| 1 | Ultra-broadband on-chip twisted light emitter for optical communications显示文摘On-chip twisted light emitters are essential components of orbital angular momentum(OAM)communication devices1,2.These devices address the growing demand for high-capacity communication systems by providing an additional degree of freedom for wavelength/frequency division multiplexing(WDM/FDM).Although whispering-gallery-mode-enabled OAM emitters have been shown to possess some advantages3–5,such as compactness and phase accuracy,their inherent narrow bandwidths prevent them from being compatible with WDM/FDM techniques.Here,we demonstrate an ultra-broadband multiplexed OAM emitter that utilizes a novel joint path-resonance phase control concept.The emitter has a micron-sized radius and nanometer-sized features.Coaxial OAM beams are emitted across the entire telecommunication band from 1,450 to 1,650 nm.We applied the emitter to an OAM communication with a data rate of 1.2 Tbit/s assisted by 30-channel optical frequency combs(OFCs).The emitter provides a new solution to further increase capacity in the OFC communication scenario. | Zhenwei Xie Ting Lei Fan Li Haodong Qiu Zecen Zhang Hong Wang Changjun Min Luping Du Zhaohui Li Xiaocong Yuan | 2018 | Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1: | 7 |

| 9 | Effects of site conditions on growth and wood properties of Populus×euramericana cv.'74/76'显示文摘The growth and wood properties of 240 individual Populus×euramericana cv.’74/76’(hereafter poplar 107)trees planted in Hebei Plain,China was evaluated.Mean annual increments in height,breast height diameter and volume,as well as cellulose,hemicellulose and lignin contents,shrinkage,density,bending strength and modulus of elasticity in the heart wood and sap wood.Environmental factors influencing growth and wood properties were analyzed using correlation and stepwise regres sion.The results show that the coefficients of variation(CVs)of growth traits ranged from 10.6 to 22.4%.The CVs of the chemical properties of heartwood ranged from 4.3 to 30.2%,and for sap wood from 3.2 to 27.5%.The CVs of the physical and mechanical properties of heartwood ranged from 8.6 to 31.7%,and for sapwood from 6.4 to 29.9%.The results of one-way ANOVA showed that there were significant differences in growth traits and wood properties among sites.Soil pH,total and available phosphorus,total potassium,and soil organic matter were key soil factors affecting growth and wood properties of poplar 107,whereas mean annual ground temperatures and precipitation were the main climatic factors.To better cultivate poplar 107,area with less annual rainfall,slightly higher temperature and soil pH value close to neutral should be selected. | Jianmin Fan Changjun Ding Shijie Wang Changming Ma Chao Zhang Yongtan Li Jinmao Wang Minsheng Yang Xiaohua Su | 2023 | Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,2: | 0 |

| 11 | Real-time Energy Management of Low-carbon Ship Microgrid Based on Data-driven Stochastic Model Predictive Control显示文摘With increasing restrictions on ship carbon emis-sions,it has become a trend for ships to use zero-carbon energy such as solar to replace traditional fossil energy.However,uncer-tainties of solar energy and load affect safe and stable operation of the ship microgrid.In order to deal with uncertainties and real-time requirements and promote application of ship zero-carbon energy,we propose a real-time energy management strategy based on data-driven stochastic model predictive control.First,we establish a ship photovoltaic and load scenario set consid-ering time-sequential correlation of prediction error through three steps.Three steps include probability prediction,equal probability inverse transformation scenario set generation,and simultaneous backward method scenario set reduction.Second,combined with scenario prediction information and rolling op-timization feedback correction,we propose a stochastic model predictive control energy management strategy.In each scenario,the proposed strategy has the lowest expected operational cost of control output.Then,we train the random forest machine learn-ing regression algorithm to carry out multivariable regression on samples generated by running the stochastic model predictive control.Finally,a low-carbon ship microgrid with photovoltaic is simulated.Simulation results demonstrate the proposed strategy can achieve both real-time application of the strategy,as well as operational cost and carbon emission optimization performance close to stochastic model predictive control.Index Terms-Data-driven stochastic model predictive control,low-carbon ship microgrid,machine learning,real-time energy management,time-sequential correlation. | Hui Hou Ming Gan Xixiu Wu Kun Xie Zeyang Fan Changjun Xie Ying Shi Liang Huang | 2023 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,4: | 0 |
| 12 | Effect of Tongxinluo on basic fibroblast growth factor mRNA after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘BACKGROUND: Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) can cause proliferation and differentiation of plentiful cells which are derived from mesoblast and neural ectoblast. Previous researches suggested that Tongxinluo could promote differentiation from neural stem cells (NSCs) to neurons and astrocytes after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of Tongxinluo on bFGF mRNA of rats after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury and analyze its dosage-dependence. DESIGN: Randomized controlled study. SETTING: Department of Neurology, Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University. MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out in Neurological Department of Nanfang Hospital affiliated to Southern Medical University from May 2005 to March 2006. A total of 192 healthy Wistar rats, weighing (200±20) g, of SPF grade, of both gender by half, were provided by Experimental Animal Center of Nanfang Hospital Affiliated to Southern Medical University. Tongxinluo was consisted of renshen, wugong, quanxie, shuizhi, chishao, bingpian, etc. and was provided by Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (batch number: 9906115). Main reagents: Agarose, DEPC-treated water, total RNA purification kit and one-step reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) kit were provided by Beijing Saibaisheng Gene Technique Co., Ltd. METHODS: All rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, including high-dosage Tongxinluo group, low-dosage Tongxinluo group, model group and sham operation group with 48 in each group. Rats in the former three groups were observed at 3, 5, 7, 14, 21 and 30 days after ischemia/reperfusion. In addition, rats in sham operation group were selected at the relevant time points. Every 8 rats were selected from each group for once. ① Right middle cerebral artery occlusion-reperfusion models were induced by Koizumi method and modified; moreover, neurological impairment was evaluated with Zealonga method. Except rats in sham operation group, rats in other three groups were involved in the final analysis, if scores of neurological impairment were higher than 2 at 6 hours after modeling. ② Administration: Rats in high-dosage Tongxinluo group were perfused with 150 g/L 1 g/(kg·d) Tongxinluo suspension; rats in low-dosage Tongxinluo group were perfused with 75 g/L 0.5 g/(kg·d) Tongxinluo suspension; rats in sham operation group and control group were perfused with the same volume of distilled water. Rats in each group were administrated at the wakeful time after reperfusion immediately. ③ Preparation of brain tissue: Rats were anesthetized at 3, 5, 7, 14, 21 and 30 days after perfusion to obtain their brains, separate brain tissue on ischemic site, extract total RNA, perform RT-PCR and semi-quantitative analysis and detect expression of bFGF mRNA at ischemic brain tissue. ④ Statistical analysis: Intensity at each time point was measured with analysis of variance and F test. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Changes of bFGF mRNA during proliferation and differentiation of NSCs in ischemic brain tissue at each time point after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. RESULTS: All 192 rats were involved in the final analysis. Expression of bFGF mRNA was hardly measured at focal side of rats in sham operation group. Otherwise, expression of bFGF mRNA was measured at various time points at ischemic side of rats in model group; moreover, the expression was the strongest on the 7th day, decreased on the 14th day and fallen down to the basic value on the 30th day. At 5, 7, 14, 21 and 30 days after modeling, expressions of bFGF mRNA at focal side were 0.86±0.04, 0.87±0.04; 0.88±0.02, 0.87±0.02; 0.79±0.02, 0.81±0.03; 0.52±0.04, 0.54±0.04; 0.46±0.03, 0.45±0.03 in high-dosage Tongxinluo group and low-dosage Tongxinluo group, respectively, which were stronger than those in model group (0.62±0.06, 0.63±0.05, 0.52±0.06, 0.43±0.06, 0.19±0.04, P < 0.05). Expression of bFGF mRNA at each time point was similar in high-dosage Tongxinluo group to that in low-dosage Tongxinluo group. In addition, expression of bFGF mRNA was the strongest at focal side in high-dosage Tongxinluo group and low-dosage Tongxinluo group on the 7th day after modeling; meanwhile, the expression was still stronger within 30 days after ischemia. | 13 | Dithizone-functionalized C18 online solid-phase extraction-HPLC-ICP-MS for speciation of ultra-trace organic and inorganic mercury in cereals and environmental samples显示文摘A simple and efficient dithizone-functionalized solid-phase extraction(SPE)procedure,online coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry,was developed for the first time for enrichment and determination of ultra-trace mercury(Hg)species(inorganic divalent Hg(Hg(Ⅱ)),methylmercury(CH_(3)Hg(Ⅱ))and ethylmercury(C_(2)H_(5)Hg(Ⅱ))in cereals and environmental samples.In the proposed method,functionalization of the commercial C_(18) column with dithizone,enrichment,and elution of the above Hg species can be completed online with the developed SPE device.A simple solution of 2-mercaptoethanol(1%(V/V))could be used as an eluent for both the SPE and HPLC separation of Hg species,significantly simplifying the method and instrumen-tation.The online SPE method was optimized by varying dithizone dose,2-mercaptoethanol concentration,and sample volume.In addition,the effect of pH,coexisting interfering ions,and salt effect on the enrichment was also discussed.Under the optimized conditions,the detection limits of Hg species for 5 mL water sample were 0.15 ng/L for Hg(Ⅱ),0.07 ng/L for CH_(3)Hg(Ⅱ),and 0.04 ng/L for C_(2)H_(5)Hg(Ⅱ)with recoveries in the range of 85%-100%.The developed dithizone-functionalized C_(18) SPE column can be reused after a single function-alization,which significantly simplifies the enrichment step.Moreover,the stability of Hg species enriched on the SPE column demonstrated its suitability for field sampling of Hg species for later laboratory analysis.This environment-friendly method offers a robust tool to detect ultra-trace Hg species in cereals and environmental samples. | Ying Wang Ailing Zhu Yingying Fang Changjun Fan Yanli Guo Zhiqiang Tan Yongguang Yin Yong Cai Guibin Jiang | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5: | 0 |

| 19 | In vivo spatial-spectral photoacoustic microscopy enabled by optical evanescent wave sensing显示文摘In addition to offering morphological visualizations via capture of the spatial distributions of optical absorption,photoacoustic imaging technology can reveal abundant physical information about biological particles,including their orientation,density,and viscoelasticity,through analysis of the pressure transients in the spectral domain.However,the low-amplitude wideband photoacoustic signals of intrinsic microscopic optically-absorbing objects under the action of confined photoacoustic excitation power continue to hinder simultaneous photoacoustic structural imaging and spectroscopic analysis of the nonfluorescent chromophores in living biological tissues because of the inadequate responses to photoacoustic impulses observed in most photoacoustic imaging setups that include piezoelectric transducers.Building upon a recently-developed optical evanescent wave sensor that can respond to ultrasound with high sensitivity over a broad frequency range,we propose in vivo spatial-spectral photoacoustic microscopy for recovery of structural imaging in three dimensions and characterization of anatomical features in the acoustic frequency domain.Label-free photoacoustic images of a living zebrafish are acquired in which spectroscopically-resolved differentiation of the microarchitecture is accessed,along with isometric micrometer-scale volumetric visualizations.The proposed imaging technology could potentially provide more comprehensive evaluations of the physiopathological status of living small animals. | Fan Yang Yushu Dong Changjun Min Yejun He Siwei Zhu Hao Liu Wei Song Xiaocong Yuan | 2023 | Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2023,,2: | 0 |
