The Sequence of Magmatic-Tectonic Events and Orogenic Processes of the Yanshan Belt, North China显示文摘This paper emphasizes that the interactive constraints of geology and isotopic dating is the best approach to construct the geological event sequence, and has compiled 106 data of reasonable isotopic ages for the igneous rocks of the Yanshan belt. We propose a sequence of mgmatic-tectonic events in the Jurassic-Cretaceous Yanshan orogen of North China. Five orogenic episodes are divided, (1) pre-and initial orogenic episode (Early Jurassic); (2) early orogenic episode (Middle Jurassic); (3) peak orogenic episode (Late Jurassic); (4) late orogenic episode (early Early Cretaceous),and (5) post-orogenic episode. Each episode is a short cycle, all of the orogenic processes construct a longer cycle, and they, in general, followed a counter-clockwise (ccw) PTt path. Finally, it is suggested that the Yanshanian movement was so intensive that the magmatism and tectonic deformation had involved all the lithosphere thickness and the lateAchaean-formed cratonic lithosphere had been significantly reworked. | DENG Jinfu, SU Shangguo, MO Xuanxue, ZHAO Guochun, XIAO Qinghiu, JI Guangyi,QIU Ruizhao, ZHAO Hailing, LUO Zhaohua, WANG Yang and LIU Cui China University of Geosciences, Beijing 100083 and Key Laboratory of Lithospheric Tectonics and Lithoprobe Techniques, Ministry of Education of China | 2004 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2004,78,1: | 35
Blockade of cholecystokinin-2 receptor and cyclooxygenase-2 synergistically induces cell apoptosis, and inhibits the proliferation of human gastric cancer cells in vitro显示文摘Gastrin and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) playimportant roles in the carcinogenesis and progression ofgastric cancer. However,it remains unknown whether the combination of cholecystokinin-2(CCK-2) receptor antagonist plus COX-2 inhibitor exerts synergistic anti-tumor effects on human gastric cancer. Here,we demonstrated that the combination of AG-041R(a CCK-2 receptor antagonist) plus NS-398(a selective COX-2 inhibitor) treatment had synergistic effects on proliferation inhibition, apoptosis induction,down-regulation of Bcl-2 and up-regulation of Bax expression in MKN-45 cells. These results indicate that simultaneous targeting of CCK-2 receptor and COX-2 may inhibit gastric cancer development more effectively than targeting either molecule alone.(C)2008 Elsevier Ireland Ltd.All rights reserved. | Sun, W. | 4 | Effect of Substructure on Toughness of Lath Martensite/Bainite Mixed Structure in Low-Carbon Steels显示文摘The quantitative analysis of substructure in the martensite/bainite mixed structure, which is obtained from low-carbon NiCrMoV steels under different cooling conditions, was made by means of optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), and transmission electron microscope (TEM), in order to research the effect on toughness. The test results indicate that the toughness of the steel is enhanced with the decrease in the packet and block size under the condition of the same prior austenite grain size mixed with different ratios of martensite and bainite while the lath width is about 0.38 μm. The calculation shows that both the packet and block boundaries have the same hindering effect on crack extension. Furthermore, the effect of the block width on impact energy is much larger than that of the packet. Therefore, the block can be used as microstructural substructure to affect the toughness in low-carbon martensite steels, suggesting that the block size is 'the effective grain size' for controlling toughness. | LUO Zhi-jun SHEN Jun-chang SU Hang DING Yue-hua YANG Cai-fu ZHU Xing | 2010 | Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2010,17,11: | 24
Fibrinogen-like protein 2/fibroleukin prothrombinase contributes to tumor hypercoagulability via IL-2 and IFN-γ显示文摘AIM: To examine the role of Fibrinogen-like protein 2 (fgl2)/fibroleukin in tumor development. Fgl2 has been reported to play a vital role in the pathogenesis in MHV-3 (mouse hepatitis virus) induced fulminant and severe hepatitis, spontaneous abortion,allo-and xeno-graft rejection by mediating 'immune coagulation'. METHODS: Tumor tissues from 133 patients with six types of distinct cancers and the animal tumor tissues from human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) model on nude mice (established from high metastasis HCC cell line MHCC97LM6) were obtained. RESULTS: Hfgl2 was detected in tumor tissues from 127 out of 133 patients as well as tumor tissues collected from human HCC nude mice. Hfgl2 was highly expressed both in cancer cells and interstitial inflammatory cells including macrophages,NK cells, and CD8+ T lymphocytes and vascular endothelial cells. Hfgl2 mRNA was localized in cells that expressed hfgl2 protein. Fibrin (nogen) co-localization with hfgl2 expression was determined by dual immunohistochemical staining. In vitro,IL-2 and IFN-γ increased hfgl2 mRNA by 10-100 folds and protein expression in both THP-1 and HUVEC cell lines. One-stage clotting assays demonstrated that THP-1 and HUVEC cells expressing hfgl2 had increased procoagulant activity following cytokines stimulation. CONCLUSION: The hfg12 contributes to the hypercoagulability in cancer and may induce tumor angiogenesis and metastasis via cytokine induction. | Kai Su Fang Chen Wei-Ming Yan Qi-Li Zeng Li Xu Dong Xi Bin Pi Xiao-Ping Luo Qin Ning | 2008 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2008,14,39: | 20

Simvastatin inhibits apoptosis of endothelial cells induced by sepsis through upregulating the expression of Bcl-2 and downregulating Bax显示文摘BACKGROUND: Many studies have showed that apoptosis of endothelial cells plays a curial role in the progress of sepsis. But the role of simvastatin in apoptosis of endothelial cells induced by sepsis is not clear. The present study aimed to investigate the role of simvastatin in apoptosis of endothelial cells induced by sepsis and its mechanism.METHODS: Human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs) were randomly divided into three groups: control group, sepsis serum intervention group(sepsis group) and simvastatin+sepsis serum intervention group(simvastatin group). After 24-hour incubation with corresponding culture medium, the relative growth rate of HUVECS in different groups was detected by MTT assay; the apoptosis of HUVECs was detected by Hoechst33258 assay and fl ow cytometry; and the expression of the Bcl-2 and Bax genes of HUVECs was detected by PCR.RESULTS: Compared with the sepsis group, HUVECs in the simvastatin group had a higher relative growth rate. Apoptotic HUVECs decreased significantly in the simvastatin group in comparison with the sepsis group. Expression of the Bcl-2 gene in HUVECs decreased obviously, but the expression of the Bax gene increased obviously after 24-hour incubation with sepsis serum; however, the expression of the Bcl-2 and Bax genes was just the opposite in the simvastatin group.CONCLUSIONS: Our study suggests that simvastatin can inhibit apoptosis of endothelial cells induced by sepsis through upregulating the expression of Bcl-2 and downregulating Bax. It may be one of the mechanisms for simvastatin to treat sepsis. | Hui Fu Qiao-sheng Wang Qiong Luo Si Tan Hua Su Shi-lin Tang Zheng-liang Zhao Li-ping Huang | 2014 | World Journal of Emergency Medicine2014,5,4: | 18

Polyphyllin I inhibits proliferation and metastasis of ovarian cancer cell line HO-8910PM invitro显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the anticancer mechanism of polyphyllin I (PPI), a Traditional Chinese Medicine, on the ovarian cancer cell line HO-8910PM invitro. METHODS: Transwell chamber invasive assays were used to investigate the inhibitory capacity of PPI on HO-8910PM metastasis. Gene expression profiling chips was used to screen differentially expressed genes between experiment group and control group. Reverse transcription PCR and Western blotting were used to determine mRNA and protein levels. RESULTS: With increasing PPI concentration, the metastatic capacity of cells decreased, with significance differences between the experimental and control groups (P<0.01) as well as between two concentration groups. Gene expression profiling identified 123 differentially expressed genes, of which 70 were downregulated and 53 were upregulated. The genes were involved in multiple signal transduction pathways, including apoptosis, proliferation and metastasis. Real-time PCR (RT-PCR) showed that differential genes PIK3C2B, Caspase 9and Wnt5A were downregulated with increasing PPI, showing an evident dose-effect relationship. The c-Jun was an exception. As the PPI dosage increased and the exposure time was extended, c-Jun relative expression showed an upward trend. There were significant differences between the experiment and control (P<0.05). Western blot analyses showed that PPI treatment decreased levels of Caspase 9, Wnt5A and PIK3C2B and increased activatedCaspase9,c-Junandp-c-Junexpressionlevels. CONCLUSION: PPI has strong antitumor and anti transfer activity. It can activate c-Jun expression and the JNK signaling pathway, elicit cell apoptosis via the mitochondrial-mediated Caspase activation pathway, and finally inhibit tumor growth and mi- gration in vitro. The downregulation of PIK3C2B and Wnt5A jointly inhibit the proliferation and metastasis of HO-8910PM. PPI may be a novel treatment for ovarian cancer. | Linhui Gu Jianguo Feng Haiyan Xu Min Luo Dan Su | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,3: | 15
The HuangZaoSi Maize Genome Provides Insights into Genomic Variation and Improvement History of Maize显示文摘Maize is a globally important crop that was a classic model plant for genetic studies. Here, we report a 2.2 Gb draft genome sequence of an elite maize line, HuangZaoSi (HZS). Hybrids bred from HZS-improved lines (HILs) are planted in more than 60% of maize fields in China. Proteome clustering of six completed sequeneed maize genomes show that 638 proteins fall into 264 HZS-specific gene families with the majority of contributions from tandem duplication events. Resequencing and comparative analysis of 40 HZSrelated lines reveals the breeding history of HILs. More than 60% of identified selective sweeps were clustered in identity.by.descent conserved regions, and yield-related genes/QTLs were enriched in HZS characteristic selected regions. Furthermore, we dem on strated that HZS-specific family genes were not uniformly distributed in the genome but enriched in improvement/function.related genomic regions. This study provides an important and novel resource for maize genome research and expands our knowledge on the breadth of genomic variation and improvement history of maize. | Chunhui Li Wei Song Yingfeng Luo Shenghan Gao Ruyang Zhang Zi Shi Xiaqing Wang Ronghuan Wang Fengge Wang Jidong Wang Yanxin Zhao Aiguo Su Shuai Wang Xin Li Meijie Luo Shuaishuai Wang Yunxia Zhang Jianrong Ge Xinyu Tan Ye Yuan Xiaochun Bi Hang He Jianbing Yan Yuandong Wang Songnian Hu Jiuran Zhao | 2019 | Molecular Plant2019,12,3: | 15
Endoloop ligation after endoscopic mucosal resection using a transparent cap: A novel method to treat small rectal carcinoid tumors显示文摘BACKGROUND Local endoscopic resection is an effective method for the treatment of small rectal carcinoid tumors, but remnant tumor at the margin after resection remains to be an issue.AIM To evaluate the efficacy and safety of resection of small rectal carcinoid tumors by endoloop ligation after cap-endoscopic mucosal resection(LC-EMR) using a transparent cap.METHODS Thirty-four patients with rectal carcinoid tumors of less than 10 mm in diameter were treated by LC-EMR(n = 22) or endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)(n =12) between January 2016 and December 2017. Demographic data, complete resection rates, pathologically complete resection rates, operation duration, and postoperative complications were collected. All cases were followed for 6 to 30 mo.RESULTS A total of 22 LC-EMR cases and 12 ESD cases were enrolled. The average age was48.18 ± 12.31 and 46.17 ± 12.57 years old, and the tumor size was 7.23 ± 1.63 mm and 7.50 ± 1.38 mm, respectively, for the LC-EMR and ESD groups. Resection time in the ESD group was longer than that in the LC-EMR group(15.67 ± 2.15 min vs 5.91 ± 0.87 min; P < 0.001). All lesions were completely resected at one time. No perforation or delayed bleeding was observed in either group.Pathologically complete resection(P-CR) rate was 86.36%(19/22) and 91.67%(11/12) in the LC-EMR and ESD groups(P = 0.646), respectively. Two of the three cases with a positive margin in the LC-EMR group received transanal endoscopic microsurgery(TEM) and tumor cells were not identified in the postoperative specimens. The other case with a positive margin chose follow-up without further operation. One case with remnant tumor after ESD received further local ligation treatment. Neither local recurrence nor lymph node metastasis was found during the follow-up period.CONCLUSION LC-EMR appears to be an efficient and simple method for the treatment of small rectal carcinoid tumors, which can effectively avoid margin remnant tumors. | Ding-Guo Zhang Su Luo Feng Xiong Zheng-Lei Xu Ying-Xue Li Jun Yao Li-Sheng Wang | 2019 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2019,25,10: | 15
Clinical role of (18)~F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography in post-operative follow up of gastric cancer: Initial results显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the clinical role of 18F-fluorodeo-xyglucose positron emission and computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) in detection of gastric cancer recurrence after initial surgical resection. METHODS: In the period from January 2007 to May 2008, 23 patients who had previous surgical resection of histopathologically diagnosed gastric cancer underwent a total of 25 18F-FDG PET/CT scans as follow-up visits in our center. The standard of reference for tumor recurrence consisted of histopathologic confirmation or clinical follow-up information for at least 5 mo after PET/CT examinations. RESULTS: PET/CT was positive in 14 patients (61%) and negative in 9 (39%). When correlated with final diagnosis, which was confirmed by histopathologic evidence of tumor recurrence in 8 of the 23 patients (35%) and by clinical follow-up in 15 (65%), PET/CT was true positive in 12 patients, false positive in 2, true negative in 8 and false negative in 2. Overall, the accuracy of PET/CT was 82.6%, the negative predictive value (NPV) was 77.7%, and the positive predictive value (PPV) was 85.7%. The 2 false positive PET/CT findings were actually chronic inflammatory tissue lesions. For the two patients with false negativePET/CT, the f inal diagnosis was recurrence of mucinous adenocarcinoma in the anastomosis in one patient and abdominal wall metastasis in the other. Importantly, PET/CT revealed true-positive findings in 11 (47.8%) patients who had negative or no definite findings by CT. PET/CT revealed extra-abdominal metastases in 7 patients and additional esophageal carcinoma in one patient. Clinical treatment decisions were changed in 7 (30.4%) patients after introducing PET/CT into their conventional post-operative follow-up program. CONCLUSION: Whole body 18F-FDG PET/CT was highly effective in discriminating true recurrence in post-operative patients with gastric cancer and had important impacts on clinical decisions in a considerable portion of patients. | Long Sun Xin-Hui Su Yong-Song Guan Wei-Ming Pan Zuo-Ming Luo Ji-Hong Wei Hua Wu | 2008 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2008,14,29: | 14
Complement C3 activation regulates the production of tRNA-derived fragments Gly-tRFs and promotes alcohol-induced liver injury and steatosis显示文摘Complement is known to play a role in alcoholic fatty liver disease (AFLD), but the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood, thereby constraining the development of a rational approach for therapeutic intervention in the complement system. C3 deficiency has been shown to impart protective effects against ethanol-induced hepatic steatosis and inflammation. Here we demonstrate a protection effect in wild-type mice by treatment with CR2-Crry, a specific inhibitor of C3 activation. The expression of glycine transfer (t) RNA-derived fragments (Gly-tRFs) is upregulated in ethanol-fed mice and inhibition of Gly-tRFs in vivo decreases chronic ethanol feeding-induced hepatosteatosis without affecting inflammation. The expression of Gly-tRF was downregulated in C3-deficient or CR2-Crry-treated mice, but not in C5-deficient mice;Gly-tRF expression was restored by the C3 activation products C3a or Asp (C3a-des-Arg) via the regulation of CYP2E1. Transcriptome profiling of hepatic tissues showed that Gly-tRF inhibitors upregulate the expression of sirtuin1 (Sirt1) and subsequently affect downstream lipogenesis and β-oxidation pathways. Mechanistically, Gly-tRF interacts with AGO3 to downregulate Sirt1 expression via sequence complementarity in the 3′ UTR. Notably, the expression levels of C3d, CYP2E1 and Gly-tRF are upregulated, whereas Sirt1 is decreased in AFLD patients compared to healthy controls. Collectively, our findings suggest that C3 activation products contribute to hepatosteatosis by regulating the expression of Gly-tRF. Complement inhibition at the C3 activation step and treatment with Gly-tRF inhibitors may be potential and precise therapeutic approaches for AFLD. | Fudi Zhong Zhigao Hu Keqing Jiang Biao Lei Zhan Wu Guandou Yuan Hongliang Luo Chunqiang Dong Bo Tang Chaowen Zheng Shuai Yang Yonglian Zeng Zhenya Guo Shuiping Yu Huizhao Su Guo Zhang Xiaoqiang Qiu Stephen Tomlinson Songqing He | 2019 | Cell Research2019,29,7: | 14
Baicalein ameliorates ulcerative colitis by improving intestinal epithelial barrier via AhR/IL-22 pathway in ILC3s显示文摘Ulcerative colitis(UC)is a chronic inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract, which is closely related to gut barrier dysfunction.Emerging evidence shows that interleukin-22(IL-22)derived from group 3 innate lymphoid cells(ILC3s)confers benefits on intestinal barrier, and IL-22 expression is controlled by aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR).Previous studies show that baicalein protects the colon from inflammatory damage. In this study we elucidated the molecular mechanisms underlying the protective effect of baicalein on intestinal barrier function in colitis mice.Mice were administered baicalein(10,20,40 mg·kg^(-1)·d^(-1),i.g.)for 10 days;the mice freely drank 3%dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)on D1-D7 to induce colitis. We showed that baicalein administration simultaneously ameliorated gut inflammation, decreased intestinal permeability, restored tight junctions of colons possibly via promoting AhR/IL-22 pathway.Co-administration of AhR antagonist CH223191(10 mg/kg,i.p.)partially blocked the therapeutic effects of baicalein in colitis mice, whereas AhR agonist FICZ(1μg,i.p.)ameliorated symptoms and gut barrier function in colitis mice.In a murine lymphocyte line MNK-3,baicalein(5-20μM)dose-dependently increased the expression of AhR downstream target protein CYP1A1,and enhanced IL-22 production through facilitating AhR nuclear translocation, these effects were greatly diminished in shAhR-MNK3 cells, suggesting that baicalein induced IL-22 production in AhR-dependent manner. To further clarify that,we constructed an in vitro system consisting of MNK-3 and Caco-2 cells,in which MNK-3 cell supernatant treated with baicalein could decrease FITC-dextran permeability and promoted the expression of tight junction proteins ZO-1 and occluding in Caco-2 cells. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that baicalein ameliorates colitis by improving intestinal epithelial barrier via AhR/IL-22 pathway in ILC3s,thus providing a potential therapy for UC. | Yan-yang Li Xiao-jing Wang Yu-lin Su Qing Wang Shao-wei Huang Zeng-feng Pan Yan-ping Chen Jun-jie Liang Mei-ling Zhang Xue-qian Xie Zhi-yun Wu Jin-yan Chen Lian Zhou Xia Luo | 2022 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2022,43,6: | 14

COVID-19: Challenges to GIS with Big Data显示文摘The outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has caused more than 100,000 people infected and thousands of deaths.Currently, the number of infections and deaths is still increasing rapidly.COVID-19 seriously threatens human health, production, life, social functioning and international relations. In the fight against COVID-19,Geographic Information Systems(GIS)and big data technologies have played an important role in many aspects, including the rapid aggregation of multi-source big data, rapid visualization of epidemic information, spatial tracking of confirmed cases, prediction of regional transmission, spatial segmentation of the epidemic risk and prevention level, balancing and management of the supply and demand of material resources, and socialemotional guidance and panic elimination, which provided solid spatial information support for decision-making,measures formulation, and effectiveness assessment of COVID-19 prevention and control.GIS has developed and matured relatively quickly and has a complete technological route for data preparation, platform construction, model construction, and map production. However, for the struggle against the widespread epidemic, the main challenge is finding strategies to adjust traditional technical methods and improve speed and accuracy of information provision for social management. At the data level,in the era of big data, data no longer come mainly from the government but are gathered from more diverse enterprises. As a result, the use of GIS faces difficulties in data acquisition and the integration of heterogeneous data, which requires governments, businesses, and academic institutions to jointly promote the formulation of relevant policies. At the technical level, spatial analysis methods for big data are in the ascendancy.Currently and for a long time in the future, the development of GIS should be strengthened to form a data-driven system for rapid knowledge acquisition, which signifies ts that GIS should be used to reinforce the social operation parameterization of models and methods, especially when providing support for social management. | Chenghu Zhou Fenzhen Su Tao Pei An Zhang Yunyan Du Bin Luo Zhidong Cao Juanle Wang Wen Yuan Yunqiang Zhu Ci Song Jie Chen Jun Xu Fujia Li Ting Ma Lili Jiang Fengqin Yan Jiawei Yi Yunfeng Hu Yilan Liao Han Xiao | 2020 | Geography and Sustainability2020,1,1: | 13
Transgenic rhesus monkeys carrying the human MCPH1 gene copies show human-like neoteny of brain development显示文摘Brain size and cognitive skills are the most dramatically changed traits in humans during evolution and yet the genetic mechanisms underlying these human-specific changes remain elusive. Here,we successfully generated 11 transgenic rhesus monkeys(8 first-generation and 3 second-generation)carrying human copies of MCPH1,an important gene for brain development and brain evolution.Brain-image and tissue-section analyses indicated an altered pattern of neural-cell differentiation, resulting in a delayed neuronal maturation and neural-fiber myelination of the transgenic monkeys, similar to the known evolutionary change of developmental delay(neoteny)in humans.Further brain-transcriptome and tissue-section analyses of major developmental stages showed a marked human-like expression delay of neuron differentiation and synaptic-signaling genes, providing a molecular explanation for the observed brain-developmental delay of the transgenic monkeys.More importantly, the transgenic monkeys exhibited better short-term memory and shorter reaction time compared with the wild-type controls in the delayed-matching-to-sample task. The presented data represent the first attempt to experimentally interrogate the genetic basis of human brain origin using a transgenic monkey model and it values the use of non-human primates in understanding unique human traits. | Lei Shi Xin Luo Jin Jiang Yongchang chen Cirong Liu Ting Hu Min Li Qiang Lin Yanjiao Li Jun Huang Hong Wang Yuyu Niu Yundi Shi Martin Styner Jianhong Wang Yi Lu Xuejin Sun Hualin Yu Weizhi Ji Bing Su | 2019 | National Science Review2019,6,3: | 12
