| 1 | Performances evaluation of four typical unmanned aerial vehicles used for pesticide application in China显示文摘In recent years,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)for plant protection have achieved rapid development in China.In order to test and evaluate the performances of pesticides application and development status of UAVs in China,four typical UAV models were selected to test the spraying coverage,penetrability,droplets density and the work efficiency.The results showed that the deposition and spraying liquid coverage were inconsistent both in lateral and longitudinal direction.Under the condition of the similar amount of spray volume and operation parameters,the volume median diameter(VMD)of the droplet was negatively correlated with the coverage density.The failure of the UAVs for plant protection mainly took up on the blockage of nozzle,transfusion tube and the liquid pump.The failure rate of UAVs took up 3.73%-4.36%of the total working time.The operation of UAVs during ground service took up 50%of the total working time,the preparation work took up 10%,and the route planning took up around 10%,while net operation time only took up around 30%.On the whole,the high efficiency of UAV was not fully achieved;the daily operated area was not in a satisfactory level now.The spraying performances of UAVs still need further improvement. | Wang Shilin Song Jianli He Xiongkui Song Le Wang Xiaonan Wang Changling Wang Zhichong Ling Yun | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,4: | 25 |
| 2 | Molecular epidemiology and evolution of worldwide enterovirus 71 strains isolated from 1970 to 2004显示文摘Human enterovirus 71 (EV71) is one of the major etiological agents of the hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD) that often causes severe neurological complications. Recently,its outbreaks mainly take place in the torrid zone of the Asia-Pacific region. To study the evolution and genetic variability,we collected 532 EV71 strains with almost complete or complete VP1 sequences (891 nt) isolated worldwide from 1970 to 2004. The pairwise homologies and genetic distances were analyzed. Most strains belong to previously identified genotype B and C. However,a unique strain R13223-IND-01 appears not to fall into current three genotypes (A,B and C),and probably represents a new genotype D. Some orphan strains were observed in the genotypes B and C,and their significance in the EV71 evolution was discussed. Moreover,there is a significant co-variance of 6 discrete positions on VP1 (amino acid 43,58,164,184,240 and 249). | 6 | Testing method and distribution characteristics of spatial pesticide spraying deposition quality balance for unmanned aerial vehicle显示文摘In order to explore the spatial pesticide spraying deposition distribution,the downwash flow field characteristics for unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)pesticide application with accurate flight height and velocity and the relationship of these two aspects,a novel measurement method was proposed in this paper.A model‘3WQF80-10’single-rotor diesel UAV was tested using this method in wheat field and the effects of flight direction,flight parameters and crosswind on the distribution of spatial spraying deposition quality balance(SSDQB)and the downwash flow field distribution were researched.A cuboid aluminum sampling frame of spatial spraying deposition quality balance(SFSSDQB)with monofilament wires was made for collecting the droplets in four directions,and a set of multi-channel micro-meteorology measurement system(MMMS)was applied for measuring the downwash wind speed in three directions.Besides,BeiDou Navigation Satellite System(BNSS)was used for controlling and recording the working height,velocity and track of this model of single-rotor UAV.The results showed the distribution of the spatial spray deposition and the downwash flow field of UAV could be measured effectively at exact flight height and velocity via this method.When the average wind speed was 0.9 m/s,the average temperature was 31.5℃ and the average relative humidity was 34.1%,and the average distribution ratios of spraying deposition for model‘3WQF80-10’UAV on the upwind part,the top part,the downwind part and the bottom part were 4.4%,2.3%,50.4%and 43.7%,respectively.The flight directions of forward and backward had an impact on droplet deposition distribution and the working effect of flying backwards,with 60%of deposition ratio of the bottom part of the SFSSDQB,was better than flying forward.There was a linear negative correlation between the coefficient of variation(CV)of the bottom part and the flight height and the coefficient of determination was 0.9178,which means that the deposition distribution becomes more uniform with the increase of height.Additionally,there was a linear positive correlation between weighted mean deposition rate and crosswind speed and the coefficient of determination was 0.9684,which shows the deposition distribution gets more concentrated towards the downwind part with the rise of crosswind speed.Therefore,according to the results of tests of downwash airflow speed,it is shown that regardless of the flight direction and height and the crosswind,all these factors influence the droplet deposition distribution via weakening the intensity of the downwash airflow field in the direction perpendicular to the ground.The results can provide valuable information for the research of UAV pesticide application techniques and the establishment of the standard of spraying deposition and drift tests of UAV in crop field. | Changling Wang Xiongkui He Xiaonan Wang Zhichong Wang Shilin Wang Longlong Li Jane Bonds Andreas Herbst Zhiguo Wang | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,2: | 14 |
| 7 | Preliminary report on methane emissions from the Three Gorges Reservoir in the summer drainage period显示文摘Recently reported summertime methane (CH4) emissions (6.7 ± 13.3 mg CH4/(m2·hr)) from newly created marshes in the drawdown area of the Three Gorges Reservoir (TGR), China have triggered broad concern in academic circles and among the public. The CH4 emissions from TGR water surfaces and drawdown areas were monitored from 3rd June to 16th October 2010 with floating and static chambers and gas chromatography. The average CH4 emission flux from permanently flooded areas in Zigui, Wushan and Yunyang Counties was (0.33 ± 0.09) mg CH4/(m2·hr). In half of these hottest months of the year, the wilderness, cropland and deforested drawdown sites were aerobic and located above water level, and the CH4 emissions were very small, ranging from a sink at 0.12 mg CH4/(m2·hr) to a source at 0.08 mg CH4/(m2·hr) except for one mud-covered site after flood. Mean CH4 emission in flooded drawdown sites was 0.34 mg CH4/(m2·hr). The emissions from the rice paddy sites in the drawdown area were averaged at (4.86 ± 2.31) mg CH4/(m2·hr). Excepting the rice-paddy sites, these results show much lower emission levels than previously reported. Our results indicated considerable spatial and temporal variation in CH4 emissions from the TGR. Human activities and occasional events, such as flood, may also affect emission levels. | 12 | Characteristics and sedimentary processes of lamina-controlled sand-particle imbricate structure in deposits on Lingshan Island, Qingdao, China显示文摘Imbricate structure is a common sedimentary structure and is well developed in sandy sediments.Here,we report a laminacontrolled fine-sand-particle imbricate structure in a set of very fine grained sedimentary rocks(fine sandstone,siltstone,and mudstone)at the Dockyard and Qianceng Cliff areas of Lingshan Island,Qingdao,Shandong,China.Sets of up to 300 laminae are found in stratigraphic profiles in these areas.The laminae are generally less than 1 mm thick,with most being 0.3–0.4 mm thick and the thinnest being<0.1 mm.The dip angle of the imbricate structure varies widely,between 0°and 90°,with an average dip angle of about 40°–50°,which is higher than that of imbricate riverbed gravels(about 34°).The dip angle is a function of the shape and sorting of the particles,as well as the hydrodynamic conditions under which these fine-grained sediments were deposited.Several profiles show well-developed multiscale,soft-sediment deformation structures.Flute casts,load casts,and groove casts are also common.Fragments of carbon remains occur widely and commonly constitute stringers several millimeters thick and up to 10 cm long,together with fine clasts.Vitrain lenticles are also common.Based on the imbricate structure of the Lingshan Island deposits,it is shown that in addition to paleocurrent analysis,the imbricate structure can be used to infer information about fluid properties,transport characteristics,and sedimentary processes of the depositional environment.A near-bottom underflow,either of authigenic origin or derived from cold river water in winter in a delta interdistributary bay or delta-front environment,is inferred to have provided the hydrodynamic setting in which this imbricate structure formed.The imbricate structure,together with other sedimentary structures and features,shows that the sedimentary rocks on Lingshan Island were deposited in an inland,shallow-water environment,such as a delta,and not in a deep-water or submarine continental-slope environment. | SHAO ZhuFu ZHONG JianHua LI Yong MAO Cui LIU ShengXin NI LiangTian TIAN Yuan CUI XinYing LIU YunTian WANG XiaoNan LI WeiHua LIN GangShan | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,5: | 11 |

| 15 | Chaiqinchengqi decoction regulates necrosis-apoptosis via regulating the release of mitochondrial cytochrome c and caspase-3 in rats with acute necrotizing pancreatitis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To explore the effect and the mechanism of Chaiqinchengqi decoction(CQCQD) on the apoptosis-necrosis switch of pancreatic acinar cells in acute necrotizing pancreatitis(ANP) in rats.METHODS: Sixty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into the control group, the ANP group and the CQCQD group. The acute pancreatitis(AP)model was induced by intraperitoneal injections of4 g/kg 8% L-Arginine(PH 7.0) twice with a 1 h interval. Rats in the CQCQD group were intragastrically administered CQCQD(20 mL/kg every 2 h, 3 times,then 20 mL/kg every 6 h, 3 times). Rats were killed at the 6 and 24 h after the induction of AP.The pancreatic tissues were collected for pathology and to isolate pancreatic acinar cells and mitochondria.RESULTS: CQCQD significantly ameliorated the severity of ANP by reducing the pancreatic histopathology score, indicated by lactate dehydrogenase levels at the 6 and 24 h. The CQCQD group promoted the apoptosis of pancreatic acinar cells by raising the apoptosis index compared with the ANP group and the control group. Mitochondrial cytochrome c at the 6 and 24 h in the ANP group were lower than that in the control group or the CQCQD group(0.67±0.13 vs 1.54±0.03 vs 0.81±0.09; 0.71±0.08 vs 1.55±0.09 vs 0.89±0.16, P<0.01). The cytochrome c levels in the cytoplasm at the 6 and 2 h in the CQCQD group were higher than in the control group(1.36±0.15 vs 0.67±0.04, 1.46±0.08 vs 0.59±0.09, P<0.01), or the ANP group(0.96±0.13, P>0.05;0.97±0.09, P<0.05). | 16 | Chemical Mechanism of Flower Color Microvariation in Paeonia with Yellow Flowers显示文摘Paeonia species are important ornamental plants,including three types:tree peony,herbaceous peony,and Itoh hybrid peony.Paeonia with yellow color is desired and becoming popular.However,the chemical mechanism of the formation of yellow flowers in Paeonia is still unclear.In this study,14 representative samples were selected:four samples of three species of Paeonia,four herbaceous peony cultivars,three lutea hybrid tree peony cultivars,and three Itoh hybrid peony cultivars.The petal extracts of the samples were determined by HPLC-DAD and HPLCQ-TOF-MS/MS.In total,29 flavonoids were isolated and identified,including 28 flavonol glycosides and one chalcone derivative.There were significant differences in the composition and content of flavonoids in petals of different cultivars(species).The total content of flavonoids was between 19.430 and 143.043 mg·g^−1 DW.Flavonol glycosides were detected in all samples.Chalconaringenin 2′-O-glucoside was detected from one herbaceous peony cultivar‘Golden Wheel’lutea hybrid tree peony cultivars,and Itoh peony cultivars.The content of chalconaringenin 2′-O-glucoside in the samples was more than 43% of total flavonoids.The pigment type and content of lutea hybrid tree peonies and Itoh hybrid peonies are similar.Total flavonoids,especially quercetin 3-O-galloylglucoside and chalconaringenin 2′-O-glucoside contribute greatly to the formation of yellow flowers of Paeonia.The results of this study provide a comprehensive understanding of the chemical mechanism for yellow flower coloration of Paeonia,and lay the foundation for yellow flower breeding of Paeonia. | Yong Yang Bing Li Chengyong Feng Qian Wu Qianyu Wang Shanshan Li Xiaonan Yu Liangsheng Wang | 2020 | Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,3: | 10 |
| 17 | Effect of Laser Welding Process Parameters on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties on Butt Joint of New Hot-Rolled Nano-scale Precipitation-Strengthened Steel显示文摘A 4 kW fiber laser was chosen to weld the new hot-rolled nano-scale precipitation-strengthened steel with a thickness of 4.5 mm. The effect of laser power, defocusing distance, and welding speed on the welded joint appearance was examined, and the microstructure and mechanical properties on the typical butt joints were investigated. Results showed that increasing laser welding power may cause faster downward flow of molten metal to produce greater root humping. With the welding speed increasing, the average welding seam(WS) width decreased, and the average WS and heat-affected zone(HAZ) hardness increased. The microstructures of WS, fusion line, and coarse grain heat-affected zone were lath martensite, but the growth direction of the original austenite grain boundaries was significantly different. The microstructures of fine grain heat-affected zone were ferrite and martensite, and the microstructure of mixed grain heataffected zone contained ferrite, massive M/A island, and a small amount of martensite. The micro-hardness values of WS,HAZ, and base metal(BM) were 358, 302, and 265 HV, respectively. | 18 | A two-step lineage reprogramming strategy to generate functionally competent human hepatocytes from fibroblasts显示文摘Terminally differentiated cells can be generated by lineage reprogramming,which is,however,hindered by incomplete conversion with residual initial cell identity and partial functionality. Here, we demonstrate a new reprogramming strategy by mimicking the natural regeneration route, which permits generating expandable hepatic progenitor cells and functionally competent human hepatocytes. Fibroblasts were first induced into human hepatic progenitor-like cells (hHPLCs), which could robustly expand in vitro and efficiently engraft in vivo. Moreover, hHPLCs could be efficiently induced into mature human hepatocytes (hiHeps) in vitro, whose molecular identity highly resembles primary human hepatocytes (PHHs). Most importantly, hiHeps could be generated in large quantity and were functionally competent to replace PHHs for drug-metabolism estimation, toxicity prediction and hepatitis B virus infection modeling. Our results highlight the advantages of the progenitor stage for successful lineage reprogramming.
