| 2 | A systematic review of metabolomic profiling of gastric cancer and esophageal cancer显示文摘Objective:Upper gastrointestinal(UGI)cancers,predominantly gastric cancer(GC)and esophageal cancer(EC),are malignant tumor types with high morbidity and mortality rates.Accumulating studies have focused on metabolomic profiling of UGI cancers in recent years.In this systematic review,we have provided a collective summary of previous findings on metabolites and metabolomic profiling associated with GC and EC.Methods:A systematic search of three databases(Embase,PubMed,and Web of Science)for molecular epidemiologic studies on the metabolomic profiles of GC and EC was conducted.The Newcastle–Ottawa Scale(NOS)was used to assess the quality of the included articles.Results:A total of 52 original studies were included for review.A number of metabolites were differentially distributed between GC and EC cases and non-cases,including those involved in glycolysis,anaerobic respiration,tricarboxylic acid cycle,and protein and lipid metabolism.Lactic acid,glucose,citrate,and fumaric acid were among the most frequently reported metabolites of cellular respiration while glutamine,glutamate,and valine were among the most commonly reported amino acids.The lipid metabolites identified previously included saturated and unsaturated free fatty acids,aldehydes,and ketones.However,the key findings across studies to date have been inconsistent,potentially due to limited sample sizes and the majority being hospital-based case-control analyses lacking an independent replication group.Conclusions:Studies on metabolomics have thus far provided insights into etiological factors and biomarkers for UGI cancers,supporting the potential of applying metabolomic profiling in cancer prevention and management efforts. | Sha Huang Yang Guo Zhexuan Li Yang Zhang Tong Zhou Weicheng You Kaifeng Pan Wenqing Li | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020，17，1： | 11 |
| 3 | Effects of two polybrominated diphenyl ethers(BDE-47,BDE-209) on the swimming behavior, population growth and reproduction of the rotifer Brachionus plicatilis显示文摘Polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) are new kinds of persistent organic pollutants(POPs) and their potential threats to the equilibrium and sustainability of marine ecosystems have raised worldwide concerns. Here, two kinds of PBDEs, tetra-BDE(BDE-47)and deca-BDE(BDE-209) were applied, and their toxic effects on the swimming behavior,population growth and reproduction of Brachionus plicatilis were investigated. The results showed that:(1) The actual concentrations of BDE-47 and-209 in the seawater phase measured by GC–MS(Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer) were much lower than their nominal concentrations.(2) In accordance with the 24-hr acute tests, BDE-209 did not show any obvious swimming inhibition to rotifers, but a good correlation did exist between the swimming inhibition rate and BDE-47 concentration suggesting that BDE-47 is more toxic than BDE-209.(3) Both BDE-47 and-209 had a significant influence on the population growth and reproduction parameters of B. plicatilis including the population growth rate, the ratio of ovigerous females/non-ovigerous females(OF/NOF), the ratio of mictic females/amictic females(MF/AF), resting egg production and the mictic rate, which indicate that these parameters in B. plicatilis population were suitable for monitoring and assessing PBDEs. Our results suggest that BDE-47 and-209 are not acute lethal toxicants and may pose a low risk to marine rotifers at environmental concentrations for short-term exposure. They also accumulate differently into rotifers. | 4 | Rescue of a patient with a 50 cm broken PICC tube retracted and wrapped in pulmonary artery:a case report显示文摘Objective:With the increasing use of a peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)in clinical application,the breaking of the PICC is increasing as well,which would turn into the emboli and drift to the heart and pulmonary artery,causing severe consequences.However,few cases have been reported on the rescue of patients with a broken PICC.Patient concerns:A 33-year-old man,diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B-related decompensated cirrhosis and cryptococcal meningitis,was treated with amphotericin B combined with flucytosine and fluconazole by means of PICC catheterization.The patient was discharged with a catheter;when he returned for re-examination,a 50cm length of PICC broke and slipped into the vein after his sudden dysphoria.First aid was immediately administered,and then the intervention therapy to extricate the tube,including pulmonary artery angiography and intravascular removal of foreign matter,was performed based on the consensus of the in-hospital vein treatment group.At last,the broken PICC fragment was successfully taken out of the vessel.Re-examination after surgery showed that he recovered well.Conclusions:Once the catheter is broken,the X-ray examination should be performed at the first instance and re-examined frequently.Moreover,the involvement of a multidisciplinary team should be formed to decide the appropriate method of treatment to ensure a successful rescue. | Sha Yang Ren-Tao Yu Hui-Lan Zhang Xue Jiang Jian-Ping You | 2021 | Frontiers of Nursing2021，8，4： | 2 |
