1Pediatric reference intervals in China(PRINCE):design and rationale for a large,multicenter collaborative cross-sectional study显示文摘There is a lack of accurate pediatric reference intervals(RIs) in China, with most commonly used RIs established without consideration of the effect of age and gender. The Pediatric Reference Intervals in China(PRINCE) project aims to establish and verify pediatric RIs for 31 common laboratory measurands.The project will be a large, multicenter cross-sectional study:14,490 healthy children and adolescents aged up to 19 years will be surveyed by 10 children's hospitals and one pediatric department of a university hospital. To evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of the study methods, 602 children were surveyed in the pilot phase of the PRINCE study in April 2017: it found that some measurands were distinctly age dependent and that there were differences between values for males and females. The results of the pilot study affirmed the necessity of the PRINCE project for Chinese pediatrics. The pilot also indicated potential difficulties in the full survey, e.g., difficulties in recruiting children aged under 3 years and insufficient collection of blood samples from infants. 2Clearance Influence on Dynamic Response of Intermittent Roller Chain Drive显示文摘The clearances appear in chain link hinges induced by manufacturing tolerance or wear of components are the most important factor that influences the dynamic performance of the intermittent roller chain drives.Due to the existence of the clearances in chain link hinges,the serious impact vibration phenomenon which influences the stability and the position accuracy of the chain drive system would be caused in the intermittent motion.But,the problem may be that a reasonable modeling on the chain with clearances is difficult due to the large clearance's number in chain system and the fact that the clearance' size are different.Currently,the studies on the dynamics of the intermittent roller chain considering the multi-clearance' joints are rare.Most research works have only focused on the constant moving chains.Taking the intermittent roller chain system as an object,this paper designs and builds the experimental device of this kind of mechanical system.The Longitudinal vibration response of the intermittent chain under the different motion laws was tested.The experimental study shows that the clearances presented in chain link hinges can cause severe impact vibration in the intermittent motion of chain.In subsequent work,the dynamic model of the intermittent roller chain system with the multi-clearance' joints was established.By calculating the dynamic response of this kind of mechanical system under the different motion laws,the effect of the clearances on the dynamic response of the intermittent chain drive system was analyzed.The theoretical simulation shows that the serious impact vibration phenomenon of the chain system can be caused by the clearances at the start accelerating period,and the chain drive system is often accompanied by the severe shock and vibration at the moment that the chain moves from the acceleration period to deceleration period.The research conclusions made by the experimental and theoretical studies indicate that the use of motion laws with small and continuous jerk at conversion point can effectively suppress the impact vibration at this point caused by clearances' effect.Additionally,the use of nonsymmetrical motion laws with small jerk approaching the end of the indexing period can obtain a smaller residual vibration.The presented motion law can provide an important reference for the improvement of the dynamic performance of the intermittent chain drive systems.XU Lixin YANG Yuhu CHANG Zongyu SHEN Zhaoguang LIU Jianping 2010Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,6:11
3Routing optimization for multi-type containerships in a hub-and-spoke network显示文摘This paper considers the ship routing optimization problem in a hub-and-spoke network.A routing optimization model for multi-type containerships with time deadlines is established,and the target is to minimize the total cost,which consists of the total travelling cost,total service cost and total waiting cost.The model is set up through an improved genetic algorithm.The study data are from the Pearl River Delta region of China,which include 1 hub port and 29 feeder ports and have a population of 30 million.Result shows that when the iteration time reaches 190,the total cost comes to 521 thousand yuan near the optimal value.There are 6 routes,including 3 containerships of 100 TEU,2 containerships of 150 TEU and 1 containership of 200 TEU.At the same time,in the single-type containerships case,there are 7 routes,and when the iteration time reaches 120,the total cost comes to 573 thousand yuan,which is close to the optimal value.Comparing the two cases,it shows that the model for multi-type containerships with time deadlines is reasonable,and the algorithm is practicable.In the last,three factors,which may affect the total cost to carry out sensitivity analysis are chosen.It shows that time deadline,containership capacity and cargo handling capacity of each port have significant influence on the total cost.It is also shown that the total cost for multi-type containerships is always less than that for the single-type containerships.Mingjun Ji Lixin Shen Baishun Shi Yanyan Xue Fei Wang 2015Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2015,2,5:5

5Effects of different biochars on antibiotic resistance genes during swine manure thermophilic composting显示文摘Elimination of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)in animal manure from concentrated animal feeding operations by thermophilic composting has drawn increasing attention.This study investigated the effects of sawdust biochar,corn stover biochar and peanut hull biochar with three spiked levels on ARGs in swine manure during thermophilic composting.Thirteen ARGs corresponding to four classes of antibiotics(tetracyclines,sulfonamides,macrolides and quinolones)were determined in the composting piles.Results indicated that the ten tested composting groups became fully mature after 30-day thermophilic composting process.tetM,tetO and ermB were reduced in all tested groups;tetC and tetG,tetX,sul1,sul2,ermF,qnrD and aac(6’)-Ib were mostly reduced under low level biochar addition but increased under higher level biochar addition;gyrA increased under medium biochar addition and reduced in other groups;oqxB remained comparatively stable throughout the composting process.The addition levels of spiked biochar are more important than types of spiked biochar on the removal of ARGs in the composting pile.The average removal rates of ARGs in the control group,low,medium and high level biochar addition groups were 0.24 logs,0.52-0.72 logs,-0.52-0.18 logs and-0.19-0.21 logs,respectively.In summary,low level biochar addition could enhance the elimination of studied ARGs in swine manure during the composting process,while medium level biochar addition to the composting piles would increase the risk of ARGs’propagation.Jian Wang Bin Sui Yujun Shen Haibo Meng Lixin Zhao Haibin Zhou Ran Li Jingtao Ding Hongsheng Cheng Xi Zhang 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,6:5
6High rumen degradable starch decreased goat milk fat via trans-10,cis-12 conjugated linoleic acid-mediated downregulation of lipogenesis genes,particularly,INSIG1显示文摘Background:Starch is an important substance that supplies energy to ruminants.To provide sufficient energy for high-yielding dairy ruminants,they are typically fed starch-enriched diets.However,starch-enriched diets have been proven to increase the risk of milk fat depression(MFD)in dairy cows.The starch present in ruminant diets could be divided into rumen-degradable starch(RDS)and rumen escaped starch(RES)according to their different degradation sites(rumen or intestine).Goats and cows have different sensitivities to MFD.Data regarding the potential roles of RDS in milk fat synthesis in the mammary tissue of dairy goats and in regulating the occurrence of MFD are limited.Results:Eighteen Guanzhong dairy goats(day in milk=185±12 d)with similar parity,weight,and milk yield were selected and randomly assigned to one of three groups(n=6),which were fed an LRDS diet(Low RDS=20.52%),MRDS diet(Medium RDS=22.15%),or HRDS diet(High RDS=24.88%)for 5 weeks.Compared with that of the LRDS group,the milk fat contents in the MRDS and HRDS groups significantly decreased.The yields of short-,mediumand long-chain fatty acids decreased in the HRDS group.Furthermore,increased RDS significantly decreased ruminal B.fibrisolvens and Pseudobutyrivibrio abundances and increased the trans-10,cis-12 conjugated linoleic acid(CLA)and trans-10 C18:1 contents in the rumen fluid.A multiomics study revealed that the HRDS diet affected mammary lipid metabolism down-regulation of ACSS2,MVD,AGPS,SCD5,FADS2,CERCAM,SC5D,HSD17B7,HSD17B12,ATM,TP53RK,GDF1 and LOC102177400.Remarkably,the significant decrease of INSIG1,whose expression was depressed by trans-10,cis-12 CLA,could reduce the activity of SREBP and,consequently,downregulate the downstream gene expression of SREBF1.Conclusions:HRDS-induced goat MFD resulted from the downregulation of genes involved in lipogenesis,particularly,INSIG1.Specifically,even though the total starch content and the concentrate-to-fiber ratio were the same as those of the high-RDS diet,the low and medium RDS diets did not cause MFD in lactating goats.Lixin Zheng Shengru Wu Jing Shen Xiaoying Han Chunjia Jin Xiaodong Chen Shengguo Zhao Yangchun Cao Junhu Yao 2020Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2020,11,3:4
7Metagenome analysis reveals potential microbial functions in topsoil of wheat-maize rotation system with five-year application of fertilizers显示文摘Fertilization mode affects soil quality and ecological health.The effects of four fertilization regimens on lignocellulose content,readily degradable carbohydrate decomposition,and potential microbial functions in the topsoil of a wheat-maize rotation system between 2012 and 2017 were investigated.The fertilization regimens of control(control NFNB),high chemical fertilizer(HCF),high biochar plus low chemical fertilizer(HBLCF),and biochar-based fertilizer(BBF)were compared on soil fundamental properties,microbial structure,and potential function in soil carbohydrate degradation based on metagenome analysis.The diversity of carbohydrate-active enzyme genes in the topsoil microbial consortia in the four trials was primarily distributed within the ten ecologically most dominant phyla.Application of BBF was associated with the lowest decline in total nitrogen and P2O5(2012-2017:6.5%and 28.1%,respectively)and the most effective carbohydrate decomposition(2015-2017:67.0%for cellulose and 59.9%for readily degradable carbohydrate).Carbohydrate transport and metabolism accounted for 6.0%of reads assigned functional classification under the BBF regimen.These findings reveal the ecologically functional diversity of topsoil microorganisms and suggest BBF application as a promising strategy for sustainable agriculture and beneficial to soil health.Yujun Shen Lixin Zhao Haibo Meng Hongsheng Cheng Jingtao Ding Jiarui Wang Shanshan Dong Xi Zhang Liqiu Song Shengwei Zheng 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6:3

11Spatial-temporal Distribution Characteristics of Global Seismic Clusters and Associated Spatial Factors显示文摘Earthquakes exhibit clear clustering on the earth. It is important to explore the spatial-temporal characteristics of seismicity clusters and their spatial heterogeneity. We analyze effects of plate space, tectonic style, and their interaction on characteristic of cluster.Based on data of earthquakes not less than moment magnitude(M_w) 5.6 from 1960 to 2014, this study used the spatial-temporal scan method to identify earthquake clusters. The results indicate that seismic spatial-temporal clusters can be classified into two types based on duration: persistent clusters and burst clusters. Finally, we analysed the spatial heterogeneity of the two types. The main conclusions are as follows: 1) Ninety percent of the persistent clusters last for 22-38 yr and show a high clustering likelihood;ninety percent of the burst clusters last for 1-1.78 yr and show a high relative risk. 2) The persistent clusters are mainly distributed in interplate zones, especially along the western margin of the Pacific Ocean. The burst clusters are distributed in both intraplate and interplate zones, slightly concentrated in the India-Eurasia interaction zone. 3) For the persistent type, plate interaction plays an important role in the distribution of the clusters’ likelihood and relative risk. In addition, the tectonic style further enhances the spatial heterogeneity. 4) For the burst type,neither plate activity nor tectonic style has an obvious effect on the distribution of the clusters’ likelihood and relative risk. 12Coping with Pressures of Modernization by Traditional Farmers: a Strategy for Sustainable Rural Development in Yunnan, China显示文摘Traditional farming practices conform to sustainable rural livelihoods, while agricultural modernisation tends to undermine these practices through various perturbations. A case study in Tengchong County (western Yunnan, China) shows that transformation of traditional alder (Alnus nepalensis) and dry rice (upland rice) rotational farming to introduced Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata (Lamb.) Hook.) plantations leads to localised water scarcity and soil fertility decline. While farmers are aware of ecological sustainability of traditional farming, they prefer Chinese fir forestry because it is less labour-intensive, has a high market value, and releases time for profitable off-farm work. Farmers adapt to economic liberalization by planting high value crops and trees. 13Mesona chinensis Benth polysaccharides alleviates liver injury by beneficial regulation of gut microbiota in cyclophosphamide-induced mice显示文摘There are a number of health benefits of Mesona chinensis Benth polysaccharide(MP),but little is known about its hepatoprotective effect and effect on gut microbiota composition in mice with liver damage induced by cyclophosphamide(CTX).This study indicated that MP supplementation effectively inhibited the production of serum aspartate aminotransferase(AST)and alanine aminotransferase(ALT),enhanced liver antioxidant capacity and repaired liver damage in mice caused by CTX.The release of inflammatory cytokines in liver and the concentration of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)in serum were decreased,and the level of short chain fatty acids(SCFAs)in colon was increased after MP administration.Those effects may be correlated with the regulation of the gut microbiota.Importantly,MP restrained liver inflammatory responses induced by CTX may via increasing the SCFAs-producing bacteria family Ruminococcaceae and reduced LPS-producing bacteria genus Bacteroides.In short,the prevention of CTX-induced liver injury by supplementing MP is achieved at least in part by regulating the community structure of the gut microbiota,and MP is expected to be a potential prebiotic to treat and prevent liver diseases.Yuzhen Hong Mingyue Shen Lixin Huang Ting Wu Jianhua Xie 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,1:2
