1Recent research and developments on wrought magnesium alloys显示文摘Wrought magnesium alloys attract special interests as lightweight structural material due to their homogeneous microstructure and enhanced mechanical properties compared to as-cast alloys.In this contribution,recent research and developments on wrought magnesium alloys are reviewed from the viewpoint of the alloy design,focusing on Mg-Al,Mg-Zn and Mg-rare earth(RE)systems.The effects of different alloying elements on the microstructure and mechanical properties are described considering their strengthening mechanisms,e.g.grain refinement,precipitation and texture hardening effect.Finally,the new alloy design and also the future research of wrought magnesium alloys to improve their mechanical properties are discussed.Sihang You Yuanding Huang Karl Ulrich Kainer Norbert Hort 2017Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2017,5,3:43
2Simultaneous removal of Cd(II)and As(III)from co-contaminated aqueous solution byα-FeOOH modified biochar显示文摘A novelα-FeOOH modified wheat straw biochar(α-FeOOH@BC)was developed and the findings of the current study showed thatα-FeOOH@BC is an efficient material for the simultaneous removal of cations(Cd(II))and anions(As(III))from aqueous solutions.The SEM,FTIR,and XRD analysis proved thatα-FeOOH@BC was covered byα-FeOOH.In the single adsorption system,the maximum adsorption capacities ofα-FeOOH@BC for Cd(II)and As(III)were 62.9 and 78.3 mg/g,respectively.In the dual adsorption system,the maximum adsorption capacities ofα-FeOOH@BC for Cd(II)and As(III)dropped to 39.3 and 67.2 mg/g,respectively.The adsorption capacities of Cd(II)and As(III)byα-FeOOH@BC were much higher by BC andα-FeOOH both in single and dual adsorbate system.The adsorption results were well fitted by the Langmuir and pseudo-second-order kinetics models.The Cd(II)and As(III)co-adsorption onα-FeOOH@BC had a competitive effect,and the dominant adsorption mechanisms were co-precipitation and ion exchange.Our study showed thatα-FeOOH@BC could be an effective remediation material for Cd(II)and As(III)co-adsorption from aqueous environment.Sihang Zhu Ting Qu Muhammad Kashif Irshad Jianying Shang 2020Biochar2020,2,1:7
3Characterizing the spatial and temporal variation of the land surface temperature hotspots in Wuhan from a local scale显示文摘Land Surface Temperature(LST)derived from space-borne Thermal-infrared(TIR)sensors is a key parameter of urban climate studies.Current studies are inefficient to capture the spatial and temporal variations of LST for only one snapshot adopted at one time.Focusing on the characterization of the spatial and temporal of LST variations at local scales,the latent patterns,and morphological characteristics are extracted in this study.Technically,sixteen MODerate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)eight-day synthesized LST products(MYD11A2)in 2002,2007,2012,and 2017 are employed.First,the non-parametric Multi-Task Gaussian Process Model(MTGP)is used to extract the smooth and continuous Latent LST(LLST)patterns using one LST subset and its temporally adjacent images.Second,the Multi-Scale Shape Index(MSSI)is then applied to quantify the morphological characteristics at the optimal scale.Then,the LLST patterns and MSSI maps are clustered into multiple spatial categories.The specific clusters with the highest LLST and MSSI values are considered as local LLST hotspots.The Hotspots Weighted Mean Center(HSWMC)and standard deviation ellipse are adopted to further investigate the spatiotemporal change of hotspots orientation,direction,and trajectories.Results revealed that Impervious Surfaces(IS)composition is the most significant external forcing of local LST anomalies.The configuration factors(e.g.,shape index,aggregation index)also have a noticeable local warming effect.This study represents a latent pattern and morphology-based framework for LST hotspots spatial and temporal variations characterization,catering to the zoning and grading strategies in urban planning.Chen Yang Qingming Zhan Sihang Gao Huimin Liu 2020Geo-Spatial Information Science2020,23,4:4
4The combined therapeutic effects of ^(131)iodinelabeled multifunctional copper sulfide-loaded microspheres in treating breast cancer显示文摘Compared to conventional cancer treatment, combination therapy based on well-designed nanoscale platforms may offer an opportunity to eliminate tumors and reduce recurrence and metastasis.In this study, we prepared multifunctional microspheres loading ^(131)I-labeled hollow copper sulfide nanoparticles and paclitaxel( ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX) for imaging and therapeutics of W256/B breast tumors in rats.18 F-fluordeoxyglucose(18 F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT) imaging detected that the expansion of the tumor volume was delayed(Po0.05) following intra-tumoral(i.t.) injection with ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX plus near-infrared(NIR) irradiation. The immunohistochemical analysis further confirmed the anti-tumor effect. The single photon emission computed tomography(SPECT)/photoacoustic imaging mediated by ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX demonstrated that microspheres were mainly distributed in the tumors with a relatively low distribution in other organs. Our results revealed that ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX offered combined photothermal, chemo-and radio-therapies, eliminating tumors at a relatively low dose, as well as allowing SPECT/CT and photoacoustic imaging monitoring of distribution of the injected agents non-invasively. 6Unexpected formation of hydrides in heavy rare earth containing magnesium alloys显示文摘Mg–RE(Dy,Gd,Y)alloys show promising for being developed as biodegradable medical applications.It is found that the hydride REH_(2) could be formed on the surface of samples during their preparations with water cleaning.The amount of formed hydrides in Mg–RE alloys is affected by the content of RE and heat treatments.It increases with the increment of RE content.On the surface of the alloy with T4 treatment the amount of formed hydride REH_(2) is higher.In contrast,the amount of REH2 is lower on the surfaces of as-cast and T6-treated alloys.Their formation mechanism is attributed to the surface reaction of Mg–RE alloys with water.The part of RE in solid solution in Mg matrix plays an important role in influencing the formation of hydrides.Yuanding Huang Lei Yang Sihang You Weimin Gan Karl Ulrich Kainer Norbert Hort 2016Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2016,4,3:3

8Extraction of lithium from the simulated pyrometallurgical slag of spent lithium-ion batteries by binary eutectic molten carbonates显示文摘The effective and low-temperature extraction of lithium from the pyrometallurgical slag of spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)remains a great challenge.Herein,potassium carbonate/sodium carbonate(K_(2)CO_(3)/Na_(2)CO_(3)),which could form a eutectic molten salt system at 720℃,was used as a roasting agent to extract lithium from pyrometallurgical slag.Lithium was successfully extracted from the slag by K_(2)CO_(3)/Na_(2)CO_(3) roasting followed by water leaching.Theoretical calculation results indicate that the lengths of Li-O bonds increase after K^(+)/Na^(+)adsorption,resulting in the easy release of Li^(+)from the LiAlSi_(2)O_(6) lattice after roasting with K_(2)CO_(3)/Na_(2)CO_(3).Thermogravimetry-differential scanning calorimetry results indicate that the eutectic phenomenon of K_(2)CO_(3) and Na_(2)CO_(3) could be observed at 720℃ and that the reaction of the slag and eutectic molten salts occurs at temperatures above 720℃.X-ray diffraction results suggest that Li^(+)in the slag is exchanged by K^(+)in K_(2)CO_(3) with the concurrent formation of KAlSiO_(4),while Na_(2)CO_(3) mainly functions as a fluxing agent.The lithium extraction efficiency can reach 93.87%under the optimal conditions of a roasting temperature of 740℃,roasting time of 30 min,leaching temperature of 50℃,leaching time of 40 min,and water/roasted sample mass ratio of 10:1.This work provides a new system for extracting lithium from the pyrometallurgical slag of spent LIBs.Hui Dang Zhidong Chang Hualei Zhou Sihang Ma Min Li Jialing Xiang 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,9:2
9A quasi-3D Fano resonance cavity on optical fiber end-facet for high signal-to-noise ratio dip-and-read surface plasmon sensing显示文摘Surface plasmon devices mounted at the end-facets of optical fibers are appealing candidates for rapid and point-of-care sensing applications,by offering a special dip-and-read operation mode.At present,these devices’noise-equivalent limits-of-detection lag far behind the free-space counterparts,leaving them incapable of most biosensing applications.Here we report a quasi-3D Fano resonance cavity and its fabrication method to fundamentally improve the quality factor and coupling efficiency for fiber-coupled surface plasmon resonance.In this device,the Fano resonance combines the high coupling efficiency of a Fabry-Pérot etalon and the high quality factor resonance of a plasmonic crystal cavity.The quasi-3D device was fabricated on a planar substrate and transferred to a single-mode fiber end-facet,which requires a low-adhesion yet surface-plasmon-tunneling interface between the device and the planar substrate.Such an interface was realized with a nanocap-slit unit structure,of which the plasmonic crystal was consisted.A noise-equivalent limit of detection of~10-7 RIU was experimentally obtained,allowing bovine serum albumin physical adsorption to be distinguished at ng mL-1 level concentrations.Therefore,breaking through the long-standing signal-to-noise ratio bottleneck,this work makes fiber end-facet surface plasmon devices into one of high sensitivity label-free sensing technologies.At the same time,it provides an enabling top-down fabrication technology for making 3D plasmonic structures on fiber end-facets at the nanometer scale.Xiaqing Sun Zeyu Lei Hao Zhong Chenjia He Sihang Liu Qingfeng Meng Qingwei Liu Shengfu Chen Xiangyang Kong Tian Yang 2022Light(Advanced Manufacturing)2022,3,4:2
10Treating Alzheimer's disease with Yizhijiannao granules by regulating expression of multiple proteins in temporal lobe显示文摘Yizhijiannao granules have been shown to improve cognitive function in Alzheimer's disease patients. The present study sought to explore the mechanisms involved in the cognitive enhancing effects of Yizhijiannao granule. Senescence-accelerated mouse prone 8 mice with learning and memory disorders were intragastrically treated with Yizhijiannao granule for 8 weeks. Mice intragastrically treated with double distilled water for 8 weeks were considered as the control group. 2D gel electrophoresis was used to isolate total protein from the temporal lobe of senescence-accelerated mouse prone 8 mice, and differential protein spots were obtained by mass spectrometry. Thirty-seven differential protein spots were found in the temporal lobe area of both groups. Ten protein spots were identified: high mobility group box 1, dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase-1, neuroglobin, hemoglobin beta adult major chain, peroxiredoxin-6, cofilin-1, flotillin 1, peptidylprolyl isomerase A, voltage-dependent anion channel-2 and chaperonin containing TCP1, and subunit 2. Among other functions, these proteins are separately involved in the regulation of amyloid beta production, oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, regulation of tau phosphorylation, and regulation of neuronal apoptosis. 13An internal-external optimized convolutional neural network for arbitrary orientated object detection from optical remote sensing images显示文摘Due to the bird’s eye view of remote sensing sensors,the orientational information of an object is a key factor that has to be considered in object detection.To obtain rotating bounding boxes,existing studies either rely on rotated anchoring schemes or adding complex rotating ROI transfer layers,leading to increased computational demand and reduced detection speeds.In this study,we propose a novel internal-external optimized convolutional neural network for arbitrary orientated object detection in optical remote sensing images.For the internal opti-mization,we designed an anchor-based single-shot head detector that adopts the concept of coarse-to-fine detection for two-stage object detection networks.The refined rotating anchors are generated from the coarse detection head module and fed into the refining detection head module with a link of an embedded deformable convolutional layer.For the external optimiza-tion,we propose an IOU balanced loss that addresses the regression challenges related to arbitrary orientated bounding boxes.Experimental results on the DOTA and HRSC2016 bench-mark datasets show that our proposed method outperforms selected methods.Sihang Zhang Zhenfeng Shao Xiao Huang Linze Bai Jiaming Wang 2021Geo-Spatial Information Science2021,24,4:1

15Exploring the initial oxidation of Pt,Pt_(3)Ni,Pt_(3)Au(111)surfaces:a genetic algorithm based global optimization with density functional theory显示文摘Noble metal alloys are one of the most commonly used heterogeneous catalysts.During many reactions,the surface composition and oxidation states of the noble metal alloy particles have been reported to be dynamic.This paper describes a density functional theory study to explore the initial oxidation stages of the Ptbased surfaces,which are widely-used catalysts in various clean energy conversion processes.By applying a genetic algorithm based global optimization,we identified new surface phases at relatively high O coverages,1 ML and 3/2 ML,on Pt and Pt alloy(111)surfaces.The existence of O transforms the metallic surfaces,creating oxide skins with different morphology and composition.Metals with higher reducibility are pulled out to the outmost surface,to bind with O atoms.The lattice constant affects the binding strength of O atoms over certain oxide skins.Moreover,the strain effect plays a crucial role in the formation of oxide overlayers.Sihang Liu Jie Zong Zhi-Jian Zhao Jinlong Gong 2020Green Chemical Engineering2020,1,1:1

18Influence of contact layer on the sulphur corrosion of copper conductors in power transformers显示文摘Owing to the corrosive sulphides in the mineral insulating oil such as dibenzyl disul-phide(DBDS),copper windings in oil‐immersed transformers may suffer sulphur corrosion.This study investigates the influence of different contact conditions on the corrosion of copper conductors in transformers.Oil‐immersed accelerated corrosion experiment was conducted on copper conductors with various contact materials and different layers of insulating paper.The surface micromorphology,deposition compo-nent and the potentiodynamic polarization characteristics of copper conductors were explored.The results show that copper with different contact materials suffer sulphur corrosion;conversely,bare copper rarely does.It was also verified that the existence of a particular gap between copper and contact layer is a significant factor in sulphur corrosion by the formation of a concentration cell on the copper surface.The insu-lating paper wrapped around copper conductors does not increase the corrosion ten-dency of copper;however,it contributes to the formation of a region concentrated with DBDS,Cu^(2+),H^(+)by adsorption and impediment,which plays a key role in facilitating the sulphur corrosion of copper conductors.Moreover,sulphur corrosion can also occur on other metal parts in transformers when there is a particular gap on surfaces other than copper.Lijun Yang Dong Ding Yuan Yuan Sihang Gao Yuncai Lu 2022High Voltage2022,7,1:1
19Implementation technology of Kirchhoff demigration显示文摘Demigration refers to directly applying a specific imaging technique to a migrated section. It is applied primarily to seismic data mapping. In a previous research study,a time-efficient implementation technology of demigration was expounded. In the present study,the Fast Marching Method( FMM) used for traveltime computation in the isochrone-stack demigration,is developed. Furthermore,other key techniques( such as selection of aperture and antialiasing filtering factor) are analyzed in detail. Besides,the detail implementation method and program flow are given,which is shown their good computational efficiency and high-quality demigration effect. This implementation technique is illustrated with both the V( z) model and Marmousi model. 20Agent-based modeling of emergency evacuation in a railway station square under sarin terrorist attack显示文摘Evacuation modeling is a promising measure to support decision making in scenarios such as flooding,explosion,terrorist attack and other emergency incidents.Given the special attention to the terrorist attack,we build up an agent-based evacuation model in a railway station square under sarin terrorist attack to analyze such incident.Sarin dispersion process is described by Gaussian puff model.Due to sarin’s special properties of being colorless and odorless,we focus more on the modeling of agents’perceiving and reasoning process and use a Belief,Desire,Intention(BDI)architecture to solve the problem.Another contribution of our work is that we put forward a path planning algorithm which not only take distance but also comfort and threat factors into consideration.A series of simulation experiments demonstrate the ability of the proposed model and examine some crucial factors in sarin terrorist attack evacuation.Though far from perfect,the proposed model could serve to support decision making.Liang Ma Bin Chen Sihang Qiu Zhen Li Xiaogang Qiu 2017International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing2017,8,2:1
