1The Influence of Phacoemulsification on Corneal Endothelia Cells at Varying Blood Glucose Levels显示文摘Purpose:To investigate the influence of phacoemulsification on corneal endothelial cells in diabetes patients and normal controls. Methods:Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation were performed on 75 patients with diabetic cataract (126 eyes) who were divided into two groups: Trial group 1 (Glu≤6 mmol/L); Trial group 2 (Glu 6-10 mmol/L) and 65 nondiabetic controls (112 eyes).The density and percentage of hexagonal cells and coefficient of variation of the corneal endothelia were measured before surgery and 1 day,1 month and 3 months postoperatively. Results: There was no statistical difference in the density and percentage of hexagonal cells and coefficient of variation of the corneal endothelia prior to phacoemulsification.(P>0.05) between the three groups.The density and percentage of hexagonal cells of the corneal endothelia decreased significantly after surgery in all three groups(P<0.05),while the Coefficient of variation increased in all groups(P<0.05). The rate of loss of corneal endothelial cells in the diabetic groups was significantly higher than for the control group (P<0.05), the percentage of hexagonal cells in the diabetic groups was significantly lower than for the control group (P<0.05), and the coefficient of variation in the diabetic groups was significantly higher than for the control group (P<0.05) at 1 day, 1 month and 3 months post-operatively. There was no statistical difference between the two diabetic groups in terms of these post-operative measurements. Conclusion:The corneal endothelium of diabetic patients is more prone to damage from phacoemulsification. 2Ce-doped LiNi_(1/3)Co_((1/3-x/3))Mn_(1/3)Ce_(x/3)O_2 cathode materials for use in lithium ion batteries显示文摘LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 and Ce-doped LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 cathode materials were synthesized by a co-precipitation method and solid phase synthesis and characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results indicated that the resultant cathode materials with different Ce content all had a good layer structure and high crystallinity.Electrochemical performance testing of the cathode materials showed that the discharge capacity increased with increasing Ce content while the initial reversible capacity attenuation decreased with Ce doping.When the Ce content of the cathode materials is x=0.2,and the current charge and discharge rate is a constant 0.2 C,the discharge capacity maintained 91% of its initial capacity after cycling 50 times.ZHANG YingJie XIA ShuBiao ZHANG YanNan DONG Peng YAN Yuxing YANG RuiMing 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,32:8
3Peripheral CD4^(+) T cell signatures in predicting the responses to anti-PD-1/PD-L1 monotherapy for Chinese advanced non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Limited benefit population of immune checkpoint inhibitors makes it urgent to screen predictive biomarkers for stratifying the patients.Herein,we have investigated peripheral CD4^(+) T cell signatures in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients receiving anti-PD-1/PD-L1 treatments.It was found that the percentages of IFN-γand IL-17A secreting naïve CD4^(+) T cells(Tn),and memory CD4^(+) T cells(Tm)expressing PD-1,PD-L1 and CTLA-4 were significantly higher in responder(R)than non-responder(NonR)NSCLC patients associated with a longer progression free survival(PFS).Logistic regression analysis revealed that the baseline IFN-γ-producing CD4^(+) Tn cells and PD-1^(+)CD4^(+) Tm cells were the most significant signatures with the area under curve(AUC)value reaching 0.849.This was further validated in another anti-PD-1 monotherapy cohort.Conversely,high percentage of CTLA-4^(+)CD4^(+) Tm cells was associated with a shorter PFS in patients receiving anti-PD-L1 monotherapy.Our study therefore elucidates the significance of functional CD4^(+) Tn and Tm subpopulations before the treatment in predicting the responses to anti-PD-1 treatment in Chinese NSCLC patients.The fact that there display distinct CD4^(+) T cell signatures in the prediction to anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 monotherapy from our study provides preliminary evidence on the feasibility of anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 combination therapy for advanced NSCLC patients.Liliang Xia Hui Wang Mingjiao Sun Yi Yang Chengcheng Yao Sheng He Huangqi Duan Weimin Xia Ruiming Sun Yaxian Yao Zhiwei Chen Qiong Zhao Hong Li Shun Lu Ying Wang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,10:7
4Sedimentary Evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in Cenozoic and its Response to the Uplift of the Plateau显示文摘We have studied the evolution of the tectonic lithofacies paleogeography of Paleocene-Eocene, Oligocene, Miocene, and Pliocene of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau by compiling data regarding the type, tectonic setting, and lithostratigraphic sequence of 98 remnant basins in the plateau area. Our results can be summarized as follows. (1) The Paleocene to Eocene is characterized by uplift and erosion in the Songpan-Garzê and Gangdisê belts, depression (lakes and pluvial plains) in eastern Tarim, Qaidam, Qiangtang, and Hoh Xil, and the Neo-Tethys Sea in the western and southern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. (2) The Oligocene is characterized by uplift in the Gangdisê-Himalaya and Karakorum regions (marked by the absence of sedimentation), fluvial transport (originating eastward and flowing westward) in the Brahmaputra region (marked by the deposition of Dazhuka conglomerate), uplift and erosion in western Kunlun and Songpan-Garzê, and depression (lakes) in the Tarim, Qaidam, Qiangtang, and Hoh Xil. The Oligocene is further characterized by depressional littoral and neritic basins in southwestern Tarim, with marine facies deposition ceasing at the end of the Oligocene. (3) For the Miocene, a widespread regional unconformity (ca. 23 Ma) in and adjacent to the plateau indicates comprehensive uplift of the plateau. This period is characterized by depressions (lakes) in the Tarim, Qaidam, Xining-Nanzhou, Qiangtang, and Hoh Xil. Lacustrine facies deposition expanded to peak in and adjacent to the plateau ca. 18-13 Ma, and north-south fault basins formed in southern Tibet ca. 13-10 Ma. All of these features indicate that the plateau uplifted to its peak and began to collapse. (4) Uplift and erosion occurred during the Pliocene in most parts of the plateau, except in the Hoh Xil-Qiangtang, Tarim, and Qaidam. The continuous uplift and intensive taphrogeny in the plateau divided the original large basin into small basins, deposition of lacustrine facies decreased considerably, and boulderstone accumulated, indicating a response to the overall uplift of the plateau. Here, we discuss the evolution of tectonic lithofacies paleogeography in Cenozoic and its response to the tectonic uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in relation to the above characteristics. We have recognized five major uplift events, which occurred during 58-53 Ma, 45-30 Ma, 25-20 Ma, 13-7 Ma, and since 5 Ma. 5Ship collision impact on the structural load of an offshore wind turbine显示文摘When a maintenance and operations ship is berthing,there is a chance the ship may collide into the wind turbine.When these ships collide into wind turbine structures,this can result in significant changes to the foundation and structure of the wind turbine.In this paper,the structural load of a 4 MW offshore wind turbine was analyzed during a collision with an operations and maintenance ship.The variations in the wind speeds on hub height,waves,and the sea currents were measured.The dynamic simulation of the wind turbine was carried out using the test data as the input parameters.As a result,the load condition of the turbine without a collision was obtained.Finally,the measured turbine load was compared with the simulation results.This study shows that the collision of the operation and the maintenance ship increases the bending moments at the tower’s bottom and the blade’s roots.Haikun Jia Shiyao Qin Ruiming Wang Yang Xue Deyi Fu Anqing Wang 2020Global Energy Interconnection2020,3,1:4
6Role of Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness and Optic Disk Measurement by OCT onEarly Diagnosis of Glaucoma显示文摘Purpose:.Glaucoma is an eye disease that can lead to irreversible optic nerve damage and cause blindness. Optical coherence tomography.(OCT) allows an early diagnosis of glaucoma by the measurements of the retinal nerve fiber and optic disc parameters.A retrospective study was designed to analyze the effects of the measurement of the retinal nerve fiber layer(RNFL) thickness and the optic disc tomography by spectraldomain OCT on the early diagnosis of suspected glaucoma and primary open angle glaucoma(POAG).Methods:.This was a clinical case-control study. The RNFL thickness around the optic disc and optic disk tomographic parameters of the control(n=51, 98 eyes), suspected glaucoma(n=81,.146 eyes), and POAG groups(n=55, 106 eyes) were measured by OCT. The parameters included superior, inferior, nasal and temporal mean RNFL thickness,.disc area(DA), cup area(CA), rim area(RA), disc volume(DV),cup volume(CV), rim volume(RV), cup / disc area ratio(CA / DA), rim / disc area ratio(RA / DA), cup / disc volume ratio(CV / DV) and rim / disc volume ratio(RV / DV).Results: Superior, nasal, and mean RNFL parameters, DA,CA,RA, DV, CV, CA / DA, RA / DA, CV / DV and RV / DV significantly differed among three groups by single-factorial ANOVA. Inferior and temporal RNFL thickness significantly differed between the control and POAG groups. No significant difference was observed in RV among three groups. In the POAG group,.the maximum area under the ROC curve(AROC) of mean RNFL thickness was 0.845. The maximum AROC of optic disk parameters was RA / DA(0.998), followed by CA / DA(0.997). 9Mapping of wheat stripe rust resistance gene Yr041133 by BSR-Seq analysis显示文摘Puccinia striiformis Westend. f. sp. tritici(Pst) pathotype CYR34 is widely virulent and prevalent in China.Here, we report identification of a strpie rust resistance(Yr) gene, designated Yr041133, in winter wheat line 041133. This line produced a hypersensitive reaction to CYR34 and conferred resistance to 13 other pathotypes. Resistance to CYR34 in line 041133 was controlled by a single dominant gene. Bulked segregant RNA sequencing(BSR-Seq) was performed on a pair of RNA bulks generated by pooling resistant and susceptible recombinant inbred lines. Yr041133 was mapped to a 1.7 c M genetic interval on the chromosome arm 7 BL that corresponded to a 0.8 Mb physical interval(608.9–609.7 Mb) in the Chinese Spring reference genome. 16Relationship between Foxp3-3279(rs376158) Polymorphism and Dust Mite Allergic Conjunctivitis显示文摘Purpose:To investigate the genotyping of Foxp3-3279(A /C,rs376158) genes in patients with dust mite-induced allergic conjunctivitis from Guangdong province and to explore the association between these genes and the susceptibility to dust mite allergic conjunctivitis.Methods:.In total,.80 patients with dust mite allergic conjunctivitis and 103 healthy Han Chinese were enrolled in the study and received genotyping of Foxp3-3279(A / C,rs376158)by PCR-SSP technique.Results: Genotype frequency of Foxp3-3279 AA,.CA,.and CC in patients with dust mite allergic conjunctivitis were 1.25%,25.00% and 73.75%,respectively. 20Experimental Study on the Characteristics of Water Vapor Generation from Gas-washing Bottle and Injector显示文摘Gas-washing and water injection are two commonly used methods in generating certain moisture content in gas flow stream, but the control accuracy of these methods remains uncertain. The purpose of the study is to investigate the characteristic of water vapor generation of the two methods. The temperature and humidity recorder and FTIR gas analyzer have been adopted to monitor the moisture content in tests. It has been revealed that, in gas-washing process, the moisture content in gas stream is well below saturation, and long time is required before moisture content stabilized after water bath temperature or carrier gas flow rate changed. Water injection pump could directly control the amount of water injected into gas stream.
