2Mapping wetland changes in China between 1978 and 2008显示文摘Four wetland maps for all China have been produced,based on Landsat and CBERS-02B remote sensing data between 1978 and 2008 (1978,1990,2000 and 2008).These maps were mainly developed by manual interpretation and validated by substantial field investigation in 2009.Based on these maps,we analyzed the 2008 wetland distribution in China and discussed wetland changes and their drivers over the past 30 years.(i) There were about 324097 km 2 of wetlands in 2008,for which inland marshes or swamps were the most common wetland type (35%),with lakes (26%) second.Most of the wetlands were in Heilongjiang,Inner Mongolia,Qinghai and Tibet,occupying about 55% of the national wetland area.(ii) From 1978 to 2008,China's wetland area continually and significantly decreased,by about 33% based on changes in the wetland map.This was in sharp contrast to the increase in artificial wetlands,which increased by about 122%.Inland marshes accounted for the main loss of total wetlands from 1978 to 2000.From 2000 through 2008,riverine and lacustrine wetlands constituted the main wetland loss.Fortunately however,the rate of wetland loss decreased from 5523 to 831 km 2 /a.(iii) The change ratio of lost natural wetlands (including inland and coastal wetlands) to non-wetlands has decreased slightly over the past 30 years.From 1978 to 1990,nearly all natural wetlands (98%) lost were transformed into non-wetlands.However,the ratio declined to 86% from 1990 to 2000,and to 77% from 2000 to 2008.(iv) All Chinese provinces were divided into three groups according to patterns of wetland changes,which could relate to the driving forces of such changes.Tibet was completely different from other provinces,as it was one representative example in which there was a net wetland increase,because of global warming and decreased human activity since 1990.Increased economic development caused considerable wetland loss in most eastern provinces,and artificial wetlands increased.NIU ZhenGuo ZHANG HaiYing WANG XianWei YAO WenBo ZHOU DeMin ZHAO KuiYi ZHAO Hui LI NaNa HUANG HuaBing LI CongCong YANG Jun LIU CaiXia LIU Shuang WANG Lin LI Zhan YANG ZhenZhong QIAO Fei ZHENG YaoMin CHEN YanLei SHENG YongWei GAO XiaoHong ZHU WeiHong WANG WenQing WANG Hong WENG YongLing ZHUANG DaFang LIU JiYuan LUO ZhiCai CHENG Xiao GUO ZiQi GONG Peng 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,22:51
3Measurement-device-independent quantum communication without encryption显示文摘Security in communication is vital in modern life. At present, security is realized by an encryption process in cryptography. It is unbelievable if a secure communication is achievable without encryption. In quantum cryptography, there is a unique form of quantum communication, quantum secure direct communication, where secret information is transmitted directly over a quantum channel. Quantum secure direct communication is drastically distinct from our conventional concept of secure communication, because it does not require key distribution, key storage and ciphertext transmission, and eliminates the encryption procedure completely. Hence it avoids in principle all the security loopholes associated with key and ciphertext in traditional secure communications. For practical implementation, defects always exist in real devices and it may downgrade the security. Among the various device imperfections, those with the measurement devices are the most prominent and serious ones. Here we report a measurementdevice-independent quantum secure direct communication protocol using Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pairs. This protocol eradicates the security vulnerabilities associated with the measurement device,and greatly enhances the practical security of quantum secure direct communication. 7Toripalimab plus chemotherapy as second-line treatment in previously EGFR-TKI treated patients with EGFR-mutant-advanced NSCLC:a multicenter phase-II trial显示文摘This multicenter phase-II trial aimed to investigate the efficacy,safety,and predictive biomarkers of toripalimab plus chemotherapy as second-line treatment in patients with EGFR-mutant-advanced NSCLC.Patients who failed from first-line EGFR-TKIs and did not harbor T790M mutation were enrolled.Toripalimab plus carboplatin and pemetrexed were administrated every three weeks for up to six cycles,followed by the maintenance of toripalimab and pemetrexed.The primary endpoint was objective-response rate(ORR).Integrated biomarker analysis of PD-L1 expression,tumor mutational burden(TMB),CD8+tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte(TIL)density,whole-exome,and transcriptome sequencing on tumor biopsies were also conducted.Forty patients were enrolled with an overall ORR of 50.0%and disease-control rate(DCR)of 87.5%.The median progression free survival(PFS)and overall survival were 7.0 and 23.5 months,respectively.The most common treatment-related adverse effects were leukopenia,neutropenia,anemia,ALT/AST elevation,and nausea.Biomarker analysis showed that none of PD-L1 expression,TMB level,and CD8+TIL density could serve as a predictive biomarker.Integrated analysis of whole-exome and transcriptome sequencing data revealed that patients with DSPP mutation had a decreased M2 macrophage infiltration and associated with longer PFS than those of wild type.Toripalimab plus chemotherapy showed a promising anti-tumor activity with acceptable safety profiles as the second-line setting in patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC.DSPP mutation might serve as a potential biomarker for this combination.A phase-III trial to compare toripalimab versus placebo in combination with chemotherapy in this setting is ongoing(NCT03924050).Tao Jiang Pingyang Wang Jie Zhang Yanqiu Zhao Jianying Zhou Yun Fan Yongqian Shu Xiaoqing Liu Helong Zhang Jianxing He Guanghui Gao Xiaoqian Mu Zhang Bao Yanjun Xu Renhua Guo Hong Wang Lin Deng Ningqiang Ma Yalei Zhang Hui Feng Sheng Yao Jiarui Wu Luonan Chen Caicun Zhou Shengxiang Ren 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,11:8
8Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks.Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. 9Outcomes and mechanisms of ischemic preconditioning in liver transplantation显示文摘BACKGROUND: Liver transplantation is so far the most effective therapeutic modality for end-stage liver diseases, but ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury represents a critical barrier to liver transplantation. Primary graft dysfunction and small-for-size syndrome are closely associated with I/R injury. Ischemic preconditioning (IPC) is defined as a brief period of liver ischemia followed by reperfusion, and has demonstrated protections against a prolonged I/R injury and improved the capacity of regeneration. The article aimed to review IPC literatures for the understanding of the effects of IPC on I/R injury involving in the procurement of donor liver and protective mechanisms. DATA SOURCES: A literature search of MEDLINE and Web of Science databases using 'liver transplantation', 'liver regeneration', 'hepatectomy', 'ischemia/reperfusion' and 'ischemic preconditioning' was performed, and then a large amount of related data was collected. RESULTS: The literature search provided a huge amount of evidence for the protective effects of IPC on I/R injury in liver transplantation, including reduction of blood loss in hepatectomy, intraoperative hemodynamic stability and its significant role in liver regeneration. 11Prevalence and Risk Factors of Primary Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis in China显示文摘Objective To investigate the prevalence of primary drug-resistant tuberculosis(TB)and associated risk factors in China.We also explored factors contributing to the transmission of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis(MDR-TB).Methods A total of 2794 representative,Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates from treatment-naive patients were subjected to drug susceptibility testing,and risk factors for drug-resistant TB were analyzed.We also analyzed MDR-TB strain sublineages,drug-resistance-conferring mutations,and risk factors associated with clustered primary MDR strains.Results Among 2794 Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates from treatment-naive patients,the prevalence of any resistance to first-line drugs was 33.2%and the prevalence of MDR-TB was 5.7%.We did not find any risk factors significantly associated with resistance to first-line drugs.The 93 primary MDR-TB isolates were classified into six sublineages,of which,75(80.6%)isolates were the RD105-deleted Beijing lineage.The largest sublineage included 65(69.9%)isolates with concurrent deletions of RD105,RD207,and RD181.Twenty-nine(31.2%)primary MDR strains grouped in clusters;MDR isolates in clusters were more likely to have S531L rpoB mutation.Conclusion This study indicates that primary drug-resistant TB and MDR-TB strains are prevalent in China,and multiple measures should be taken to address drug-resistant TB.WANG Sheng Fen ZHOU Yang PANG Yu ZHENG Hui Wen ZHAO Yan Lin 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,2:6

16Clinical features, survival and prognostic factors of primary testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma显示文摘Objective: To assess the clinical features, survival and prognostic factors of primary testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL).Methods: A retrospective study of 37 patients with primary testicular DLBCL was carried out from November 2003 to May 2012. Their clinical features, survival and prognostic factors were analyzed.Results: During a median follow-up period of 39.8 months(5.4-93.0 months), the median progression-free survival(PFS) was 26.2 months(95% CI: 0-65 months) and the 3-year overall survival(OS) rate was 78.4%. Within the whole cohort, the factors significantly associated with a superior PFS were limited stage(stage I/II), lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) ≤245 U/L, international prognostic index(IPI) ≤1, primary tumor diameter <7.5 cm, and patients who had complete response(CR) and received doxorubicin-contained chemotherapy(P<0.05). There was a trend toward superior outcome for patients who received combined therapy(surgery/chemotherapy/radiotherapy)(P=0.055). Patients who had CR, primary tumor diameter <7.5 cm and IPI score ≤1 were significantly associated with longer PFS at multivariate analysis.Conclusions: Primary testicular DLBCL had poorer survival. CR, primary tumor diameter and IPI were independent prognostic factors. 18A retrospective analysis of real-world outcomes of elderly Chinese patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma显示文摘Background:Elderly patents with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) have a worse prognosis than younger patients,and the optimal treatment strategy for this group remains controversial.We conducted a retrospective analysis to investigate the clinical features and outcomes of elderly patients (>60 years) and to assess the impact of clinical and molecular factors on outcome in this age group.Methods:From April 2006 to December 2012,a total of 349 elderly patients with DLBCL from the National Cancer Center/Cancer Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,and Peking Union Medical College were included in this analysis.Patients were further divided into two age groups (61-69 years and ≥70 years).We compared clinical characteristics and outcomes between groups.Results:Of 349 total patients,204 (58.5%) were aged 61 to 69 years,and 145 (41.5%) patients were aged 70 years or older.Except for the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status,clinical characteristics were comparable between the two groups.With a median follow-up of 82 (range,1-129) months,the 5-year overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) rates were 51.9% and 45.8%,respectively.The 5-year OS rates for patients aged 61 to 69 years and those over 70 years were 58.3% and 42.8%(P =0.007),respectively,and the 5-year PFS rates were 51.0% and 38.6%(P =0.034).Treatment regimens including rituximab provided a higher 5-year OS rate (63.1% vs.37.1%,P < 0.001) and PFS rate (56.6% vs.31.8%,P < 0.001) than chemotherapy alone.For patients aged 61 to 69 years,chemotherapy plus rituximab resulted in a higher 5-year OS rate (66.7% vs.46.4%,P =0.002) and PFS rate (60.0% vs.38.1%,P =0.002) than chemotherapy alone.For patients aged ≥70 years,there was a marked survival advantage in patients who received chemotherapy plus rituximab (5-year OS rate:57.7% vs.25.4%,P < 0.001;5-year PFS rate:51.3% vs.23.9%,P < 0.001) compared with that seen in those who received chemotherapy alone.Multivariate analysis established that stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ disease,elevated lactate dehydrogenase (LDH),initial treatment,and chemotherapy with rituximab were independent risk factors for 5-year OS,and stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ disease,elevated LDH,and chemotherapy with rituximab were independent risk factors for 5-year PFS for elderly patients with DLBCL.Conclusions:In comparison to patients aged 61 to 69 years,those aged ≥70 years have poorer survival.Prolonged survival is obtainable with rituximab,cyclophosphamide,doxorubicin,vincristine,and prednisone (R-CHOP)-like in elderly Chinese patients in all age groups,indicating that the R-CHOP-like regimen should be considered for this population,even for those aged 70 years or older.Peng Liu Ying Han Shi-Yu Jiang Xiao-Hui He Yan Qin Lin Gui Sheng-Yu Zhou Li-Qiang Zhou Jian-Liang Yang Sheng Yang Ting-Yu Wen Yuan-Kai Shi 2019Chinese Medical Journal2019,,15:5
19Autologous peripheral blood stem cell mobilization following dose-adjusted cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisolone chemotherapy alone or in combination with rituximab in treating high-risk non-Hodgkin's lymphoma显示文摘Background: The regimen of cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone(CHOP) is an eicient treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma(NHL). This study aimed to assess the eicacy and toxicity of dose-adjusted CHOP alone or in combination with rituximab(R-CHOP) by examining the stem cell mobilization in NHL patients. Factors afecting the collection of CD34+ cells were also explored.Methods: Our retrospective study included 39 patients eligible for autologous stem cell transplantation: 14 patients who expressed CD20 and were inancially eligible received R-CHOP for autologous peripheral blood stem cell(APBSC) mobilization; the remaining 25 patients received CHOP.Results: The median CD34+ cell yield was 7.01 × 106 cells/kg body weight(range 1.49–28.39 × 106 cells/kg body weight), with only two patients failing to meet the target CD34+ cell harvest of ber of apheresis procedures per patient was 1(range 1–3). The≥2.0 APBS× 106 cells/kg body weight. The median numC mobilization yield of the CHOP group appeared to be higher than that of the R-CHOP group(P response(CR) rate in = 0.005), whereas the success rate was similar between groups. R-CHOP elevated the completeB cell lymphoma patients as compared with CHOP(P = 0.01).
