| 1 | Single-Atom Catalysts for Electrochemical Hydrogen Evolution Reaction: Recent Advances and Future Perspectives显示文摘Hydrogen,a renewable and outstanding energy carrier with zero carbon dioxide emission,is regarded as the best alternative to fossil fuels.The most preferred route to large-scale production of hydrogen is by water electrolysis from the intermittent sources(e.g.,wind,solar,hydro,and tidal energy).However,the efficiency of water electrolysis is very much dependent on the activity of electrocatalysts.Thus,designing high-effective,stable,and cheap materials for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)could have a substantial impact on renewable energy technologies.Recently,single-atom catalysts(SACs)have emerged as a new frontier in catalysis science,because SACs have maximum atom-utilization efficiency and excellent catalytic reaction activity.Various synthesis methods and analytical techniques have been adopted to prepare and characterize these SACs.In this review,we discuss recent progress on SACs synthesis,characterization methods,and their catalytic applications.Particularly,we highlight their unique electrochemical characteristics toward HER.Finally,the current key challenges in SACs for HER are pointed out and some potential directions are proposed as well. | Zonghua Pu Ibrahim Saana Amiinu Ruilin Cheng Pengyan Wang Chengtian Zhang Shichun Mu Weiyue Zhao Fengmei Su Gaixia Zhang Shijun Liao Shuhui Sun | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,2: | 10 |
| 2 | The carbon nanotubes-based materials and their applications for organic pollutant removal: A critical review显示文摘The carbon nanotubes(CNTs) as the emerging materials for organic pollutant removal have gradually become a burgeoning research field.Herein,a mini-review of CNTs-based materials curre ntly studies for organic pollutant elimination is presented.This review summarizes the preparation methods of CNTsbased materials.CNTs-based materials can be used as adsorbents to remove organic pollutants in wastewater.The adsorption mechanisms mainly include surface diffusio n,pore diffusion and adsorption reaction.Most importantly,an in-depth overview of CNTs-based materials currently available in advanced oxidation processes(AOPs) applications for wastewater treatment is proposed.CNTs-based materials can catalyze different oxidants(e.g.,hydrogen peroxide(H2 O2),persulfates(PMS/PDS),ozone(O3) and ferrate/permanganate(Fe(Ⅵ)/Mn(Ⅶ)) to generate more reactive oxygen species(ROS) for organic pollutant elimination.Moreover,the possible reaction mechanisms of removing organic pollutants by CNTs-based materials are summarized systematically and discussed in detail.Finally,application potential and future research directions of CNTs-based materials in the environmental remediation field are proposed. | Jiali Peng Yongli He Chenying Zhou Shijun Su Bo Lai | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,5: | 7 |

| 9 | Enhanced electro-oxidation of formic acid by a PdPt bimetallic catalyst on a CeO_2-modified carbon support显示文摘PdPt bimetallic catalysts that employ CeO2-modified carbon black as a support have been prepared using an organic colloidal method.PdPt/CeO2-C shows excellent performance toward the anodic oxidation of formic acid.The effects of varying both Pd to Pt ratio and CeO2 content have been investigated.The optimal Pd to Pt atomic ratio is 15,indicating that addition of small amounts of Pt can significantly enhance the activity of the catalyst.When the CeO2 content in the catalyst reaches as high as ~15 wt.%,the catalyst shows the maximum activity.Adding CeO2 not only enhances the catalytic activity of the material,but may also change the mechanism of its catalysis of the anodic oxidation of formic acid.Pd15Pt1/15CeO2-C exhibited 60% higher activity than Pd/C,and had a negative shift in onset potential of more than 0.1 V.Based on characterization by X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,thermogravimetric analysis and transmission electron microscopy,the interactions between the components are revealed and discussed in detail. | YANG LiJun SU HuaNeng SHU Ting LIAO ShiJun | 2012 | Science China Chemistry2012,55,3: | 1 |
| 10 | Research on the discrimination methods of algae based on the fluorescence excitation spectra显示文摘The excitation spectra of chlorophyll (Chl) fluorescence can be used to differentiate phytoplankton populations at phylum level in vivo and in situ within a few minutes.The investigated phytoplankton divisions (Dinophyta,Bacillariophyta,Chrysophyta,Cyanophyta,Cryptophyta,Chlorophyta) are each characterized by a specific composition of photosynthetic antenna pigments and,consequently,by a specific excitation spectrum of the Chl fluorescence.Norm excitation spectra (emission of 680 nm and excitation of 400–600 nm) of every division were obtained from several species per division by a F4500 fluorescence spectrophotometer.Fisher’s linear discriminant analysis of the norm spectra shows that the divisions could be discriminated.The discrimination method,established by multivariate linear regression and weighted least squares,was used to differentiate the phytoplankton samples cultured in the laboratory and samples collected from the Jiaozhao Bay at division level.The correctly discriminated samples were more than 94% for single algal species ones,more than 84% for simulatively mixed ones,more than 83% for real mixed ones and 100% for samples collected from the Jiaozhou Bay for the dominant species.The method for phytoplankton differentiation described here can be applied to routine checking by fluorescence spectrophotometer,and benefit the monitoring and supervision tasks related to phytoplankton populations in the marine environments. | HU Xupeng SU Rongguo ZOU Weiming REN Shijun WANG Hongtao CHAI Xiaoping WANG Yiming | 2010 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2010,29,4: | 1 |

| 12 | Detection of genomic signatures for pig hairlessness using high-density SNP data显示文摘Hair provides thermal regulation for mammals and protects the skin from wounds,bites and ultraviolet(UV)radiation,and is important in adaptation to volatile environments.Pigs in nature are divided into hairy and hairless,which provide a good model for deciphering the molecular mechanisms of hairlessness.We conducted a genomic scan for genetically differentiated regions between hairy and hairless pigs using 60K SNP data,with the aim to better understand the genetic basis for the hairless phenotype in pigs.A total of 38405 SNPs in 498 animals from 36 diverse breeds were used to detect genomic signatures for pig hairlessness by estimating between-population(FST)values.Seven diversifying signatures between Yucatan hairless pig and hairy pigs were identified on pig chromosomes(SSC)1,3,7,8,10,11 and 16,and the biological functions of two notable genes,RGS17 and RB1,were revealed.When Mexican hairless pigs were contrasted with hairypigs,strong signatures were detected on SSC1 and SSC10,which harbor two functionally plausible genes,REV3L and BAMBI.KEGG pathway analysis showed a subset of overrepresented genes involved in the T cell receptor signaling pathway,MAPK signaling pathway and the tight junction pathways.All of these pathways may be important in local adaptability of hairless pigs.The potential mechanisms underlying the hairless phenotype in pigs are reported for the first time.RB1 and BAMBI are interesting candidate genes for the hairless phenotype in Yucatan hairless and Mexico hairless pigs,respectively.RGS17,REV3L,ICOS and RASGRP1 as well as other genes involved in the MAPK and T cell receptor signaling pathways may be important in environmental adaption by improved tolerance to UV damage in hairless pigs.These findings improve our understanding of the genetic basis for inherited hairlessness in pigs. | Ying SU Yi LONG Xinjun LIAO Huashui AI Zhiyan ZHANG Bin YANG Shijun XIAO Jianhong TANG Wenshui XIN Lusheng HUANG Jun REN Nengshui DING | 2014 | Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2014,1,4: | 0 |
