addition of films may make the paper difficult to recycle or persistent in the environment owing to their strong binding force and nondegradability. Environmental concerns have attracted worldwide attention to eco-friendly barrier coatings. In this study, degradable polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) and kaolin clay pigment were used to prepare coatings that were applied to a base paper. By measuring the barrier properties of the coated paper, including the water absorptiveness(Cobb60 value), Hercules sizing degree, oil resistance(Kit rating), and water vapor transmission rate(WVTR), an optimal coating formulation and process were proposed. To examine the barrier mechanism of the PVA/kaolin clay coating, we characterized the coating microstructures using a scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and a mercury porosimeter. The results showed that the Cobb60 value and water vapor transmission rate of the coated paper decreased by 61.4% and 98.6%, respectively, compared with the base paper, for a pre-coating weight of 0.98 g/m^2 and a top-coating weight of about 3.23 g/m^2. Furthermore, the Hercules sizing degree rose by a factor of 337.2, while the oil resistance(Kit rating) increased from 0 to 12. The optimum drying temperature for a wet coating layer was found to be 170℃, and the optimum weight ratio of PVA to kaolin clay in the coating was determined to be 50∶50. It was assumed that the PVA/kaolin clay coating improved the smoothness of the paper considerably and decreased the pore size by filling the pores on the paper surface and forming an even film, thus enhancing the paper barrier performance. 20Corrosion formation and phase transformation of nickel-iron hydroxide nanosheets array for efficient water oxidation显示文摘Designing earth-abundant electrocatalysts with high performance towards water oxidation is highly decisive for the sustainable energy technologies. This study develops a facile natural corrosion approach to fabricate nickel-iron hydroxides for water oxidation. The resulted electrode demonstrates an outstanding activity and stability with an overpotential of 275 mV to deliver 10 mA·cm^(−2). Experimental and theoretical results suggest the corrosion-induced formation of hydroxides and their transformation to oxyhydroxides would account for this excellent performance.
