2Magnetic records of heavy metal pollution in urban topsoil in Lanzhou,China显示文摘This study is a systematic analysis of the magnetic characteristics and heavy metal elements in soil samples collected from Lanzhou City,China.The 117 surface soil samples were measured to study the feasibility and effectiveness of environmental magnetism for evaluating heavy metal pollution in urban soils.Results of the study indicate that low-coercivity magnetite dominates the magnetic properties in the samples.The high values of the soil magnetic mineral concentration parameters and low values of magnetic particle size parameters are distributed throughout the northern area of Xigu District,the industrial zones of the eastern section of Chengguan District and the districts of the narrow sections connecting Chengguan District and the other three districts;these parameters are fundamentally consistent with the distribution of the high values of the Pollution Load Index and Nemerow Pollution Index.Semi-quantitative studies which use the environmental magnetic method to monitor pollution of heavy metals(such as As,Cr,Cu,Ni,Pb,Zn,and Fe) have shown that when xlf≤35×10-8 m 3 kg-1,it is unpolluted;when 35≤xlf <150×10-8 m3 kg-1,it is moderately polluted to unpolluted;when 150≤xlf <365×10-8 m 3 kg-1,it is moderately polluted;when 365≤xlf <750×10-8 m3 kg-1,fd %<2.7 and ARM /SIRM<0.2×10-3m A-1,it is moderately to highly polluted;when xlf ≥750×10-8 m3 kg-1,xfd %<2.7 and xARM/SIRM<0.2×10-3m A-1,it is highly polluted.The region of moderately to highly polluted distribution is caused by industry and vehicles,showing that the change of pollution in Lanzhou City bears the trend of 'vehicle emission + industrial'.WANG Bo XIA DunSheng YU Ye JIA Jia XU ShuJing 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,3:19
3MdGSTF6,activated by MdMYB1,plays an essential role in anthocyanin accumulation in apple显示文摘Anthocyanins are biosynthesized on the cytosolic surface of the endoplasmic reticulum and then transported into the vacuole for storage.Glutathione S-transferases(GSTs)are considered to be responsible for the transport of anthocyanins into the vacuole.However,the regulatory mechanisms of GSTs in plants are still unclear.Here,we performed a genome-wide analysis and identified 69 GST genes in apple.The expression of MdGSTF6 was positively correlated with the anthocyanin content(r=0.949)during‘Yanfu 8’fruit development.The overexpression of MdGSTF6 in the Arabidopsis thaliana tt19 mutant resulted in seedlings of 35S::MdGSTF6-GFP/tt19 that could accumulate anthocyanin and rescue its phenotype,suggesting that MdGSTF6 was an anthocyanin transporter.The silencing of MdGSTF6 affected anthocyanin accumulation in apple fruit.Moreover,the knockdown of MdGSTF6 by RNA interference in cultured‘Gala’seedlings inhibited anthocyanin accumulation.The interaction experiments showed that MdMYB1 could bind directly to the MdGSTF6 promoter to transcriptionally activate its expression.Collectively,our results demonstrate that MdGSTF6 encodes an important GST transporter of anthocyanins in apple fruit and provide evidence for the associated regulatory mechanisms.Therefore,MdMYB1 can not only regulate anthocyanin synthesis,but also control the transport of anthocyanin in apples.This information may be useful for further clarifying the regulation of anthocyanin transport in apple.Shenghui Jiang Min Chen Naibo He Xiaoliu Chen Nan Wang Qingguo Sun Tianliang Zhang Haifeng Xu Hongcheng Fang Yicheng Wang Zongying Zhang Shujing Wu Xuesen Chen 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:16
4Multi-channel micro neural probe fabricated with SOI显示文摘Silicon-on-insulator(SOI) substrate is widely used in micro-electro-mechanical systems(MEMS).With the buried oxide layer of SOI acting as an etching stop,silicon based micro neural probe can be fabri-cated with improved uniformity and manufacturability.A seven-record-site neural probe was formed by inductive-coupled plasma(ICP) dry etching of an SOI substrate.The thickness of the probe is 15 μm.The shaft of the probe has dimensions of 3 mm×100 μm×15 μm with typical area of the record site of 78.5 μm2.The impedance of the record site was measured in-vitro.The typical impedance characteris-tics of the record sites are around 2 MΩ at 1 kHz.The performance of the neural probe in-vivo was tested on anesthetic rat.The recorded neural spike was typically around 140 μV.Spike from individual site could exceed 700 μV.The average signal noise ratio was 7 or more.PEI WeiHua ZHU Lin WANG ShuJing GUO Kai TANG Jun ZHANG Xu LU Lin GAO ShangKai CHEN HongDa 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,5:6
5Spatial-temporal Variation of Extreme Precipitation Events in Northwest China During 1961-2010显示文摘Using the daily precipitation data of 118 meteorological stations in Northwest China from January 1,1961 to December 31,2010,we analyzed extreme precipitation events from prime precipitation data by applying R-language Climate Index( RClimDex).The spatial-temporal change characteristics in the past 50 years have been examined using the method of trend analysis,Mann-Kendall and the spatial analysis module of Arcgis9.2.The results show that the spatial distribution of the indices for extreme precipitation in Northwest China is greatly influenced by geographic location,atmospheric circulation and topography,and the spatial difference of extreme precipitation events is very evident,while the indices reduce from the southeast to the northwest except Consecutive Dry Days( CDD).In Xinjiang region,high values appear in Tianshan Mountains and decrease towards the south and north respectively.In the past 50 years,the temporal variation tendency of the indices for extreme precipitation in Northwest China has a great spatial distinction.It shows that the variation tendency is opposite between the east( decrease) and the west( increase),and CDD has a decreasing tendency while other indices increase.For each region,it is found that the indices for extreme precipitation in Xinjiang and Qinghai Province shows an increasing trend,and it is remarkable in Tianshan Mountains,the north of Xinjiang and the northeast of Qinghai Province.The temporal variation tendency of the indices for extreme precipitation in Ningxia,Shaanxi and Gansu has a large spatial distinction.The stations which have an increasing tend are mainly found in the north of Ningxia,south of Shaanxi and Hexi Corridor of Gansu.However,the south of Ningxia,north of Shaanxi and Longnan of Gansu Province mainly present a decreasing trend.The temporal variation tendency of the indices for extreme precipitation in Inner Mongolia is not obvious.Overall,the east part of Northwest China has a dry tendency,while the west part has an opposite trend.Lian Lishu Xu Shujing Li Zhifu Sun Xiaoyin 2014Meteorological and Environmental Research2014,5,1:5

8SLIDE, the Protein Interacting Domain of Imitation Switch Remodelers, Binds DDT-Domain Proteins of Different Subfamilies in Chromatin Remodeling Complexes显示文摘The Imitation Switch(ISWI)type adenosine triphosphate(ATP)-dependent chromatin remodeling factors are conserved proteins in eukaryotes,and some of them are known to form stable remodeling complexes with members from a family of proteins,termed DDT domain proteins.Although it is well documented that ISWIs play important roles in different biological processes in many eukaryotic species,the molecular basis for protein interactions in ISWI complexes has not been fully addressed.Here,we report the identi cation of interaction domains for both ISWI and DDT domain proteins.By analyzing CHROMATIN REMODELING11(CHR11)and RINGLET1(RLT1),an Arabidopsis thaliana ISWI(AtISWI)and AtDDT domain protein,respectively,we show that the SLIDE domain of CHR11 and the DDT domain together with an adjacent sequence of RLT1 are responsible for their binding.The Arabidopsis genome contains at least 12genes that encode DDT domain proteins,which could be grouped into ve subfamilies based on the sequence similarity.The SLIDE domain of AtISWI is able to bind members from different AtDDT subfamilies.Moreover,a human ISWI protein SNF2H is capable of binding AtDDT domain proteins through its SLIDE domain,suggesting that binding to DDT domain proteins is a conserved biochemical function for the SLIDE domain of ISWIs in eukaryotes.Jiaqiang Dong Zheng Gao Shujing Liu Guang Li Zhongnan Yang Hai Huang Lin Xu 2013Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2013,55,10:4

13Development of potent promoters that drive the efficient expression of genes in apple protoplasts显示文摘Protoplast transient expression is a powerful strategy for gene functional characterization,especially in biochemical mechanism studies.We herein developed a highly efficient transient expression system for apple protoplasts.The abilities of the Arabidopsis thaliana and Malus domestica ubiquitin-10(AtUBQ10 and MdUBQ10)promoters to drive the expression of multiple genes were compared with that of the CaMV 35S promoter,and the results revealed that the AtUBQ10 and MdUBQ10 promoters were more efficient in apple protoplasts.With this system,we demonstrated that active AtMKK7ac could activate MAPK6/3/4 signaling cascades,which further regulated MdWRKY33 phosphorylation and stability in apple.Furthermore,the ligand-induced interaction between the immune receptor AtFLS2 and the coreceptor AtBAK1 was reconstituted in apple protoplasts.We also found that the stability of the bacterial effector AvrRpt2 was regulated by feedback involving auxin and the immune regulator RIN4.The system established herein will serve as a useful tool for the molecular and biochemical analyses of apple genes.Xianpu Wang Lili Xu Xiuxia Liu Li Xin Shujing Wu Xuesen Chen 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2
14Inhibitory effect of Sumu(Lignum Sappan) plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata) on a lung carcinoma model显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the inhibitory effect of Sumu(Lignum Sappan) plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata)(SF) on the growth and metastasis of Lewis lung carcinoma.METHODS: A lung carcinoma model was established by subcutaneously inoculating Lewis lung carcinoma cells into C57 BL/6 mice. The mice were randomly divided into four groups of 13 mice(control, low-dose, moderate-dose, and high-dose), and gavaged once-daily for 21 consecutive days. The rates of tumor inhibition, metastasis, and metastasis inhibition were observed. The differential expressions of s P-selectin and vascular endothelial growth factor C(VEGFC) were compared between the treatment groups and the control group.RESULTS: The tumor weights differed significantly between the treatment groups and the control group(P < 0.05). 15Solution-processable precursor route for fabricating ultrathin silica film for high performance and low voltage organic transistors显示文摘Silica is one of the most commonly used materials for dielectric layer in organic thin-film transistors due to its excellent stability, excellent electrical properties, mature preparation process, and good compatibility with organic semiconductors. However, most of conventional preparation methods for silica film are generally performed at high temperature and/or high vacuum. In this paper, we introduce a simple solution spin-coating method to fabricate silica thin film from precursor route, which possesses a low leakage current, high capacitance, and low surface roughness. The silica thin film can be produced in the condition of low temperature and atmospheric environment. To meet various demands, the thickness of film can be adjusted by means of preparation conditions such as the speed of spin-coating and the concentration of solution. The p-type and n-type organic field effect transistors fabricated by using this film as gate electrodes exhibit excellent electrical performance including low voltage and high performance. 16Chinese emotional words in patients with major depressive disorder during a subliminal Stroop task An event-related potential study显示文摘Patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) develop a negative cognitive bias, but how they respond to information in Chinese emotional words is unclear. Here we used a Stroop paradigm with subliminal Chinese emotional words to explore the event-related potential components of abnormal emotional processing in patients with MDD. The correct rate was similar in MDD and normal control groups, but MDD reaction time was longer than the normal controls, especially to the negative and neutral stimuli. In N270, repeated-measure analysis of variance demonstrated a significant main effect of the relation electrode and valence on peak amplitude and interactions between valence and electrode site. The peak amplitudes of the three kinds of words were different in the two groups (positive > negative > neutral). The topography of the difference waves indicated that the difference distributed in the frontal and left parietal-temporal sites across the scalp. In N400, there was a significant main effect of the relation electrode and valence on peak amplitude, and the latency showed a main effect of the electrode and an interaction between electrode and group. The amplitudes induced by type of words were significantly different from each other in both groups (positive > negative > neutral). The topography of the difference waves indicated that the effect of relation type was primarily at left and right frontal and central and left parietal-temporal regions. Both MDD patients and normal controls exhibited significant emotional Stroop effects during the processing of positive/negative Chinese emotional words.
