| 1 | Epidemiological Characteristics of Plague in the Meriones unguiculatus Plague Focus--Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,China,1950−2019显示文摘From 1950 to 2019,a total of 267 plague cases in humans were reported in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region with 133 deaths and 10,710 Yersinia pestis isolates;21 of these cases were reported from the Meriones unguiculatus(M.unguiculatus)plague focus with 6 deaths and 6,771 isolates.According to the plague situation in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the implementation of local preventive measures,the prevalence of plague in humans in the M.unguiculatus plague focus of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region could be divided into four stages.The first stage was the initial stage of plague prevention and control(1950–1959),with 0.80 cases annually and a case fatality rate of 37.50%.The second stage was the plague eradication stage(1960–1979),with 0.15 cases annually and a case fatality rate of 33.33%.The third stage was the plague surveillance stage(1980-1999),with 0.25 cases annually and a case fatality rate of 20.00%.The fourth stage is the comprehensive prevention and control stage under the emergency system(2000-2019),with 0.25 cases annually and a case fatality rate of 20.00%.The surveillance of rodent density(1981-2019)and studies on plague-related factors among M.unguiculatus have shown that the higher the M.unguiculatus density,the higher the nocturnal rodent capture rate(r=0.670,p<0.05)and the higher the indirect hemagglutination assay(IHA)positive rate of M.unguiculatus(r=0.344,p<0.05);the higher the percentage of hosts infected,the lower the M.unguiculatus density(r=-0.361,p<0.05)and the lower the IHA positive rate of M.unguiculatus(r=-0.337,p<0.05);the higher the percentage of nests infected with fleas,the lower the IHA positive rate of M.unguiculatus(r=-0.348,p<0.05).Together,these results suggest that it is necessary to simultaneously monitor the pathogens,serology,and vector index of M.unguiculatus to accurately reflect the plague prevalence among local animals.Although bubonic plague is the main plague type of the M.unguiculatus plague focus,severe pneumonic plague or septic plague may be secondary when the bubonic plague is misdiagnosed or not treated in time.In addition,the plague in animals is relatively virulent in the M.unguiculatus plague focus,and the risk of spreading to humans is higher.For plague in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,comprehensive control efforts should be aimed at the M.unguiculatus focus,covering host animals,vector insects,and humans. | Boxi Liu Dayu Zhang Yuhuang Chen Zhaokai He Jun Liu Dongyue Lyu Weiwei Wu Ran Duan Shuai Qin Junrong Liang Huaiqi Jing Xin Wang | 2020 | China CDC weekly2020,2,49: | 3 |

| 3 | Knowledge Compilation Methods Based on the Clausal Relevance and Extension Rule显示文摘We introduce the concepts of Relevancematrix(RM) and Relevance-set(RS). And we construct the association between RM and the Knowledge compilation(KC) methods based on Extension rule(ER). Based on the basic parameters of RS and the relationship between RM and the KC methods based on ER, we design two efficient heuristics, called M2S(maximum sum of elements in RS and sum of literals in RS) and MNE(minimum number of maximum terms not extended by RS). Both of above heuristics intend to find the minimum set of maximum terms which cannot be extended by RS. Furthermore,we apply M2S and MNE on KCER. M2S KCER(KCER with M2S) and MNE KCER(KCER with MNE) are designed and implemented based on M2S and MNE, respectively. | 4 | Experimental Study on Structural Optimization of a Supercritical Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler with an Annular Furnace and Six Cyclones显示文摘Annular furnace CFBs with six cyclones represent new designs for large capacity CFB boilers over 660 MW. To investigate the gas-solid flow non-uniformity and its main influencing factors, an experimental study was carried out in the cold-test rig of an annular furnace CFB with six cyclones. The influence of furnace structure and cyclone arrangement on the non-uniformity of gas-solid flow was obtained. On the basis of these findings, the structure of the annular furnace CFB with six cyclones was optimized, and an optimal structure was obtained. The results show that for newly designed annular furnace CFBs, the non-uniformity of gas-solid flow among loops is no greater than that of traditional CFBs. In terms of uniformity, side cyclones rotating inward are superior to those rotating outward. The position of the side cyclones determines the basic solid circulating rate distribution trend and can dramatically improve flow non-uniformity. The middle cyclone positions and the symmetric modes of the cyclones do not determine the solid circulating rate distribution trend and have less effect on DEVGs. Forty-five degree chamfers of outer ring walls can reduce wall erosion and the non-uniformity of gas-solid flow in the circulating fluidized bed. Regarding the operating and structural conditions in this work, the optimal structure of annular furnace CFBs is Type 6: side cyclones rotating inward and b = a/2, d = 0.1c; the center of the middle cyclone inlet located at the centerline of the furnace cross-section; cyclones on the two sides of the furnace in an axisymmetric arrangement; and a furnace corner shape of 45° chamfers. | 5 | RECQL4 regulates DNA damage response and redox homeostasis in esophageal cancer显示文摘Objective:RECQL4(a member of the RECQ helicase family)upregulation has been reported to be associated with tumor progression in several malignancies.However,whether RECQL4 sustains esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)has not been elucidated.In this study,we determined the functional role for RECQL4 in ESCC progression.Methods:RECQL4 expression in clinical samples of ESCC was examined by immunohistochemistry.Cell proliferation,cellular senescence,the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT),DNA damage,and reactive oxygen species in ESCC cell lines with RECQL4 depletion or overexpression were analyzed.The levels of proteins involved in the DNA damage response(DDR),cell cycle progression,survival,and the EMT were determined by Western blot analyses.Results:RECQL4 was highly expressed in tumor tissues when compared to adjacent non-tumor tissues in ESCC(P<0.001)and positively correlated with poor differentiation(P=0.011),enhanced invasion(P=0.033),and metastasis(P=0.048).RECQL4 was positively associated with proliferation and migration in ESCC cells.Depletion of RECQL4 also inhibited growth of tumor xenografts in vivo.RECQL4 depletion induced G0/G1 phase arrest and cellular senescence.Importantly,the levels of DNA damage and reactive oxygen species were increased when RECQL4 was depleted.DDR,as measured by the activation of ATM,ATR,CHK1,and CHK2,was impaired.RECQL4 was also shown to promote the activation of AKT,ERK,and NF-k B in ESCC cells.Conclusions:The results indicated that RECQL4 was highly expressed in ESCC and played critical roles in the regulation of DDR,redox homeostasis,and cell survival. | Guosheng Lyu Peng Su Xiaohe Hao Shiming Chen Shuai Ren Zixiao Zhao Yaoqin Gong Qiao Liu Changshun Shao | 2021 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1: | 2 |
| 6 | Analysis of the correlation between the longitudinal trajectory of SOFA scores and prognosis in patients with sepsis at 72 hour after admission based on group trajectory modeling显示文摘Background:To identify the distinct trajectories of the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)scores at 72 h for patients with sepsis in the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care(MIMIC)-IV database and determine their effects on mortality and adverse clinical outcomes.Methods:A retrospective cohort study was carried out involving patients with sepsis from the MIMIC-IV database.Group-based trajectory modeling(GBTM)was used to identify the distinct trajectory groups for the SOFA scores in patients with sepsis in the intensive care unit(ICU).The Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to investigate the relationship between the longitudinal change trajectory of the SOFA score and mortality and adverse clinical outcomes.Results:A total of 16,743 patients with sepsis were included in the cohort.The median survival age was 66 years(interquartile range:54-76 years).The 7-day and 28-day in-hospital mortality were 6.0%and 17.6%,respectively.Five different trajectories of SOFA scores according to the model fitting standard were determined:group 1(32.8%),group 2(30.0%),group 3(17.6%),group 4(14.0%)and group 5(5.7%).Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses showed that,for different clinical outcomes,trajectory group 1 was used as the reference,while trajectory groups 2-5 were all risk factors associated with the outcome(P<0.001).Subgroup analysis revealed an interaction between the two covariates of age and mechanical ventilation and the different trajectory groups of patients’SOFA scores(P<0.05).Conclusion:This approach may help identify various groups of patients with sepsis,who may be at different levels of risk for adverse health outcomes,and provide subgroups with clinical importance. | Rui Yang Didi Han Luming Zhang Tao Huang Fengshuo Xu Shuai Zheng Haiyan Yin Jun Lyu | 2022 | Journal of Intensive Medicine2022,2,1: | 1 |

| 9 | Hydrodynamics in a Circulating Fluidized Bed with Annular Furnace and Six Parallel Cyclones显示文摘Systematic measurements were conducted on a cold CFB with annular furnace and six parallel cyclones to study gas-solids flow in the annular furnace and flow non-uniformity among six cyclones. The results show that axial solids holdup in the annular furnace decreases exponentially with height, similar to the conventional rectangular furnace. The uniform transverse distribution of solids holdup suggests a good gas-solids mixing in the annular furnace. The annular furnace presents the core/double-annulus flow structure, and it results in enhanced gas-solids back-mixing than the conventional core/annulus flow structure. The gas-solids flow of the inner wall-layer and the outer wall-layer is very close at most part of the furnace height, and the wall-layer thickness decreases with height. Flow non-uniformity exists among six parallel cyclones in the annular furnace CFB. But non-uniform distribution of solids circulating rates and cyclone pressure drops show no regularity, and the flow non-uniformity is no larger than the CFBs with conventional furnace. | 15 | Relationship Between Climate Change and Marmot Plague of Marmota himalayana Plague Focus—the Altun Mountains of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau,China,2000–2022显示文摘Introduction:Plague is a zoonotic disease that occurs naturally in specific geographic areas.Climate change can influence the populations of the plague host or vector,leading to variations in the occurrence and epidemiology of plague in animals.Methods:In this study,we collected meteorological and plague epidemiological data from the Marmota himalayana plague focus in the Altun Mountains of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau.The data spanned from 2000 to 2022.We describe the climatic factors and plague epidemic conditions and we describe their analysis by Pearson’s correlation.Results:During the period from 2000 to 2022,the isolation rates of Yersinia pestis(Y.pestis)from marmots and fleas were 9.27%(451/4,864)and 7.17%(118/1,646),respectively.Additionally,we observed a positive rate of F1 antibody of 11.25%(443/3,937)in marmots and 18.16%(142/782)in dogs.With regards to climate,there was little variation,and a decreasing trend in blowing-sand days was observed.The temperature in the previous year showed a negative correlation with the Y.pestis isolation rate in marmots(r=−0.555,P=0.011)and the positive rate of F1 antibody in marmots(r=−0.552,P=0.012)in the current year.The average annual precipitation in the previous two years showed a positive correlation with marmot density(r=0.514,P=0.024),while blowingsand days showed a negative correlation with marmot density(r=−0.701,P=0.001).Furthermore,the average annual precipitation in the previous three years showed a positive correlation with the isolation rate of Y.pestis from marmots(r=0.666,P=0.003),and blowing-sand days showed a negative correlation with marmot density(r=−0.597,P=0.009).Conclusions:The findings of this study indicate that there is a hysteresis effect of climate change on the prevalence of plague.Therefore,monitoring climate conditions can offer significant insights for implementing timely preventive and control measures to combat plague epidemics. | Qun Duan Xiaojin Zheng Zhiqiang Gan Dongyue Lyu Hanyu Sha Xinmin Lu Xiaoling Zhao Asaiti Bukai Ran Duan Shuai Qin Li Wang Jinxiao Xi Di Wu Peng Zhang Deming Tang Zhaokai He Huaiqi Jing Biao Kan Xin Wang | 2024 | China CDC weekly2024,6,4: | 0 |
