| 1 | Dome Combustion Hot Blast Stove for Huge Blast Furnace显示文摘In Shougang Jingtang 5 500m 3 huge blast furnace ( BF ) design , dome combustion hot blast stove ( DCHBS ) technology is developed.DCHBS process is optimized and integrated , and reasonable hot blast stove ( HBS ) technical parameters are determined.Mathematic model is established and adopted by computational fluid dynamics ( CFD ) .The transmission theory is studied for hot blast stove combustion and gas flow , and distribution results of HBS velocity field , CO density field and temperature field are achieved.Physical test model and hot trail unit are established , and the numeral calculation result is verified through test and investigation.3-D simulation design is adopted.HBS process flow and process layout are optimized and designed.Combustion air two-stage high temperature preheating technology is designed and developed.Two sets of small size DCHBSs are adopted to preheat the combustion air to 520-600℃.With the precondition of BF gas combustion , the hot blast stove dome temperature can exceed 1 420 ℃. | 2 | Formulation of Determining the Gravity Potential Difference Using Ultra-High Precise Clocks via Optical Fiber Frequency Transfer Technique显示文摘Based on gravity frequency shift effect predicted by general relativity theory, this study discusses an approach for determining the gravity potential(geopotential) difference between arbitrary two points P and Q by remote comparison of two precise optical clocks via optical fiber frequency transfer. After synchronization, by measuring the signal's frequency shift based upon the comparison of bidirectional frequency signals from P and Q oscillators connected with two optical atomic clocks via remote optical fiber frequency transfer technique, the geopotential difference between the two points could be determined, and its accuracy depends on the stabilities of the optical clocks and the frequency transfer comparison technique. Due to the fact that the present stability of optical clocks achieves 1.6×10-18 and the present frequency transfer comparison via optical fiber provides stabilities as high as 10-19 level, this approach is prospective to determine geopotential difference with an equivalent accuracy of 1.5 cm. | 7 | Influence of Calcareous Deposit on Corrosion Behavior of Q235 Carbon Steel with Sulfate-Reducing Bacteria显示文摘Cathodic protection is a very effective method to protect metals, which can form calcareous deposits on metal surface. Research on the interrelationship between fouling organism and calcareous deposits is very important but very limited, especially sulfate-reducing bacteria(SRB). SRB is a kind of very important fouling organism that causes microbial corrosion of metals. A study of the influence of calcareous deposit on corrosion behavior of Q235 carbon steel in SRB-containing culture medium was carried out using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and surface spectroscopy(EDS). The calcareous deposit was formed with good crystallinity and smooth surface under the gradient current density of -30 μA cm^(-2) in natural seawater for 72 h. Our results can help elucidate the formation of calcareous deposits and reveal the interrelationship between SRB and calcareous deposits under cathodic protection. The results indicate that the corrosion tendency of carbon steel was obviously affected by Sulfate-reducing Bacteria(SRB) metabolic activity and the calcareous deposit formed on the surface of carbon steel under cathodic protection was favourable to reduce the corrosion rate. Calcareous deposits can promote bacterial adhesion before biofilm formation. | 13 | Dietary restriction to accompany the aging process in mice Can it be neuroprotective?显示文摘BACKGROUND:Prophylactic dietary restriction(DR),whether lifelong or started in adulthood,retards the aging process and attenuates cognitive decline in rodents.However,whether the anti-aging and neuroprotective efficacy of DR initiate late in life or accompany the aging process remains unclear.OBJECTIVE:The present study sought to:(1) determine if DR could protect against behavioral decline in mice when implemented during the aging process induced by D-galactose and(2) examine neuronal apoptosis in these aged brains and whether DR could block apoptosis.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The randomized controlled animal study.The experiment was performed at the Experimental Animal Center of Capital Medical University and the Laboratory Center of School of Public Health of Captial Medical University of China from April 2006 to October 2007.MATERIALS:D-galactose(D-gal) was purchased from Beijing Chemical-Regent Company(Beijing,China).Terminal transferase dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) detection kit was obtained from Roche,Germany.Assay kits for antioxidant enzyme activities and malondialdehyde contents were purchased from Jiancheng Institute of Biotechnology(Nanjing,China).Morris water maze(Friends Honesty Life Sciences Co.Ltd.,Hong Kong,China) and Flow Cytometry(Coulter,USA) were used in this study.METHODS:A total of 40 male Institute of Cancer Research(ICR) mice,3 months old,were equally and randomly divided into D-gal treatment,DR treatment,D-gal + DR treatment and normal control groups,and were then randomly assigned to one of two feeding regimens:ad libitum access to food or DR which received a 70% amount of daily food intake as that by ad libitum fed mice.There were two replicates per feeding regimen and mice were fed for 10 weeks,with or without a daily subcutaneous injection of D-gal at 100 mg/kg.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Animals' spatial learning and memory performance were tested in the Morris water maze.Neuronal apoptosis rates were evaluated by Annexin V/flow cytometry assay and TUNEL assay.Lipid peroxidation levels and antioxidant defense capacity of the brain were measured using testing kits.RESULTS:DR markedly reduced the prolonged escape latency of D-gal mice in the water maze test(P < 0.01).Annexin V and TUNEL assays showed that the D-gal mice had a significant higher percentage of neuronal apoptosis compared with normal control mice(P < 0.05),and that DR treatment markedly decreased this apoptotic cell death(P < 0.05).DR also reversed the decline of total superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities and the increase of malondialdehyde levels in the brain of D-gal mice(P < 0.05,respectively).CONCLUSION:DR reduces the impact of D-gal-induced brain aging in mice and can reverse performance decline and neurobiochemical impairments.These results demonstrate that implementation of DR in conditions of chronic oxidative stress can be neuroprotective,and that senium DR can be beneficial for healthy aging. | Shougang Wei Xiaojuan He Shaojun Yun Shuhua Zhang Zhongxin Xiao | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,10: | 0 |
| 14 | Preparation of dynamic polyurethane networks with UV-triggered photothermal self-healing properties based on hydrogen and ion bonds for antibacterial applications显示文摘Photo-induced self-healing composites have attracted more and more attention as a kind of materials that can be controlled remotely and accurately in real time.Here,we report a strategy of a photo-responsive system based on hydrogen and ion bonds capable of performing self-healing process by ultraviolet wave-lengths,which is covalently cross-linked zinc-dimethylglyoxime-polyurethane coordination network with triple dynamic bonds.The recombination of hydrogen bond and metal coordination bond produces ef-fective healing performance.The self-healing behavior and temperature dependence of 3D micro-crack is investigated by molecular dynamics simulations to reveal the mechanism of self-healing at molecu-lar level.Moreover,the hybrid of copper-doped zinc oxide not only provides metal coordination bonds to enhance the self-healing rate,but also enhances the photothermal effect and anti-bacterial properties of polyurethane.Importantly,doping of copper generates more defects and forms a space charge layer on the surface of zinc oxide.The defects could trap surface electrons and holes,preventing the recom-bination of photo-induced electron-hole pairs,generating more heat through lattice vibration.Therefore,under ultraviolet light irradiation,the polyurethane can reach 62.7°C for 60 s,and the scratches of the polyurethane can be healed within 30 min and fully healed within 1 h. | Huimeng Feng Wei Wang Tong Wang Lei Zhang Wen Li Jue Hou Shougang Chen | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,2: | 0 |

| 19 | Effects of V Addition on Microstructural Evolution and Mechanical Properties of AlCrFe_(2)Ni_(2) High‑Entropy Alloys显示文摘The effects of vanadium addition on the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of AlCrFe_(2)Ni_(2) high-entropy alloy(HEA)were investigated.The results showed that the AlCrFe_(2)Ni_(2)V_(0.2) HEA was composed of FCC phase,disordered BCC phase,and ordered BCC(B2)phase.With the increase in vanadium content,the formation of FCC phase was inhibited,and a transition from FCC phase to BCC phase occurred.The FCC phase disappeared completely when the value of x exceeds 0.4 in AlCrFe_(2)Ni_(2)V_(x) HEAs.Besides,the amplitude-modulated microstructure morphology transformed from a B2 phase matrix with dispersed BCC nano-phase into an alternating interconnected B2 and BCC phases.Vanadium element has the function of stabilizing BCC phase and B2 phase in AlCrFe_(2)Ni_(2)V_(x) alloys.The hardness of AlCrFe_(2)Ni_(2)V_(x) alloys increased from HV 332.4 to HV 590.7,while the yield strength increased from 765 to 1744.6 MPa with increasing vanadium content,which was mainly due to the decreasing content of FCC phase and the solid solution strengthening of vanadium element.At the same time,the compression ratio of the alloys decreased with the disappearance of the FCC phase.Among the alloys,the AlCrFe_(2)Ni_(2)V_(0.2) alloy possessed the most excellent comprehensive mechanical properties with yield strength,fracture strength,and compressive ratio 1231.1,2861.9 MPa,and 44.5%,respectively. | Shougang Duan Qian Zhang Wenxuan Li Yong Dong Beibei Jiang Shichao Liu Chuanqiang Li Zhengrong Zhang | 2023 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2023,36,3: | 0 |
