| 2 | Petroleum hydrocarbons and their effects on fishery species in the Bohai Sea, North China显示文摘Systematic studies on the changes in concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons (PHs) and their effects on fishery species in the Bohai Sea during 1974-2004 are presented. Changes in PHs concentrations were closely related to Yellow River runoff. Concentrations of PHs accumulated in fish and shrimp increased by about 0.712 mg/kg dry weight when trophic level of fish and shrimps increased by 1. Attention should also be paid to the high PHs concentrations in mollusks along the coastal waters of the Bohai Sea. Average concentration of PHs in the adjacent coastal waters of Tianjin City during 1996-2005 decreased the population growth rates of fish, crustaceans and mollusks in the Bohai Sea by 2.58%, 6.59% and 2.33%, respectively. | 3 | GSA:Genome Sequence Archive显示文摘With the rapid development of sequencing technologies towards higher throughput and lower cost, sequence data are generated at an unprecedentedly explosive rate. To provide an efficient and easy-to-use platform for managing huge sequence data, here we present Genome Sequence Archive(GSA; http://gffzzdbc7b6aaae734bddhfqxxcbo0cvc660kb.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/gsa or http://gffzz4eaf941a184140e3hfqxxcbo0cvc660kb.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn), a data repository for archiving raw sequence data. In compliance with data standards and structures of the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration(INSDC), GSA adopts four data objects(Bio Project, Bio Sample,Experiment, and Run) for data organization, accepts raw sequence reads produced by a variety of sequencing platforms, stores both sequence reads and metadata submitted from all over the world,and makes all these data publicly available to worldwide scientific communities. | 4 | Urban Expansion in China Based on Remote Sensing Technology:A Review显示文摘Urban areas and its evolution are important anthropogenic indicators and human ecological footprints, and play decisive roles in environmental change analysis, global geo-conditional monitoring, and sustainable development. China has the highest rate of urban expansion and has emerged as an urban expansion hotspot worldwide. In this paper, the progress of studies on Chinese urban expansion based on remote sensing technology are summarized and analyzed from the aspects of urban area definition, remotely sensed imagery applied in urban expansion, monitoring methods of urban expansion, and urban expansion applications. Existing issues and future directions of Chinese urban expansion are discussed and proposed. | 7 | ZNF804A Variation May Affect Hippocampal-Prefrontal Resting-State Functional Connectivity in Schizophrenic and Healthy Individuals显示文摘The ZNF804 A variant rs1344706 has consistently been associated with schizophrenia and plays a role in hippocampal-prefrontal functional connectivity during working memory. Whether the effect exists in the resting state and in patients with schizophrenia remains unclear. In this study, we investigated the ZNF804 A polymorphism at rs1344706 in 92 schizophrenic patients and 99 healthy controls of Han Chinese descent, and used resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging to explore the functional connectivity in the participants. We found a significant main effect of genotype on the resting-state functional connectivity(RSFC) between the hippocampus and the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(DLPFC) in both schizophrenic patients and healthy controls. The homozygous ZNF804 A rs1344706 genotype(AA) conferred a high risk of schizophrenia, and also exhibited significantly decreased resting functional coupling between the left hippocampus and right DLPFC(F(2,165) = 13.43,P \ 0.001). The RSFC strength was also correlated with cognitive performance and the severity of psychosis in schizophrenia. | 9 | Investigation and experimental validation of curcumin-related mechanisms against hepatocellular carcinoma based on network pharmacology显示文摘Objective:To determine the potential molecular mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effect of curcumin on hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)by network pharmacology and experimental in vitro validation.Methods:The predictive targets of curcumin or HCC were collected from several databases.the identified overlapping targets were crossed with Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)analyses using the Database for Annotation,Visualization,and Integrated Discovery(DAVID)platform.Two of the candidate pathways were selected to conduct an experimental verification.The 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide tetrazolium(MTT)assay was used to determine the effect of curcumin on the viability of Hep G2 and LO2 cells.The apoptosis and autophagy of Hep G2 cells were respectively detected by flow cytometry and transmission electron microscopy.Besides,western blot and real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR)were employed to verify the p53 apoptotic pathway and adenosine 5’-monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPK)autophagy pathway.Hep G2 cells were pretreated with pifithrin-α(PFT-α)and GSK690693 for further investigation.Results:The 167 pathways analyzed by KEGG included apoptosis,autophagy,p53,and AMPK pathways.The GO enrichment analysis demonstrated that curcumin was involved in cellular response to drug,regulation of apoptotic pathway,and so on.The in vitro experiments also confirmed that curcumin can inhibit the growth of Hep G2 cells by promoting the apoptosis of p53 pathway and autophagy through the AMPK pathway.Furthermore,the protein and messenger RNA(m RNA)of the two pathways were downregulated in the inhibitor-pretreated group compared with the experimental group.The damage-regulated autophagy modulator(DRAM)in the PFT-α-pretreated group was downregulated,and p62 in the GSK690693-pretreated group was upregulated.Conclusions:Curcumin can treat HCC through the p53 apoptotic pathway and the AMPK/Unc-51-like kinase 1(ULK1)autophagy pathway,in which the mutual transformation of autophagy and apoptosis may occur through DRAM and p62. | Yang CHEN Qian LI Sisi REN Ting CHEN Bingtao ZHAI Jiangxue CHENG Xiaoyan SHI Liang SONG Yu FAN Dongyan GUO | 2022 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,8: | 3 |
| 10 | Piezo1 regulates migration and invasion of breast cancer cells via modulating cell mechanobiological properties显示文摘Cell migration and invasion are two essential processes during cancer metastasis. Increasing evidence has shown that the Piezo1 channel is involved in mediating cell migration and invasion in some types of cancers. However, the role of Piezo1 in the breast cancer and its underlying mechanisms have not been clarified yet. Here, we show that Piezo1 is high-expressed in breast cancer cell (BCC) lines, despite its complex expression in clinical patient database. Piezo1 knockdown (Piezo1-KD) promotes unconfined BCC migration, but impedes confined cell migration. Piezo1 may mediate BCC migration through the balances of cell adhesion, cell stiffness, and contractility. Furthermore, Piezo1-KD inhibits BCC invasion by impairing the invadopodium formation and suppressing the expression of metalloproteinases (MMPs) as well. However, the proliferation and cell cycle of BCCs are not significantly affected by Piezo1. | 11 | Components of complex interventions for healthcare: A narrative synthesis of qualitative studies显示文摘Objective:Qualitative research on therapeutic components is necessary to evaluate the efficacy of complex interventions in healthcare.As few qualitative syntheses have been conducted,this study aimed to derive a new conceptual framework for understanding the components of complex interventions and provide evidence for the implementation and evaluation of complex healthcare interventions.Methods:A systematic search of seven databases was conducted to identify qualitative studies that explored components of complex healthcare interventions.Meta-ethnography was used to analyze the data and thematic analysis was used to build the conceptual framework.Results:Of the 35 included studies,most complex interventions were non-pharmacological,with cancer accounting for 22%,mental health for 14%,and stroke for 8%.Half of the studies were conducted in the United Kingdom.Three main categories emerged:what should healthcare workers do?what qualifications should they have?and what should patients do?Five main themes were identified:psychological,biological,cognitive and behavioral,environmental,and social support.Conclusion:This analysis provides a reference for designing components of complex interventions in further studies. | Sisi Ma He Yu Ning Liang Sijia Zhu Xun Li Nicola Robinson Jianping Liu | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,2: | 2 |

| 15 | Assessing 40 years of spatial dynamics and patterns in megacities along the Belt and Road region using satellite imagery显示文摘The Belt and Road(B&R)region,a vital area with historical,economic,cultural and political significance,has undergone rapid urbanization in the past several decades,especially in the form of urban expansion.In this study,20 megacities in the B&R region were selected to explore different spatiotemporal patterns of urban expansion.Object-oriented support vector machines(SVM),annual growth rate(AGR)models,and landscape metrics were employed to delineate the urban areas and characterize spatiotemporal characteristics and landscape patterns of these megacities during 1975–2015.All urban maps presented high overall accuracies(80.70%–95.90%)and overall Kappa coefficients(0.76–0.95).The study revealed that megacities in the B&R region have undergone different types of urban sprawl,mainly adopting a‘concentric circle’pattern in inland areas and a‘sector’pattern in coastal areas.Besides,six expansion modes were summarized according to the AGRs of individual megacities.Differences existed in megacities of the developing and developed countries and among five sub-regions.Moreover,‘dispersion,gathering,and re-dispersion’and‘coalescence’were two major landscape patterns of megacities in developing and developed countries.Results of this study can provide a scientific reference for urban planning and aid in sustainable development of local areas. | Zhongchang Sun Sisi Yu Huadong Guo Cuizhen Wang ZengXiang Zhang Ru Xu | 2021 | International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,1: | 1 |
| 16 | Validation and correction of sea surface salinity retrieval from SMAP显示文摘In this study, sea surface salinity(SSS) Level 3(L3) daily product derived from soil moisture active passive(SMAP)during the year 2016, was validated and compared with SSS daily products derived from soil Moisture and ocean salinity(SMOS) and in-situ measurements. Generally, the root mean square error(RMSE) of the daily SSS products is larger along the coastal areas and at high latitudes and is smaller in the tropical regions and open oceans. Comparisons between the two types of daily satellite SSS product revealed that the RMSE was higher in the daily SMOS product than in the SMAP, whereas the bias of the daily SMOS was observed to be less than that of the SMAP when compared with Argo floats data. In addition, the latitude-dependent bias and RMSE of the SMAP SSS were found to be primarily influenced by the precipitation and the sea surface temperature(SST). Then, a regression analysis method which has adopted the precipitation and SST data was used to correct the larger bias of the daily SMAP product.
