| 1 | Performance-enhanced and cost-effective triboelectric nanogenerator based on stretchable electrode for wearable SpO2 monitoring显示文摘Recently,stretchable and wearable health monitoring equipment has greatly improved human’s daily life,which sets higher demands for portable power source in stretchability,sustainability,and biocompatibility.In this work,we proposed a stretchable triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)based on stretchable poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS)/porous carbon hybrid for oxyhemoglobin saturation(SpO2)monitoring.To combine advantages of carbon material for its high conductivity and organic electrode for its high stretchability,we spin-coated a solution of PEDOT:PSS/porous carbon onto a plasma-treated pre-stretched Ecoflex film to fabricate a stretchable electrode with rough surface.Due to its roughness and high potential difference with the dielectric material,the stretchable-electrode-based TENG exhibited better performance compared to the pristine TENG based on carbon or PEDOT:PSS material.The output voltage and current reached up to 51.5 V and 13.2μA as the carbon concentration increased.More importantly,the performance further increased under large strain(100%)which is suitable for wearable systems.Finally,the device demonstrated its application potential for powering a flexible blood oxygen monitor.This simple and cost-effective method can enhance the stretchability and stability of organic/inorganic electrode-based TENG,which paves the development of high-performance stretchable TENG. | Huamin Chen Wei Yang Cheng Zhang Mingqiang Wu Wenjie Li Yuxiao Zou Longfeng Lv Hualiang Yu Huizhen Ke Ruping Liu Yun Xu Jun Wang Zhou Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 2 |
| 2 | Recent Strengthening of the Regional Hadley Circulation over the Western Pacific during Boreal Spring显示文摘Previous studies suggested that there are large discrepancies in the intensity trend of the zonally averaged Hadley circulation (ZAHC) among different reanalyses. As the land, ocean, and topography are not evenly distributed, the ZAHC may mask the regional variability. Changes in the regional HC have important implications for regional climate change. Here, we detect the long-term trend of the boreal spring regional Hadley circulation intensity over the western Pacific (WPHC) since 1979 in both hemispheres using six reanalysis datasets. Unlike the ZAHC, we find that the trend of the spring WPHC intensity is consistent among various reanalysis datasets. All reanalyses show pronounced strengthening trends for the WPHC in both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, which may be partly attributable to the robust warming trends of sea surface temperature in the tropical western Pacific. | 3 | Lowering of Blood Lipid Levels with a Combination of Pitavastatin and Ezetimibe in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease:A Meta-Analysis显示文摘Objectives:According to the findings of randomized controlled trials,blood lipid levels in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)can be significantly decreased through a combination of pitavastatin and ezetimibe;however,the effects and clinical applications of this treatment remain controversial.This meta-analysis was aimed at objectively assessing the efficacy and safety of pitavastatin and ezetimibe in lowering blood lipid levels.Design:Relevant studies were retrieved from electronic databases,including PubMed,Cochrane Library,Embase,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,VIP,and WanFang Data,from database inception to June 8,2022.The lev-els of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,total cholesterol,triglycerides,and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in patients’serum after treatment were the primary endpoint.Results:Nine randomized controlled trials(2586 patients)met the inclusion criteria.The meta-analysis indi-cated that pitavastatin plus ezetimibe resulted in significantly lower levels of LDL-C[standardized mean difference(SMD)=−0.86,95%confidence interval(CI)(−1.15 to−0.58),P<0.01],TC[SMD=−0.84,95%CI(−1.10 to−0.59),P<0.01],and TG[SMD=−0.59,95%CI(−0.89 to−0.28),P<0.01]than pitavastatin alone.Conclusions:Pitavastatin plus ezetimibe significantly decreased serum LDL-C,TC,and TG levels in patients with CHD. | Ruping Cai Chen Chang Xingjie Zhong Qiang Su | 2023 | Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications2023,7,1: | 1 |

| 7 | Diel vertical migration of mesozooplankton in the northern Yellow Sea显示文摘The Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass(YSCWM),one of the most vital hydrological features of the Yellow Sea,causes a seasonal thermocline from spring to autumn.The diel vertical migration(DVM)of zooplankton is crucial to structural pelagic communities and food webs,and its patterns can be aff ected by thermocline depth and strength.Hence,we investigated zooplankton community succession and seasonal changes in zooplankton DVM at a fixed station in the YSCWM.Annual zooplankton community succession was aff ected by the forming and fading of the YSCWM.A total of 37 mesozooplankton taxa were recorded.The highest and lowest species numbers in autumn and spring were detected.The highest and lowest total densities were observed in autumn(14464.1 inds./m^(3))and winter(3115.4 inds./m^(3)),respectively.The DVM of the dominant species showed obvious seasonal variations.When the YSCWM was weak in spring and autumn,most species(e.g.Paracalanus parvus,Oithona similis,and Acartia bifilosa)stayed above the thermocline and vertically migrated into the upper layer.Calanus sinicus and Aidanosagitta crassa crossed the thermocline and vertically migrated.No species migrated through the stratification in summer,and all of the species were limited above(P.parvus and A.crassa)or below(C.sinicus and Centropages abdominalis)the thermocline.The YSCWM disappeared in winter,and zooplankton species were found throughout the water column.Thus,the existence of thermocline influenced the migration patterns of zooplankton.Cluster analyses showed that the existence of YSCWM resulted in significant differences between zooplankton communities above and below the thermocline. | Ruping GE Hongju CHEN Guangxing LIU Yanzhong ZHU Qiang JIANG | 2021 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,4: | 1 |

| 13 | BRCA1 involved in regulation of Bcl-2 expression and apoptosis susceptibility to ionizing radiation显示文摘BRCA1 has been proposed to be tightly linked to the resistance of tumor cells to ionizing radiation. The pathway leading to this phenomenon is not yet clear. In this work, we investigated the role of BRCA1 in the apoptosis regulation in response to carbon ion irradiation. We utilized three different cancer cell lines with various states for BRCA1 and p53 to identify the relationship between endogenous BRCA1 and the apoptosis-related genes, and determine whether p53 function would affect the role of BRCA1 in apoptosis regulation. By Western blot analysis, we found that Bax expressions were not significantly changed after irradiation in all of three cell lines. However, Bcl-2 expression showed an up-regulation by endogenous BRCA1 regardless of p53 status. Moreover, the changes in Bcl-2 protein were due to the increase in the transcriptional levels of Bcl-2 mRNA, based on real-time PCR assay. At the same time, BRCA1-deficient cells showed a greater apoptosis susceptibility to irradiation when compared with BRCA1-proficient cells. | 14 | Capilliposide from Lysimachia capillipes promotes terminal differentiations and reverses paclitaxel resistance in A2780T cells of human ovarian cancer by regulating Fos/Jun pathway显示文摘Objective:To investigate the potential effect of Lysimachia capillipes capilliposide(LCC)on the chemo sensitivity and the stemness of human ovarian cancer cells.Methods:Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK8)was used to measure the IC50 values.The apoptosis of cells was measured through flow cytometry.Evaluation of the stemness and differentiation markers was performed by the immunoblotting and the immunostaining assays.RNA-seq was performed through the Illumina HiSeq PE150 platform and differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were screened out through the bioinformation analysis.Overexpression or knockdown of Fos gene was achieved by shRNA transfection.Results:Pre-exposure of A2780T cells with 10μg/mL LCC sensitized them to paclitaxel,of which the IC50 value reduced from 8.644μmol/L(95%CI:7.315–10.082μmol/L)to 2.5μmol/L(95%CI:2.233–2.7882μmol/L).Exposure with LCC enhanced the paclitaxel-induced apoptosis and inhibited the colony formation of A2780T cells.LCC exposure reduced the expression of cancer stemness markers,ALDH1,Myd88 and CD44,while promoting that of terminal differentiation markers,NFATc1,Cathepsin K and MMP9.RNAseq analysis revealed that the expressions of FOS and JUN were upregulated in LCC-treated A2780T cells.A2780T cells overexpressing Fos gene displayed increased paclitaxel-sensitivity and reduced cell stemness,and shared common phenotypes with LCC-treated A2780T cells.Conclusion:These findings suggested that LCC promoted terminal differentiations of ovarian cancer cells and sensitized them to paclitaxel through activating the Fos/Jun pathway.LCC might become a novel therapy that targets at cancer stem cells and enhances the chemotherapeutic effect of ovarian cancer treatments. | Ke Zhang Hanyue Ying Ruping Zhao Yuanyuan Chen Qinghua Deng | 2022 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2022,14,1: | 0 |

| 16 | Functional groups and seasonal diversity of crustacean zooplankton in adjacent waters of Haizhou Bay,South Yellow Sea显示文摘Zooplankton are important linkages in the food web and can respond nonlinearly to environmental changes.Marine organisms thrive from spring to summer.Thus,it is crucial to understand how ecological functions of zooplankton communities may shift under seasonal environmental changes during this period.Samples were collected from May to August(May,June-Ⅰ,June-Ⅱ,July-Ⅰ,July-Ⅱ,and August)in 2018 in Haizhou Bay,Jiangsu,East China for zooplankton and environmental variables.Crustaceans accounted for 75 out of 134 zooplankton taxa and 91.8%of total zooplankton abundance.The average abundance of crustacean varied between 2824.6±635.4 inds./m3 in July-Ⅱand 6502.7±1008.8 inds./m3 in June-Ⅱ.Multivariate analyses results showed that the dissimilarity of community increased gradually in the time series.Body length,feeding type,trophic group,and reproduction mode were used to investigate crustacean community functions.Trait-based functional groups contained species with similar ecological roles.Functional diversity fused the differences of species and trait.The proportion of large-sized species(2-5 mm)decreased with the increasing proportion of medium-sized species(1-2 mm).The proportion of current feeders increased with the drop in the proportion of mixed feeders.Parthenogenesis species increased with decreasing free spawners,and omnivores-carnivores increased with decreasing omnivoresherbivores.Generalized additive models suggested that temperature was the main driver of variations in crustacean zooplankton function.Seven identified functional groups varied with increasing temperature.Omnivorous-herbivorous copepods declined(90.0%-68.0%),whereas the parthenogenetic cladocerans increased(0-24.1%).The small egg-brooding ambush copepods fluctuated(6.5%-9.3%)with increasing water temperature.The other functional groups changed slightly.Functional diversity also varied according to temperature changes.The community structure and ecological function of crustacean zooplankton community showed gradual changes with increasing temperature from spring to summer. | Zeqi ZHENG Shunan FU Yixuan LI Ruping GE Hongju CHEN Zhenjiang YE Yunyun ZHUANG Guangxing LIU | 2023 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,3: | 0 |
| 17 | Trait-based approach revealed the seasonal variation of mesozooplankton functional groups in the South Yellow Sea显示文摘Functional traits determine the fitness of organisms and mirror their ecological functions.Although trait-based approaches provide ecological insights,it is underexploited for marine zooplankton,particularly with respect to seasonal variation.Here,based on four major functional traits,including body length,feeding type,trophic group,and reproduction mode,we quantified the seasonal variations of mesozooplankton functional groups in the South Yellow Sea(SYS)in the spring,summer,and autumn of 2018.Strong seasonal dynamics were identified for all traits but patterns varied among traits.Small zooplankton(47.7–88.6%),omnivores–herbivores(81.3–97.6%),and free spawners(54.8–92.5%)dominated in three seasons,while ambush feeders and current feeders dominated in spring(45.7%),and autumn(73.4%),respectively.Cluster analysis of the functional traits showed that the mesozooplankton in the SYS can be classified into eight functional groups.The biogeographic and seasonal variations of functional groups can be partially explained by environmental drivers.Group 1,represented by omnivores–herbivores,was the most dominant functional group,the abundance of which peaked in spring and was positively correlated with chlorophyll a concentration,indicating its close association with phytoplankton dynamics.The contribution of giant,active ambush carnivores,passive ambush carnivore jellyfish,current omnivores–detritivores,and parthenogenetic cladocerans increased with sea surface temperature.The proportion of giant,active ambush carnivores and active ambush omnivore–carnivore copepods decreased with salinity in autumn.This study presents a new perspective for understanding the dynamics of zooplankton and paves the way for further research on the functional diversity of zooplankton in the SYS. | Zhishuang Zhang Hongju Chen Yixuan Li Ruping Ge Guangxing Liu Shaukat Ali Yunyun Zhuang | 2023 | Marine Life Science & Technology2023,5,1: | 0 |
| 18 | Unique capability of NdPO_(4)to activate hydrogen for efficient hydrogenation of furfural to furfuryl alcohol over Nd-Co-P composites显示文摘Efficient and applicable catalysts are highly desirable for advanced biomass transformation industry,here,we fabricated a series of Nd-Co-P catalysts for hydrogenation of furfural(FAL)to furfuryl alcohol(FOH).By comprehensive characterizations,it is demonstrated that the prepared Nd-Co-P samples are structured as(NdPO_(4))_(m)/Co_(2)P nanocomposites with molar ratio(m)in range of 0.24-1.1;by manipulating m,the outstanding catalytic efficiency comparable with the performance of precious metal catalysts,such as turnover frequency(TOF)up to 0,50 s^(-1)(being ten-fold higher than Co_(2)P)and FOH yield up to97%,is achieved on the reusable(NdPO_(4))_(m)/Co_(2)P composites.Te mperature programmed desorption(TPD),in-situ infrared spectroscopy(IR)and kinetic-mechanism studies further disclose that Co_(2)P is decisive for activating FAL,instead,NdPO_(4)possesses unique capability of activating hydrogen which readily facilitate the selective hydrogenation of FAL to FOH through a rapid Langmuir-Hinshelwood process over(NdPO_(4))_(m)/Co_(2)P catalyst.These results indicate that rare-earth phosphates like NdPO_(4)can act as the promising and reliable catalytic component to activate hydrogen,which can be of interest not only for innovating novel and applicable non-metallic catalysts for sustainable biomass transformation analogous to hydrogenation of FAL,but also for expanding material base for other green mass transformation techniques involving hydrogen. | Xianghua He Ben Dai Yafang Zhang Dan Zhao Dihui Zhang Ruping Liang Chao Chen | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,7: | 0 |
